| 1 | Anatomical variation of infra-pyloric artery origination: A prospective multicenter observational study (IPA-Origin)显示文摘Objective: Infra-pyloric artery(IPA) is an important anatomical landmark in treatment of gastric cancer and is the key vessel for pylorus-preserving gastrectomy and subgroup of infra-pyloric lymph nodes. However, its anatomical variation is not thoroughly understood. Our study aimed to clarify the origination of the IPA.Methods: We did this prospective, multicenter, open-label, observational study at gastric surgery departments of34 hospitals in China. Gastric cancer patients aged 18 years or older and scheduled to undergo elective total or distal gastrectomy were assigned. During the surgery, IPA dissecting and exposing the origination point with photographs or video clips were required. The primary outcome was the origination of the IPA. Analysis of variance, χ~2 tests and Fisher's tests were used to analyze the differences between groups. The study is registered at Clinicaltrials.gov(No. NCT03071237).Results: Between May 8 and July 31, 2017, 429 patients were assigned for the study, and 419(97.7%) patients had the IPA dissected and recorded through photograph or video and were included in the primary outcome analysis. The median age was 62 years old, and 73.7% were male. Among the patients, 78.5% received laparoscopic surgery. Single IPA origination was identified in 398(95.0%) patients, including gastroduodenal artery(GDA) in154(36.8%) patients, anterior superior pancreaticoduodenal artery(ASPDA) in 130(31.0%) patients, and right gastroepiploic artery(RGEA) in 114(27.2%) patients. Fifteen(3.6%) patients were identified with multiple IPA and 6(1.4%) patients were identified as IPA absence. The differences in the distribution of surgical approach(P=0.003) and geographic area(P=0.030) were statistically significant. | 5 | Mitochondrial genome sequencing with short overlapping amplicons on MiSeq FGx system显示文摘With the development and maturation of massively parallel sequencing(MPS)technology,the mitochondrial genome(mitogenome)sequencing is increasingly applied in the forensic field.In this study,we employed the strategy of short overlapping amplicons for the whole mitogenome,library preparation with tagmentation using the Nextera®XT DNA Library Preparation Kit,sequencing on the MiSeq FGxTM Forensic Genomics System and analyzing data using the mitochondrial(mtDNA)MSR Plug-in and the mtDNA Variant Analyzer.A total of 27 libraries and 56 libraries were sequenced in a run using MiSeq Reagent Kit v2 and v3,respectively.Results showed more than 1800×of averaged depth of coverage(DoC)at each position.Concordant haplotypes of 9947 A and 2800 M were obtained at 32 variants.Cross-reactivity was observed with 1 ng primate DNA and 10 ng non-primate DNA but could be easily distinguished.Full and accurate variants were obtained from at least 50 pg input DNA and from minor contributors between 19:1 and 1:19 mixed ratios with known reference profiles.More than 86%variants were detected from≥200-bp degraded samples but its haplotype was assigned to more ancestral haplogroup.Further,a total of 3962 variants were observed at 613 nucleotide positions from 103 Xibe mitogenomes with 25:1 ratio of transitions to transversions.Two new transversions(C13735A and A14755C)and two tri-alleles at nps 9824 and 16092 were identified.There were 103 unique mitogenome haplotypes from 103 Chinese Xibe that were assigned to 79 haplogroups.Haplogroup D was the preponderant top-level haplogroup in Xibe followed by F,B,M,A,N,G,C,Z,Y,HV and J.Random match probability(RMP)and haplotype diversity(HD)of the whole mitogenome was calculated as 0.0097 and 1.0000,respectively.Compared with HVS-I only,RMP decreased 33.56%,while the number of haplotypes and HD increased 15.73%and 0.49%,respectively.Principal component analysis(PCA)showed that Xibe was clustered to East and Southeast Asian.As a whole,this MPS strategy is suitable for the whole mitogenome sequencing especially for degraded samples and can facilitate generating mitogenome data to support the routine application in forensic sciences.EMP00726 is the first whole mitogenome dataset from Xibe contributed to the EMPOP. | Yang Xin Rulin Jia Suhua Zhang Fei Guo | 2022 | Forensic Sciences Research2022,7,2: | 0 |
| 6 | Texture Evolution in Heavily Cold-Rolled FeCo-2V Alloy during Annealing显示文摘The recrystallization texture evolution in heavily cold-rolled (93%) FeCo-2V alloy with annealing temperature and time was investigated by X-ray diffraction and electron backscatter diffraction. It was found that the orientation density of α-fiber texture component fluctuates with increasing annealing temperature and time. The transmission electron microscopy images show that abundant precipitates appear inside the recrystallized grains and around the grain boundaries. The amount and size of the precipitates also vary with annealing temperature and time. The enhancement of the α-fiber coincides well with the increase of number density of fine precipitates, indicating that the fine precipitates facilitate the development of α-fiber. | 7 | Temporal and Spatial Distribution of SARS-CoV-2 Aerosols in a Large-Scale Fangcang Shelter Hospital in Shanghai,China显示文摘The coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)pandemic caused by frequently mutating severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2)has had a worldwide impact.However,detailed data on the potential aerosol transmission of SARS-CoV-2 in real-world and controlled laboratory settings remain sparse.During the COVID-19 pandemic in Shanghai,China in 2022,samples were collected in a Fangcang shelter hospital,a large-scale temporary hospital rapidly built by converting the existing National Exhibition and Convention Center(Shanghai)into a health care facility.Aerosol samples at different sites and intervals around patients and in public areas,surface samples,and pharyngeal swab samples from corresponding patients were included.Samples were tested for SARS-CoV-2 using real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction(RT-qPCR)assays,followed by sequencing if the cycle threshold(Ct)value was<30.The positivity rate for SARS-CoV-2 in aerosol samples was high in contaminated zones(37.5%,104/277),especially around the bed(41.2%,68/165)and near ventilation inlets(45.2%,14/31).The prevalence of SARS-CoV-2 around the bed,public areas,and air inlets of exhaust vents fluctuated and was closely related to the positivity rate among patients at corresponding sampling sites.Some surface samples of different personal protective equipment from medical staff had high positivity rates.Sixty sequences of joined ORF1ab and spike genes obtained from sixty samples represented two main clusters of Omicron SARS-CoV-2.There was consistency in virus sequences from the same patient and their environment,and the detected virus sequences matched those of virus strains in circulation during the collection periods,which indicated a high likelihood of cross-contamination in the Fangcang shelter hospital.In summary,the results provide a quantitative and real landscape of the aerosol transmission of SARS-CoV-2 and a patient-centered view of contamination in large and enclosed spaces and offer a useful guide for taking targeted measures to avoid nosocomial infections during the management of SARS-CoV-2 or other respiratory virus diseases in a Fangcang shelter hospital. | Jiafu Jiang Zhe Yin Jing Li Leili Jia Rulin He Wenhui Yang Jihu Yang Hang Fan Sen Zhang Yunfei Wang Zengming Zhao Haoran Peng Lizhong Li Yi Yang Shi-Yong Fan Rong Xiang Jianshu Guo Jinjin Wang Juanning Wei Fengling Zhou Ding Liu Ping Zhao Yujun Cui Yunxi Liu Dongsheng Zhou Gang Dong | 2023 | Engineering2023,,9: | 0 |
