1Effects of flavonoids from Allium mongolicum Regel on growth performance and growth-related hormones in meat sheep显示文摘This study was conducted to investigate the effects of different doses of flavonoids from Allium mongolicum Regel on the production performance and neuroendocrine hormones in meat sheep and to determine the optimum dosage of Allium mongolicum Regel flavonoids to add to the basal diet of dry lotfeeding meat sheep. Sixty meat sheep(initial body weight = 39.9 ± 3.2 kg; 6-month-old) were randomly assigned to 4 groups(15 sheep per group). The sheep in the control group were fed a basal diet, and the 3 experimental groups were fed the basal diet supplemented with flavonoids at 11.22 and 33 mg/kg. Blood samples were collected via the jugular vein at d 0.15, 30, 45, and 60 to determine the neuroendocrine hormone levels. The fasting weight of the sheep was measured during the experimental period, and feed offered and refusals were recorded daily. The basal diet supplemented with flavonoids from 11 to 33 mg/kg significantly increased the daily weight gain and average daily feed intake(P<0.05) and significantly decreased the feed conversion ratio(P<0.05), but there were no differences among the supplementation groups(P>0.05). Starting on d 30, the growth hormone(GH) and insulin-like growth factor-1(IGF-1)levels in the sera of the sheep in the supplementation groups increased significantly(P<0.05), and the increases occurred in a time-dependent manner. Compared with control group, after d 30, the serum corticosterone(CORT) levels were reduced in the sheep that consumed the basal diet supplemented with22 mg/kg flavonoids(P<0.05), but among the other experimental groups, there was a non-significant effect(P>0.05). The serum adrenocorticotropic hormone(ACTH) levels were increased by the supplementation of flavonoids, but compared with the control group, the effect was not significant. The basal diet supplemented with flavonoids at levels from 11 to 33 mg/kg had a significant effect on the production performance and neuroendocrine hormone levels of meat sheep, and the effect occurred in a time-dependent manner. 2Effects of climate change on phenology and primary productivity in the desert steppe of Inner Mongolia显示文摘Variations in temperature and precipitation affect local ecosystems. Considerable spatial and temporal heterogeneity exists in arid ecosystems such as desert steppes. In this study, we analyzed the spatiotemporal dynamics of climate and vegetation phenology in the desert steppe of Inner Mongolia, China using meteorological data(1961–2010) from 11 stations and phenology data(2004–2012) from 6 ecological observation stations. We also estimated the gross primary production for the period of 1982–2009 and found that the annual mean temperature increased at a rate of 0.47oC/decade during 1961–2010, with the last 10 years being consistently warmer than the 50 years as an average. The most significant warming occurred in winters. Annual precipitation slightly decreased during the 50-year period, with summer precipitation experiencing the highest drop in the last 10 years, and spring precipitation, a rise. Spatially, annual precipitation increased significantly in the northeastern and eastern central areas next to the typical steppe. From 2004 to 2012, vegetation green-up and senescence date advanced in the study area, shortening the growing season. Consequently, the primary productivity of the desert steppe decreased along the precipitation gradient from southeast to northwest. Temporally, productivity increased during the period of 1982–1999 and significantly decreased after 2000. Overall, the last decade witnessed the most dramatic climatic changes that were likely to negatively affect the desert steppe ecosystem. 3Dynamic thermal performance and energy-saving potential analysis of a modular pipe-embedded building envelope integrated with thermal diffusive materials显示文摘In the context of racing to carbon neutrality,the pipe-embedded building system makes the opaque envelopes gradually regarded as the multi-functional element,which also provides an opportunity for thermal insulation solutions to transform from high to zero-carbon attributes.Based on the re-examination of the heat transfer process of conventional pipe-embedded radiant(CPR)walls,the modular pipe-embedded radiant(MPR)wall integrated with thermal diffusive materials is proposed to enhance the heat transfer capacity of CPR walls in the direction parallel to the wall surface,thereby forming a more stable and continuous invisible thermal barrier layer inside the opaque envelopes.A comprehensive thermal and energy-saving analysis study regarding the influence mechanism of several key factors of MPR walls,e.g.,the inclination angle of the filler cavity(θ-value),geometry size of the filler cavity(a:b-value)and thermal conductivity of the filler(λf-value),is conducted based on a validated numerical model.Results show that the dynamic thermal behaviors of MPR walls can be significantly improved due to that the radial thermal resistance in the filler cavity of MPR walls can be reduced by 50%,while the maximum extra exterior surface heat loss caused by the optimization measures is only 2.1%.Besides,a better technical effect can be achieved by setting the major axis of the filler cavity towards the room side,where the interior surface heat load/total injected heat first decreases/increases and then increases/decreases with the increase of theθ-value.In particular,the MPR wall withθL=60°can obtain the best performance when other conditions remain the same.Moreover,the performance indicators of MPR walls can be further improved with the increase of the cavity size(a:b-value),while showing a trend of rapid improvement in theλf-value range of 2–5λC and slow improvement increase in theλf-value range of 5–12λC.In addition,the improvement effect brought by optimizing theθ-value is more obvious as the a:b-value orλf-value increases.Yang Yang Sarula Chen 2023Building Simulation2023,16,12:1
4Uncertainty and parameter ranking analysis on summer thermal characteristics of the hydronic thermal barrier for low-energy buildings显示文摘The hydronic thermal barrier(HTB)makes the building envelope gradually regarded as a multifunctional element,which is an opportunity to transform thermal insulation solutions from high to zero-carbon attributes.However,inappropriate design,construction,and operation control may lead to issues like low efficiency and high investment,and even the opposite technical effects.In this paper,a comprehensive uncertainty and variable ranking analysis is numerically conducted to explore the influence mechanism of twelve risk variables on three types and five thermal performance indexes under summer conditions.The uncertainty analysis results showed that the correct application of HTB could significantly reduce the heat gain that needs to be handled by the traditional air-conditioning system and even have the technical effect of auxiliary cooling if the variables are appropriately selected.The comprehensive influences of water temperature,room temperature,charging duration,and thermal conductivity of the HTB layer were in the first 1/3 range.Among them,the first two variables were identified as the two most influential variables,and they had a significant mutual restriction relationship in all other four indexes except for the exterior surface cold loss.The recommended charging duration was not less than eight hours in practical application,and the HTB layer with a higher thermal conductivity value but less than 3.3 W/(m·℃)was suggested.Besides,the climate zone was no longer the most influential variable affecting the mean radiant temperature of the interior surface due to the combined effects of HTB and static thermal insulation measures.In addition,pipe spacing should preferably be selected between 100 and 250 mm to help form a continuous thermal buffer zone inside the building envelope.Sarula Chen Yang Yang Tianxin Chang 2023Building Simulation2023,16,1:1
5The Relationship Between Plant Community Characteristics and Soil Organic Matter Content of Sedentary Grazing Pastures in a Typical Steppe显示文摘In order to discuss the relationship between the characteristics of plant communities and the content of topsoil organic matter under the condition of two-season sedentary grazing, authors of this paper selected a Stipa krylovii steppe for research and studied the plant community characteristics and the topsoil organic matter content. The results showed that in the sedentary grazing area, the perennial plant species decreased, the annual plant species increased, and the topsoil organic matter content decreased. There were a negative correlation between plant biomass and topsoil organic matter content, and a positive correlation between total coverage and topsoil organic matter content. 11Processing Technology of Mongolian Artemisia frigida Willd. and Pharmacological Study on Processed Products显示文摘[Objectives] To optimize the processing technology of Mongolian Artemisia frigida Willd. and observe the safety and effectiveness of processed products. [Methods] The orthogonal test was conducted with the content of chlorogenic acid( CGA) in processed products and quercetin as the main indicator and reference factors. The impact of frying temperature and time and medicinal material granularity were examined to determine the optimal process. The safety and effectiveness were evaluated through adopting acute toxicity test in mice,and the bleeding time was determined by tail docking experiments,the blood coagulation time was determined with orbital venous plexus,the total number of platelets was counted for the whole blood. [Results]When the product was flipped and fried at the temperature of 270 ℃ for 20 min,the best effect was achieved. From the variance analysis,it proved that the frying temperature and the time and granularity had no significant effect on the content of the two components monitored. After processing,Artemisia frigida Willd.,it can shorten the bleeding time of mice and significantly increase the platelet number. [Conclusions]Appropriate frying can improve the safety and hemostatic effect. 12Clinical Observation of Warm Needling Acupuncture of Mongolian Medicine in the Treatment of Lumbar Disc Herniation显示文摘[Objectives]To observe the clinical efficacy of warm needling acupuncture of Mongolian medicine in the treatment of lumbar disc herniation(LDH).[Methods]120 patients with lumbar disc herniation hospitalized in Inner Mongolia International Mongolian Hospital from June 2019 to June 2022 were randomly divided into observation group(n=60)and control group(n=60).The observation group was treated with warm needling acupuncture of Mongolian medicine,and the control group was treated with common acupuncture of Mongolian medicine,with two weeks as a course of treatment.The pain visual analogue scale(VAS)and Japanese orthopaedic association(JOA)score were observed before and after treatment,and the clinical efficacy was evaluated by the changes of clinical symptoms and signs of Mongolian medicine.[Results]The cure rate of the observation group was 71.7%,which was better than that of the control group(53.3%).The difference in the cure rate between the two groups was statistically significant,X 2=4.302,P=0.038.The total markedly effective rate(cured+markedly effective)of the observation group was 90.0%,while that of the control group was 83.3%.There was no significant difference in the total markedly effective rate between the two groups,X 2=1.154,P=0.283.The total effective rate(cured+markedly effective+effective)of the observation group was 100%,while that of the control group was 95.0%.There was no significant difference in the total effective rate between the two groups,and the continuous corrected chi-square value was 1.368 and 0.242.After treatment,the degree of low back pain,lower limb pain and dyskinesia were significantly improved in the two groups,the observation group was better than the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).[Conclusions]The warm needling acupuncture of Mongolian medicine was effective in the treatment of lumbar disc herniation,which is worth popularizing.Hairihan Balama Sarula WANG Shuangmei 2023Medicinal Plant2023,14,1:0
