| 3 | Carbonyl emissions from heavy-duty diesel vehicle exhaust in China and the contribution to ozone formation potential显示文摘Fifteen heavy-duty diesel vehicles were tested on chassis dynamometer by using typical heavy duty driving cycle and fuel economy cycle. The air from the exhaust was sampled by 2,4-dinitrophenyhydrazine cartridge and 23 carbonyl compounds were analyzed by high performance liquid chromatography. The average emission factor of carbonyls was 97.2 mg/km, higher than that of light-duty diesel vehicles and gasoline-powered vehicles. Formaldehyde, acetaldehyde, acetone and propionaldehyde were the species with the highest emission factors. Main influencing factors for carbonyl emissions were vehicle type, average speed and regulated emission standard, and the impact of vehicle loading was not evident in this study. National emission of carbonyls from diesel vehicles exhaust was calculated for China, 2011, based on both vehicle miles traveled and fuel consumption. Carbonyl emission of diesel vehicle was estimated to be 45.8 Gg, and was comparable to gasolinepowered vehicles(58.4 Gg). The emissions of formaldehyde, acetaldehyde and acetone were 12.6, 6.9, 3.8 Gg, respectively. | 5 | Comprehensive metabolomics expands precision medicine for triple-negative breast cancer显示文摘Metabolic reprogramming is a hallmark of cancer.However,systematic characterizations of metabolites in triple-negative breast cancer(TNBC)are still lacking.Our study profiled the polar metabolome and lipidome in 330 TNBC samples and 149 paired normal breast tissues to construct a large metabolomic atlas of TNBC.Combining with previously established transcriptomic and genomic data of the same cohort,we conducted a comprehensive analysis linking TNBC metabolome to genomics.Our study classified TNBCs into three distinct metabolomic subgroups:C1,characterized by the enrichment of ceramides and fatty acids;C2,featured with the upregulation of metabolites related to oxidation reaction and glycosyl transfer;and C3,having the lowest level of metabolic dysregulation.Based on this newly developed metabolomic dataset,we refined previous TNBC transcriptomic subtypes and identified some crucial subtype-specific metabolites as potential therapeutic targets.The transcriptomic luminal androgen receptor(LAR)subtype overlapped with metabolomic C1 subtype.Experiments on patient-derived organoid and xenograft models indicate that targeting sphingosine-1-phosphate(S1P),an intermediate of the ceramide pathway,is a promising therapy for LAR tumors.Moreover,the transcriptomic basal-like immune-suppressed(BLIS)subtype contained two prognostic metabolomic subgroups(C2 and C3),which could be distinguished through machine-learning methods.We show that N-acetyl-aspartyl-glutamate is a crucial tumor-promoting metabolite and potential therapeutic target for high-risk BLIS tumors.Together,our study reveals the clinical significance of TNBC metabolomics,which can not only optimize the transcriptomic subtyping system,but also suggest novel therapeutic targets.This metabolomic dataset can serve as a useful public resource to promote precision treatment of TNBC. | Yi Xiao Ding Ma Yun-Song Yang Fan Yang Jia-Han Ding Yue Gong Lin Jiang Li-Ping Ge Song-Yang Wu Qiang Yu Qing Zhang François Bertucci Qiuzhuang Sun Xin Hu Da-Qiang Li Zhi-Ming Shao Yi-Zhou Jiang | 2022 | Cell Research2022,32,5: | 18 |

| 7 | Function and regulation of cholecystokinin-octapeptide, β-endorphin and gastrin in anorexic infantile rats treated with ErBao Granules显示文摘AIM To study the role of cholecystokinin octapeptide ( CCK-8), β-endorphin ( β-EP), and gastrin in an anorexic infantile rat model and no subsequent regulation of nose peptides by the Yunpi complex prescription ErBao Granule.METHODS We fed infantile rats with special prepared forage. A liquid extract of ErBao Granule was administered to the rats daily for 3weeks, CCK-8, β-EP, and gastrin concentrations in hypothalamus, gastric antrum, and plasma of the rats were measured by radioimmunoassay,and were compared with controls.RESULTS Treatment of rats with ErBao Granule inhibited CCK-8 secretion and increased β-EP and gastrin secretion. CCK-8 concentration in hypothalamus and plasma of model control group increased significantly and correlated negatively with food intake of models.respectively. β-EP concentration in gastric antrum and plasma of model control group decreased significantly and showed a positive correlation with food intake of models,respectively. Hypothalamus concentration of β-EP was similar in models and controls. Gastrin concentration in gastric antrum of models was lower than in the blank control group, and correlated positively to food intake of models.Finally, CCK-8 concentrations in plasma of rats showed a positive correlation with plasma β-EP(r- 0.68, P<0.05).CONCLUSION The increased plasma and hypothalamus concentration of CCK-8,decreased gastric antrum and plasma level of β-EP. and decreased gastric antrum concentration of gastrin are associated significantly with the anorexia of infantile anorexic rat models produced by special forage. | 9 | Multi-scale traffic vehicle detection based on faster ReCNN with NAS optimization and feature enrichment显示文摘It well known that vehicle detection is an important component of the field of object detection.However,the environment of vehicle detection is particularly sophisticated in practical processes.It is comparatively difficult to detect vehicles of various scales in traffic scene images,because the vehicles partially obscured by green belts,roadblocks or other vehicles,as well as influence of some low illumination weather.In this paper,we present a model based on Faster ReCNN with NAS optimization and feature enrichment to realize the effective detection of multi-scale vehicle targets in traffic scenes.First,we proposed a Retinex-based image adaptive correction algorithm(RIAC)to enhance the traffic images in the dataset to reduce the influence of shadow and illumination,and improve the image quality.Second,in order to improve the feature expression of the backbone network,we conducted Neural Architecture Search(NAS)on the backbone network used for feature extraction of Faster ReCNN to generate the optimal cross-layer connection to extract multi-layer features more effectively.Third,we used the object Feature Enrichment that combines the multi-layer feature information and the context information of the last layer after cross-layer connection to enrich the information of vehicle targets,and improve the robustness of the model for challenging targets such as small scale and severe occlusion.In the implementation of the model,K-means clustering algorithm was used to select the suitable anchor size for our dataset to improve the convergence speed of the model.Our model has been trained and tested on the UN-DETRAC dataset,and the obtained results indicate that our method has art-of-state detection performance. | Ji-qing Luo Hu-sheng Fang Fa-ming Shao Yue Zhong Xia Hua | 2021 | Defence Technology(防务技术)2021,17,4: | 10 |

| 13 | High-Q resonances governed by the quasi-bound states in the continuum in all-dielectric metasurfaces显示文摘The realization of high-Q resonances in a silicon metasurface with various broken-symmetry blocks is reported. Theoretical analysis reveals that the sharp resonances in the metasurfaces originate from symmetry-protected bound in the continuum(BIC) and the magnetic dipole dominates these peculiar states. A smaller size of the defect in the broken-symmetry block gives rise to the resonance with a larger Q factor. Importantly, this relationship can be tuned by changing the structural parameter, resulting from the modulation of the topological configuration of BICs. Consequently, a Q factor of more than 3,000 can be easily achieved by optimizing dimensions of the nanostructure. At this sharp resonance, the intensity of the third harmonic generation signal in the patterned structure can be 368 times larger than that of the flat silicon film. Endoplasmic reticulum(ER) stress-mediated apoptotic and autophagic cell death is implicated in a wide range of diseases, including cerebral ischemia and neurodegenerative diseases. Thapsigargin was used to induce PC12 cell death, and Activin A was used for intervention. Our results showed that Activin A significantly inhibited morphological changes in thapsigargin-induced apoptotic cells, and the expression of apoptosis-associated proteins [cleaved-caspase-12, C/EBP homologous protein(CHOP) and cleaved-caspase-3] and biomarkers of autophagy(Beclin-1 and light chain 3), and downregulated the expression of thapsigargin-induced ER stress-associated proteins [inositol requiring enzyme-1(IRE1), tumor necrosis factor receptor-associated factor 2(TRAF2), apoptosis signal-regulating kinase 1(ASK1), c-Jun N-terminal kinase(JNK) and p38]. The inhibition of thapsigargin-induced cell death was concentration-dependent. | 17 | Two selenium tolerant Lysinibacillus sp. strains are capable of reducing selenite to elemental Se efficiently under aerobic conditions显示文摘Microbes play important roles in the transport and transformation of selenium(Se) in the environment, thereby influencing plant resistance to Se and Se accumulation in plant. The objectives are to characterize the bacteria with high Se tolerance and reduction capacity and explore the significance of microbial origins on their Se tolerance, reduction rate and efficiency. Two bacterial strains were isolated from a naturally occurred Se-rich soil at tea orchard in southern Anhui Province, China. The reduction kinetics of selenite was investigated and the reducing product was characterized using scanning electron microscopy and transmission electron microscopy-energy dispersive spectroscopy. The bacteria were identified as Lysinibacillus xylanilyticus and Lysinibacillus macrolides,respectively, using morphological, physiological and molecular methods. The results showed that the minimal inhibitory concentrations(MICs) of selenite for L. xylanilyticus and L. macrolides were 120 and 220 mmol/L, respectively, while MICs of selenate for L.xylanilyticus and L. macrolides were 800 and 700 mmol/L, respectively. Both strains aerobically reduced selenite with an initial concentration of 1.0 mmol/L to elemental Se nanoparticles(SeNPs) completely within 36 hr. Biogenic SeNPs were observed both inside and outside the cells suggesting either an intra-or extracellular reduction process. Our study implied that the microbes from Se-rich environments were more tolerant to Se and generally quicker and more efficient than those from Se-free habitats in the reduction of Se oxyanions. Total arsenic and arsenic species were analyzed in a total of 892 subsamples using inductively coupled plasma-mass spectrometry(ICP-MS) and high performance liquid chromatography(HPLC) coupled ICP-MS, respectively. National Ast means were 255 μg/kg of unpolished rice and 143 μg/kg of polished rice. Asi was found to be the predominant species and mean levels were 209 μg/kg of unpolished rice and 108 μg/kg of polished rice, respectively. | 19 | Sequence Variation in the Gp120 region of SHIV-CN97001 during in vivo Passage显示文摘SHIV-CN97001 played an important role in assessing the immune effect and strategy of the AIDS vaccine which included genes of the predominant prevalent HIV-1 strain in China. In this study, SHIV-CN97001 was in vivo passaged serially to construct pathogenic SHIV-CN97001/rhesus macaques model. To identify variation in the gp120 region of SHIV-CN97001 during passage, the fragments of gp120 gene were amplified by RT-PCR from the plasma of SHIV-CN97001 infected animals at the peak viral load time point and the gene distances (divergence, diversity) were calculated using DISTANCE. The analysis revealed that the genetic distances of SHIV-CN97001 in the third passage animals were the highest during in vivo passage. It had a relationship between viral divergence from the founder strain and viral replication ability. The nucleic acid sequence of the V3 region was highly conservative. All of the SHIV-CN97001 strains had V3 loop central motif (GPGQ) and were predicted to be using CCR5 co-receptor on the basis of the critical amino acids within V3 loop. These results show that there was no significant increase in the genetic distance during serial passage, and SHIV-CN97001 gp120 gene evolved toward ancestral states upon transmission to a new host. | 20 | Ganoderic acid alleviates chemotherapy-induced fatigue in mice bearing colon tumor显示文摘Chemotherapy-related fatigue(CRF)is increasingly being recognized as one of the severe symptoms in patients undergoing chemotherapy,which not only largely reduces the quality of life in patients,but also diminishes their physical and social function.At present,there is no effective drug for preventing and treating CRF.Ganoderic acid(GA),isolated from traditional Chinese medicine Ganoderma lucidum,has shown a variety of pharmacological activities such as anti-tumor,anti-inflammation,immunoregulation,etc.In this study,we investigated whether GA possessed anti-fatigue activity against CRF.CT26 tumor-bearing mice were treated with 5-fluorouracil(5-FU,30 mg/kg)and GA(50 mg/kg)alone or in combination for 18 days.Peripheral and central fatigue-related behaviors,energy metabolism and inflammatory factors were assessed.We demonstrated that co-administration of GA ameliorated 5-FU-induced peripheral muscle fatigue-like behavior via improving muscle quality and mitochondria function,increasing glycogen content and ATP production,reducing lactic acid content and LDH activity,and inhibiting p-AMPK,IL-6 and TNF-αexpression in skeletal muscle.Co-administration of GA also retarded the 5-FU-induced central fatigue-like behavior accompanied by down-regulating the expression of IL-6,iNOS and COX2 in the hippocampus through inhibiting TLR4/Myd88/NF-κB pathway.These results suggest that GA could attenuate 5-FU-induced peripheral and central fatigue in tumor-bearing mice,which provides evidence for GA as a potential drug for treatment of CRF in clinic. | Abudumijiti Abulizi Ling Hu Ang Ma Fang-yu Shao Hui-ze Zhu Si-mei Lin Guang-ying Shao Yue Xu Jian-hua Ran Jing Li Hong Zhou Dong-mei Lin Lian-fu Wang Min Li Bao-xue Yang | 2021 | Acta Pharmacologica Sinica2021,42,10: | 5 |
