By employing the generalized weak quasi-Newton equations, we derive several schemes to construct variants of scalar matrices as the Hessian approximation used in the trust region subproblem. Under some reasonable conditions, global convergence of the proposed algorithm is established in the trust region framework. | 2 | Defensive deception framework against reconnaissance attacks in the cloud with deep reinforcement learning显示文摘Implementing defensive deception in the cloud is promising to proactively counter reconnaissance attack. This technique presents decoys to camouflage cloud assets and distracts attack resource. However,the major challenge is to develop an effective deception strategy to orchestrate digital decoys. To address this issue, we propose a deep reinforcement learning(DRL)-based defensive deception framework. First,we formulate a utility function, which mathematically models underlying threats associated with common vulnerabilities among virtual machines in the cloud. Then, we customize training interfaces and the neural networks for a DRL agent. The reward function reflects the effectiveness of asset concealment and the waste of attack resources, referring to a comprehensive defense goal. Finally, the well-trained DRL agent generates the optimal defense strategy. It specifies a more granular deception strategy than existing proposals. Simulation results show that the proposed framework leads to a 7.87% average advantage in realizing the comprehensive defense goal. Moreover, it can stably improve the concealment degree of cloud assets up to 20.58%, and increase the attack cost up to 40.40%. | 7 | Effects of arginine replacement with L-citrulline on the arginine/nitric oxide metabolism in chickens:An animal model without urea cycle显示文摘Background This study examined the efficacy of L-citrulline supplementation on the arginine/nitric oxide metabolism,and intestinal functions of broilers during arginine deficiency.A total of 288 day-old Arbor Acre broilers were randomly assigned to either an arginine deficient basal diet(NC diet),NC diet+0.50%L-arginine(PC diet),or NC diet+0.50%L-citrulline(NCL diet).Production performance was recorded,and at 21 days old,chickens were euthanized for tissue collection.Results The dietary treatments did not affect the growth performance of broilers(P>0.05),although NC diet increased the plasma alanine aminotransferase,urate,and several amino acids,except arginine(P<0.05).In contrast,NCL diet elevated the arginine and ornithine concentration higher than NC diet,and it increased the plasma citrulline greater than the PC diet(P<0.05).The nitric oxide concentration in the kidney and liver tissues,along with the plasma and liver e NOS activities were promoted by NCL diet higher than PC diet(P<0.05).In the liver,the activities of arginase 1,ASS,and ASL,as well as,the gene expression of i NOS and OTC were induced by PC diet greater than NC diet(P<0.05).In the kidney,the arginase 1,ASS and ASL enzymes were also increased by PC diet significantly higher than the NC and NCL diets.Comparatively,the kidney had higher abundance of n NOS,ASS,ARG2,and OTC genes than the liver tissue(P<0.05).In addition,NCL diet upregulated(P<0.05)the m RNA expression of intestinal nutrient transporters(EAAT3 and PEPT1),tight junction proteins(Claudin 1 and Occludin),and intestinal mucosal defense(MUC2 and p Ig R).The intestinal morphology revealed that both PC and NCL diets improved(P<0.05)the ileal VH/CD ratio and the jejunal VH and VH/CD ratio compared to the NC fed broilers.Conclusion This study revealed that NCL diet supported arginine metabolism,nitric oxide synthesis,and promoted the intestinal function of broilers.Thus,L-citrulline may serve as a partial arginine replacement in broiler’s diet without detrimental impacts on the performance,arginine metabolism and gut health of chickens. | Victoria Anthony Uyanga Lijing Sun Yu Liu Meiming Zhang Jingpeng Zhao Xiaojuan Wang Hongchao Jiao Okanlawon M.Onagbesan Hai Lin | 2023 | Journal of Animal Science and Biotechnology2023,14,3: | 1 |

| 12 | Phylogeny of SARS-CoV as inferred from complete genome comparison显示文摘SARS-CoV, as the pathogeny of severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS), is a mystery that the origin of the virus is still unknown even a few isolates of the virus were completely sequenced. To explore the genesis of SARS-CoV, the FDOD method previously developed by us was applied to comparing complete genomes from 12 SARS-CoV isolates to those from 12 previously identified coronaviruses and an unrooted phylogenetic tree was constructed. Our results show that all SARS-CoV isolates were clustered into a clique and previously identified coronaviruses formed the other clique. Meanwhile, the three groups of coronaviruses depart from each other clearly in our tree that is consistent with the results of prevenient papers. Differently, from the topology of the phylogenetic tree we found that SARS-CoV is more close to group 1 within genus coronavirus. | 16 | Distribution Properties of Internal Air Voids in Ultrathin Asphalt Friction Course显示文摘The distribution characteristics of air voids in ultrathin asphalt friction course(UAFC) samples with different gradations and compaction methods were statistically analyzed using X-ray computed tomography(CT) and image analysis techniques. Based on the results, compared with the AC-5 sample, the OGFC-5mixture has a higher air void ratio, a larger air void size and a greater number of air voids, with the distribution of internal air voids being more uniform and their shapes being more rounded. The two-parameter Weibull function was applied to fit the gradation of air voids. The fitting results is good, and the function parameters are sensitive to changes in both mineral gradation and compaction method. Moreover, two homogeneity indices were proposed to evaluate the compaction uniformity of UAFC samples. Compared with the Marshall method,the SGC method is more conducive to improve the compaction uniformity of UAFC samples. The compaction method significantly influences the air void distribution characteristics and compaction uniformity of AC-5sample, but has a less significant impact on OGFC-5 sample. | 17 | Land Use/Cover Change and Its Policy Implications in Typical Agriculture-forest Ecotone of Central Jilin Province,China显示文摘During the 21st century,policies toward agriculture,forestry,and urbanization have emerged to ensure food security,ecological restoration,and human well-being by managing land in Northeast China.However,the integrated effects and relationships of various policies are still not well understood.This study observed the land use land cover changes in Central Jilin from 2000 to 2019 and,by considering policy involvement,aimed to understand the effects and trade-offs of policies.Results showed that the cropland,including dryland and rice paddy,and the forest,including coniferous forest and deciduous forest,are dominant land types in Central Jilin.During 2000–2019,the land changed diversely,of which the main changes were the expanded dryland(+0.43 million ha),the increased deciduous forest(+22 million ha),the decreased coniferous forest(–0.08 million ha),and the expanded urban settlement(+0.04 million ha).With these changes,despite the unit grain yield showing a rising trend,the yield contribution of Central Jilin to the national total decreased.The poor cultivating structure made for the cropland expansion and reduced the implementation space of environmental restoration projects such as the Grain to Green.Thus,in Central Jilin that transits from the agri-food production zone to the eco-regulation zone,environmental projects coexisted in a trade-off manner with agricultural policies that aim to liberate agricultural productivity.In the key urban agglomerations of Central Jilin,the increase in the proportion of green space improved the thermal environment and carbon balance.The gross domestic product of the large city and its local proportion also rose.These improvements benefited from the promotion of development policies and urbanization policies at key time points.In the future,it is necessary to coordinate agricultural policies and environmental projects and promote the progress of small-and medium-sized cities to ensure the equality of regional development.This study has implications for making decisions to revitalize Northeast China and researchers who inform decisions. | DONG Yulin REN Zhibin FU Yao YANG Ran SUN Hongchao HE Xingyuan | 2021 | Chinese Geographical Science2021,31,2: | 0 |

In Exp. 1, 48 chicks at 1 day old were divided into 4 groups of 12 birds and subjected to 4treatments: basal diet without supplementation or supplemented with 1% L-Arg, and water supplementedwith or without L-nitro-arginine methyl ester (L-NAME, 18.5 mM). In Exp. 2, 48 chicks weredivided into 4 groups of 12 birds fed with the basal diet and subjected to the following treatments: tapwater (control), tap water supplemented with L-NAME (18.5 mM), or molsidomine (MS, 0.1 mM), or18.5 mM L-NAME t 0.1 mM MS (NAMS). The regulatory effect of L-Arg/NO was further investigatedin vitro with myoblasts obtained from chicken embryo pectoralis major (PM) and biceps femoris (BF).In vivo, dietary L-Arg supplementation increased breast (t14.94%, P < 0.05) and thigh muscle mass(t23.40%, P < 0.05);whereas, MS treatment had no detectable influence. However, L-NAME treatmentblocked the beneficial influence of L-Arg on muscle development. L-Arg decreased (P < 0.05) proteinsynthesis rate, phosphorylated mTOR and ribosomal protein S6 kinase beta-1 (p70S6K) levels in breastmuscle, which was recovered by L-NAME treatment. In vitro, L-Arg or sodium nitroprusside (SNP)reduced protein synthesis rate, suppressed phosphorylated mTOR/p70S6K and decreased atrogin-1 andmuscle RING finger 1 (MuRF1) in myoblasts from PM muscle (P < 0.05). L-NAME abolished the inhibitoryeffect of L-Arg on protein synthesis and the mTOR/p70S6K pathway. However, myoblasts from BF muscleshowed the weak influence. Moreover, blocking the mTOR/p70S6K pathway with rapamycin suppressedprotein synthesis of the 2 types of myoblasts;whereas, the protein expression of atrogin-1 and MuRF1levels were restricted only in myoblasts from PM muscle. In conclusion, L-Arg/NO/mTOR/p70S6Kpathway enhances protein accumulation and muscle development in fast-twitch glycolytic muscle inchickens.
