Low-temperature activation of methane over rare earth metals promoted Zn/HZSM-5 zeolite catalysts in the presence of ethylene显示文摘At low temperature of 723 K, methane can be easily activated in the presence of ethylene in the feed, and converted to higher hydrocarbons (C2–C4) and aromatics (C6–C10), through its reaction over rare metals modified Zn/HZSM-5 zeolite catalysts without undesirable carbon oxides formation. Methane can get 37.3% conversion over the above catalysts under low temperature, and the catalysts show a longer lifetime than usual metal supported HZSM-5 zeolite catalysts without adding any rare earth metals. The effects of methane activation over various rare earth metal promoted Zn/HZSM-5 catalysts on the products and influences of several reaction conditions such as temperature, catalyst lifetime and molar ratio of CH4/C2H4 have been discussed. | Hengqiang Zhang Aiguo Kong Yongjie Ding Chengyong Dai Yongkui Shan | 2011 | Journal of Natural Gas Chemistry2011,20,3: | 4
(N,F)-codoped TiO_2 Nanocrystals as Visible Light-activated Photocatalyst显示文摘(N, F)-codoped anatase TiO2 nanocrystals with active visible light response were prepared by using a simple sol-gel approach. X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy measurements suggested that the substitutional N and F species replaced the lattice oxygen atoms in TiO2 nanocrystals. Such nanocrystals showed strong absorption from 400 to 550 nm, which was mainly induced by nitrogen doping. The phase transformation from anatase to rutile was hindered by fluorine doping at high calcination temperatures, which was verified by XRD patterns. The N2 adsorption-desorption isotherms revealed the absence of mesopores in these nanocrystals. The (N, F)-codoped TiO2 nanocrystals showed satisfying photocatalytic activity on the photo-degradation of methylene blue under visible light. | Yanling Meng Jiansong Chen Ying Wang Hanming Ding Yongkui Shan | 2009 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2009,25,1: | 3
Unadulterated carbon as robust multifunctional electrocatalyst for overall water splitting and oxygen transformation显示文摘Developing the highly efficient and durable non-precious metal electrocatalysts by taking advantage of inexpensive and abundant resources is of paramount importance for the widespread application of energy conversion and storage techniques such as fuel cells and metal-air batteries.Herein, the sponge-like unadulterated carbontube-graphene complexes(D/G-CTs-1,000)with multifarious intrinsic defect active sites are fabricated by boric acid-hydrothermal and pyrolysis treatments. The close contact or juncture between open nanotubes and few-layer graphene in D/G-CTs-1,000 constructs the hierarchical networks with plentifuchannels, the larger surface area and outstanding conductivity. As a result, the as-prepared D/G-CTs-1,000 electrocatalyst exhibits an excellent trifunctional electrocatalytic performance for oxygen reduction reaction(ORR),oxygen evolution reactior(OER)and hydrogen evolution reaction(HER).The primary Zn-air batteries and overall water splitting system using D/G-CTs-1,000 as the electrode materials delivers higher power density outperforming the advanced Pt/C-based batteries and the overall watersplitting performance comparable to those using the non-precious metal/carbon-based materials as electrode. This work provides a universal and efficient synthetic strategy to produce the unadulterated carbons with high activity and long-time durability as trifunctional electrocatalysts and promote the widespread applications of metal-free electrocatalysts in sustainable energy conversior technology. | Fantao Kong Yu Qiao Chaoqi Zhang Xiaohong Fan Aiguo Kong Yongkui Shan | 2020 | Nano Research2020,13,2: | 3

Direct growth of special-shape graphene on different templates by remote catalyzation of Cu nanoparticles显示文摘A novel method avoiding the complex transfer process is proposed to directly grow low-defect and few-layer graphene on different insulating substrates(SiO_2, Al_2O_3, etc.) by remote catalyzation of Cu nanoparticles(NPs) using ambient pressure chemical vapor deposition(APCVD). The insulating substrates with special structure are used as templates to grow wrapped graphene sheets with special shapes.Hollow graphene species are obtained by removing the substrates. The prime feature of the proposed method is using Cu NPs as catalyst rather than metal foils. The Cu NPs play an important role in the remote catalyzation during the nucleation of graphene. This method can improve the quality and relatively decrease the growth temperature of the graphene on the insulating substrates, which displays the great potential of APCVD direct growth of graphene on dielectric substrates for electronic and photovoltaic applications. | Shuangshuang Han Fan Yang Liyue Liu Mi Zhou Yongkui Shan Dezeng Li | 2017 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2017,33,8: | 1

Efficiency Enhancement of Cu(In,Ga)Se_2 Solar Cells by Applying SiO_2-PEG/PVP Antire flection Coatings显示文摘An effective approach was presented to enhance photoelectric conversion efficiency of Cu(In,Ga)Se2 (CIGS) solar cells by using modified SiO2 antireflection coatings(ARCs) to harvest more incident sunlight.Polyethylene glycol(PEG) and polyvinyl pyrrolidone(PVP) used as additives were introduced into silica sols to prepare SiO2-PEG and SiO2-PVP coatings in the sol-gel dip-coating process, respectively. The different effects of PEG and PVP additives on SiO2 coatings were analyzed and the antireflection performance of SiO2-PEG and SiO2-PVP coatings was investigated. The transmittance over 97% ranging from 450 nm to 700 nm with a maximum transmittance over 99.40% at about 550 nm was achieved for both SiO2-PEG2000A and SiO2-PVP0.5 coatings. The relative efficiencies of CIGS solar cells coated with SiO2-PEG2000A and SiO2-PVP0.5 ARCs were increased by 7.27% and 8.33%,respectively. The modified SiO2 ARCs possessed the advantages of the low manufacturing cost, good adhesion, superior antireflective performance and the feasible method for large area fabrication. | Dezeng Li Zhanqiang Liu Yaoming Wang Yongkui Shan Fuqiang Huang | 2015 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2015,31,2: | 0
Hybrid vesicles of pillar[5]arene/silica:Host-guest complexation and application in pH-triggered release显示文摘Integrating silica with organic nanoparticles can generate unique properties. Here pillar[5]arene/silica hybrid vesicles were constructed based on the amphiphilic and rigid properties of pillararenes,as well as the catalytic hydrolysis of tetraethoxysilane.Such vesicles exhibited the high strength of silica and unique molecular recognition of pillararenes, both of which could tune the pH-trigge red release behavior.Furthermore,a rhodamine B derivative with hexyl group(RhB-C6) was synthesized, which can form a complex with the pillar[5]arene.Based on the host-guest interaction and high strength of silica, the hybrid vesicles could load more RhB-C6 and the rhodamine B was released more slowly compared with the organic vesicles. | Chenghao Hou Lijing Liu Siyang Meng Yue Wu Meiran Xie Yongkui Shan Pingang He Pengfei Sun Xiaojuan Liao | 2021 | Chinese Chemical Letters2021,32,1: | 0
