1Mini-culotte stenting for bifurcation coronary disease显示文摘Coronary bifurcation lesions remain a challenging subset of lesions for percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) with use of drug-eluting stents.Side branch (SB)is the most problematic lesion with higher rates of instent restenosis leading to the need for revascularization.1The current consensus based on clinical studies have reported that two-stent strategies are required in only a small number of patients.Of currently used complex stenting techniques,culotte stenting is comparable with the others.2-4 Unfortunately,the culotte technique has some limitations,of which double layers of metal struts is reported to be related to the occurrence of stent thrombosis (ST).Stenting sequences of culotte stenting shares features with provisional T stenting,indicated by a jailed wire in a SB at risk of SB loss after stenting the main vessel (MV).Accordingly we reported our modified mini-culotte stenting technique in 2008,5 but we found that mini-culotte is not always correctly used in China.As a result,it is crucial to systematically describe the tips and pitfalls of mini-culotte techniques in details.Wen Shangyu Yu Hongying Lee Hui 2014Chinese Medical Journal2014,,5:2
2DEAP1 encodes a fasciclin-like arabinogalactan protein required for male fertility in rice显示文摘Arabinogalactan proteins(AGPs)are widely distributed in plant cells.Fasciclin-like AGPs(FLAs)belong to a subclass of AGPs that play important roles in plant growth and development.However,little is known about the biological functions of rice FLA.Herein,we report the identification of a male-sterile mutant of DEFECTIVE EXINE AND APERTURE PATTERNING1(DEAP1)in rice.The deap1 mutant anthers produced aberrant pollen grains with defective exine formation and a flattened aperture annulus and exhibited slightly delayed tapetum degradation.DEAP1 encodes a plasma membrane-associated member of groupⅢplant FLAs and is specifically and temporally expressed in reproductive cells and the tapetum layer during male development.Gene expression studies revealed reduced transcript accumulation of genes related to exine formation,aperture patterning,and tapetum development in deap1 mutants.Moreover,DEAP1 may interact with two rice D6 PROTEIN KINASE-LIKE3 s(OsD6PKL3s),homologs of a known Arabidopsis aperture protein,to affect rice pollen aperture development.Our findings suggested that DEAP1 is involved in male reproductive development and may affect exine formation and aperture patterning,thereby providing new insights into the molecular functions of plant FLAs in male fertility.Dan Zhou Ting Zou Kaixuan Zhang Pingping Xiong Fuxing Zhou Hao Chen Gongwen Li Kaiyou Zheng Yuhao Han Kun Peng Xu Zhang Shangyu Yang Qiming Deng Shiquan Wang Jun Zhu Yueyang Liang Changhui Sun Xiumei Yu Huainian Liu Lingxia Wang Ping Li Shuangcheng Li 2022Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2022,64,7:2
3Old nest material functions as an informative cue in making nest-site selection decisions in the European Kestrel(Falco tinnunculus)显示文摘Background:For secondary cavity-nesting bird species that do not add lining materials to nests,the presence of old nest material or organic remains that have accumulated within nest cavities from previous breeding events may be a cue of nest-site quality.These materials potentially contain information about past breeding success in con-and heterospecifics and may improve the thermal insulation of eggs during incubation.However,few studies have addressed whether the presence of old nest materials serves as a cue for cavity-nesting raptors when choosing specific nest sites.Methods:We conducted a 9-year nest box experiment to test whether old nest materials from con-and heterospecifics serve as informative cues to the European Kestrel(Falco tinnunculus)when making nest selection decisions,as this species uses nest boxes without adding nesting material.Results:The presence of old nest materials and entrance size best discriminated nest boxes occupied by European Kestrels from unoccupied boxes.Nest boxes containing conspecific organic remains,artificial dry leaf and branch material,and material left behind by Great Tits(Parus major)were reused at higher rates,especially those containing conspecific nest material,than nest boxes containing true or simulated nest materials from predators.In 2010,no single nest box was occupied by the same banded individual that occupied the box in the previous year(10 females and 2 males were banded in 2009).Conclusions:European Kestrels preferred nest boxes containing old nest material over empty boxes,which is consistent with previous findings that they exploit con-and heterospecific cues when deciding where to settle and breed,as old nest or organic material provides substrate for incubating females.Kestrels may be able to assess the predation risks associated with a specific nest site based on experience or the presence of prey remains.The repeated use of nest boxes across breeding seasons by kestrels cannot be entirely ascribed to philopatry.This study provides evidence that old nest materials are potentially used as informative cues when making nest-site selection decisions in European Kestrels.Mingju E Tuo Wang Shangyu Wang Ye Gong Jiangping Yu Lin Wang Wei Ou Haitao Wang 2019Avian Research2019,10,4:1
4Clinical antitumor application and pharmacological mechanisms of Dahuang Zhechong Pill显示文摘Cancer still has elevated morbidity and mortality,which undoubtedly impacts the life quality of affected individuals.Remarkable advances have been made in cancer therapy,although the toxicities of traditional therapies remain an obvious challenge.Dahuang Zhechong Pill(DHZCP),developed by Zhongjing Zhang in the Synopsis of the Golden Chamber,represents an effective anticancer traditional Chinese medicine(TCM).In this review,it was found that DHZCP is therapeutically utilized in liver,lung,gastric,pancreatic and other cancers in clinic.Pharmacological evidence showed that its anti-tumor mechanisms mainly involve induced cell cycle arrest,apoptosis and autophagy,as well as suppressed tumor cell proliferation,obstructed angiogenesis and metastasis,enhanced immunity,and reversal of multidrug resistance.The present review provides a solid basis for the clinical application of DHZCP and may promote the wide use of TCM in clinical antitumor application.Yingying Tian Beibei Ma Shangyue Yu Yilin Li Hailuan Pei Shiqiu Tian Xinyue Zhao Chuang Liu Zeping Zuo Zhibin Wang 2023Chinese Herbal Medicines2023,15,2:0
5Night warming increases wheat yield by improving pre-anthesis plant growth and post-anthesis grain starch biosynthesis显示文摘Global climate change is characterized by asymmetric warming,i.e.,greater temperature increases in winter,spring,and nighttime than in summer,autumn,and daytime.Field experiments were conducted using four wheat cultivars,namely‘Yangmai 18’(YM18),‘Sumai 188’(SM188),‘Yannong 19’(YN19),and‘Annong 0711’(AN0711),in the two growing seasons of 2019-2020 and 2020-2021,with passive night warming during different periods in the early growth stage.The treatments were night warming during the tillering-jointing(NW_(T-J)),jointing-booting(NWJ-B),and booting-anthesis(NWB-A)stages,with ambient temperature(NN)as the control.The effects of night warming during different stages on wheat yield formation were investigated by determining the characteristics of dry matter accumulation and translocation,as well as sucrose and starch accumulation in wheat grains.The wheat yields of all four cultivars were significantly higher in NW_(T-J)than in NN in the 2-year experiment.The yield increases of semi-winter cultivars YN19 and AN0711 were greater than those of spring cultivars YM18 and SM188.Treatment NW_(T-J)increased wheat yield mainly by increasing the 1,000-grain weight and the number of fertile spikelets,and it increased dry matter accumulation in various organs of wheat at the anthesis and maturity stages by increasing the growth rate at the vegetative growth stage.The flag leaf and spike showed the largest increases in dry matter accumulation.NW_(T-J)also increased the grain sucrose and starch contents in the early and middle grain-filling stages,promoting yield formation.Overall,night warming between the tillering and jointing stages increased the pre-anthesis growth rate,and thus,wheat dry matter production,which contributed to an increase in wheat yield.Yonghui Fan Boya Qin Jinhao Yang Liangliang Ma Guoji Cui Wei He Yu Tang Wenjing Zhang Shangyu Ma Chuanxi Ma Zhenglai Huang 2024Journal of Integrative Agriculture2024,23,2:0
