An experimental study of shear strength of gas-hydrate-bearing core samples显示文摘The shear strength of gas-hydrate-bearing reservoirs is one of the most important parameters used to study mechanical properties of gas-hydrate-bearing reservoirs. The shear strength of gas-hydratebearing reservoirs changes with filling and cementation of gas hydrates, which will affect the wellbore and reservoir stability.Traditional shear tests could not be conducted on gas-hydrate-bearing core samples because the gas hydrates exist under a limited range of temperature and pressure conditions. This paper describes a novel shear apparatus for studying shear strength of gas-hydrate-bearing core samples under original reservoir conditions. The preparation of gas-hydrate-bearing core samples and subsequent shear tests are done in the same cell.Cohesion and internal friction angle of the core samples with different saturations of gas hydrates were measured with the apparatus. The effect of gas hydrates on the shear strength of reservoirs was quantitatively analyzed. This provides a foundation for studying wellbore and reservoir stability of gas-hydrate-bearing reservoirs.Zhang Weidong Ma Qingtao Wang Ruihe Ren Shaoran 2011Petroleum Science2011,8,2:5
Numerical Simulation of Water and Sand Blowouts When Penetrating Through Shallow Water Flow Formations in Deep Water Drilling显示文摘In this study, we applied a two-phase flow model to simulate water and sand blowout processes when penetrating shallow water flow(SWF) formations during deepwater drilling. We define ‘sand' as a pseudo-component with high density and viscosity, which can begin to flow with water when a critical pressure difference is attained. We calculated the water and sand blowout rates and analyzed the influencing factors from them, including overpressure of the SWF formation, as well as its zone size, porosity and permeability, and drilling speed(penetration rate). The obtained data can be used for the quantitative assessment of the potential severity of SWF hazards. The results indicate that overpressure of the SWF formation and its zone size have significant effects on SWF blowout. A 10% increase in the SWF formation overpressure can result in a more than 90% increase in the cumulative water blowout and a 150% increase in the sand blowout when a typical SWF sediment is drilled. Along with the conventional methods of well flow and pressure control, chemical plugging, and the application of multi-layer casing, water and sand blowouts can be effectively reduced by increasing the penetration rate. As such, increasing the penetration rate can be a useful measure for controlling SWF hazards during deepwater drilling.REN Shaoran LIU Yanmin GONG Zhiwu YUAN Yujie YU Lu WANG Yanyong XU Yan DENG Junyu 2018Journal of Ocean University of China2018,17,1:2
CasRx-mediated RNA targeting prevents choroidal neovascularization in a mouse model of age-related macular degeneration显示文摘RNA-targeting CRISPR system Cas13 offers an efficient approach for manipulating RNA transcripts in vitro. In this perspective,we provide a proof-of-concept demonstration that Cas13-mediated Vegfa knockdown in vivo could prevent the development of laser-induced CNV in mouse model of Age-related macular degeneration.Changyang Zhou Xinde Hu Cheng Tang Wenjia Liu Shaoran Wang Yingsi Zhou Qimeng Zhao Qiyu Bo Linyu Shi Xiaodong Sun Haibo Zhou Hui Yang 2020National Science Review2020,7,5:2
Experimental study on the compatibility of scale inhibitors with Mono Ethylene Glycol显示文摘When both of the scaling and hydrate risks occur in deep water wells or subsea pipelines at the same time, the compatibility between scale and hydrate inhibitors should be paid more attention to for the risk prevention. In this paper,a new deep-water gas field found in the South China Sea is taken as a reference of project background to investigate the compati bility between scale inhibitors and hydrate inhibitors experimentally.Firstly a preliminary qualification evaluation of scale inhibitors was caried out,in which the static scale inhibition eficiency, the scale induction time, and the minimum effective concentrations of the selected scale inhibitors were tested. Then the effect of commonly used thermodynamic hydrate inhibitor MEG(Mono Ethylene Glycol)on the anti-scaling performance of scale inhibitors was evaluated.MEG-resisted scale inhibitors were further optimized. Finally,an extended discussion on the compati-bility of scale inhibition with hydrate inhibition was conducted. The experimental results showed that the scale inhi bitors HPMA and MA/AA were recommended with the best working concentration of 30 ppm.The high concentration inhibitors(30 wt%)can coexist with the same volume of pure MEG for more than 12-14 h at room condition and 60°C without any precipitation. The anti-scale fficiency of inhibitor with 30 ppm concentration is still up to 90%even at the presence of 20wt%MEG(after2-4 h at 95°C).Hence,in deep-water wellbore, compatible scale and hydrate inhi bitors can be injected together using one chemical pipeline.Besides,it is also found that the polymer scale inhibitors generally have good compatibility with MEG.It deserves further studies and can be regarded as one direction for scale inhibitor improvement in the future.Jiahao Chao Liang Zhang Rong Feng Zhiyuan Wang Sudan Xu Chong Zhang Shaoran Ren 2020Petroleum Research2020,5,4:0
Applicable scope of oxygen-reduced air flooding and the limit of oxygen content显示文摘The mechanisms of oxygen-reduced air flooding(ORAF)and the explosion limit and the corrosion control approaches were studied based on the pilots of oxygen-reduced air flooding(ORAF)in the Dagang,Changqing and Daqing oil fields in China. On the foundation of indoor investigations and pilots, the explosion limits, oxygen reduction limits and corrosion control approaches were clarified. When the temperature of reservoir is equal to and higher than 120℃,there is a violent reaction between oxygen and crude oil, that means the effect of low temperature oxidation would be fully taken use of to enhance oil recovery by air flooding directly;nitrogen dominated immiscible flooding with oxygen-reduced air should be applied in cases where reservoir temperature is below 120℃ with little oxygen consumption and little heat generated. The oxygen-reduced air flooding is suitable for 3 types of reservoirs:low permeability reservoir, water flooding development reservoir of high water-cut and high temperature and high salinity reservoir. In the process of development,in order to ensure safety, the oxygen reduction limits should be controlled fewer than 10%,while oxygen-reduced air can obviously reduce the corrosion rate of pipes; The surface pipelines and injection wells don’t need to consider about oxygen corrosion with no water, special materials and structure of pipe or corrosion inhibitor can be applied to the surface pipelines and injection wellbores with water.Air/oxygen-reduced air is a low-cost displacement medium and it could be applied in many special conditions of low permeability reservoir for energy supplement, huff and puff and displacement, that means oxygen-reduced air flooding has become the most potential strategic technology in 20 years.LIAO Guangzhi YANG Huaijun JIANG Youwei REN Shaoran LI Dangguo WANG Liangang WANG Zhengmao WANG Bojun LIU Weidong 2018Petroleum Exploration and Development2018,45,1:0
