Absolute instability modes due to rescattering of stimulated Raman scattering in a large nonuniform plasma显示文摘Absolute instability modes due to secondary scattering of stimulated Raman scattering (SRS) in a large nonuniform plasma are studied theoretically and numerically. The backscattered light of convective SRS can be considered as a pump light with a finite bandwidth. The different frequency components of the backscattered light can be coupled to develop absolute SRS instability near their quarter-critical densities via rescattering process. The absolute SRS mode develops a Langmuir wave with a high phase velocity of about c/■ with c the light speed in vacuum. Given that most electrons are at low velocities in the linear stage, the absolute SRS mode grows with very weak Landau damping. When the interaction evolves into the nonlinear regime, the Langmuir wave can heat abundant electrons up to a few hundred ke V via the SRS rescattering. Our theoretical model is validated by particle-in-cell simulations. The absolute instabilities may play a considerable role in the experiments of inertial confinement fusion. | Yao Zhao Zhengming Sheng Suming Weng Shengzhe Ji Jianqiang Zhu | 2019 | High Power Laser Science and Engineering2019,7,1: | 2

Investigating the dynamic memory effect of human drivers via ON-LSTM显示文摘It is a widely accepted view that considering the memory effects of historical information(driving operations)is beneficial for vehicle trajectory prediction models to improve prediction accuracy. However, many commonly used models(e.g.,long short-term memory,LSTM)can only implicitly simulate memory effects, but lack effective mechanisms to capture memory effects from sequence data and estimate their effective time range(ETR).This shortage makes it hard to dynamically configure the most suitable length of used historical information according to the current driving behavior, which harms the good understanding of vehicle motion. To address this problem,we propose a modified trajectory prediction model based on ordered neuron LSTM(ON-LSTM).We demonstrate the feasibility of ETR estimation based on ON-LSTM and propose an ETR estimation method. We estimate the ETR of driving fluctuations and lane change operations on the NGSIM I-80 dataset. The experiment results prove that the proposed method can well capture the memory effects during trajectory prediction. Moreover, the estimated ETR values are in agreement with our intuitions. | Shengzhe DAI Zhiheng LI Li LI Dongpu CAO Xingyuan DAI Yilun LIN | 2020 | Science China(Information Sciences)2020,63,9: | 1
Granulocyte colony-stimulating factor increases extracellular glutamic acid uptake and suppresses free radicals in an experimental model of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis显示文摘Excitatory amino acid toxicity and free radical damage play important roles in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.Granulocyte colony-stimulating factor(G-CSF)protects nerve cells exposed to high-concentrations of glutamic acid, suggesting positive effects in the treatment of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. The present study induced in vitro motor neuron injury using glutamic acid excito-toxicity,and the biochemical effects of G-CSF on glutamic acid concentration were determined. In addition, the effects of G-CSF on superoxide dismutase, glutathione peroxidase activity in motor neurons, and malondialdehyde and nitric oxide contents were analyzed.Immunohistochemistry was performed to measure neuronal survival. Results revealed that G-CSF significantly suppressed free radical activity, inhibited excitotoxicity, and reduced apoptosis and loss of motor neurons in the an-terior horn of the spinal cord. | Shengzhe Zheng Lei Song Lei Lu Lina Lin Yao Wang Qun Liu | 2011 | Neural Regeneration Research2011,6,2: | 1

Identification and optimization of peptide inhibitors to block VISTA/PSGL-1 interaction for cancer immunotherapy显示文摘Developing new therapeutic agents for cancer immunotherapy is highly demanding due to the low response ratio of PD-1/PD-L1 blockade in cancer patients. Here,we discovered that the novel immune checkpoint VISTA is highly expressed on a variety of tumor-infiltrating immune cells, especially myeloid derived suppressor cells(MDSCs)and CD8^(+)T cells. Then, peptide C1 with binding affinity to VISTA was developed by phage displayed bio-panning technique, and its mutant peptide VS3 was obtained by molecular docking based mutation.Peptide VS3 could bind VISTA with high affinity and block its interaction with ligand PSGL-1 under acidic condition, and elicit anti-tumor activity in vivo. The peptide DVS3-Pal was further designed by D-amino acid substitution and fatty acid modification, which exhibited strong proteolytic stability and significant anti-tumor activity through enhancing CD8^(+)T cell function and decreasing MDSCs infiltration. This is the first study to develop peptides to block VISTA/PSGL-1 interaction, which could act as promising candidates for cancer immunotherapy. | Xiaoshuang Niu Menghan Wu Guodong Li Xiuman Zhou Wenpeng Cao Wenjie Zhai Aijun Wu Xiaowen Zhou Shengzhe Jin Guanyu Chen Yanying Li Jiangfeng Du Yahong Wu Lu Qiu Wenshan Zhao Yanfeng Gao | 2023 | Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2023,13,11: | 0
Division and correlation of Yixian Formation in western Liaoning,China显示文摘The Yixian Formation is a series of volcanic-sedimentary rocks in Biepiao area of Liaoning Province. It is mainly composed of basic and intermediate-basic volcanic lava, pyroclasts and terrestrial sedimentary rocks. Based on the regularity of volcanic activity, the Yixian Formation was divided by the present authors into four members in ascending order:the first member is of basal conglomerate, basic and intermediate-basic volcanic rocks; the second member is of lake phrase sedimentary rocks,or in another word, precious fossil-rich sedimentary beds; the third is of basic volcanic rocks; and the fourth is of upper conglomerate. Field mapping and comprehensive study also indicate that there are abundant vertebrate fossils (mainly of Psittacosaurus) in the first member of the Yixian Formation, and the Jehol Biota (including Sinosauropterxy,Confuciusorns sanctus,Archaefructus, etc.) is yielded in the second member of Yixian Formation. From west to east, the volcanic activity of Yixian Formation changed regularly from early to late, and from basic and intermediate-basic to acid (alkali). | ZHAO Liang XING Dehe' SUN Chulin SUN Yuewu ZHANG Lidong GUO Shengzhe ZHANG Changjie PENG Yandong JIA Bin CHEN Shuwang DING Qiuhong ZHENG Yuejuan | 2010 | Global Geology2010,13,3: | 0
Solution Path of the Perturbed Karush-Kuhn-Tucker System for Stochastic Nonlinear Programming with Inequality Constraints显示文摘This paper focuses on the study for the stability of stochastic nonlinear programming when the probability measure is perturbed. Under the Lipschitz continuity of the objective function and metric regularity of the feasible set-valued mapping, the outer semicontinuity of the optimal solution set and Lipschitz continuity of optimal values are guaranteed. Importantly,it is proved that, if the linear independence constraint qualification and strong second-order sufficient condition hold at a local minimum point of the original problem, there exists a Lipschitz continuous solution path satisfying the Karush-Kuhn-Tucker conditions. | Liwei ZHANG Shengzhe GAO Shaoyan GUO | 2019 | Journal of Mathematical Research with Applications2019,39,3: | 0
Uniqueness of Lekima compared to tropical cyclones landed in the east coast of China during 1979–2019显示文摘Tropical cyclone (TC) causes huge damage to lives and properties due to strong winds, storm surge, heavy rainfall and flooding(Peduzzi et al.,2012;Zhang et al.,2009).Climate model simulations suggested that the frequency of TCs might increase during the 21st century, especially over the western North Pacific (Emanuel,2013).Climate changes tend to double the economic damages caused by natural disaster,i.e.,strong TCs.East Asia hit by TCs may suffer great damages in the future (Mendelsohn et al.,2012). | Yifan Ding Jiping Liu Shengzhe Chen Xiao Cheng Zhaojun Zheng | 2020 | Acta Oceanologica Sinica2020,39,8: | 0
Construction of a universal recombinant expression vector that regulates the expression of human lysozyme in milk显示文摘The mammary gland provides a novel method for producing recombinant proteins in milk of transgenic animals. A key component in the technology is the construction of an efficient milk expression vector. Here,we established a simple method to construct a milk expression vector, by a combination of homologous recombination and digestion-ligation. Our methodology is expected to have the advantages of both plasmid and bacterial artificial chromosome(BAC) vectors. The BAC of mouse whey acidic protein gene(mWAP) was modified twice by homologous recombination to produce a universal expression vector, and the human lysozyme gene(hLZ) was then inserted into the vector by a digestionligation method. The final vector containing the 8.5 kb mWAP 5′ promoter, 4.8 kb h LZ genomic DNA, and 8.0 kb m WAP 3′ genomic DNA was microinjected into pronuclei of fertilized mouse embryos, to successfully generate two transgenic mouse lines that expressed recombinant human lysozyme(rhLZ) in milk. The highest expression level of rhLZ was 0.45 g$L–1, and rhLZ exhibited the same antibacterial activity as native h LZ. Our results have provided a simple approach to construct a universal milk expression vector, and demonstrated that the resulting vector regulates the expression of hLZ in milk. | Shen LIU Shengzhe SHANG Xuezhen YANG Huihua ZHANG Dan LU Ning LI | 2018 | Frontiers of Agricultural Science and Engineering2018,5,3: | 0
Lysosomal TMEM9-LAMTOR4-controlled mTOR signaling integrity is required for mammary tumorigenesis显示文摘Dear Editor,Accumulating evidence suggests that dysregulated lysosomal membrane proteins, including vacuolar ATPase(v-ATPase)and the mammalian target of rapamycin(mTOR),are involved in tumorigenesis[1].Therefore,lysosomal proteins were proposed as potential therapeutic targets in cancer[1].As one of the lysosome-related signaling pathways,mTOR signaling regulates cell proliferation, survival, motility, and metabolism[2].SincemTOR signaling activation promotes tumorigenesis,mTOR inhibitors(mTORi),AZD8055[3],MLN0128[4],and Rapalink-1(the latest third-generation mTORi)[4],have been applied to several cancers. However, the limitations of mTORi include drug resistance and the lack of biomarkers. | Shengzhe Zhang Sung Ho Lee Litong Nie Yuanjian Huang Gengyi Zou Youn-Sang Jung Sohee Jun Jie Zhang Esther MLien Junjie Chen Jae-Il Park | 2023 | Cancer Communications2023,43,1: | 0
Assessment of Snow Depth over Arctic Sea Ice in CMIP6 Models Using Satellite Data显示文摘Snow depth over sea ice is an essential variable for understanding the Arctic energy budget. In this study,we evaluate snow depth over Arctic sea ice during 1993-2014 simulated by 31 models from phase 6 of the Coupled Model Intercomparison Project(CMIP6)against recent satellite retrievals. The CMIP6 models capture some aspects of the observed snow depth climatology and variability. The observed variability lies in the middle of the models’simulations. All the models show negative trends of snow depth during 1993-2014.However,substantial spatiotemporal discrepancies are identified.Compared to the observation, most models have late seasonal maximum snow depth(by two months),remarkably thinner snow for the seasonal minimum,an incorrect transition from the growth to decay period, and a greatly underestimated interannual variability and thinning trend of snow depth over areas with frequent occurrence of multi-year sea ice. Most models are unable to reproduce the observed snow depth gradient from the Canadian Arctic to the outer areas and the largest thinning rate in the central Arctic.Future projections suggest that snow depth in the Arctic will continue to decrease from 2015 to 2099.Under the SSP5-8.5 scenario, the Arctic will be almost snow-free during the summer and fall and the accumulation of snow starts from January.Further investigation into the possible causes of the issues for the simulated snow depth by some models based on the same family of models suggests that resolution, the inclusion of a hightop atmospheric model, and biogeochemistry processes are important factors for snow depth simulation. | Shengzhe CHEN Jiping LIU Yifan DING Yuanyuan ZHANG Xiao CHENG Yongyun HU | 2021 | Advances in Atmospheric Sciences2021,38,2: | 0
Development of LAG-3/FGL1 blocking peptide and combination with radiotherapy for cancer immunotherapy显示文摘Aside from antibodies, peptides show great potential as immune checkpoint inhibitors(ICIs)due to several advantages, such as better tumor penetration and lower cost.Lymphocyte-activation gene 3(LAG-3)is an immune checkpoint which can induce T cell dysfunction through interaction with its soluble ligand fibrinogen like protein-1(FGL1).Here,we found that LAG-3 expression was higher than programmed cell death protein 1(PD-1)in multiple human cancers by TCGA databases, and successfully identified a LAG-3 binding peptide LFP-6 by phage display bio-panning,which specifically blocks the interaction of LAG-3/FGL1 but not LAG-3/MHC-II.Subsequently,D-amino acids were introduced to substitute the N-and C-terminus of LFP-6 to obtain the proteolysis-resistant peptide LFP-D1,which restores T cell function in vitro and inhibits tumor growth in vivo.Further,a bispecific peptide LFOP targeting both PD-1/PD-L1 and LAG-3/FGL1 was designed by conjugating LFP-D1 with PD-1/PD-L1blocking peptide OPBP-1(8-12),which activates T cell with enhanced proliferation and IFN-γ production.More importantly,LFOP combined with radiotherapy significantly improve the T cell infiltration in tumor and elevate systemic antitumor immune response. In conclusion,we developed a novel peptide blocking LAG-3/FGL1 which can restore T cell function, and the bispecific peptide synergizes with radiotherapy to further enhance the antitumor immune response. | Yuzhen Qian Yixuan Sun Peishang Shi Xiuman Zhou Qiongqiong Zhang Qingyu Dong Shengzhe Jin Lu Qiu Xiaoshuang Niu Xiaowen Zhou Wenshan Zhao Yahong Wu Wenjie Zhai Yanfeng Gao | 2024 | Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2024,14,3: | 0
Dissolution behavior, thermodynamic and kinetic analysis of malonamide by experimental measurement and molecular simulation显示文摘In this study, the solid structure, dissolution behavior, thermodynamic properties and nucleation kinetics of malonamide were explored.Firstly, the Hirshfeld surface analysis and molecular electrostatic potential surface were plotted to reveal the percentage contribution of various intermolecular contacts and location of the strongest hydrogen bond.Next, the solubility of malonamide in 12 solvents was determined by dynamic method at temperatures from 278.15 K to 318.15 K.Four thermodynamic models were applied to analyze solubility results. In addition, the thermodynamic properties were calculated to further analyze and discuss the dissolution behavior of malonamide. Moreover, the physicochemical properties of solvents were explored to express the solvent effects. The results illustrate“like dissolves like”,“mass transfer”and“solvent–solute interaction”rules play the synergistic effects on the dissolution process. The molecular dynamic simulation, including radial distribution function analysis and solvent free energy, was used to further explain the dissolution behavior. At last, the nucleation rate and effective interfacial energy in methanol solvent was measured and calculated to reveal the nucleation behaviour. | Peng Yang Shengzhe Jia Yan Wang Zongqiu Li Songgu Wu Jingkang Wang Junbo Gong | 2023 | Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2023,53,1: | 0
Rydberg state excitation in molecules manipulated by bicircular two-color laser pulses显示文摘Multiphoton resonant excitation and frustrated tunneling ionization, manifesting the photonic and optical nature of the driving light via direct excitation and electron recapture, respectively, are complementary mechanisms to access Rydberg state excitation(RSE)of atoms and molecules in an intense laser field. However, clear identification and manipulation of their individual contributions in the light-induced RSE process remain experimentally challenging. Here,we bridge this gap by exploring the dissociative and nondissociative RSE of H2 molecules using bicircular two-color laser pulses.Depending on the relative field strength and polarization helicity of the two colors, the RSE probability can be boosted by more than one order of magnitude by exploiting the laser waveform-dependent field effect. The role of the photon effect is readily strengthened with increasing relative strength of the second-harmonic field of the two colors regardless of the polarization helicity. As compared to the nondissociative RSE forming H2,the field effect in producing the dissociative RSE channel of eHt;HT is moderately suppressed, which is primarily accessed via a three-step sequential process separated by molecular bond stretching. Our work paves the way toward a comprehensive understanding of the interplay of the underlying field and photon effects in the strong-field RSE process,as well as facilitating the generation of Rydberg states optimized with tailored characteristics. | Wenbin Zhang Yongzhe Ma Chenxu Lu Fei Chen Shengzhe Pan Peifen Lu Hongcheng Ni Jian Wu | 2023 | Advanced Photonics2023,5,1: | 0
Damage quantitative assessment of spacecraft in a large-size inspection显示文摘To ensure the safety and reliability of spacecraft during multiple space missions,it is necessary to conduct in-situ nondestructive detection of the spacecraft to judge the damage caused by the hypervelocity impact of micrometeoroids and orbital debris(MMOD).In this paper,we propose an innovative quantitative assessment method based on damage reconstructed image mosaic technology.First,a Gaussian mixture model clustering algorithm is applied to extract images that highlight damage characteristics. Then,a mosaicking scheme based on the ORB feature extraction algorithm and an improved M-estimator SAmple Consensus(MSAC)algorithm with an adaptive threshold selection method is proposed which can create large-scale mosaicked images for damage detection.Eventually,to create the mosaicked images, the damage characteristic regions are segmented and extracted. The location of the damage area is determined and the degree of damage is judged by calculating the centroid position and the perimeter quantitative parameters. The efficiency and applicability of the proposed method are verified by the experimental results. | Kuo ZHANG Jianliang HUO Shengzhe WANG Xiao ZHANG Yiting FENG | 2022 | Frontiers of Information Technology & Electronic Engineering2022,23,4: | 0
Recent progress in InGaZnO FETs for high-density 2T0C DRAM applications显示文摘In the past several decades, the density and performance of transistors in a single chip have been increasing based on Moore's Law.However, the slowdown of feature size reduction and memory wall in the von Neumann architecture restrict the improvement of system performance and energy efficiency. Thus the requirements of the emerging big data and artificial intelligence applications cannot be met.To address this issue, novel devices and architectures are being explored.Among them, the InGaZnO(IGZO)fieldeffect transistor(FET)device and the computing-in-memory(CIM)architecture can be possible solutions for high-density,high-performance,and high-efficiency applications.Herein,we review the recent progress in IGZO-based FETs for dynamic random access memory(DRAM)applications. The mechanism of IGZO FETs,compact modeling of IGZO transistors, progress of IGZO manufacturing process,IGZO circuit design, and IGZO-based CIM and 3D integration architectures are presented.Furthermore, the challenges and future trends of IGZO research are discussed. | Shengzhe YAN Zhaori CONG Nianduan LU Jinshan YUE Qing LUO | 2023 | Science China(Information Sciences)2023,66,10: | 0
