2Effect of the W-beam central guardrails on wind-blown sand deposition on desert expressways in sandy regions显示文摘Many desert expressways are affected by the deposition of the wind-blown sand,which might block the movement of vehicles or cause accidents.W-beam central guardrails,which are used to improve the safety of desert expressways,are thought to influence the deposition of the wind-blown sand,but this has yet not to be studied adequately.To address this issue,we conducted a wind tunnel test to simulate and explore how the W-beam central guardrails affect the airflow,the wind-blown sand flux and the deposition of the wind-blown sand on desert expressways in sandy regions.The subgrade model is 3.5 cm high and 80.0 cm wide,with a bank slope ratio of 1:3.The W-beam central guardrails model is 3.7 cm high,which included a 1.4-cm-high W-beam and a 2.3-cm-high stand column.The wind velocity was measured by using pitot-static tubes placed at nine different heights(1,2,3,5,7,10,15,30 and 50 cm)above the floor of the chamber.The vertical distribution of the wind-blown sand flux in the wind tunnel was measured by using the sand sampler,which was sectioned into 20 intervals.In addition,we measured the wind-blown sand flux in the field at K50 of the Bachu-Shache desert expressway in the Taklimakan Desert on 11 May 2016,by using a customized 78-cm-high gradient sand sampler for the sand flux structure test.Obstruction by the subgrade leads to the formation of two weak wind zones located at the foot of the windward slope and at the leeward slope of the subgrade,and the wind velocity on the leeward side weakens significantly.The W-beam central guardrails decrease the leeward wind velocity,whereas the velocity increases through the bottom gaps and over the top of the W-beam central guardrails.The vertical distribution of the wind-blown sand flux measured by wind tunnel follows neither a power-law nor an exponential function when affected by either the subgrade or the W-beam central guardrails.At 0.0H and 0.5H(where H=3.5 cm,which is the height of the subgrade),the sand transport is less at the 3 cm height from the subgrade surface than at the 1 and 5 cm heights as a result of obstruction by the W-beam central guardrails,and the maximum sand transportation occurs at the 5 cm height affected by the subgrade surface.The average saltation height in the presence of the W-beam central guardrails is greater than the subgrade height.The field test shows that the sand deposits on the overtaking lane leeward of the W-beam central guardrails and that the thickness of the deposited sand is determined by the difference in the sand mass transported between the inlet and outlet points,which is consistent with the position of the minimum wind velocity in the wind tunnel test.The results of this study could help us to understand the hazards of the wind-blown sand onto subgrade with the W-beam central guardrails.WANG Cui LI Shengyu LEI Jiaqiang LI Zhinong CHEN Jie 2020Journal of Arid Land2020,12,1:2

53D FEM Simulation of Milling Force in Corner Machining Process显示文摘To optimize milling force and machining accuracy quality in corner milling process, the changing law of milling force is revealed by Finite Element Method(FEM).Based on DEFORM software a serial of 3D FEM models for corner milling process are devloped. Tool curved trajectory is achieved by establishing accurate relationship of tool location with milling time. Adaptive remeshing technique and iterative algorithm are adopted to ensure convergence of FEM model. Component force characteristics are revealed by analyzing FEM simulation results. It indicates that the milling force in Y direction becomes negative comparing with forces in X and Z direction.Magnitude of forces in three directions decreases with increase of spindle speed, while it increases with increase of milling feedrate. The simulation results for cutting force are in good agreement with those obtained from experiment. 9Fibroblast growth factor 5 overexpression ameliorated lipopolysaccharide-induced apoptosis of hepatocytes through regulation of the phosphoinositide-3-kinase/protein kinase B pathway显示文摘Background:Sepsis is a systemic inflammatory syndrome induced by several infectious agents.Multiple organs are affected by sepsis,including the liver,which plays an important role in metabolism and immune homeostasis.Fibroblast growth factors(FGFs)participate in several biological processes,although the role of FGF5 in sepsis is unclear.Methods:In this study,lipopolysaccharide(LPS)was administrated to mice to establish a sepsis-induced liver injury.A similar in vitro study was conducted using L-02 hepatocytes.Western blot and immunohistochemistry staining were performed to evaluate the FGF5 expression level in liver tissues and cells.Inflammatory cell infiltrations,cleaved-caspase-3 expressions,reactive oxygen species and levels of inflammatory cytokines were detected by immunofluorescence,dihydroethidium staining,and reverse transcription quantitative polymerase chain reaction analysis,respectively.Flow cytometry was used to detect the apoptosis level of cells.In addition,ribonucleic acid(RNA)-sequencing was applied to explore the possible mechanism by which FGF5 exerted effects.Results:LPS administration caused FGF5 down-regulation in the mouse liver as well as in L-02 hepatocytes.Additionally,with FGF5 overexpression,liver injury and the level of hepatocyte apoptosis were ameliorated.Further,RNA sequencing performed in hepatocytes revealed the phosphoinositide-3-kinase/protein kinase B(PI3K/AKT)pathway as a possible pathway regulated by FGF5.This was supported using an inhibitor of the PI3K/AKT pathway,which abrogated the protective effect of FGF5 in LPSinduced hepatocyte injury.Conclusion:The anti-apoptotic effect of FGF5 on hepatocytes suffering from LPS has been demonstrated and was dependent on the activation of the PI3K/AKT signaling pathway.Shengyu Cui Yuhua Li Xutao Zhang Bing Wu Ming Li Jixian Gao Lin Xu Hao Xia 2022Chinese Medical Journal2022,135,23:0
10Unconventional metamagnetic phase transition in R_(2)In(R=Nd, Pr)with lambda-like specific heat and nonhysteresis显示文摘The phase transition of Nd_(2)In and Pr_(2)In has been studied and found to be between the first-order and second-order nature.Hardly any hysteresis nor obvious cell volume changes are presented.Concurrently the field-triggered metamagnetism is demonstrated with lambda-like peak on specific heat curve.For the field change of 7 T,giant magnetic entropy changes of 13.2 J kg^(-1)K^(-1) and 19.5 J kg^(-1)K^(-1) and adiabatic temperature changes of 6.5 K and 7.4 K have been achieved in Nd_(2)In and Pr_(2) In alloys respectively,which is partially contributed by strong magnetoelastic coupling represented by high saturation magnetostriction of~450 ppm.Such unique feature is proposed to be originated from the delocalized 5d electrons,as evidenced by the negative magnetoresistance caused by the phase transition.Weibin Cui Guiquan Yao Shengyu Sun Qiang Wang Jie Zhu Sen Yang 2022Journal of Materials Science & Technology2022,,6:0
11Green biomanufacturing promoted by automatic retrobiosynthesis planning and computational enzyme design显示文摘Biomanufacturing,which uses renewable resources as raw materials and uses biological processes to produce energy and chemicals,has long been regarded as a production model that replaces the unsustainable fossil economy.The construction of non-natural and efficient biosynthesis routes of chemicals is an important goal of green biomanufacturing.Traditional methods that rely on experience are difficult to support the realization of this goal.However,with the rapid development of information technology,the intelligence of biomanufacturing has brought hope to achieve this goal.Retrobiosynthesis and computational enzyme design,as two of the main technologies in intelligent biomanufacturing,have developed rapidly in recent years and have made great achievements and some representative works have demonstrated the great value that the integration of the two fields may bring.To achieve the final integration of the two fields,it is necessary to examine the information,methods and tools from a bird’s-eye view,and to find a feasible idea and solution for establishing a connection point.For this purpose,this article briefly reviewed the main ideas,methods and tools of the two fields,and put forward views on how to achieve the integration of the two fields.Ziheng Cui Shiding Zhang Shengyu Zhang Biqiang Chen Yushan Zhu Tianwei Tan 2022Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2022,35,1:0
