| 6 | Advances in Research on Anti-cancer Mechanism of 18β Glycyrrhetinic Acid显示文摘Glycyrrhiza uralensis Fisch has been used to treat the symptoms of organ fever, food poisoning, typhoid fever, sore throat, cough due to lung heat, children's diseases and so on since the ancient times. It is a solid Chinese herbal medicine which is good for the health. In recent years, it has been found that licorice extract also has excellent anti-cancer effect. The 18β glycyrrhetinic acid, obtained by hydrolysis of precursor glycyrrhizic acid, is a relatively efficient anti-cancer ingredient. 18β glycyrrhetinic acid can exert anti-cancer effects by inhibiting cancer cell proliferation, inducing apoptosis of cancer cells, inhibiting invasion and metastasis of cancer cells, preventing oxidation, inhibiting neovascularization, inhibiting lymphangiogenesis, and regulating hormone secretion. | 9 | Endoscopically controlled surgery with open hemilaminectomy for the treatment of intradural extramedullary tumors:an operative technique and short-term outcomes of 20 consecutive cases显示文摘Background:To present a surgical technique for the treatment of intradural extramedullary(IDEM)tumors by using endoscopically controlled surgery with open hemilaminectomy technique.Methods:In this study,20 patients with 22 IDEM tumors were enrolled.An endoscopically controlled surgery with open hemilaminectomy was employed to remove the tumors.Data related to clinical symptoms and medical images before and after surgery were collected for perioperative evaluation and follow-up analysis.Results:All the tumors in 20 patients were well removed.The clinical symptoms were significantly reduced in all the patients as well.The short-term follow-up data showed that there was no tumor recurrence or spinal deformity.Conclusion:The endoscopically controlled surgery with open hemilaminectomy technique provided favorable exposure and satisfactory resection to the IDEM tumors.It may be an effective surgical method for treating IDEM tumors.Larger samples and longer follow-up data are needed to verify its long-term effectiveness. | Xiaorong Yan Huiqing Wang Cai Li Yuanxiang Lin Lin Lin Shinong Zhu Chenyang Wang Zhangya Lin Changzhen Jiang Dezhi Kang | 2021 | Chinese Neurosurgical Journal2021,7,2: | 0 |
| 10 | 3.0-T magnetic resonance imaging in children with brachial plexus birth injury显示文摘Brachial plexus birth injuries in children are usually diagnosed using 1.5-T magnetic resonance imaging,while the application of high-field magnetic resonance imaging is rarely reported.Therefore,a retrospective comparison of 18 cases of children with brachial plexus injury was performed to investigate the characteristics of 3.0-T magnetic resonance imaging and intraoperative observations.Magnetic resonance examinations in 18 cases of children showed that pseudo-meningocele sensitivity,specificity,accuracy,and positivity rates were 83.3%,79.6%,81.1%,and 40.0%,respectively.As for the neuroma and fibrous scar encapsulation,the sensitivity,specificity,accuracy,and positivity rates were 92.9%,50.0%,83.3%,and 77.8%,respectively.These results confirm that 3.0-T high-field magnetic resonance imaging can clearly reveal abnormal changes in brachial plexus injury,in which pseudo-meningocele,fibrous scar encapsulation,and neuroma are the characteristic changes of obstetric brachial plexus preganglionic and postganglionic nerve injury. | Shinong Pan Lijie Tian Wei Liao Feng Tian Jian Mao Fei Wang Rongjie Bai Qi Li ZhianChen Qiyong Guo | 2011 | Neural Regeneration Research2011,6,6: | 0 |

| 16 | Research Progress on Biological Activity of Cytisine显示文摘Cytisine(Cyt) is a kind of quinolizidine alkaloids mainly existing in seeds of plants from Laburnum of Leguminosae sp. In recent years, various biological activities of Cyt have been explored gradually, and it has the effects of quitting smoking, promoting breathing, analgesia, and anti-cancer. At anti-cancer aspect, Cyt could induce apoptosis of cancer cells, and has been widely applied to inhibit proliferation of multiple tumor cells. At quitting smoking aspect, Cyt could be taken as selective local agonist to decline smokers' dependence on nicotine, and it is expected to be widely used in quitting smoking. At analgesia aspect, Cyt could regulate reflective exciting breathing and has been widely used in anesthesia of patients in clinical operation.
