1Congestive heart failure in COX2 deficient rats显示文摘Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs(NSAIDs)inhibit prostaglandin(PG)formation by targeting cyclooxygenase(COX)1 and 2.Long-term use of NSAIDs that selectively inhibit COX2 increases the risk for thrombotic events,cardiac failure,and hypertension.However,the underlying mechanisms remain unclear.In this study,COX1-and COX2-deficient rats were created via Cas9/RNA-mediated gene targeting.DNA genotyping and Western blot analysis confirmed successful generation of COX1^(-/-) and COX2^(-/-) rats.Adult COX1^(-/-) rats grew normally,while more than 70%of COX2^(-/-) rats after wean died within 2 months.Echocardiography showed markedly reduced left ventricular ejection fraction and fractional shortening in adult COX2^(-/-) rats compared to those in wildtype(WT)controls.Histological analysis revealed accumulation of inflammatory cells and severe interstitial and perivascular fibrosis in COX2^(-/-)cardiac tissues.Moreover,cardiac ATP and acetyl-Co A production was dramatically decreased in COX2^(-/-) rats.Consistently,the expression of genes related to mitochondrial oxidation,such as those that encode for subunits of pyruvate dehydrogenase complex and acyl Co A dehydrogenases,were downregulated,while glycolytic hexokinase 1(HK1)was upregulated in COX2^(-/-) heart tissues.These observations indicate that COX2-deficient rats developed spontaneously heart failure,likely as a result of dysregulated cardiac energy metabolism.Qiangyou Wan Deping Kong Qian Liu Shumin Guo Chenchen Wang Yan Zhao Zun-Ji Ke Ying Yu 2021Science China(Life Sciences)2021,64,7:3
2Design of a Flexible Capture Mechanism Inspired by Sea Anemone for Non-cooperative Targets显示文摘Robotic grippers have been used in industry as end-effectors but are usually limited to operations in pre-defined workspace.However,few devices can capture irregularly shaped dynamic targets in space,underwater and other unstructured environments.In this paper,a novel continuum arm group mechanism inspired by the morphology and motions of sea anemones is proposed.It is able to dissipate and absorb the kinetic energy of a fast moving target in omni-direction and utilize multiple arms to wrap and lock the target without accurate positioning control.Wire-driven actuation systems are implemented in the individual continuum arms,achieving both bending motion and stiffness regulation.Through finite element method,the influence of different configurations of the continuum arm group on the capture performance is analyzed.A robotic prototype is constructed and tested,showing the presented arm group mechanism has high adaptability to capture targets with different sizes,shapes,and incident angles.Jiankun Yang Chengwei Ren Chenghao Yang Youyu Wang Shumin Wan Rongjie Kang 2021Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2021,34,4:1

7Mineral Features of Surface Sediments and Analysis of Solid-State Mineral Resourcesin Southeastern China Sea显示文摘With the development of modern industry and the increase of human demand, it is increasingly important to prospect and exploit marine mineral resources. Based on the oceanic geological investigation references obtained from the regional geological surveying and mapping of China Sea (“Shantoufu, F 50” 1∶1 000 000) and on the data (“Marine Engineering Geological Investigation Project in the Pearl River Mouth basin in the South China Sea” 1∶200 000), the authors elaborate the grain size composition, mineral composition, mineral features and distribution pattern of the surface sediments in the sea at 114°-120°E and 20°-24°N. Moreover, the analysis of the regional solid state mineral resources in the coast of Fujian, Guangdong and the west of Taiwan, shows that the main resources include littoral/neritic placers, littoral/neritic sandy gravel and ferromanganese nodule (crust).
