2Optically probing molecular shuttling motion of[2]rotaxane by a conformation-adaptive fluorophore显示文摘A bistable[2]rotaxane with a conformation-adaptive macrocycle bearing a 9,14-diphenyl-9,14-dihydrodibenzo[a,c]phenazine(DPAC)unit was synthesized,which could be utilized to optical probe the molecular shuttling motion of the functionalized rotaxane system.The UV-vis,^(1) H NMR and PL spectroscopic data clearly demonstrated that the DPAC ring was interlocked onto the thread and the fluorescence intensity of the DPAC unit in the macrocycle was effectively regulated by the location change of the macrocycle along the thread under acid/base stimulation,which was attributed to the modulation of the intramolecular photo-induced electron transfer between the DPAC unit and the methyltriazole(MTA)unit.This bistable rotaxane system containing a conformation-adaptive fluorophore unit in the macrocycle moiety opens an alternative way to design functional bistable mechanically interlocked molecules.Chengyuan Yu Xiaodong Wang Cai-Xin Zhao Shun Yang Jiaan Gan Zhuo Wang Zhanqi Cao Da-Hui Qu 2022Chinese Chemical Letters2022,33,11:1
3Roles of FERONIA-like receptor genes in regulating grain size and quality in rice显示文摘Grain yield and quality are critical factors that determine the value of grain crops.In this study,we analyzed the functions of 12 FERONIA-like receptor(FLR)family members in rice and investigated their effects on grain size and quality.We found that FLR1,FLR2 and FLR8 negatively regulated grain size,and FLR15 positively regulated grain size.flr1 mutants had a higher cell number and an accelerated rate of grain filling compared to wild-type plants,which led to grains with greater widths.A mechanism underlying the regulation of grain size by FLR1 is that FLR1 is associated with OsRac1 Rho-like GTPase,a positive regulator of grain size.Regarding grain quality,the flr1 mutant had a higher percentage of chalkiness compared with wild-type plants,and seeds carrying mutations in flr3 and flr14 had endosperms with white floury cores.To elucidate the possible mechanism underlying this phenomenon,we found that FLR1 was constitutively expressed during endosperm development.RNA-seq analysis identified 2,367 genes that were differentially expressed in the flr1 mutant,including genes involved in starch and sucrose metabolism and carbon fixation.In this study,we identified the roles played by several FLR genes in regulating grain size and quality in rice and provided insights into the molecular mechanism governing the FLR1-mediated regulation of grain size.Long Wang Dandan Wang Zhuhong Yang Shun Jiang Jianing Qu Wei He Zhenming Liu Junjie Xing Youchu Ma Qinlu Lin Feng Yu 2021Science China(Life Sciences)2021,64,2:1

8Triggering a [2]rotaxane molecular shuttle through hydrogen sulfide显示文摘A novel chemically-controlled [2]rotaxane molecular shuttle was successfully designed and synthesized. A H_2 S-responsive bulk barrier was introduced between the two identical recognition stations of the [2]rotaxane to prevent dynamic shuttling of the macrocycle. 9A low temperature processable tin oxide interlayer via aminemodification for efficient and stable organic solar cells显示文摘The exploitation of proper electron transport layers(ETLs)and interface optimization can play a pivotal role to promote the performance of organic solar cells(OSCs).In this work,low temperature processable tin oxide(SnO_(2))colloidal nanoparticles with ethanolamine(EA)treatment are successfully employed for efficient and stable OSCs with light soaking free.The EA is chemically bonded with SnO_(2),and the ethanolamine treated tin oxide(E-SnO_(2))layer delivers a suitable work function of 4.10 eV and a unique surface texture with suspended polar moieties.The enhanced performance of E-SnO_(2) based OSCs can be attributed to the improved charge transport and electron extraction,which is correlated with the regulated energy level alignment and contact quality of E-SnO_(2)/active layer.As a result,considerable power conversion efficiencies(PCEs)of 10.30%,13.93%and 15.38%for PTB7-Th/PC_(71) BM,PM7/ITC6-4 F and PM6/Y6 based OSCs have been realized with E-SnO_(2) as ETL,respectively.Compared with ZnO based devices,the E-SnO_(2) based OSCs exhibit an improved light aging stability,which can retain 94.3%of their initial PCE of 15.38%after 100 h light aging for E-SnO_(2)/PM6/Y6 based OSCs.This work demonstrates that the enormous potential of E-SnO_(2) to serve as ETL for high-efficiency and stable OSCs.Shun Guang Jiangsheng Yu Hongtao Wang Xin Liu Shenya Qu Rihong Zhu Weihua Tang 2021Journal of Energy Chemistry2021,30,5:0
10Possibility of utilizing water-atomized Fe-Ni-Mo steel powder as base materials for warm compaction process显示文摘Water atomized Fe Ni Mo steel powder, was utilized as base powder for designing powder mixtures for warm pressing. The warm pressing and sintering behaviours of the powder mixtures were studied. The results show that, compared with the pressing at room temperature, the green density gain by warm pressing is within a range of 0.10 0.19 g/cm 3 and reduction in spring back is 30% 40% of the ambient, and maximum green density of 7.32 g/cm 3 at 735 MPa is obtained as the graphite mass fraction is 0.8%. It was found that sintered densities of the compacts were reduced slightly due to releasing of elastic stress stored in the compacts during sintering. 11Single-base resolution mapping of 2′-O-methylation sites by an exoribonuclease-enriched chemical method显示文摘2′-O-methylation(Nm)is one of the most abundant RNA epigenetic modifications and plays a vital role in the post-transcriptional regulation of gene expression.Current Nm mapping approaches are normally limited to highly abundant RNAs and have significant technical hurdles in m RNAs or relatively rare non-coding RNAs(nc RNAs).Here,we developed a new method for enriching Nm sites by using RNA exoribonuclease and periodate oxidation reactivity to eliminate 2′-hydroxylated(2′-OH)nucleosides,coupled with sequencing(Nm-REP-seq).We revealed several novel classes of Nm-containing nc RNAs as well as m RNAs in humans,mice,and drosophila.We found that some novel Nm sites are present at fixed positions in different t RNAs and are potential substrates of fibrillarin(FBL)methyltransferase mediated by sno RNAs.Importantly,we discovered,for the first time,that Nm located at the 3′-end of various types of nc RNAs and fragments derived from them.Our approach precisely redefines the genome-wide distribution of Nm and provides new technologies for functional studies of Nm-mediated gene regulation.Ping Zhang Junhong Huang Wujian Zheng Lifan Chen Shurong Liu Anrui Liu Jiayi Ye Jie Zhou Zhirong Chen Qiaojuan Huang Shun Liu Keren Zhou Lianghu Qu Bin Li Jianhua Yang 2023Science China(Life Sciences)2023,66,4:0
