1Efficacy and safety of Shaoyang Xibi decoction in patients with knee osteoarthritis:a multi-center,single-blind,randomized controlled trial显示文摘PURPOSE: To observe the efficacy and safety of Shaoyang Xibi decoction(SYXBD) in patients with knee osteoarthritis(KOA), and to verify that the theory of 'Shaoyang dominating bone' in Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) can be applied to KOA treatment.METHODS: Participants were randomly allocated to two groups: SYXBD(treatment group, n = 66)and Meloxicam(control group, n = 66). Western Ontario and McMaster Universities Osteoarthritis Index(WOMAC) and 36-Item Short Form Health Survey(SF-36) were used to assess efficacy before the treatment and 8 weeks after the treatment.RESULTS: Baseline data before the treatment between the two groups were similar. The WOMAC scores significantly decreased and the SF-36 scores significantly increased after 8-week treatment in both groups compared with before the treatment(P < 0.05). SYXBD significantly decreased pain scores(P < 0.001), physical function scores(P <0.001) and the total scores(P < 0.001) in WOMAC compared to Meloxicam. SYXBD significantly improved physical function(P = 0.021), bodily pain(P = 0.002) and general health(P = 0.014), with no significant difference in role emotional(P = 0.053),role physical(P = 0.517), vitality(P = 0.241), social function(P = 0.712) and mental health(P = 0.800)in SF-36 compared to Meloxicam. No adverse events were reported in the treatment group while13 adverse events happened in the control group during the study.CONCLUSION: SYXBD, prepared based on the theory of 'Shaoyang dominating bone', has a better curative efficay and safety in patients with KOA compared with Meloxicam. 3Composition-tuned oxidation levels of Pt-Re bimetallic nanoparticles for the etherification of allylic alcohols显示文摘The catalytic performance of metal nanoparticles is often affected by surfaceoxidation levels. Instead of post-synthesis oxidation/reduction, we propose anefficient method to modulate the oxidation levels by tuning the composition ofbimetallic nanoparticles. Here we report a series of Pt-Re bimetallic nanoparticlessynthesized via a facile thermal co-reduction process, with a uniform size ofapproximately 3 nm. The investigation of the growth of the Pt-Re nanoparticlessuggests that the Re atoms were enriched on the surface, as confirmed by X-rayphotoelectron spectroscopy. Furthermore, X-ray absorption spectroscopy showedthat metallic Re was decreased and high-valency ReOx species were increased inparticles with higher Re/Pt ratios. In the etherification of allylic alcohols catalyzedby Pt-Re nanoparticles of different compositions under ambient conditions,particles with higher Re/Pt ratios exhibited significantly better performances. 4Acoustics Performance Research and Analysis of Light Timber Construction Wall Elements Based on Helmholtz Metasurface显示文摘Based on the efficient sound absorption characteristics of Helmholtz resonance structures in the range of medium and low frequency acoustic waves,this paper investigates an effective solution for light timber construction walls with acoustic problems.This study takes the light timber construction wall structure as the research object.Based on the Helmholtz resonance principle,the structure design of the wall unit,impedance tube experiment and COMSOL MULTIPHYSICS simulation calculation were carried out to obtain the change rule of acoustic performance of the Helmholtz resonance wall unit structure.The research results show that the overall stability of sound insulation of the structure is improved,and the frequency range with sound transmission loss more than 50 dB in the experimental group is 640–1600 Hz,while in the control group is 500–906 Hz and 1238–1600 Hz;the sound absorption performance of the structure is obviously better than that of the ordinary structure,especially in the low frequency acoustic wave range of 100–320 Hz,the sound absorption coefficient of the experimental group is more than 0.49,while the sound absorption coefficient of the control group is less than 0.1.It is expected that these results will contribute to the optimization of the acoustic performance of light timber construction walls and have high application and popularization value.Si Chen Yuhao Zhou Sarah Mohrmann Haiyan Fu Yuying Zou Zheng Wang 2022Journal of Renewable Materials2022,10,11:1
