| 1 | Development of real-time laser-scanning system to detect tree canopy characteristics for variable-rate pesticide application显示文摘Improving pesticide application efficiency is increasingly important in orchard spraying.In this study,a laser-scanning system was designed to acquire gridding volumes of a tree to quantify the geometry characteristics of the tree canopy in real-time.A laser-scanning sensor mounted on a linear guide was utilized to measure the structure of a target tree canopy.A computer was used to receive measurement data from the laser scanner and obtain the movement distance of the laser-scanning sensor from a controller.An algorithm written with VC#program was designed to calculate gridding volumes of trees by recognizing valid measurement data from the laser scanner.Laboratory evaluations were conducted on three kinds of regular objects,and the maximum relative errors of section volumes of the cuboid,triangular prism and cylinder objects were 3.3%,7.9%and 9.4%,respectively,which illustrated that the algorithm could calculate the section volumes in different parts of the objects with high accuracy.A conifer tree and an apple tree were chosen to verify detecting accuracy of the laser-scanning system at variable speeds and grid sizes.The variation coefficients of total volumes for each kind of the tree were 0.078 and 0.041,respectively,which indicated that the laser-scanning system could be applied to provide the gridding volumes of different canopy densities in real-time with good reliability for guiding a variable-rate sprayer. | Cai Jichen Wang Xiu Song Jian Wang Songlin Yang Shuo Zhao Chunjiang | 2017 | International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2017,10,6: | 14 |
| 2 | Comparative Proteomic Analysis of Arabidopsis Mature Pollen and Germinated Pollen显示文摘Proteomic analysis was applied to generating the map of Arabidopsis mature pollen proteins and analyzing the differentially expressed proteins that are potentially involved in the regulation of Arabidopsis pollen germination.By applying 2-D electrophoresis and silver staining,we resolved 499 and 494 protein spots from protein samples extracted from pollen grains and pollen tubes,respectively.Using the matrix-assisted laser desorption ionization time-of-flight mass spectrometry method,we identified 189 distinct proteins from 213 protein spots expressed in mature pollen or pollen tubes,and 75 new identified proteins that had not been reported before in research into the Arabidopsis pollen proteome.Comparative analysis revealed that 40 protein spots exhibit reproducible significant changes between mature pollen and pollen tubes.And 21 proteins from 17 downregulated and six upregulated protein spots were identified.Functional category analysis indicated that these differentially expressed proteins mainly involved in signaling,cellular structure,transport,defense/stress responses,transcription,metabolism,and energy production.The patterns of changes at protein level suggested the important roles for energy metabolism-related proteins in pollen tube growth,accompanied by the activation of the stress response pathway and modifications to the cell wall. | Junjie Zou Lianfen Song Wenzheng Zhang Yi Wang Songlin Ruan Wei-Hua Wu | 2009 | Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2009,51,5: | 5 |

| 6 | Neutron activation analysis and Mossbauer spectroscopy research on coloring mechanism of Chinese Ru porcelain显示文摘The characteristic spectrum and its main wavelength of Ru porcelain glaze are measured by color difference instrument to determine the relations between glaze color and its main wavelength. The content of the 30 coloring elements in Ru porcelain is determined by neutron activation analysis (NAA), which showed that iron is the major coloring element. Mossbauer spectroscopy analysis shows that the iron element in the glaze exists in the form of structural iron (Fe2+, Fe3+). The quantitative relationship between the main wavelength of glaze in various colors and the relative content of structural iron (Fe2+/Fe3+) is determined. | 7 | Nitrate increases cisplatin chemosensitivity of oral squamous cell carcinoma via REDD1/AKT signaling pathway显示文摘Although cisplatin is one of the chemotherapeutics most frequently used in oral squamous cell carcinoma(OSCC)treatment,it exerts multiple side effects and poor chemosensitivity.Nitrate reportedly demonstrates several beneficial biological functions,and synthesized nitrates enhance the therapeutic efficacy of chemotherapy.However,the role of inorganic nitrate in cisplatin chemotherapy remains unclear.We therefore investigated the effect of inorganic nitrate exerted on cisplatin sensitivity in OSCC.We found that nitrate did not affect OSCC cell growth and apoptosis in OSCC cells and OSCC xenograft tumor animal studies.Cisplatin induced REDD1 expression and AKT activation in OSCC.However,nitrate could increase cisplatin chemosensitivity,reduce its REDD1 expression,and attenuate AKT signaling activation in OSCC cells.Dysregulation of high levels of REDD1,which could enhance AKT activation,was positively associated with poor prognosis in OSCC patients.Thus,reduced REDD1 expression and retarded AKT activation induced by inorganic nitrate might be a new potential approach to the sensitization of oral cancer to cisplatin treatment in the future. | Yuanyong Feng Xuedi Cao Bin Zhao Chunyan Song Baoxing Pang Liang Hu Chunmei Zhang Jinsong Wang Junqi He Songlin Wang | 2021 | Science China(Life Sciences)2021,64,11: | 2 |
