| 6 | Metalorganic chemical vapor deposition of InN quantum dots and nanostructures显示文摘Using one material system from the near infrared into the ultraviolet is an attractive goal,and may be achieved with(ln,AI,Ga)N.ThisⅢ-N material system,famous for enabling blue and white solid-state lighting,has been pushing towards longer wavelengths in more recent years.With a bandgap of about 0.7 eV,InN can emit light in the near infrared,potentially overlapping with the part of the electromagnetic spectrum currently dominated byⅢ-As andⅢ-P technology.As has been the case in these otherⅢ-V material systems,nanostructures such as quantum dots and quantum dashes provide additional benefits towards optoelectronic devices.In the case of InN,these nanostructures have been in the development stage for some time,with more recent developments allowing for InN quantum dots and dashes to be incorporated into larger device structures.This review will detail the current state of metalorganic chemical vapor deposition of InN nanostructures,focusing on how precursor choices,crystallographic orientation,and other growth parameters affect the deposition.The optical properties of InN nanostructures will also be assessed,with an eye towards the fabrication of optoelectronic devices such as light-emitting diodes,laser diodes,and photodetectors. | Caroline E.Reilly Stacia Keller Shuji Nakamura Steven P.DenBaars | 2021 | Light(Science & Applications)2021，10，8： | 1 |

| 13 | Outcomes of radical prostatectomy in a 20-year localized prostate cancer single institution series in China显示文摘The long-term survival outcomes of radical prostatectomy(RP)in Chinese prostate cancer(PCa)patients are poorly understood.We conducted a single-center,retrospective analysis of patients undergoing RP to study the prognostic value of pathological and surgical information.From April 1998 to February 2022,782 patients undergoing RP at Queen Mary Hospital of The University of Hong Kong(Hong Kong,China)were included in our study.Multivariable Cox regression analysis and Kaplan–Meier analysis with stratification were performed.The 5-year,10-year,and 15-year overall survival(OS)rates were 96.6%,86.8%,and 70.6%,respectively,while the 5-year,10-year,and 15-year PCa-specific survival(PSS)rates were 99.7%,98.6%,and 97.8%,respectively.Surgical International Society of Urological Pathology PCa grades(ISUP Grade Group)≥4 was significantly associated with poorer PSS(hazard ratio[HR]=8.52,95%confidence interval[CI]:1.42–51.25,P=0.02).Pathological T3 stage was not significantly associated with PSS or OS in our cohort.Lymph node invasion and extracapsular extension might be associated with worse PSS(HR=20.30,95%CI:1.22–336.38,P=0.04;and HR=7.29,95%CI:1.22–43.64,P=0.03,respectively).Different surgical approaches(open,laparoscopic,or robotic-assisted)had similar outcomes in terms of PSS and OS.In conclusion,we report the longest timespan follow-up of Chinese PCa patients after RP with different approaches. | Xiao-Hao Ruan Tsun Tsun Stacia Chun Da Huang Hoi-Lung Wong Brian Sze-Ho Ho Chiu-Fung Tsang Terence Chun-Ting Lai Ada Tsui-Lin Ng Rong Na James Hok-Leung Tsu | 2023 | Asian Journal of Andrology2023，25，3： | 0 |
| 14 | Oral encapsulated transforming growth factorβ1 reduces endogenous levels:Effect on inflammatory bowel disease显示文摘BACKGROUND TreXTAM®is a combination of the key regulatory cytokine transforming growth factor beta(TGFβ)and all trans retinoic acid(ATRA)microencapsulated for oral delivery to immune structures of the gut.It is in development as a novel treatment for inflammatory bowel disease(IBD).AIM To measure TGFβlevels in blood and tissue after oral administration of encapsulated TGFβ.METHODS Animals were orally administered encapsulated TGFβby gavage.Levels of drug substance in blood and in gut tissues at various times after administration were measured by ELISA.RESULTS We made the surprising discovery that oral administration of TreXTAM dramatically(approximately 50%)and significantly(P=0.025)reduced TGFβlevels in colon,but not small intestine or mesenteric lymph nodes.Similarly,levels in rat serum after 25 d of thrice weekly dosing with either TreXTAM,or microencapsulated TGFβalone(denoted as TPX6001)were significantly(P<0.01)reduced from baseline levels.When tested in the SCID mouse CD4+CD25-adoptive cell transfer(ACT)model of IBD,oral TPX6001 alone provided only a transient benefit in terms of reduced weight loss.CONCLUSION These observations suggest a negative feedback mechanism in the gut whereby local delivery of TGFβresults in reduced local and systemic levels of the active form of TGFβ.Our findings suggest potential clinical implications for use of encapsulated TGFβ,perhaps in the context of IBD and/or other instances of fibrosis and/or pathological TGFβsignaling. | Laura Hammer Stacia Furtado Edith Mathiowitz Dominick L Auci | 2020 | World Journal of Gastrointestinal Pharmacology and Therapeutics2020，11，5： | 0 |
