1喜玛拉雅嘎瓦耳地区的坡向对温带自然森林的森林成分,群落结构和土壤特性的影响(英文)显示文摘在喜玛拉雅嘎瓦耳(Garhwal Himalaya)地区,选择7种温带(1500 to 3100 m,a.s.l.)森林类型,研究不同坡面(东北,西北,东南,西南)对自然森林的森林成分、群落结构和土壤特性的影响。在每种森林中自由采样。为了阐明研究不同坡面(东北、西北、东南、西南)对天然森林的森林成分、群落结构和土壤特性的影响,利用标准统计软件计算多种指标,如,重要价值指标、Shannon-Wiener多样性指数、优势辛普森浓度、辛普森多样性指数、种均匀度和物种丰富度指数。在每种森林中采集复合土壤样品,分析土壤的物理化学特性、水分含量、持水量、pH、有机碳、磷、钾和有效氮含量。结果表明,北坡森林的总基盖度(高山栎林Quercus semecarpifolia为74.4 m2·ha-1)、优势度(长叶松林Pinus roxburghii为0.85)和树种多样(石斛蟹Quercus floribunda为1.81)均高于其他坡位森林,北坡森林土壤中的水分含量(白橡树Quercusleucotrichophora为40.8%)、持水量(藏柏Cupressus torulos为48.9%)、有机碳(雪松Cedrus deodara为3.8%)、磷(白橡树Quercus leucotrichophora为31.9 kg·ha-1)和氮(西藏长叶松林Pinus roxburghii为1.0%)均比其他坡位土壤值高。因此,北坡森林的生产力较高。C.M.Sharma N.P.Baduni Sumeet Gairola S.K.Ghildiyal Sarvesh Suyal 2010Journal of Forestry Research2010,21,3:4
2Composition and diversity of five major forest types in moist temperate climate of the western Himalayas显示文摘The present study was undertaken in five major forest types (dominated by Quercus semecarpifolia, Quercus floribunda, Acer acuminatum, Abies pindrow and Aesculus indica, respectively) between 2400 and 2850 m a.s.l. in a moist temperate forest of the Mandal-Chopta area in the Garhwal region of Uttarakhand, India. The aim was to assess the variation in composition and diversity in different vegetation layers, i.e., herb, shrub and tree, among these five forest types. Diversity indices, such as the Shannon-Wiener diversity index, density, total basal cover, Simpson’s concentration of dominance index, Simpson’s diversity index, Pielou’s equitability, species richness, species heterogeneity and β-diversity, were calculated to understand community structures. 3Regeneration dynamics of dominant tree species along an altitudinal gradient in moist temperate valley slopes of the Garhwal Himalaya显示文摘The present study was undertaken in moist temperate forest of Mandal-Chopta area in the Garhwal region of Uttarakhand, India. The aim of the present study was to understand the regeneration dynamics of the dominant tree species along an altitudinal gradient in naturally regenerating, restricted access forest. The overall regeneration status was fairly high in the study area. Most of the native canopy and undercanopy dominants had frequent reproduction and expanding populations, which suggests the stability of forest structure/composition and further expansion of dominant species. The overall regeneration of trees in the forest had a greater contribution of middle and understorey species. Because of infrequent reproduction and declining populations of some of the dominant native species viz., Abies pindrow, Alnus nepalensis and Betula alnoides, structural/compositional changes in the future are expected in respective forests dominated by them. Abies pindrow and Taxus baccata need immediate attention by forest managers for their survival in the area. 19Impacts of Bioinoculants Pseudomonas jesenii MP1 and Rhodococcus qingshengii S10107 on Chickpea (Cicer arietinum L.) Yield and Soil Nitrogen Status显示文摘Cold-adapted bioinoculants are considered as harbingers of sustainable hill agriculture. Therefore, two previously characterized psychrotolerant diazotrophs, Pseudomonas jesenii MP1 and Rhodococcus qingshengii S10107, were evaluated for their plant growthpromoting potential for chickpea (Cicer arietinum L.) grown under natural field conditions. Comparative analysis of agronomical and biochemical crop parameters revealed the irrelevance of chemical fertilizers for chickpea production;the diazotrophs alone were sufficient to fulfil the crop's nutritional requirement. However, the integrated use of bacterial strains in combination with urea at 20 kg N ha^-1 as urea was being recommended for higher crop yield and better soil nitrogen status. Quantitative polymerase chain reaction (qPCR) and denaturing gradient gel electrophoresis (DGGE)-based soil bacterial dynamics unveiled the persistence of both diazotrophs until the end of the crop maturation period without affecting the native micro-flora. 20Nurses and nursing students’knowledge regarding blood transfusion:A comparative cross-sectional study显示文摘Objective:The objective of this study is to measure and compare the knowledge of nursing students and nurses on blood transfusion in an Indian context.Materials and Methods:The present comparative,cross-sectional study enrolled 296 nurses and 177 nursing students through a purposive sampling from a medical university hospital and different nursing institutions.The data were collected in the month of June and July of year 2021,using a self-structured questionnaire.The questionnaire had two sections:Section-I contained demographic data(8 items for nurses and 5 for students)and section-II included 26 items that assessed nurses’and nursing students’knowledge on blood transfusion.Results:Findings indicated that nurses and nursing students had insufficient knowledge about blood transfusion.Nurses,however,had significantly greater total blood transfusion knowledge scores than nursing students(16.51±3.85 vs.12.10±3.28;P<0.001).The marital status(adjusted odds ratio[AOR]=0.456,95%confidence interval[CI]0.244,0.853;P=0.037),educational level(AOR=5.072,95%CI 1.982,9.634(P=0.003);AOR=6.540,95%CI 2.54,16.871;P=0.001)and work experience(AOR=0.216,95%CI 0.067,0.702[P=0.037];AOR=0.331,95%CI 0.135,0.811;P=0.013)were the significant predictors of the level of knowledge among nurses.The attendance in any educational programme on blood transfusion(AOR=0.225,95%CI:0.062,0.818;P=0.041)was a significant predictor of the level of knowledge among nursing students.Conclusion:Nurses and nursing students have unsatisfactory knowledge on blood transfusion;emphasizing the critical need for immediate and successful teaching activities in this area.Rakhi GAUR Shiv Kumar MUDGAL Neha SUYAL Suresh Kumar SHARMA Rajat AGARWAL Ritu RAJ Chaturvedi JITENDER 2022Journal of Integrative Nursing2022,4,3:0
