3D-printed dermis-specific extracellular matrix mitigates scar contraction via inducing early angiogenesis and macrophage M2 polarization显示文摘Scar contraction frequently happens in patients with deep burn injuries.Hitherto, porcine dermal extracellular matrix(dECM)has supplied microenvironments that assist in wound healing but fail to inhibit scar contraction. To overcome this drawback,we integrate dECM into three-dimensional(3D)-printed dermal analogues(PDA)to prevent scar contraction. We have developed thermally gelled,non-rheologically modified dECM powder(dECMp)inks and successfully transformed them into PDA that was endowed with a micron-scale spatial structure. The optimal crosslinked PDA exhibited desired structure, good mechanical properties as well as excellent biocompatibility. Moreover,in vivo experiments demonstrated that PDA could significantly reduced scar contraction and improved cosmetic upshots of split thickness skin grafts(STSG)than the commercially available dermal templates and STSG along. The PDA has also induced an early, intense neovascularization, and evoked a type-2-like immune response.PDA’s superior beneficial effects may attribute to their desired porous structure, the well-balanced physicochemical properties, and the preserved dermis-specific ECM cues, which collectively modulated the expression of genes such as Wnt11,ATF3,and IL1β,and influenced the crucial endogenous signalling pathways. The findings of this study suggest that PDA is a clinical translatable material that possess high potential in reducing scar contraction. | Lei Chen Zhiyong Li Yongtai Zheng Fei Zhou Jingling Zhao Qiyi Zhai Zhaoqiang Zhang Tianrun Liu Yongming Chen Shaohai Qi | 2022 | Bioactive Materials2022,7,4: | 3
Roles of hydroxyl and oxygen vacancy of CeO_(2)·xH_(2)O in Pd-catalyzed ethanol electro-oxidation显示文摘In the field of noble metal-catalyzed alcohol electro-oxidation reaction(AOR),huge attention is paid on the composition, size, facet, and structure of the metals, while the support engineering should also be emphasized.CeO_(2)has been widely used as a unique support in AOR,primarily due to its abundant oxygen vacancies(O_(v)).Herein,we report CeO_(2)·xH_(2)O nanoparticles with both massive hydroxyl groups(OH)and O_(v)remarkably enhance the catalytic activity and stability of Pd toward ethanol oxidation reaction(EOR).The CO striping experiments and density functional theory(DFT)calculations suggest that OH and O_(v)on CeO_(2)·xH_(2)O surface bring about a large downshift of Pd d-band center and a significant weakening of CO absorption on Pd.Moreover,OH and O_(v)also play synergic roles in the removal of toxic intermediates.Consequently, the important roles of OH and O_(v)of CeO_(2)·xH_(2)O are confirmed in Pd-catalyzed EOR.The facile CeO_(2)·xH_(2)O-enhanced strategy can contribute to the catalyst design for other energy conversion reactions. | Zhenyu Li Jiefei Li Zexuan Zheng Kunhong Jiang Tianrun Zheng Dongmin Wang Hang Wei Zhiming Shi Xiaotian Li Haibin Chu | 2022 | Science China Chemistry2022,65,5: | 1
Hemin-induced increase in saponin content contributes to the alleviation of osmotic and cold stress damage to Conyza blinii in a heme oxygenase 1-dependent manner显示文摘Hemin can improve the stress resistance of plants through the heme oxygenase system.Additionally, substances contained in plants, such as secondary metabolites, can improve stress resistance. However, few studies have explored the effects of hemin on secondary metabolite content. Therefore, the effects of hemin on saponin synthesis and the mechanism of plant injury relief by hemin in Conyza blinii were investigated in this study.Hemin treatment promoted plant growth and increased the antioxidant enzyme activity and saponin content of C.blinii under osmotic stress and cold stress.Further study showed that hemin could provide sufficient precursors for saponin synthesis by improving the photosynthetic capacity of C.blinii and increasing the gene expression of key enzymes in the saponin synthesis pathway, thus increasing the saponin content. Moreover, the promotion effect of hemin on saponin synthesis is dependent on heme oxygenase-1 and can be reversed by the inhibitor Zn-protoporphyrin-IX(ZnPPIX).This study revealed that hemin can increase the saponin content of C.blinii and alleviate the damage caused by abiotic stress, and it also broadened the understanding of the relationship between hemin and secondary metabolites in plant abiotic stress relief. | Tianrun ZHENG Junyi ZHAN Ming YANG Maojia WANG Wenjun SUN Zhi SHAN Hui CHEN | 2021 | Journal of Zhejiang University-Science B(Biomedicine & Biotechnology)2021,22,8: | 1
Tyrosylprotein sulfotransferase suppresses ABA signaling via sulfation of SnRK2.2/2.3/2.6显示文摘Phytohormone abscisic acid(ABA)plays vital roles in stress tolerance, while long-term overactivation of ABA signaling suppresses plant growth and development. However, the braking mechanism of ABA responses is not clear.Protein tyrosine sulfation catalyzed by tyrosylprotein sulfotransferase(TPST)is a critical post-translational modification.Through genetic screening,we identified a tpst mutant in Arabidopsis that was hypersensitive to ABA.In-depth analysis revealed that TPST could interact with and sulfate SnRK2.2/2.3/2.6,which accelerated their degradation and weakened the ABA signaling.Taken together, these findings uncovered a novel mechanism of desensitizing ABA responses via protein sulfation. | Jun Wang Chunyan Wang Tianrun Wang Shizhong Zhang Kang Yan Guodong Yang Changai Wu Chengchao Zheng Jinguang Huang | 2023 | Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2023,65,8: | 0
Dielectric evidence for possible type-Ⅱmultiferroicity in α-RuCl3显示文摘The Kitaev model in a honeycomb lattice, which has an exactly solvable spin liquid as the ground state[1],has attracted a lot of research interests.Recently,Kitaev-type interactions were discovered in several quasi-2D,honeycomb lattice compounds, such as A_2IrO_3(A=Li,Na)[2-7]and α-RuCl_3[8-15].In these compounds, both the spin-orbit coupling and electron correlations play an essential role in the emergent Mott insulator behaviors[2,16-19].Although | JiaCheng Zheng Yi Cui TianRun Li KeJing Ran JinSheng Wen WeiQiang Yu | 2018 | Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2018,61,5: | 0
