| 1 | Artemisinin, the Magic Drug Discovered from Traditional Chinese Medicine显示文摘Artemisinin and its derivatives represent the most important and influential class of drugs in the fight against malaria. Since the discovery of artemisinin in the early 1970s, the global community has made great strides in characterizing and understanding this remarkable phytochemical and its unique chemical and pharmacological properties. Today, even as artemisinin continues to serve as the foundation for antimalarial therapy, numerous challenges have surfaced in the continued application and development of this family of drugs. These challenges include the emergence of delayed treatment responses to artemisinins in malaria and efforts to apply artemisinins for non-malarial indications. Here, we provide an overview of the story of artemisinin in terms of its past, present, and future. | 3 | Capturing the hierarchically assorted modules of protein–protein interactions in the organized nucleome显示文摘Nuclear proteins are major constituents and key regulators of nucleome topological organization and manipulators of nuclear events.To decipher the global connectivity of nuclear proteins and the hierarchically organized modules of their interactions,we conducted two rounds of cross-linking mass spectrometry(XL-MS)analysis,one of which followed a quantitative double chemical cross-linking mass spectrometry(in vivo qXL-MS)workflow,and identified 24,140 unique crosslinks in total from the nuclei of soybean seedlings.This in vivo quantitative interactomics enabled the identification of 5340 crosslinks that can be converted into 1297 nuclear protein–protein interactions(PPIs),1220(94%)of which were non-confirmative(or novel)nuclear PPIs compared with those in repositories.There were 250 and 26 novel interactors of histones and the nucleolar box C/D small nucleolar ribonucleoprotein complex,respectively.Modulomic analysis of orthologous Arabidopsis PPIs produced 27 and 24 master nuclear PPI modules(NPIMs)that contain the condensate-forming protein(s)and the intrinsically disordered region–containing proteins,respectively.These NPIMs successfully captured previously reported nuclear protein complexes and nuclear bodies in the nucleus.Surprisingly,these NPIMs were hierarchically assorted into four higher-order communities in a nucleomic graph,including genome and nucleolus communities.This combinatorial pipeline of 4C quantitative interactomics and PPI network modularization revealed 17 ethylene-specific module variants that participate in a broad range of nuclear events.The pipeline was able to capture both nuclear protein complexes and nuclear bodies,construct the topological architectures of PPI modules and module variants in the nucleome,and probably map the protein compositions of biomolecular condensates. | Shuaijian Dai Shichang Liu Chen Zhou Fengchao Yu Guang Zhu Wenhao Zhang Haiteng Deng Al Burlingame Weichuan Yu Tingliang Wang Ning Li | 2023 | Molecular Plant2023,16,5: | 0 |
| 4 | Calcium carbonate promotes the formation and stability of soil macroaggregates in mining areas of China显示文摘We studied changes in the concentrations of aggregate-cementing agents after different reclamation times and with different fertilization regimes,as well as the formation mechanism of aggregates in reclaimed soil,to provide a theoretical basis for rapid reclamation of soil fertility in the subsidence area of coal mines in Shanxi Province,China.In this study,soil samples of 0–20 cm depth were collected from four fertilization treatments of a longterm experiment started in 2008:no fertilizer (CK),inorganic fertilizer (NPK),chicken manure compost (M),and50%inorganic fertilizer plus 50%chicken manure compost (MNPK).The concentrations of cementing agents and changes in soil aggregate size distribution and stability were analysed.The results showed that the formation of>2 mm aggregates,the aggregate mean weight diameter (MWD),and the proportion of>0.25 mm water-stable aggregates (WR_(0.25)) increased significantly after 6 and 11 years of reclamation.The concentration of organic cementing agents tended to increase with reclamation time,whereas free iron oxide (Fed) and free aluminium oxide(Ald) concentrations initially increased but then decreased.In general,the MNPK treatment signi?cantly increased the concentrations of organic cementing agents and CaCO_(3),and CaCO_(3) increased by 60.4%at 11 years after reclamation.Additionally,CaCO_(3) had the greatest effect on the stability of aggregates,promoting the formation of>0.25 mm aggregates and accounting for 54.4%of the variance in the proportion and stability of the aggregates.It was concluded that long-term reclamation is bene?cial for improving soil structure.The MNPK treatment was the most effective measure for increasing maize grain yield and concentration of organic cementing agents and CaCO_(3). | Junyu Xie Jianyong Gao Hanbing Cao Jiahui Li Xiang Wang Jie Zhang Huisheng Meng Jianping Hong Tingliang Li Minggang Xu | 2024 | Journal of Integrative Agriculture2024,23,3: | 0 |
| 5 | Effects of Different Harvest Periods on Seed Quality of Alpinia oxyphylla Miq.显示文摘[Objectives] To clarify the appropriate harvest period of Alpinia oxyphylla Miq. seed and improve the quality of seeds. [Methods] In this experiment,the basic parameters and germination characteristics of A. oxyphylla Miq. seeds during different harvest periods were analyzed and compared. [Results] The results showed that the A. oxyphylla Miq. fruit picking period was closely related to the seed quality,and the seed maturity was highest 100 d after the flowering of A. oxyphylla Miq.,that is,the A. oxyphylla Miq. fruit skin turned from green to yellow( yellow-green),the peel had a small number of brown spots,it was spicy enough,the fruit dry/fresh weight ratio was greater than0. 34,the seed thousand kernel weight reached 11 g or more,and the dried seed moisture content was 13. 01%. Using the TTC method,the seed viability index was determined to be 85%,and in this case,it was the best time of harvesting seed. The water permeability of A. oxyphylla Miq. seed was poor,and the seed imbibition and water absorption time was long,about 72 h. The maximum water absorption rate was about23. 71% at the imbibition and water absorption stage,and it was inferred that the A. oxyphylla Miq. seeds were hard seeds. The germination time of A. oxyphylla Miq. seeds was long,the mature A. oxyphylla Miq. seeds began to germinate on the 12 th d,and the germination rate reached 75. 56% on the 50 th d. | 6 | ShuffleNet-based comprehensive diagnosis for insulation and mechanical faults of power equipment显示文摘Despite the complicated fault mechanism of power equipment,with the increasing promotion and development of the Ubiquitous Power Internet of Things(UPIoT),the fault information of power equipment can be instantly saved,which makes possible intelligent diagnosis via fault samples.This study proposes a new method to implement comprehensive intelligent diagnosis by adopting the ShuffleNet light-weight convolution neural network(SLCNN).Considering the requirements of the UPIoT intelligent terminal,this study constructs six models,which are measured in terms of recognition accuracy,model storage,and calculation cost when applied to insulation and mechanical datasets.Compared with the existing models,the SLCNN outperforms them significantly in terms of recognition accuracy,with an accuracy of 95.77%and 99.9%in insulation and mechanical fault diagnoses,respectively.The SLCNN also demonstrates obvious advantages in other performance indicators,all of which contribute to its use in the accurate and reliable fault diagnosis of power equipment in the UPIoT context.Furthermore,through comparing feature maps,it is discovered that the aliasing degree and boundary of insulation defects are not as obvious as those of mechanical faults,which means that insulation fault diagnosis is much more difficult than mechanical fault diagnosis. | Yanxin Wang Jing Yan Qifeng Sun Yiming Zhao Tingliang Liu | 2021 | High Voltage2021,6,5: | 0 |
