1Design of a new dynamical core for global atmospheric models based on some efficient numerical methods显示文摘A careful study on the integral properties of the primitive hydrostatic balance equations for baroclinic atmosphere is carried out, and a new scheme todesign the global adiabatic model of atmospheric dynamics ispresented. This scheme includes a method of weighted equal-areamesh and a fully discrete finite difference method with quadraticand linear conservations for solving the primitive equationsystem. Using this scheme, we established a new dynamical corewith adjustable high resolution acceptable to the availablecomputer capability, which can be very stable without anyfiltering and smoothing. Especially, some important integralproperties are kept unchanged, such as the anti-symmetries of thehorizontal advection operators and the vertical convectionoperator, the mass conservation, the effective energy conservationunder the standard stratification approximation, and so on. 2Analysis of risk factors for postoperative pancreatic fistula following pancreaticoduodenectomy显示文摘AIM:To explore the morbidity and risk factors of postoperative pancreatic fistula(POPF)following pancreaticoduodenectomy.METHODS:The data from 196 consecutive patients who underwent pancreaticoduodenectomy,performed by different surgeons,in the General Hospital of the People’s Liberation Army between January 1st,2013and December 31st,2013 were retrospectively collected for analysis.The diagnoses of POPF and clinically relevant(CR)-POPF following pancreaticoduodenectomy were judged strictly by the International Study Group on Pancreatic Fistula Definition.Univariate analysis was performed to analyze the following factors:patient age,sex,body mass index(BMI),hypertension,diabetes mellitus,serum CA19-9 level,history of jaundice,serum albumin level,blood loss volume,pancreatic duct diameter,pylorus preserving pancreaticoduodenectomy,pancreatic drainage and pancreaticojejunostomy.Multivariate logistic regression analysis was used to determine the main independent risk factors for POPF.RESULTS:POPF occurred in 126(64.3%)of the patients,and the incidence of CR-POPF was 32.7%(64/196).Patient characteristics of age,sex,BMI,hypertension,diabetes mellitus,serum CA19-9 level,history of jaundice,serum albumin level,blood loss volume,pylorus preserving pancreaticoduodenectomy and pancreaticojejunostomy showed no statistical difference related to the morbidity of POPF or CR-POPF.Pancreatic duct diameter was found to be significantly correlated with POPF rates by univariate analysis and multivariate regression analysis,with a pancreatic duct diameter≤3 mm being an independent risk factor for POPF(OR=0.291;P=0.000)and CR-POPF(OR=0.399;P=0.004).The CR-POPF rate was higher in patients without external pancreatic stenting,which was found to be an independent risk factor for CR-POPF(OR=0.394;P=0.012).Among the entire patient series,there were three postoperative deaths,giving a total mortality rate of 1.5%(3/196),and the mortality associated with pancreatic fistula was 2.4%(3/126).CONCLUSION:A pancreatic duct diameter≤3 mm is an independent risk factor for POPF.External stent drainage of pancreatic secretion may reduce CR-POPF mortality and POPF severity.Qi-Yu Liu Wen-Zhi Zhang Hong-Tian Xia Jian-Jun Leng Tao Wan Bin Liang Tao Yang Jia-Hong Dong 2014World Journal of Gastroenterology2014,20,46:32
3Tectonic Evolution of the Meso-Tethys in the Western Segment of Bangonghu-Nujiang Suture Zone: Insights from Geochemistry and Geochronology of the Lagkor Tso Ophiolite显示文摘The subduction of the Bangonghu-Nujiang Meso-Tethys and the collision between the Lhasa and Qiangtang blocks were important events in the growth of the Tibetan crust. However,the timing of collision initiation and closure timing,as well as nature and structure of the Bangonghu ocean basin,are still poorly constrained. The Lagkor Tso ophiolite,located in the south of Gerze County,Tibet,is one of the most completed ophiolites preserved in the southern side of the BangonghuNujiang suture zone. This study discussed the tectonic evolution of the Bangonghu-Nujiang suture zone as revealed by the Lagkor Tso ophiolite investigated by field investigations,petrology,geochemistry,geochronology and tectonic analysis methods. We present new LA-ICP-MS zircon U-Pb and 39Ar/40 Ar ages for the Lagkor Tso ophiolite,in addition to geochemical and platinum-group element(PGE) data presented for the Lagkor Tso ophiolite in Tibet. It is suggested that the ancient Lagkor Tso oceanic basin split in Middle Jurassic(161.2 ± 2.7 Ma – 165.4 ± 3.5 Ma),and experienced a second tectonic emplacement during the Early Cretaceous(137.90 ± 6.39 Ma). The Lagkor Tso ophiolite likely developed in an independent suture zone. The Bangonghu-Nujiang ocean subducted southwards,and the dehydration of the subducting oceanic crust materials caused partial melting of the continental mantle wedge,which formed the second-order expanding center of the obduction dish. This led to inter-arc expansion,followed by the formation of inter-arc and back-arc basins with island arc features,which are represented by ophiolites around the Shiquanhe-Lagkor Tso-Yongzhu region. 4Inhibitory effects of Curcuma aromatica oil on proliferation of hepatoma in mice显示文摘AIM To reveal the inhibitory effects ofCurcuma aromatica oil(CAO)on cellproliferation of hepatoma in mice.METHODS Two tumor inhibitory experimentsof CAO on hepatoma in mice were conducted.The inhibitory effects of CAO on proliferation ofhepatoma in mice were evaluated by DNA imagecytometry and immunohistochemical staining ofproliferating cell nuclear antigen(PCNA).RESULTS The tumor inhibitory rates of CAOwere 52% and 51% in two experiments,respectively.Compared with those of the saline-treated control groups,both differences werestatistically significant(P<0.01).In the groupof mice treated with CAO,the cellular nuclearDNA OD value(249±70),areas(623 μm^2±228 μm^2)and DNA(2.38±0.67)index of hepaticcarcinomas were significantly lower than thoseof the control group(430±160,1073 μm^2±101 μm^2 and 4.48±0.71).CAO also couldincrease diploidy cell rates(29.00%±9.34% vs2.97%±5.69%,P<0.01)and decreasepentaploidy cell exceeding rate(30.04%±15.10% vs 70.89%±14.94%,P<0.01).In thegroup of mice treated with CAO,the labelingindexes of proliferating cell nuclear antigen (PCNA-LI)were 30%±4%,which weresignificantly lower than 40%±6% of the controlgroup(P<0.01).CONCLUSION The inhibition of CAO on thegrowth of hepatoma in mice might be associatedwith its depression on cellular proliferativeactivity.Wan Yin Wu Qin Xu Ling Chun Shi Wei Bin Zhang 2000World Journal of Gastroenterology2000,6,2:16
5High precision landing site mapping and rover localization for Chang'e-3 mission显示文摘This paper presents the comprehensive results of landing site topographic mapping and rover localization in Chang’e-3 mission.High-precision topographic products of the landing site with extremely high resolutions(up to 0.05 m)were generated from descent images and registered to CE-2 DOM.Local DEM and DOM with 0.02 m resolution were produced routinely at each waypoint along the rover traverse.The lander location was determined to be(19.51256°W,44.11884°N,-2615.451 m)using a method of DOM matching.In order to reduce error accumulation caused by wheel slippage and IMU drift in dead reckoning,cross-site visual localization and DOM matching localization methods were developed to localize the rover at waypoints;the overall traveled distance from the lander is 114.8 m from cross-site visual localization and 111.2 m from DOM matching localization.The latter is of highest accuracy and has been verified using a LRO NAC image where the rover trajeactory is directly identifiable.During CE-3 mission operations,landing site mapping and rover localization products including DEMs and DOMs,traverse maps,vertical traverse profiles were generated timely to support teleoperation tasks such as obstacle avoidance and rover path planning.LIU ZhaoQin DI KaiChang PENG Man WAN WenHui LIU Bin LI LiChun YU TianYi WANG BaoFeng ZHOU JianLiang CHEN HongMin 2015Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2015,58,1:15
6High-resolution 3D crustal S-wave velocity structure of the MiddleLower Yangtze River Metallogenic Belt and implications for its deep geodynamic setting显示文摘The Middle-Lower Yangtze River Metallogenic Belt(MLYMB) is an important mineral resource region in China.High-resolution crustal models can provide crucial constraints to understand the ore-forming processes and geodynamic setting in this region. Using ambient seismic noise from 107 permanent and 82 portable stations in the MLYMB and the adjacent area,we present a new high-resolution 3D S-wave velocity model of this region. We first extract 5–50 s Rayleigh wave phase velocity dispersion data by calculating ambient noise cross-correlation functions(CFs) and then use the surface wave direct inversion method to invert the mixed path travel times for the 3D S-wave velocity structure. Checkerboard tests show that the horizontal resolution of the 3D S-wave velocity model is approximately 0.5°–1.0° and that the vertical resolution decreases with increasing noise and depth. Our high-resolution 3D S-wave velocity model reveals:(1) AV-shaped high-velocity zone(HVZ) is located in the lower crust and the uppermost mantle in the study region. The western branch of the HVZ passes through the Jianghan Basin,the Qinling-Dabie orogenic belt and the Nanxiang Basin. The eastern branch, which almost completely covers the main body of the MLYMB, is located near the Tanlu Fault. The low-velocity anomalies between the western and eastern branches are located in the area of the Qinling-Dabie orogenic belt.(2) High-velocity uplifts(HVUs) are common in the crust of the MLYMB,especially in the areas near the Tanlu Fault, the Changjiang Fault and the Yangxin-Changzhou Fault. The intensities of the HVUs gradually weaken from west to east. The V-shaped HVZ in the lower crust and uppermost mantle and the HVUs in the middle and lower crust likely represent cooled mantle intrusive rocks. During the Yanshanian period, fault systems formed in the MLYMB due to the convergence between the South China Plate and the North China Plate, the multiple-direction drifting of the PaleoPacific Plate and its subduction beneath the Eurasian Plate. The dehydration of the cold oceanic crust led to partial melting in the upper mantle. Temperature differences caused strong convection of the upper mantle material that underplated the lower crust and rose to near the surface along the deep fault systems. 73-D shear wave velocity structure in the shallow crust of the Tan-Lu fault zone in Lujiang,Anhui,and adjacent areas,and its tectonic implications显示文摘The Tan-Lu fault zone is a large NNE-trending fault zone in eastern China.Investigations of the structures of the fault zone and its surrounding areas have attracted much attention.In this study,we used dense-array ambient noise tomography to construct a threedimensional shear wave velocity model of shallow crust in an area about 80km×70km in Lujiang,Anhui Province,eastern China.For approximately one month we collected continuous ambient noise signals recorded by 90 short-period seismographs in the region,and obtained the short-period Rayleigh wave empirical Green's functions between stations by the cross-correlation method;we also extracted 0.5–8 s fundamental mode Rayleigh wave group velocity and phase velocity dispersion curves.Based on the direct surface wave tomography method,we jointly inverted the group velocity and phase velocity dispersion data of all paths and obtained the 3-D shear wave velocity structure in the depth range of 0–5 km.The results revealed important geological structural features of the study area.In the north region,the sedimentary center of the Hefei Basin—the southwestern part of the Chaohu Lake—shows a significant low-velocity anomaly to a depth of at least 5 km.The southwestern and southeastern regions of the array are the eastern margin of the Dabie orogenic belt and the intrusion area of Luzong volcanic rocks,respectively,and both show obvious high-speed anomalies;the sedimentary area within the Tan-Lu fault zone(about 10 km wide)shows low-velocity anomalies.However,the volcanic rock intrusion area in the fault zone is shown as high velocity.Our shallow crustal imaging results reflect the characteristics of different structures in the study area,especially the high-speed intrusive rocks in the Tan-Lu fault zone,which were probably partially derived from the magmatic activity of Luzong volcanic basin.From the Late Cretaceous to Early Tertiary,the Tan-Lu fault zone was in a period of extensional activity;the special stress environment and the fractured fault zone morphology provided conditions for magma in the Luzong volcanic basin to intrude into the Tan-Lu fault zone in the west.Our 3-D model can also provide important information for deep resource exploration and earthquake strong ground motion simulation.Cheng Li HuaJian Yao Yuan Yang Song Luo KangDong Wang KeSong Wan Jian Wen Bin Liu 2020Earth and Planetary Physics2020,4,3:12

11Fluid–solid coupling analysis of rock pillar stability for concealed karst cave ahead of a roadway based on catastrophic theory显示文摘In order to study the mechanism of water inrush from a concealed, confined karst cave, we established a fluid–solid coupling model of water inrush from a concealed karst cave ahead of a roadway and a strength reduction method in a rock pillar for preventing water inrush based on catastrophic theory. Fluid–solid coupling effects and safety margins in a rock pillar were studied. Analysis shows that rock pillar instability, exerted by disturbance stress and seepage stress, is the process of rock pillar catastrophic destabilization induced by nonlinear extension of plastic zones in the rock pillar. Seepage flow emerges in the rock pillar for preventing water inrush, accompanied by mechanical instability of the rock pillar. Taking the accident of a confined karst cave water-inrush of Qiyi Mine as an example, by studying the safety factor of the rock pillar and the relationship between karst cave water pressure and thickness of the rock pillar,it is proposed that rock pillar thickness with a safety factor equal to 1.5 is regarded as the calculated safety thickness of the rock pillar, which should be equal to the sum of the blasthole depth, blasting disturbance depth and the calculated safety thickness of the rock pillar. The cause of the karst water inrush at Qiyi Mine is that the rock pillar was so small that it did not possess a safety margin. 13Effect of Rhizoma Polygoni Cuspidati and Ramulus Cinnamomi Compatibility on Uric Acid Metabolism and Urinary Neutrophil Gelatinase-Associated Lipocalin and Kidney Injury Molecule-1 in Rats with Hyperuricemia显示文摘Objective:To explore the effects of Rhizoma Polygoni Cuspidati and Ramulus Cinnamomicompatibility(PR) on uric acid metabolism and the expression of urinary neutrophil gelatinase-associated lipocalin(NGAL) and kidney injury molecule-1(KIM-1) in rats with hyperuricemia. Methods:Seventy male Sprague Dawley(SD) rats were randomly divided into 7 groups with 10 rats per group, including the normal group, model group, allopurinol group, benzbromarone group and PR groups at 3 doses(3.5, 7, 14 g/kg). Except the normal group, rats of the other groups were intragastrically administered 100 mg/kg hypoxanthine and 250 mg/kg ethambutol, and subcutaneously injected with 200 mg/kg potassium oxonate. All rats were continuously modeled for 17 days, and gavaged with corresponding drugs. The rats of the normal and model groups were gavaged with saline, once a day, for 2 weeks. The levels of serum uric acid(SUA), blood urea nitrogen(BUN) and creatinine(Cr) were determined. In addition, the contents of NGAL and KIM-1 in urine and the m RNA and protein expressions of xanthine oxidase(XOD) in liver of hyperuricemia rats were measured by reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction(RT-PCR) and Western blot, respectively. Moreover, the pathological changes of kidney were analyzed by hematoxylin and eosin(HE) stain method. Results:Compared with the normal group, the levels of SUA, BUN, NGAL and KIM-1 and the expressions of hepatic XOD m RNA and protein in the hyperuricemia rats were increased significantly(P<0.01). PR significantly decreased the levels of SUA, BUN, NGAL and KIM-1 and down-regulated the m RNA and protein expressions of hepatic XOD(P<0.05 or P<0.01). In addition, the pathological changes of kidney were significantly suppressed by oral administration of PR. 14A chlorinated low-bandgap small-molecule acceptor for organic solar cells with 14.1% efficiency and low energy loss显示文摘A new acceptor-donor-acceptor(A-D-A) type small-molecule acceptor NCBDT-4 Cl using chlorinated end groups is reported.This new-designed molecule demonstrates wide and efficient absorption ability in the range of 600–900 nm with a narrow optical bandgap of 1.40 eV. The device based on PBDB-T-SF:NCBDT-4 Cl shows a power conversion efficiency(PCE) of 13.1%without any post-treatment, which represents the best result for all as-cast organic solar cells(OSCs) to date. After device optimizations, the PCE was further enhanced to over 14% with a high short-circuit current density(Jsc) of 22.35 m A cm-2 and a fill-factor(FF) of 74.3%. The improved performance was attributed to the more efficient photo-electron conversion process in the optimal device. 16In vitro fluorescence displacement investigation of thyroxine transport disruption by bisphenol A显示文摘Bisphenol A (BPA) is a chemical with high production volume and wide applications in many industries.Although BPA is known as an endocrine disruptor,its toxic mechanisms have not been fully characterized.Due to its structural similarity to thyroid hormones thyroxine (T4) and triiodothyronine (T3),one possible mechanism of BPA toxicity is disruption of hormone transport by competitive binding with the transport proteins.In this study,the binding interactions of BPA,T4,and T3 with three thyroid hormone transport proteins,human serum albumin (HSA),transthyretin (TTR),and thyroxine-binding globulin (TBG) were investigated by fluorescence measurement.Using two site-specific fluorescence probes dansylamide and dansyl-L-proline,the binding constants of BPA with HSA at drug site I and site II were determined as 2.90 × 10 4 and 3.14 × 10 4 L/mol,respectively.By monitoring the intrinsic fluorescence of tryptophan,a binding constant of 4.70 × 10 3 L/mol was obtained.Similarly,by employing 8-anilino-1-naphthalenesulfonic acid as fluorescence probe,the binding affinity of BPA with TTR and TBG was measured to be 3.10 × 10 5 and 5.90 × 10 5 L/mol,respectively.In general,BPA showed lower binding affinity with the proteins than T3 did,and even lower affinity than T4.Using these binding constants,the amount of BPA which would bind to the transport proteins in human plasma was estimated.These results suggest that the concentrations of BPA commonly found in human plasma are probably not high enough to interfere with T4 transport.Jie Cao Liang-Hong Guo Bin Wan Yin Wei 2011Journal of Environmental Sciences2011,23,2:8
17Spatial Pattern Evolution and Casual Analysis of County Level Economy in Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan Urban Agglomeration, China显示文摘In order to evaluate whether or not the county units′ economy in the Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan(Chang-Zhu-Tan) Urban Agglomeration was growing as expected, this study analyzed the spatial economy pattern at county-level by using the Exploratory Spatial Data Analysis(ESDA) method. In this process, the global Moran′s I and local Getis-Ord G*i indexes were employed to analyze indicators including per capita GDP and three industrials(i.e. primary, secondary and tertiary industry) from 2000 to 2010. The results show that: 1) the county units′ economy in the Chang-Zhu-Tan Urban Agglomeration has exhibited a strong spatial autocorrelation and an accelerated integration trend since 2008(Moran′ s I increased from 0.26 to 0.56); 2) there is a significant difference in economy development between the northern and southern county units in the Chang-Zhu-Tan Urban Agglomeration: the hotspot zone with high economic level was formed among the northern county units whereas the coldspot zone with low economic level was located in the southern areas. Aqueous Li-ion batteries(ALIBs) have been widely investigated to become the most promising stationary power sources for sustainable energy such as wind and solar power. It is believed that advantages of ALIBs will overcome the limitations of the traditional organic lithium battery in virtue of the safety and environmentally friendly aqueous electrolyte. In the past decades, plentiful works have been devoted to enhance the performance of different types of ALIBs.In this review, we discuss the development of cathode, anode and electrolyte for acquiring the desired electrochemical performance of ALIBs.
