1High strength and ductility Mg-8Gd-3Y-0.5Zr alloy with bimodal structure and nano-precipitates显示文摘To resolve the strength-ductility trade-off problem for high-strength Mg alloys,we prepared a high performance Mg-8Gd-3Y-0.5 Zr(wt%)alloy with yield strength of 371 MPa,ultimate tensile strength of 419MPa and elongation of 15.8%.The processing route involves extrusion,pre-deformation and aging,which leads to a bimodal structure and nano-precipitates.Back-stress originated from the deformationincompatibility in the bimodal-structure alloy can improve ductility.In addition,dislocation density in coarse grains increased during the pre-deformation strain of 2%,and the dislocations in coarse grains can promote the formation of chain-like nano-precipitates during aging treatment.The chain-like nanoprecipitates can act as barriers for dislocations slip and the existing mobile dislocations enable good ductility.Xiaoxiao Wei Li Jin Fenghua Wang Jing Li Nan Ye Zhenyan Zhang Jie Dong 2020Journal of Materials Science & Technology2020,44,9:9
2Time-varying fault-tolerant formation tracking based cooperative control and guidance for multiple cruise missile systems under actuator failures and directed topologies显示文摘This paper studies time-varying fault-tolerant formation tracking problems for the multiple cruise missile system under directed topologies subjected to actuator failures. Firstly, the timevarying fault-tolerant formation tracking process for the multiple cruise missile system is divided into the guidance loop and the control loop. Then protocols are constructed to accomplish distributed fault-tolerant formation tracking in the guidance loop with the adaptive updating mechanism, in the condition where neither the knowledge about actuator malfunctions nor any global information of the communication topology remains available. Moreover, sufficient conditions to accomplish formation tracking are presented, and it is shown that the multiple cruise missile system can carry on the predefined time-varying fault-tolerant control (FTC) formation tracking through the active disturbances rejection controller (ADRC) and the proportion integration (PI) controller by the way of the fault-tolerant protocol utilizing the designed strategies, in the event of actuator failures. 3Dietary Leucine Requirement for Juvenile Large Yellow Croaker Pseudosciaena crocea (Richardson,1846)显示文摘Dietary leucine requirement for juvenile large yellow croaker, Pseudosciaena crocea Richardson 1846 (initial body weight 6.0 g±0.1 g) was determined using dose-response method.Six isonitogenous (crude protein 43%) and isoenergetic (19 kJ g-1) practical diets containing six levels of leucine (Diets 1-6) ranging from 1.23% to 4.80% (dry matter) were made at about 0.7% increment of leucine.Equal amino acid nitrogen was maintained by replacing leucine with glutamic acid.Triplicate groups of 60 individuals were fed to apparent satiation by hand twice daily (05:00 and 17:30).The water temperature was 26-32℃, salinity 26-30 and dissolved oxygen approximately 7 mg L-1 during the experimental period.Final weight (FW) of large yellow croaker initially increased with increasing level of dietary leucine but then decreased at further higher level of leucine.The highest FW was obtained in fish fed diet with 3.30% Leucine (Diet 4).FW of fish fed the diet with 4.80% Leucine (Diet 6) was significantly lower than those fed Diet 4.However, no significant differences were observed between the other dietary treatments.Feed efficiency (FE) and whole body composition were independent of dietary leucine contents (P>0.05).The results indicated that leucine was essential for growth of juvenile large yellow croaker.On the basis of FW, the optimum dietary leucine requirement for juvenile large yellow croaker was estimated to be 2.92% of dry matter (6.79% of dietary protein).LI Yan AI Qinghui MAI Kangsen XU Wei CHENG Zhenyan HE Zhigang 2010Journal of Ocean University of China2010,9,4:4
4Acupuncture for cerebral ischemia/reperfusion injury Does it reduce the inflammatory reaction?显示文摘BACKGROUND:Nuclear factor-κB (NF-κB), intercellular adhesion molecule-1 (ICAM-1), and vascular cell adhesion molecule-1 (VCAM-1) in brain tissue can participate in inflammatory reactions after cerebral ischemia.Acupuncture treatment for acute cerebral ischemia produces abnormal protein expression.OBJECTIVE:To investigate the effects of acupuncture on NF-κB, ICAM-1, and VCAM-1 mRNA and protein expression in the brain tissue of rats with cerebral ischemia/reperfusion injury.DESIGN, TIME AND SETTING:Randomized, controlled, animal experiments were performed at the Laboratory of Department of Neurosurgery, Xiangya Hospital, Central South University, China between December 2008 and October 2009.MATERIALS:Rabbit anti-NF-κB polyclonal antibody, rabbit anti-ICAM-1 polyclonal antibody, and rabbit anti-VCAM-1 polyclonal antibody were purchased from Santa Cruz Biotechnology, USA.METHODS:A total of 46 healthy, Sprague Dawley rats were randomly assigned to sham surgery (n=10), model (n=12), acupuncture pretreatment (n=12), and acupuncture intervention (n=12) groups.Models of middle cerebral artery occlusion were established by right common carotid artery ligation.In the acupuncture pretreatment group, rats received acupuncture for 3 consecutive days, and then models were established.In the acupuncture intervention group, rats received acupuncture for 3 consecutive days at Waiguan (SJ 5), Sanyinjiao (SP 6), and Dazhui (DU 14) acupoints following model establishment.MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES:Somatosensory asymmetry and forelimb use asymmetry were tested, as well as NF-κB, ICAM-1, and VCAM-1 mRNA and protein expression in the frontal and parietal cortex at 4, 12, 24, 48 and 72 hours following cerebral ischemia/reperfusion injury.RESULTS:Acupuncture improved neurological function and significantly decreased NF-κB, ICAM-1, and VCAM-1 mRNA and protein expression in the frontal and parietal cortex of rats with cerebral ischemia/reperfusion injury (P<0.05).CONCLUSION:Acupuncture can improve neurological function, potentially via inhibition of NF-κB, ICAM-1, and VCAM-1 mRNA and protein expression in the frontal and parietal cortex of rats with cerebral ischemia/reperfusion injury.Zhenyan Li Guangwei Zhong Sujuan Huang Yunsheng Liu Sue Wang Wei Li 2010Neural Regeneration Research2010,5,14:4
5The increased storage of suspended particulate matter in the upper water of the tropical Western Pacific during the 2015/2016 super El Nino event显示文摘The climate variability induced by the El Nino-Southern Oscillation(ENSO)cycle drives significant changes in the physical state of the tropical Western Pacific,which has important impacts on the upper ocean carbon cycle.During 2015-2016,a super El Nino event occurred in the equatorial Pacific.Suspended particulate matter(SPM)data and related environmental observations in the tropical Western Pacific were obtained during two cruses in Dec.2014 and 2015,which coincided with the early and peak stages of this super El Nino event.Compared with the marine environments in the tropical Western Pacific in Dec.2014,an obviously enhanced upwelling occurred in the Mindanao Dome region;the nitrate concentration in the euphotic zone almo st tripled;and the size,mass concentration,and volume concentration of SPM obviously increased in Dec.2015.The enhanced upwelling in the Mindanao Dome region carried cold but eutrophic water upward from the deep ocean to shallow depths,even into the euphotic zone,which disrupted the previously N-limited conditions and induced a remarkable increase in phytoplankton blooms in the euphotic zone.The se results reveal the mechanism of how nutrient-limited ecosystems in the tropical Western Pacific respond to super El Nino events.In the context of the ENSO cycle,if predicted changes in biogenic particles occur,the proportion of carbon storage in the tropical Western Pacific is estimated to be increased by more than 52%,ultimately affecting the regional and possibly even global carbon cycle.This paper highlights the prospect for long-term prediction of the impact of a super El Nino event on the global carbon cycle and has profound implications for understanding El Nino events.Wei GAO Zhenyan WANG Xuegang LI Haijun HUANG 2021Journal of Oceanology and Limnology2021,39,5:2

8Acupuncture at the San Jiao meridian affects brain stem tissue G protein content in a rat migraine model显示文摘BACKGROUND:G protein is closely associated with vasomotion.Vasomotor dysfunction accompanies migraine attack.OBJECTIVE:To investigate the effects of the San Jiao meridian acupuncture on G protein content in a rat migraine model.DESIGN,TIME AND SETTING:The present randomized grouping,cellular and molecular biological level trial was performed at the Institute of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine,Xiangya Hospital,Central South University & Key Laboratory for Tumor Proteomics of Ministry of Health between October 2003 and June 2004.MATERIALS:Forty healthy,male,Sprague Dawley rats were included in this study.The G6805-2A electro-acupuncture apparatus was a product of Shanghai Huayi Medical Instrument Factory,China.Nitroglycerin was produced by Guangzhou Mingxing Pharmaceutical Factory,China.Antibodies against inhibitory and stimulatory G proteins were purchased from Sigma Chemical Company,USA.METHODS:All 40 rats were randomly and evenly divided into 4 groups.In the blank control group,the rats remained untouched.Rats from the normal control group were subcutaneously administered 2 mL/kg physiological saline.In the model group,migraine was induced with a subcutaneous injection of 10 mg/kg nitroglycerin(5 g/L),and the rats received no further treatment.In the acupuncture-treated group,30 minutes after migraine induction,acupuncture was performed at the bilateral Waiguan(SJ 5) and Yifeng(SJ 17) points,with an acupuncture depth of 1 mm.Electric-stimulation parameters of 20 Hz for low frequency,40 Hz for high frequency,and 0.5-1.0 mA for current intensity were set.Ten acupuncture sessions were applied,with 20-minute low-frequency and 20-minute high-frequency stimulation and 3 seconds of interval time.MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES:Inhibitory and stimulatory G protein contents were detected by Western blot analysis.RESULTS:At 4 hours after migraine induction,compared with the blank control and normal control groups,stimulatory G protein concentration was significantly increased,while inhibitory G protein levels were significantly decreased in the model group(P < 0.01).In the acupuncture-treated group,both stimulatory and inhibitory G protein concentrations were significantly increased following acupuncture treatment(P < 0.01),but stimulatory G protein levels were less and the inhibitory G protein concentrations were greater compared to the model group(P < 0.01).There was no significant difference in stimulatory and inhibitory G protein levels between the blank control and normal control groups(P > 0.05).CONCLUSION:Dysfunctional G protein signal transductions in the rat brain stem may be responsible for migraine attack.Acupuncture at the San Jiao meridian ameliorates migraines by mediating the G protein signal transduction pathway.Sue Wang Wei Li Guangwei Zhong Zhenyan Li Lingbo Wen 2008Neural Regeneration Research2008,3,9:1

11Research for length change of four seasons over China in recent 47 years显示文摘Using daily temperature data from 599 Chinese weather stations during 1961-2007, the length change trends of four seasons during the past 47 years were analyzed. Results show that throughout the region, four seasons' lengths are: spring becomes shorter (?0.8 d/10yrs), summer becomes longer (3.2 d/10yrs), autumn (?0.5 d/10yrs) and winter (?1.6 d/10yrs) becomes shorter. This trend is different in spatial distribution, namely it is very obvious in northern than southern China, and also remarkable in eastern than western China. Summer change is most obvious, but autumn has little change comparatively. This trend is highly obvious in North, East, Central and South China. In the Southwest starting in the 21st century, summer becomes longer and winter shortens. The trend in the Plateau region since the 1980s is that spring becomes longer and winter shortens. The average annual temperature increased during the past 47 years, and the change of the average annual temperature precedes seasons' length. 12The mechanism of different cyanobacterial responses to glyphosate显示文摘Glyphosate, the most extensively used herbicide globally, has raised ecotoxicological concerns because it can be transported into the aquatic environment and cause adverse effects on the aquatic system. However, the functional mechanism of glyphosate on cyanobacteria are not completely disentangled. In this study, we selected six common cyanobacteria to evaluate glyphosate effects on cyanobacterial growth in monoculture experiment. Results showed that the growth of five tested cyanobacterial species were promoted under different degrees, and only Pseudanabaena was inhibited by glyphosate. In the phylogenetic tree based on gene sequences of 5-enol-pyruvylshikimate-3-phosphate synthase(EPSPS),a target for glyphosate, we found that the position of Pseudanabaena is the closest to plant,which was sensitive to glyphosate, thereby explaining the inhibitory effect of Pseudanabaena following glyphosate exposure. The primary degraded metabolites or analogs did not induce cyanobacterial growth, laterally demonstrating that glyphosate was used as a source of phosphorus to accelerate cyanobacterial growth because phosphorus levels increased in the medium of glyphosate treatment. 13Long-term case-fatality rate of nontuberculous mycobacterial disease in people living with HIV显示文摘Background:Few data are available regarding the long-term case-fatality rate(CFR)among people living with HIV(PLWH)with nontuberculous mycobacteria(NTM)disease.The aim of this study is to analyze the long-term CFR in patients with NTM disease and to identify risk factors for their death.Methods:A retrospective cohort study of 379 cases of microbiologically confirmed NTM disease in PLWH was conducted from January 1,2012,to December 31,2020,in Shanghai,China.We used Kaplan-Meier survival analysis and the log-rank test to compare the long-term CFR in patients with disseminated NTM(DNTM)and localized NTM disease.Univariate Cox proportional hazards regression analysis and a stepwise Cox proportional hazards regression model were used to estimate the predictors of long-term CFR.Results:The cohort was followed up for a median of 26 months.The total CFR was 15.7%by one year and increased to 22.6%at 5 years after the diagnosis of NTM disease.The 5-year CFR of PLWH with DNTM was significantly higher than that of PLWH with localized NTM(26.7%vs 19.6%for DNTM and localized NTM disease,respectively).Older age[hazard ratio(HR)=1.04,95%confidence interval(CI):1.02-1.06,P<0.001],comorbidity(HR=2.05,95%CI:1.21-3.49,P<0.01),DNTM(HR=2.08,95%CI:1.17-3.68,P<0.05),and HIV viral load(HR=1.32,95%CI:1.12-1.55,P<0.001)were all independent risk factors for long-term CFR.In the subgroup analysis,time to culture positivity was negatively correlated with CFR in patients with DNTM(HR=0.90,95%CI:0.82-0.98,P<0.05).Conclusions:NTM was associated with a high long-term CFR in PLWH.Further approaches to prevent NTM disease in PLWH are urgently needed.Jingjing Hu Ling Gu Yueming Shao Renfang Zhang Tangkai Qi Jianjun Sun Zhenyan Wang Wei Song Yang Tang Jiangrong Wang Shuibao Xu Junyang Yang Yinzhong Shen Li Liu Jun Chen Hongzhou Lu 2022Infectious Diseases of Poverty2022,11,1:0
14Variation of the coastal upwelling off South Java and their impact on local fishery resources显示文摘There is a vast upwelling area induced by the southeast monsoon in the waters off South Java,making the region an important fishing ground.Climate events can affect the variation of upwelling,but oceanographers have different understandings on the extent to which climate events control upwelling in this area,which leads to a lack of basis for studies on the evaluation and mechanisms of the variability of fishery resources in the region.The correlation between environmental parameters,including surface temperature(SST),chlorophyll-a(Chl-a)concentration,and climate event indices in South Java from 2003 to 2020 was analyzed.Results show that the Indian Ocean Dipole(IOD)has a greater influence on the interannual variability of upwelling intensity than ENSO.During the IOD,variations in equatorial latitudinal winds excite different types of Kelvin waves that anomalously deepen or shallow the thermocline,which is the main cause of anomalous variations in upwelling,independent of variations in the local wind field.A correlation between the interannual variability in upwelling and the annual catches was revealed,showing that climatic events indirectly affect fishery resources through upwelling effects.During positive IOD/El Niño periods,strong upwelling delivers more nutrients to the surface layer,which favors fish growth and reproduction,resulting in higher annual catches.A negative IOD/La Niña,on the other hand,leads to weaker upwelling and fewer nutrients into the surface waters.Fish tend to move in deeper waters,making traditional fishing methods less efficient and consequently lower annual catches.Chunlong WEN Zhenyan WANG Jing WANG Hongchun LI Xingyu SHI Wei GAO Haijun HUANG 2023Journal of Oceanology and Limnology2023,41,4:0
15Variations of the Eco-Hydro-Climatic Environment Response to the 2015/2016 Super El Niño Event in the Mindanao Dome Upwelling System显示文摘A super El Niño event occurred in the equatorial Pacific during 2015-2016,accompanied by considerable regional eco-hydro-climatic variations within the Mindanao Dome(MD)upwelling system in the tropical western Pacific.Using timeseries of various oceanic data from 2013 to 2017,the variability of eco-hydro-climatic conditions response to the 2015/2016 super El Niño in the upper 300 m of the MD region are analyzed in this paper.Results showed that during the 2015/2016 super El Niño event,the upwelling in the MD region was greatly enhanced compared to those before and after this El Niño event.Upwelling Rossby waves and the massive loss of surface water in the western Pacific were suggested to be the main reasons for this enhanced upwelling.De-creased precipitation caused by changes in large-scale air-sea interaction led to the increased surface salinities.Changes in the struc-tures of the thermohaline and nutrient distribution in deep waters contributed to the increased surface chlorophyll a,suggesting a po-sitive effect of El Niño on surface carbon storage in the MD region.Based on the above analysis,the synopsis mechanism illustrating the eco-hydro-climatic changing processes over the MD upwelling system responding to the El Niño event was proposed.It high-lights the prospect for the role played by El Niño in local eco-hydro-climatic effects,which has further profound implications for understanding the influence of the global climate changes on the ocean carbon cycle.GAO Wei WANG Zhenyan HUANG Haijun 2022Journal of Ocean University of China2022,21,1:0
