Numerical simulation of grooving method for floor heave control in soft rock roadway显示文摘投出方法能制止由转移最大的压力深摇包围岩石的变丑和破坏,引起为在软岩石车道的地板举的有效控制。 Sun Jin wang Lianguo 2011Mining Science and Technology2011,21,1:27
Determining areas in an inclined coal seam floor prone to water-inrush by micro-seismic monitoring显示文摘当采矿在限制含水土层上面被执行时,煤缝接地板的失败深度是必须被记住的一重要考虑。 Sun Jian Wang Lianguo Wang Zhansheng Hou Huaqiang Shen Yifeng 2011Mining Science and Technology2011,21,2:11
Ground pressure and overlying strata structure for a repeated mining face of residual coal after room and pillar mining显示文摘To investigate the abnormal ground pressures and roof control problem in fully mechanized repeated mining of residual coal after room and pillar mining, the roof fracture structural model and mechanical model were developed using numerical simulation and theoretical analysis. The roof fracture characteristics of a repeated mining face were revealed and the ground pressure law and roof supporting conditions of the repeated mining face were obtained. The results indicate that when the repeated mining face passes the residual pillars, the sudden instability causes fracturing in the main roof above the old goaf and forms an extra-large rock block above the mining face.A relatively stable ‘‘Voussoir beam' structure is formed after the advance fracturing of the main roof. When the repeated mining face passes the old goaf,as the large rock block revolves and touches gangue, the rock block will break secondarily under overburden rock loads. An example calculation was performed involving an integrated mine in Shanxi province, results showed that minimum working resistance values of support determined to be reasonable were respectively 11,412 kN and 10,743 kN when repeated mining face passed through residual pillar and goaf.On-site ground pressure monitoring results indicated that the mechanical model and support resistance calculation were reasonable.Jiang Bangyou Wang Lianguo Lu Yinlong Sun Xiaokang Jin Gan 2016International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2016,26,4:10
Numerical analysis of seepage flow characteristic of collapse column under the influence of mining显示文摘Based on the importance of fractured rock mass seepage research, in order to analyze seepage flow characteristics of collapse column under the influence of mining, a method by embedding fractured rock mass flow solid coupling relationship into FLAC3D internal flow models is presented according to fluid-solid coupling theory and strength criterion. A calculation model of numerical analysis was established, and the influences of mining pressure and plastic damage to pore water pressure and seepage vector change rule were studied. The results show that collapse column is the main channel of confined water seepage upward. The impact is not big when the workface is away from the collapse column. But when the workface is nearing a collapse column, there will be a seepage channel on a side near the workface, in which seepage vector and head are comparatively large. With workface pushing through collapse column, the seepage channel transfers to the other side of the column. In addition, when the plastic damage area within the collapse column breaks through, a 'pipeline flow' will be formed within the column, and seepage field will change remarkably and the possibility of water bursting will be greater.Ou Subei Wang Lianguo Wang Peipei Wang Zhansheng Huang Jihui Zhou Donglei 2013International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2013,23,2:9
Application of micro-seismic monitoring technology in mining engineering显示文摘Micro-seismic phenomena, occurring when rock masses are subjected to forces and failures, allow the determination of their unstable states and failure zones by analyzing micro-seismic signals. We first present the principles of micro-seismic monitoring and location, as well as an underground explosion-proof micro-seismic monitoring system. Given a practical engineering application, we describe the application of micro-seismic monitoring technology in determining the height of a 'two-zone' overburden, i.e., a caving zone and a fracture zone, the width of a coal-pillar section and the depth of failure of a floor. The workfaces monitored accomplished safe and highly efficient mining based on our micro-seismic monitoring results and provide direct proof of the reliability and validity of micro-seismic monitoring technology.Sun lian Wang Lianguo Hou Huaqiang 2012International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2012,22,1:9
Numerical simulation study on the influence of the ground stress field on the stability of roadways显示文摘We adopt the concept of generalized plane strain to model a roadway in a stress field. This can avoid limitations caused by simplifying the stress analysis as plane strain.FLAC3D was used to investigate the maximum tensile stress and displacement of a roadway in a known stress field for angles,α,between the roadway axial direction and the maximum principal stress of 0°,30°,45°,60° and 90°.This theory was applied to the analysis of an engineering case. The results indicate that stress and displacement of the surrounding rock increase as the angle,α,increases. This provides some significant guidance for a reasonable layout of roadways in a known stress field.ZHANG Hualei 2010Mining Science and Technology2010,20,5:7
Variation in the temperature field of rocks overlying a high-temperature cavity during underground coal gasification显示文摘High temperature affects rocks in a way that changes the physical and mechanical properties of them. The temperature field in rock overlying a high temperature zone has been estimated using experimental research on thermal conductivity of the overlying strata. Numerical analysis software was used to esti- mate rock thermal conductivity at different temperatures. These estimates were then used with COMSOL Multiphysics to perform a numerical analysis with the heat conduction model. The results show that rock thermal conductivity decreases as the temperature increases and that various lithologies show similar behavior. The thermal conductivity of each rock type differs from the others at a given temperature. Exact values for the temperature distribution in the overlying strata during the process of underground coal gasification are obtained from the numerical simulation. The temperature in the rock changes with the height and direction from the gasifier. Temperature gradients vary for different types of rock. This result provides an important reference for further study of the strength of overlying strata subject to the process of underground coal gasification.Luo Ji'an Wang Lianguo Tang Furong He Yan Zheng Lin 2011Mining Science and Technology2011,21,5:7
Analysis of insidious fault activation and water inrush from the mining floor显示文摘Based on the stress field distribution rule of the mining floor under abutment pressure, we have established a simplified mechanical model, which contains multiple factors relating to activation and evolution of insidious water-conductive faults. The influence of normal and shear stresses on fault activation and effective shear stress distribution in the fault plane was acquired under mining conditions.Using fracture mechanics theory to calculate the stress intensity factor of an insidious fault front, we have derived the criterion for main fault activation. Results indicate that during the whole working face advance, transpressions are exerted on fault planes twice successively in opposite directions. In most cases, the second transpression is more likely to lead to fault activation. Activation is influenced by many factors, predominant among which are: burial depth of the insidious fault, friction angle of the fault plane, face advance direction and pore water pressure. Steep fault planes are more easily activated to induce a sustained water inrush in the face.Hu Xinyu Wang Lianguo Lu Yinlong Yu Mei 2014International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2014,24,4:7
An experimental study of a yielding support for roadways constructed in deep broken soft rock under high stress显示文摘A rationally designed support for deep roadways excavated in broken soft rock under high stress was investigated. The deformation and failure characteristics and the mechanism of ''yielding support'' was studied for anchor bolts and cables. The rail roadway of the 2-501 working face in the Liyazhuang Mine of the Huozhou coal area located in Shanxi province was used for field trials. The geological conditions used there were used during the design phase. The new ''highly resistant, yielding'' support system has a core of high strength, yielding bolts and anchor cables. The field tests show that this support system adapts well to the deformation and pressure in the deep broken soft rock. The support system effectively controls damage to the roadway and ensures the long term stability of the wall rock and safe production in the coal mine. This provides a remarkable economic and social benefit and has broad prospects for fur- ther application.Lu Yinlong Wang Lianguo Zhang Bei 2011Mining Science and Technology2011,21,6:6
Roadway failure and support in a coal seam underlying a previously mined coal seam显示文摘The influence of an upper, mined coal seam on the stability of rock surrounding a roadway in a lower coal seam is examined. The technical problems of roadway control are discussed based on the geological conditions existing in the Liyazhuang Mine No.2 coal seam. The stress distribution and floor failure in the lower works after mining the upper coal is studied through numerical simulations. The failure mechanism of the roof and walls of a roadway located in the lower coal seam is described. The predicted deformation and failure of the roadway for different distances between the two coal seams are used to design two ways of supporting the lower structure. One is a combined support consisting of anchors with a joist steel tent and a combined anchor truss.A field test of the design was performed to good effect. The results have significance for the design of supports for roadways located in similar conditions.Lu Yinlong Wang Lianguo Zhang Bei 2012International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2012,22,5:5
Ground stress and its impact on the stability of the surrounding rock in the Lüliang mining area显示文摘Ground stress is the fundamental cause of deformation and failure during underground structural engi- neering. Field stress measurements in the main coal bed in the Lüliang mining area were made by the bore hole, stress relief method. From these data the ground stress distribution of the mining area was obtained. The relationship between the horizontal principal stress and the deformation and failure of a roadway is discussed with an engineering example. The results indicate that horizontal stress dominates in the shallow crust in the Lüliang mining area. Roadways at different angles to the maximum principal stress have different levels of stress concentration. This leads to a significant difference in stability of the corresponding roadways. These research results provide an important criterion for determining roadway position and direction, stope layout, and roadway support design.Wang Lianguo Lu Yinlong 2011Mining Science and Technology2011,21,5:5
Biofeedback therapy improves motor function following stroke Meta-analysis of 14 articles from Chinese Medical Institutions显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To evaluate feasibility of biofeedback therapy in China Medical Institutions to improve dysfunction following stroke. DATA SOURCE: A computer-based online search of publications was conducted using the Vip and PubMed Databases to identify publications that addressed biofeedback. The search key words included 'electromyogram', 'biofeedback', and 'stroke'. In total, 81 articles were retrieved. DATA SELECTION: Studies closely related to biofeedback, or studies with contents recently published in the same study field or in authorized journals, were included. Duplicated articles were excluded. Following full-text retrieval of selected articles, a total of 14 articles were collected, which addressed randomized, controlled trials of biofeedback therapy for dysfunction after stroke. Methodological quality was assessed for randomized, controlled trials using criteria from Cochrane reviewers’ handbook. Results were analyzed using Revman 4.2 software. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: Outcomes and evaluation indices were expressed by odds ratio (OR), weighted mean difference (WMD), and 95% confidence interval (95% CI). Potential publication bias was presented using the funnel plot. RESULTS: The study included 14 randomized, controlled trials of 1 147 patients. Following biofeedback therapy, meta-analysis results demonstrated that: (1) The total effective rate was significantly greater in the biofeedback therapy group compared with the control group [OR = 3.46, 95% CI (2.09, 5.73), P = 0.62]. (2) Electromyogram changes were better in biofeedback therapy patients compared to the control group [WMD = 22.31, 95% CI (17.19, 27.43), P < 0.001]. (3) Motor function was better in biofeedback therapy patients compared with the control group [WMD = 12.43, 95% CI (6.71, 18.16), P < 0.001]. (4) Daily living activities were better in biofeedback therapy patients compared with the con- trol group [WMD = 18.11, 95% CI (15.77, 20.44), P = 0.36]. (5) Joint range of motion was better in biofeedback therapy patients compared with the control group [WMD = 6.43, 95% CI (4.44, 8.41), P = 0.77]. Sensitivity analysis also demonstrated similar results after eliminating articles that described unknown diagnostic criteria and statistical methods. CONCLUSION: Following stroke, biofeedback therapy for dysfunction was shown to result in sig- nificant and valid outcomes, increased motor function and electromyogram values, improved joint range of motion, and improved daily living activities.Yang Tian Lianguo Kang Hongying Wang Zhenyi Liu 2010Neural Regeneration Research2010,5,7:3
Discrimination conditions and process of water-resistant key strata显示文摘Water-preservation mining is one of the most important parts of the ‘Green Mining' technology system, which can realize the effective regulation of groundwater resources by controlling strata movement, changing passive prevention and governance of water disasters to active conservation and utilization of groundwater resources and thus obtaining coal and water simultaneously in mining. The concept of water-resistant key strata further enriches the content of the key stratum theory and provides a theoretical basis for water-preservation mining. In order to realize the idea of water-resistant key strata as a guideline in the design of water-preservation mining and engineering applications, the conditions for discrimination in the process of water-resistant key strata,we have presented a mechanical model,as well as its corresponding computer program, based on a large number of theoretical analyses and field measurements,as well as on a comprehensive consideration of the position, structural stability and seepage stability of key strata.Practical engineering applications indicate that this discrimination method and its corresponding computer program on water-resistant key strata are accurate and reliable and can satisfy the actual design needs of water-preservation mining and thus have instructional importance for water-preservation mining in mining areas lacking water.WANG, Lianguo MIAO, Xiexing WU, Yu SUN, Jian YANG, Hongbo 2010Mining Science and Technology2010,20,2:2
Roadway layout for recycling residual coal pillar in room-and-pillar mining of thick coal seam显示文摘In the context of a room-and-pillar mining gob in Shanxi province in China, this paper numerically investigates the stress distribution and deformation rules of roadway surrounding rocks at various locations of residual coal pillars in room-and-pillar mining gobs using software FLAC3 D.It is found that the concentrated stress beneath coal pillars distributes in a shape of ellipse.A reasonable roadway layout is then proposed. In this design,it is indicated that roadways should be designed to avoid the supporting zones of pillars with increasing compression and take into account the roof falling and crushing in the upper gob.According to the surrounding rock deformation characteristics and mining roadway locations as well as the supporting principles of timely support, rock reinforcing, piecewise management and suiting local conditions,a new asymmetric shield supporting plan is proposed. The field surveying results show that this supporting plan can effectively control the roadway rock deformation, thus guarantee the safe and smooth construction of roadways.Jin Gan Wang Lianguo Zhang Jihua Hu Minjun Duan Ning 2015International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2015,25,5:2

Plastic zone analysis and support optimization of shallow roadway with weakly cemented soft strata显示文摘Based on a shallow roadway with weakly cemented soft strata in western China, this paper studies the range and degree of plastic zones in soft strata roadways with weak cementation. Geological radars were used to monitor the loose range and level of surrounding rocks. A mechanical model of weakly cemented roadway was established, including granular material based on the measured results. The model was then used to determine the plastic zone radium. The predicted results agree well with measured results which provide valuable theoretical references for the analysis of surrounding rock stability and support reinforcing design of weakly cemented roadways. Finally, a combined supporting scheme of whole section bolting and grouting was proposed based on the original supporting scheme. It is proved that this support plan can effectively control the deformation and plastic zone expansion of the roadway surrounding rock and thus ensure the long-term stable and safe mining.Zhang Jihua Wang Lianguo Li Qinghai Zhu Shuangshuang 2015International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2015,25,3:1
