2Geochemistry and Zircon U–Pb–Hf Isotopic Systematics of the Sanchahe Quartz Monzonite Intrusion in the North Qinling Tectonic Zone, Central China: Implications for its Petrogenesis and Tectonic Setting显示文摘The Sanchahe quartz monzonite intrusion is situated in the middle segment of the North Qinling tectonic belt, Central China mainland, and consists chiefly of sanukitoid–like and granodioritic-monzogranitic rocks. The sanukitoid–like rocks are characterized by quartz monzonites, which display higher Mg#(55.0–59.0), and enrichments in Na2 O+K2 O(7.28–8.94 %), Ni(21-2312 ppm), Cr(56-4167 ppm), Sr(553-923 ppm), Ba(912-1355 ppm) and LREE((La/Yb)N =9.47–15.3), from negative to slightly positive Eu anomalies(δEu=+0.61 to +1.10), but also depletion in Nb, Ta and Ti. The granodioritic-monzogranitic rocks diaplay various Mg#of 6.00-53.0, high Na2 O+K2 O(7.20– 8.30%), Sr(455–1081 ppm) and(La/Yb)N(27.6–47.8), with positive Eu anomalies(δEu=1.03–1.57) and depleted Nb, Ta and Ti. Laser ablation inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry(LA-ICPMS) zircon U-Pb isotopic dating reveals that the sanukitoid-like rocks were emplaced at two episodes of magmatism at 457±3 Ma and 431±2 Ma, respectively. The monzogranites were emplaced at 445±7Ma. Sanukitoid–like rocks have their εHf(t) values ranging from +0.3 to +15.1 with Hf–depleted mantle model ages of 445 to 1056 Ma, and the monzogranite shows its εHf(t) values ranging from 21.6 to +10.8 with Hf–depleted mantle model ages of 635 to 3183 Ma. Petrological, geochemical and zircon Lu –Hf isotopic features indicate that the magmatic precursor of sanukitoid–like rocks was derived from partial melting of the depleted mantle wedge materials that were metasomatized by fluids and melts related to subduction of oceanic slab, subsequently the sanukitoid magma ascended to crust level. This emplaced mantle magma caused partial melting of crustally metamorphosed sedimentary rocks, and mixing with the crustal magma, and suffered fractional crystallization, which lead to formations of quartz monzonites. However, the magmatic precursor of the granodioritic-monzogranitic rocks were derived from partial melting of subducted oceanic slab basalts. 4Resource utilization of solid waste carbide slag:a brief review of application technologies in various scenes显示文摘China is the largest producer and consumer of calcium carbide in the world.The calcium carbide industry is an indispensable industry to support the basic life of people.The huge production capacity of calcium carbide is accompanied by a large number of solid waste carbide slag.Due to the immature treatment technology of carbide slag,a large number of carbide slag are stacked on-site,resulting in land occupation,air-drying,easy take-off ash,and pollution of the environment and water resources.In China,calcium carbide is mainly used to produce acetylene and further utilized,80%of which is used to produce polyvinyl chloride(PVC).A large amount of carbide slag is not used,while only a small part is used in the traditional building materials industry,flue gas desulfurization,sewage treatment,etc.,however,the economic benefits are poor.Therefore,converting the solid waste carbide slag produced by the calcium carbide industry into high value-added CaCO3,CaCl2,CaSO4 whiskers,etc.has become a potential way to expand the development field of the calcium carbide industry and is environmentally friendly.This paper focuses on summarizing the traditional and emerging high value-added utiliza-tion technologies of carbide slag,and then introduces the application research of carbide slag in carbon emission reduction.Finally,the defects of these technologies are summarized and further research directions are prospected.This study provides basic guidance for the diversified development of efficient resource utilization of carbide slag.Graphical abstract Diversified development of calcium carbide industry,resource utilization of solid waste carbide slag and its application of carbon emission reduction have been fully reviewed.Hongxia Wang Wanyi Xu Maimoona Sharif Guangxu Cheng Zaoxiao Zhang 2022Waste Disposal and Sustainable Energy2022,4,1:3

7Direct control of store-operated calcium channels by ultrafast laser显示文摘Ca^(2+) channels are essential to cell birth,life,and death.They can be externally activated by optogenetic tools,but this requires robust introduction of exogenous optogenetic genes for expression of photosensitive proteins in biological systems.Here we present femtoSOC,a method for direct control of Ca^(2+)channels solely by ultrafast laser without the need for optogenetic tools or any other exogenous reagents.Specifically,by focusing and scanning wavelength-tuned low-power femtosecond laser pulses on the plasma membrane for multiphoton excitation,we directly induced Ca^(2+) influx in cultured cells.Mechanistic study reveals that photoexcited flavins covalently bind cysteine residues in Orai1 via thioether bonds,which facilitates Orai1 polymerization to form store-operated calcium channels(SOCs)independently of STIM1,a protein generally participating in SOC formation,enabling all-optical activation of Ca^(2+) influx and downstream signaling pathways.Moreover,we used femtoSOC to demonstrate direct neural activation both in brain slices in vitro and in intact brains of living mice in vivo in a spatiotemporal-specific manner,indicating potential utility of femtoSOC.Pan Cheng Xiaoying Tian Wanyi Tang Juan Cheng Jin Bao Haipeng Wang Sisi Zheng Youjun Wang Xunbin Wei Tunan Chen Hua Feng Tian Xue Keisuke Goda Hao He 2021Cell Research2021,31,7:2

9Development of a real time PCR assay for rapid detection of Vibrio parahaemolyticus from seafood显示文摘A real time PCR assay for the detection of Vibrio para-haemolyticus in seafood samples was developed using a novel specific target and a competitive internal ampli-fication control(IAC).The specificity of this assay was evaluated using 390 bacterial strains including V.parahaemolyticus,and other strains belonging to Vibrio and non-Vibrio species.The real time PCR assay un-ambiguously distinguished V.parahaemolyticus with a detection sensitivity of 4.8 fg per PCR with purified genomic DNA or 1 CFU per reaction by counting V.parahaemolyticus colonies.The assays of avoiding interference demonstrated that,even in the presence of 2.1μg genomic DNA or 107 CFU background bacteria,V.parahaemolyticus could still be accurately detected.In addition,the IAC was used to indicate false-negative results,and lower than 94 copies of IAC per reaction had no influence on the detection limit.Ninety-six sea-food samples were tested,of which 58(60.4%)were positive,including 3 false negative results.Conse-quently,the real time PCR assay is effective for the rapid detection of V.parahaemotyticus contaminants in seafood.Bin Liu Xiaohua He Wanyi Chen Shuijing Yu Chunlei Shi Xiujuan Zhou Jing Chen Dapeng Wang Xianming Shi 2012Protein & Cell2012,3,3:2
10Vertical Profiles of Volatile Organic Compounds in Suburban Shanghai显示文摘As Volatile Organic Compounds(VOCs)are one of the precursors of ozone,their distribution and variable concentrations are highly related to local ozone pollution control.In this study,we obtained vertical profiles of VOCs in Shanghai’s Jinshan district on 8 September and 9 September in 2016 to investigate their distribution and impact on local atmospheric oxidation in the near surface layer.Vertical samples were collected from heights between 50 m and 400 m by summa canisters using an unmanned aerial vehicle(UAV).Concentrations of VOCs(VOCs refers to the 52 species measured in this study)varied minimally below 200 m,and decreased by 21.2%from 100 m to 400 m.The concentrations of VOCs above 200 m decreased significantly in comparison to those below 200 m.The proportions of alkanes and aromatics increased from 55.2%and 30.5%to 57.3%and 33.0%,respectively.Additionally,the proportion of alkenes decreased from 13.2%to 8.4%.Toluene and m/p-xylene were the key species in the formation of SOA and ozone.Principal component analysis(PCA)revealed that the VOCs measured in this study mainly originated from industrial emissions.Yuhan LIU Hongli WANG Shengao JING Ming ZHOU Shenrong LOU Kun QU Wanyi QIU Qian WANG Shule LI Yaqin GAO Yusi LIU Xiaobing LI Zhong-Ren PENG Junhui CHEN Keding LU 2021Advances in Atmospheric Sciences2021,38,7:1

18Plasmonic response of gold film to potential perturbation显示文摘Gold film (~50 nm) serves as the working electrode to allow the electrochemical process to be monitored using surface plasmon resonance (SPR) technology. The extracted precise value of time resolved SPR signal perturbed by the non-faradic potential was investigated to study the response time of gold film under potential application. A qualitative model of the reflection and transmission spectra of gold film working as the electrochemical interface is presented. The correlation between three parameters, including thickness of gold film, incident angle and wavelength of beam, were analyzed to generate an optimized configuration for gold film to detect potential. 19Implementing the free HPV vaccination for adolescent girls aged below 14 in Shenzhen,Guangdong Province of China:experience,challenges,and lessons显示文摘Cervical cancer is a major public health concern in China,accounting for almost one-fifth of the global incidence and mortality.The recently prequalified domestic bivalent human papillomavirus(HPV)vaccine offers a practical and feasible preventive measure.In response to the global call for action,the National Health Commission issued an Action Plan to eliminate cervical cancer by 2030,with promotion of the HPV vaccination for school-aged girls as a critical step.Despite this,implementation of the vaccination has been patchy,with very low coverage among eligible girls.To address this,from December 2021 to December 2022,a demonstration project was launched in Shenzhen,Guangdong Province,to promote the inclusion of HPV vaccine in local immunisation programme and to address existing barriers to implementation.Using multiple sources of data,this article presents a case study of the demonstration project,analysing its impact on rolling out HPV vaccination among eligible girls and identifying any challenges encountered during implementation.The demonstration project has shown promising results in increasing the HPV vaccination rate,promoting public awareness and acceptance of the domestic HPV vaccine,and establishing a model for quickly scaling up the vaccination at the municipal level.The success of the project can be attributed to several factors,including strong governmental commitment,sufficient funding,multi-sectoral collaboration,ensured vaccine accessibility and affordability,improved vaccination services,and effective health education and communication strategies.Lessons learned from Shenzhen can provide valuable insights for future advocacy and implementation of the vaccination in other areas of China,but challenges must be addressed to achieve universal coverage.These include addressing vaccine hesitancy,expanding the programme to cover a broader age range,and ensuring consistent quality of vaccination services in primary care facilities.Overcoming these challenges will require innovative strategies,public-private partnerships,and sustained funding and resources.Future research should focus on evaluating the long-term effectiveness of the vaccination programme and identifying contextual factors that may impact its implementation in different settings.Overall,the effective control of cervical cancer in China will rely on the“political will”to ensure the incorporation of preventive interventions into policies and universal programme coverage.Dadong Wu Peiyi Liu Danhong Song He Wang Siqi Chen Wanyi Tang Xuelian Zhao Fanghui Zhao Yueyun Wang 2023Infectious Diseases of Poverty2023,12,5:0
