1CPT1C-mediated fatty acid oxidation facilitates colorectal cancer cell proliferation and metastasis显示文摘Fatty acid oxidation(FAO)has been proven to be an accomplice in tumor progression.Carnitine palmitoyltransferase 1C(CPT1C),a rate-limiting enzyme in FAO,mainly functions to catalyze fatty acid carnitinylation and guarantee subsequent entry into the mitochondria for FAO in colorectal cancer(CRC).Gene expression data and clinical information extracted from The Cancer Genome Atlas(TCGA)database show significantly higher expression of CPT1C in patients with metastatic CRC(P=0.005).Moreover,overexpression of CPT1C is correlated with worse relapse-free survival in CRC(HR 2.1,P=0.0006),while no statistical significance is indicated for CPT1A and CPT1B.Further experiments demonstrate that downregulation of CPT1C expression leads to a decrease in the FAO rate,suppression of cell proliferation,cell cycle arrest and repression of cell migration in CRC,whereas opposite results are obtained when CPT1C is overexpressed.Furthermore,an FAO inhibitor almost completely reverses the enhanced cell proliferation and migration induced by CPT1C overexpression.In addition,analysis of TCGA data illustrates a positive association between CPT1C expression and HIF1αlevel,suggesting that CPT1C is a transcriptional target of HIF1α.In conclusion,CPT1C overexpression indicates poor relapse-free survival of patients with CRC,and CPT1C is transcriptionally activated by HIF1α,thereby promoting the proliferation and migration of CRC cells.Jing Li Wanwei Zheng Jie Wu Jun Zhang Bin Lv Wenshuai Li Jie Liu Xin Zhang Tiansheng Huang Zhongguang Luo 2023Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2023,55,8:1
2Application of Prochloraz-nano-titanium Dioxide Complex Fresh-keeping Agent in Refrigeration of Dioscorea alata Lirm. sp.显示文摘Prochloraz diluents( 450 ×,475 ×,500 ×) were added with different concentrations of nano-titanium dioxide( Ti O2)( 0. 8%,1. 0%) respectively to prepare complex fresh-keeping agents,which were applied in the refrigeration of Dioscorea alata Lirm. sp. With rot index,weight loss rate,browning degree( BD),total soluble solids( TSS) content,malondialdehyde( MDA) content,polyphenol oxidase( PPO) activity and peroxidase( POD) activity,DPPH· scavenging rate as evaluation indexes,the preservation effect of the prepared freshkeeping agents on D. alata during the cold storage period was analyzed. The results showed that prochloraz added with nano-titanium dioxide significantly prolonged the storage life,reduced the rot rate and weight loss rate,and slowed the loss of pulp of D. alata. 3Towards robust neural networks via a global and monotonically decreasing robustness training strategy显示文摘Robustness of deep neural networks(DNNs)has caused great concerns in the academic and industrial communities,especially in safety-critical domains.Instead of verifying whether the robustness property holds or not in certain neural networks,this paper focuses on training robust neural networks with respect to given perturbations.State-of-the-art training methods,interval bound propagation(IBP)and CROWN-IBP,perform well with respect to small perturbations,but their performance declines significantly in large perturbation cases,which is termed“drawdown risk”in this paper.Specifically,drawdown risk refers to the phenomenon that IBPfamily training methods cannot provide expected robust neural networks in larger perturbation cases,as in smaller perturbation cases.To alleviate the unexpected drawdown risk,we propose a global and monotonically decreasing robustness training strategy that takes multiple perturbations into account during each training epoch(global robustness training),and the corresponding robustness losses are combined with monotonically decreasing weights(monotonically decreasing robustness training).With experimental demonstrations,our presented strategy maintains performance on small perturbations and the drawdown risk on large perturbations is alleviated to a great extent.It is also noteworthy that our training method achieves higher model accuracy than the original training methods,which means that our presented training strategy gives more balanced consideration to robustness and accuracy.Zhen LIANG Taoran WU Wanwei LIU Bai XUE Wenjing YANG Ji WANG Zhengbin PANG 2023Frontiers of Information Technology & Electronic Engineering2023,24,10:0
