1Internet of Vehicles in Big Data Era显示文摘As the rapid development of automotive telematics,modern vehicles are expected to be connected through heterogeneous radio access technologies and are able to exchange massive information with their surrounding environment. By significantly expanding the network scale and conducting both real-time and long-term information processing, the traditional Vehicular AdHoc Networks(VANETs) are evolving to the Internet of Vehicles(Io V), which promises efficient and intelligent prospect for the future transportation system. On the other hand, vehicles are not only consuming but also generating a huge amount and enormous types of data, which is referred to as Big Data. In this article, we first investigate the relationship between Io V and big data in vehicular environment, mainly on how Io V supports the transmission, storage, computing of the big data, and how Io V benefits from big data in terms of Io V characterization,performance evaluation and big data assisted communication protocol design. We then investigate the application of Io V big data in autonomous vehicles. 2Applications of terrestrial laser scanning for tunnels: a review显示文摘In recent years,the use of terrestrial laser scanning( TLS) technique in engineering surveys is gaining an increasing interest due to the advantages of non-contact,rapidity,high accuracy,and large scale. M illions of accurate 3D points( mmlevel accuracy) can be delivered by this technique with a high point density in a short time( up to 1 million points per second),which makes it a potential technique for large scale applications in engineering environments such as tunnels,bridges,and heritage buildings. Tunnels,in particular those with long lengths,create great challenges for surveyors to obtain the satisfactory scanned data. This paper presents a short history of TLS techniques used for tunnels. A general overviewof TLS techniques is given,followed by a reviewof several applications of TLS for tunnels. These applications are classified as: detecting geological features of drilling tunnels,monitoring the geometry of tunnels during excavation,making deformation measurements,and extracting features. The reviewemphasizes howTLS techniques can be used to measure various aspects of tunnels. 3Hydrothermal Synthesis of Ce-doped ZnO Heterojunction Supported on Carbon Nanofibers with High Visible Light Photocatalytic Activity显示文摘Ce/ZnO decorated carbon nanofibers(CNFs)heteroarchitectures(Ce/ZnO/CNFs)have been synthesized using electrospinning technique followed hydrothermal method,which have a high visible light photocatalytic activity.The samples were characterized by means of SEM,FTIR and XRD.The photocatalytic performance of Ce/ZnO/CNFs was tested with the methylene blue in the presence of visible light irradiation.In this work,we have analyzed the effects of Ce doping amount,initial methylene blue(MB)concentration and dosage of Ce/ZnO/CNFs on photocatalytic efficiency of the composite.The results showed that the photocatalyst containing 1.0%Ce in molarity(CZC1)obtained by autoclaving at 150℃ has the best photocatalytic degradation of MB than other as-synthesized samples.Ce/ZnO/CNFs catalysts exhibit a good stability and reusability,which would be an economical and environmentally friendly photocatalyst for various practical applications.JIAN Shaoju TIAN Zhiwei ZHANG Kaiyin DUAN Gaigai YANG Weisen JIANG Shaohua 2021Chemical Research in Chinese Universities2021,37,3:4
4Surface wave tomography on a large-scale seismic array combining ambient noise and teleseismic earthquake data显示文摘We discuss two array-based tomography methods,ambient noise tomography (ANT) and two-planewave earthquake tomography (TPWT),which are capable of taking advantage of emerging large-scale broadband seismic arrays to generate high resolution phase velocity maps,but in complementary period band:ANT at 8-40 s and TPWT at 25-100 s period.Combining these two methods generates surface wave dispersion maps from 8 to 100 s periods,which can be used to construct a 3D v S model from the surface to ~200 km depth.As an illustration,we apply the two methods to the USArray/Transportable Array.We process seismic noise data from over 1 500 stations obtained from 2005 through 2009 to produce Rayleigh wave phase velocity maps from 8 to 40 s period,and also perform TPWT using ~450 teleseismic earthquakes to obtain phase velocity maps between 25 and 100 s period.Combining dispersion maps from ANT and TPWT,we construct a 3D vS model from the surface to a depth of 160 km in the western and central USA.These surface wave tomography methods can also be applied to other rapidly growing seismic networks such as those in China.Yingjie Yang Weisen Shen Michael H. 5Understanding geographical conditions monitoring: a perspective from China显示文摘The geographical condition is a very important component of a country’s national condition,and geographical conditions monitoring(GCM)has been of great concern to the Chinese government.GCM has a close relation with‘Digital China’and is a concrete embodiment of Digital China.This paper discusses the content and classification of GCM.In accordance with application areas,GCM can be divided into fundamental monitoring,thematic monitoring,and disaster monitoring.The application areas perspective includes the content of the three other perspectives,like the monitoring elements,the monitoring scope,and the monitoring cycle and fully reflects the essence of the GCM.Fundamental monitoring mainly focuses on monitoring all of the geographical elements,which provides a basis for follow-up thematic monitoring;thematic monitoring is a special type of designated subject monitoring that concerns the public or the government;disaster monitoring focuses on the dynamic monitoring of the pre-disaster and disaster periods for natural disasters.The monitoring results will provide timely information for governments so that they can meet management or decision-making requirements.A GCM case study in the area of the Qinghai−Tibet plateau was made,and some concrete conclusions were drawn.Finally,this paper presents some thoughts on conducting GCM.Jixian Zhang Weisen Li Liang Zhai 2015International Journal of Digital Earth2015,8,1:2

7Mortality in relation to changes in physical activity in middle-aged to older Chinese:An 8-year follow-up of the Guangzhou Biobank Cohort Study显示文摘Background:Physical activity(PA)is generally encouraged.Studies from developed countries in the West have shown that maintenance of adequate PA or increasing PA are associated with lower mortality risk.It is unclear whether these associations apply to an older Chinese population.Hence,we examined the changes in PA prospectively among a middle-aged and older Chinese population over an average of 4 years and explored their subsequent mortality risks.Methods:Metabolic equivalent scores of PA among participants in the Guangzhou Biobank Cohort Study were calculated.Participants were divided into 3 groups related to PA level,and changes in PA were classified into 9 categories.Information on vital status and causes of death from March 2008 to December 2012(the first repeated examination)until December 31,2017,was obtained via record linkage with the Death Registry.Results:Of 18,104 participants aged 61.21±6.85 years(mean±SD),1461 deaths occurred within 141,417 person-years.Compared to participants who maintained moderate PA,those who decreased PA from moderate or high levels to a low level had increased risks for all-cause mortality(hazard ratio(HR)=1.47,95%confidence interval(95%CI):1.11-1.96).Participants who maintained a high level of PA(HR=0.83,95%CI:0.70-0.98)or increased PA from low to high levels(HR=0.71,95%CI:0.52-0.97)showed lower all-cause mortality risks.Those who maintained low PA levels showed a higher all-cause mortality risk,whereas those who increased their PA levels showed a non-significantly lower risk.Similar results were found for cardiovascular disease risk.Conclusion:Even at an older age,maintaining a high PA level or increasing PA from low to high levels results in lower mortality risks,suggesting that substantial health benefits might be achieved by maintaining or increasing engagement in adequate levels of PA.The increased risk of maintaining a low PA level or decreasing PA to a low level warrants the attention of public health officials and clinicians.Yingyue Huang Chaoqiang Jiang Lin Xu Weisen Zhang Feng Zhu Yali Jin Kar Keung Cheng Tai Hing Lam 2021Journal of Sport and Health Science2021,10,4:1

16Transmission Capacity Analysis for Linear VANET under Physical Model显示文摘In this study, the transmission capacity of VANETs in a highway scenario is analysed on the basis of a 1D line model and the carrier sense multiple access with collision avoidance(CSMA/CA) protocol. We describe the CSMA/CA protocol used in IEEE802.11 p from the perspective of the geometric relationship amongst simultaneous transmitters. The desired channel and interfering channels are assumed to experience the same amount of path-loss and Rayleigh fading. On the basis of the proposed model, we analyse the attempted transmission probability of each road segment and the maximum intensity of active transmitters, including their theoretical values. Then, we employ the physical model to obtain the outage probability and derive the upper bound of the transmission capacity of a VANET, which is defined as the average spatial density of successful transmissions in the network.
