1Mapping wetland changes in China between 1978 and 2008显示文摘Four wetland maps for all China have been produced,based on Landsat and CBERS-02B remote sensing data between 1978 and 2008 (1978,1990,2000 and 2008).These maps were mainly developed by manual interpretation and validated by substantial field investigation in 2009.Based on these maps,we analyzed the 2008 wetland distribution in China and discussed wetland changes and their drivers over the past 30 years.(i) There were about 324097 km 2 of wetlands in 2008,for which inland marshes or swamps were the most common wetland type (35%),with lakes (26%) second.Most of the wetlands were in Heilongjiang,Inner Mongolia,Qinghai and Tibet,occupying about 55% of the national wetland area.(ii) From 1978 to 2008,China's wetland area continually and significantly decreased,by about 33% based on changes in the wetland map.This was in sharp contrast to the increase in artificial wetlands,which increased by about 122%.Inland marshes accounted for the main loss of total wetlands from 1978 to 2000.From 2000 through 2008,riverine and lacustrine wetlands constituted the main wetland loss.Fortunately however,the rate of wetland loss decreased from 5523 to 831 km 2 /a.(iii) The change ratio of lost natural wetlands (including inland and coastal wetlands) to non-wetlands has decreased slightly over the past 30 years.From 1978 to 1990,nearly all natural wetlands (98%) lost were transformed into non-wetlands.However,the ratio declined to 86% from 1990 to 2000,and to 77% from 2000 to 2008.(iv) All Chinese provinces were divided into three groups according to patterns of wetland changes,which could relate to the driving forces of such changes.Tibet was completely different from other provinces,as it was one representative example in which there was a net wetland increase,because of global warming and decreased human activity since 1990.Increased economic development caused considerable wetland loss in most eastern provinces,and artificial wetlands increased.NIU ZhenGuo ZHANG HaiYing WANG XianWei YAO WenBo ZHOU DeMin ZHAO KuiYi ZHAO Hui LI NaNa HUANG HuaBing LI CongCong YANG Jun LIU CaiXia LIU Shuang WANG Lin LI Zhan YANG ZhenZhong QIAO Fei ZHENG YaoMin CHEN YanLei SHENG YongWei GAO XiaoHong ZHU WeiHong WANG WenQing WANG Hong WENG YongLing ZHUANG DaFang LIU JiYuan LUO ZhiCai CHENG Xiao GUO ZiQi GONG Peng 2012Chinese Science Bulletin2012,57,22:51
2LONG-TERM CREEP ASSESSMENT OF VISCOELASTIC POLYMER BY TIME-TEMPERATURE-STRESS SUPERPOSITION显示文摘Nonlinear viscoelastic creep properties of poly (methyl methacrylate) at various temperatures and stress levels were measured in short-term tests to check the applicability of time-temperature-stress superposition principle, which is the combined form of time-temperature superposition principle and time-stress superposition principle. A unified master creep compliance curve was constructed from the short-term tests by joint application of time-temperature superposition and time-stress superposition. The unified master curve establishes the creep compliance over two years, which is 4.2 decades longer than the test duration. 3TIME-TEMPERATURE-STRESS EQUIVALENCE AND ITS APPLICATION TO NONLINEAR VISCOELASTIC MATERIALS显示文摘Stress-dependence of the intrinsic time of viscoelastic materials is investigated.The influenceof stress level on the intrinsic time is considered to be similar to that of lemperature,pressure,solvent con-centration,damage and physical aging.The time-lemperature-stress equivalence principle is proposed,byemploying which,the creep curves at different temperatures and stress levels can be shifted into a mastercurve at reference temperature and stress level.Thus the long-term creep behavior of viscoelastic materials ata lower temperature and stress can be predicted from the short-term one at a higher temperature and stress.As an example,the nonlinear creep behavior of high-density polyethylene(HDPE)at room temperature isstudied using the time-temperature-stress equivalence principle presented.Luo Wenbo Yang Ting-Qing An Qunli 2001Acta Mechanica Solida Sinica2001,14,3:6
4Effect of Kovar alloy oxidized in simulated N_2/H_2O atmosphere on its sealing with glass显示文摘The effect of Kovar alloy oxidized in simulated field atmosphere on its sealing with glass was studied in this article.After Kovar plates and pins were preoxidized in N_2 with 0℃,10℃and 20℃dew points at 1000℃for different times,Fe_3O_4 and Fe_2O_3 existed in the oxidation products on Kovar surface,and the quantity of Fe_2O_3 increased with increasing dew point and oxidation time. Then they were sealed with borosilicate glass insulator at 1030℃for 20 min.The results indicated that the type and quantity of oxi- dation products would directly influence the quality of glass-to-metal seals.With the increase of oxidation products,gas bubbles in the glass insulator were more serious,the climbing height of glass along the pins was higher,and corrosion of Kovar pins caused from the molten glass was transformed from uniform to the localized.Dawei Luo Wenbo Leng Zhuoshen Shen 2008Journal of University of Science and Technology Beijing2008,15,3:5
5Single-trial ERP evidence for the three-stage scheme of facial expression processing显示文摘Using a rapid serial visual presentation paradigm, we previously showed that the average amplitudes of six event-related potential (ERP) components were affected by different categories of emotional faces. In the current study, we investigated the six discriminating components on a single-trial level to clarify whether the amplitude difference between experimental conditions results from a difference in the real variability of single-trial amplitudes or from latency jitter across trials. It is found that there were consistent amplitude differences in the single-trial P1, N170, VPP, N3, and P3 components, demonstrating that a substantial proportion of the average amplitude differences can be explained by the pure variability in amplitudes on a single-trial basis between experimental conditions. 6Microhabitat Segregation of Parapatric Frogs in the Qinling Mountains显示文摘Coexistence mechanisms for species with similar ecological traits and overlapping geographic distributions are basic questions in ecology and evolutionary biology. Specific habitat requirements often limit distribution range as well as facilitate partitioning resource utilization in ecological similar species. Understanding niche segregation and differences in microhabitat utilization can contribute to identifying coexistence mechanisms between parapatric species. Feirana quadranus and F. taihangnica are two closely related frog species with parapatric geographic ranges and an elongated contact zone within the Qinling Mountains, which is an important watershed for East Asia. Here, we analysed the difference in microhabitat utilization between the two frog species and explored the key ecological factors that induced their microhabitat differentiation based on quadrats sampled in the contact zone. Our comparison of twenty environmental variables showed that both species used microhabitats with alkalescent warm water and gentle slope conditions. The principal component analysis indicated that climate-related variables, vegetation conditions, and river width were the important factors for microhabitat utilization of these species. These findings contribute to our understanding on the coexistence mechanisms of these two related and parapatric Asian mountain frog species.
