2Machine Learning-Based Evaluation of Susceptibility to Geological Hazards in the Hengduan Mountains Region, China显示文摘The Hengduan Mountains Region(HMR) is one of the areas that experience the most frequent geological hazards in China. However, few reports are available that address the geological hazard susceptibility of the region. This study developed six machine learning models to assess the geological hazard susceptibility. The results show that areas with medium and high susceptibility to geological hazards as a whole account for almost 21% of the total area, while both are 18% when it comes to the single hazard of landslide and rockfall respectively. Medium and high geological hazard susceptibility is found in three parts of the HMR with different characteristics:(1)the central and southern parts, where the population of the region concentrates;(2) the northern part, where higher geological hazard susceptibility is found along the mountain ranges;and(3) the junction of Tibet, Yunnan, and Sichuan in the eastern part, which is prone to larger-scale geological hazards. Of all the potential influencing factors, topographic features and climatic variables act as the major driving factors behind geological hazards and elevation, slope, and precipitation are crucial indicators for geological hazard susceptibility assessment. This study developed the geological hazard susceptibility maps of the HMR and provided information for the multi-hazard risk assessment and management of the region.Jiaqi Zhao Qiang Zhang Danzhou Wang Wenhuan Wu Ruyue Yuan 2022International Journal of Disaster Risk Science2022,13,2:1
3Rational design of hydrogels for immunomodulation显示文摘The immune system protects organisms against endogenous and exogenous harm and plays a key role in tissue development, repair and regeneration.Traditional immunomodulatory biologics exhibit limitations including degradation by enzymes, short half-life and lack of targeting ability.Encapsulating or binding these biologics within biomaterials is an effective way to address these problems.Hydrogels are promising immunomodulatory materials because of their prominent biocompatibility, tuneability and versatility. However,to take advantage of these opportunities and optimize material performance,it is important to more specifically elucidate, and leverage on,how hydrogels affect and control the immune response. Here,we summarize how key physical and chemical properties of hydrogels affect the immune response. We first provide an overview of underlying steps of the host immune response upon exposure to biomaterials. Then,we discuss recent advances in immunomodulatory strategies where hydrogels play a key role through(i)physical properties including dimensionality, stiffness, porosity and topography;(ii)chemical properties including wettability, electric property and molecular presentation;and(iii)the delivery of bioactive molecules via chemical or physical cues. Thus, this review aims to build a conceptual and practical toolkit for the design of immune-instructive hydrogels capable of modulating the host immune response.Wenhuan Bu Yuanhao Wu Amir M.Ghaemmaghami Hongchen Sun Alvaro Mata 2022Regenerative Biomaterials2022,9,1:1
4Analysis of Protective Relay Allocation and Operation in 220 kV and Above AC Systems显示文摘This paper provides a comprehensive summary of the scale, allocation and operation situation of relay protection equipment of the 220 kV and above AC systems run by the State Grid Corporation of China in 2012 and 2013. It also analyzes the changing trend of the relevant indices of relay protection during the five years from 2009 to 2013. At the same time, it analyzes in detail two typical relay malfunction events in 2012 and 2013.Zhou Zexin Zhang Lie Lv Pengfei Shen Hua Wang Delin Li Yanfei Liu Yu Wu Chunliang Shen Xiaofan Yang Guosheng Wang Wenhuan Yao Xue Liu Yadong 2014Electricity2014,25,5:0
5The Role of Bottom Currents on the Morphological Development Around a Drowned Carbonate Platform,NW South China Sea显示文摘The seafloor around carbonate platforms is largely shaped and modified by downslope processes. However, the role of alongslope processes, including bottom currents,on the morphological development of carbonate platforms remains poorly understood. Here,we use high-resolution multibeam bathymetric data and two-dimensional seismic profiles to investigate the detailed sea-floor morphology around the Zhongjianbei carbonate platform(ZCP)in the northwest South China Sea.A series of depositional bodies and erosional channels are identified to the south of the ZCP and are interpreted as contourite drifts and channels resulted from the interaction between bottom currents and bathymetric features. In addition, active fluid seepages have led to the formation of widespread pockmarks on the seafloor.Importantly, the contourite channels and widespread pockmarks also show a close relationship in their distribution. We propose that the contourite channels around the ZCP are evolved from the coalescence of pockmarks under the persistent erosion of bottom currents.Based on the morphological analysis,we reconstruct the past bottom-current pathways around the ZCP that are parallel to the platform slopes and heading to the south. This study provides new insights into the formation of complex bathymetry and helps understanding how bottom currents and active fluid seepages can influence the morphological development around carbonate platforms.YU Kaiqi ALVES Tiago M LI Wei LI Shuang LI Jian ZHAO Fang WU Shiguo ZHAN Wenhuan 2022Journal of Ocean University of China2022,21,4:0
