2Whole-exome sequencing identified compound heterozygous variants in MMKS in a Chinese pedigree with Bardet-Biedl syndrome显示文摘Bardet-Biedl syndrome(BBS) is a genetically heterogeneous disorder characterized by retinal dystrophy, polydactyly, obesity,developmental delay, and renal defects. At least 21 candidate BBS-associated genes(BBS1-19, NPHP1, and IFT172) have previously been identified, and all of them play important roles in ciliary function. Here, we collected a BBS pedigree with four members and performed whole-exome sequencing on the proband. The variants were analyzed and evaluated to confirm their pathogenicity. We found compound heterozygous variants(c.1192C>T, p.Q398* and c.1175C>T, p.T392M) in MKKS in both the siblings, and these were likely to be pathogenic variants. We also found a missense variant(c.2029G>C, p.E677Q) in NPHP1 and a missense variant(c.2470C>T, p.R824C) in BBS9 in the proband only, which are variants of uncertain significance. 3Experimental and CFD investigation of flow behavior and sand erosion pattern in a horizontal pipe bend under annular flow显示文摘The internal erosion of pipelines in oil and gas storage and transportation engineering is highly risky.High gas velocity of annular flow entrained sand will cause damage to the pipelines,and may further result in thinning of the wall.If this damage lasts for a long time,it may cause pipeline leakage and cause huge economic losses and environmental problems.In this research,an experimental device for studying multiphase flow erosion is designed,including an erosion loop and an experimental elbow that can test the erosion rate.The annular flow state and pipe wall erosion morphology can also be tested by the device.The computational fluid dynamics(CFD)method is combined with the experiment to further study the annular flow erosion mechanism in the pipeline.The relationship between gas-liquid-solid distribution and erosion profile was studied.The results show that the most eroded region occurs be-tween 22.5° and 45° in the axial angle direction and between 90° and 135° in the circumferential angle direction of the elbow.The pits and deep scratches form on the surface of the sample after the sand collision.Wenshan Peng Li Ma Ping Wang Xuewen Cao Kun Xu Yichun Miao 2023Particuology2023,,4:1

6Research on the Fragment Impact Resistance of a Composite Mast显示文摘Due to the unique structural mode and material property of a composite sandwich plate, related research such as fragment impact resistance of a composite mast is short of publication and urgent in this field. In this paper, the commonly accepted sandwich core board theory was modified. Damage caused by a fragment attack was simulated onto a sandwich plate model built with solid and shell elements. It was shown that shear failure and vast matrix cracking are the main reasons for outer coat damage, and tension failure and partial matrix cracking are the cause for inner coat damage. Additionally, according to complexities in actual sea battles, different work conditions of missile attacks were set. 8Synthesis and Magnetostriction of (Ce_xTb_(1-x))_(0.5)Pr_(0.5)Fe_2 Compounds显示文摘The structural and magnetostrictive properties of (CexTb1-x)0.5Pr0.5Fe2 were investigated. Ceconcentration must exceed x=0.6 in order to obtain the pure Laves phase. The magnetostriction and anisotropy constant increase with the Tb-content in this system. The anisotropy value of PrFe2 is lower than that of isostructural DyFe2. From the X-ray step-scanned data we found that λ111 of PrFe2 is 1310x10-6.
