| 1 | Structure regulated catalytic performance of gold nanocluster-MOF nanocomposites显示文摘Atomically precise gold(Au)nanoclusters(NCs)as visible light photosensitizers supported on the substrate for photoredox catalysis have attracted considerable attentions. However, eficient control of their photocatalytic activity and long-term stability is still challenging.Herein,we report a coordination-assisted self-assembly strategy in combination with electrostatic interaction to sandwich Au2:(Capt)18(abbreviated as AU25,Capt=captopril)NCs between an inner core and an outer shell made of UiO-66,denoted as UiO-66@Au25@UiO-66.Notably,the sandwich-like nanocomposite displays significantly enhanced catalytic activity along with an excellent stability when used in the selective photocatalytic aerobic oxidation of sulfide to sulfoxide. As comparison,AU25 NCs simply located at the outer surface or insider matrix of UiO-66(short as Au2/UiO-66 and AU2s@UiO-66)show poor stability and low conversion, respectively. This structure regulated difference in the catalytic performances of three nanocomposites is assigned to the varied distribution of active sites(Au NCs)in metal-organic frameworks(MOFs).This work offers the opportunity for application of nanoclusters in catalysis, energy conversion and even biology. | Yanfei Zhu Xueying Qiu Shenlong Zhao Jun Guo Xiaofei Zhang Wenshi Zhao Yanan Shi Zhiyong Tang | 2020 | Nano Research2020,13,7: | 7 |

| 4 | Fossil Orangutan-like hominoid teeth from Late Pleistocene human site of Mulanshan cave in Chongzuo of Guangxi and implications on taxonomy and evolution of orangutan显示文摘Fossil records indicate orangutan-like hominoids have been widely distributed in south China during Pleistocene, although currently only surviving in the tropical forests of Kalimantan and Sumatra in Indonesia. This paper describes the recently discovered hominoid fossil teeth from human site of Mulanshan cave in Chongzuo of Guangxi, whose geological age is the Late Pleistocene, about 11000 yeas age based on associated mammal fauna and U-series dating. Compared with those of modern and subfossil orangutans from Indonesia, other fossil great apes from China, the hominoid teeth from Mulanshan cave are orangutan-like, but show somehow different from Indonesia's orangutans, the average sizes of cheek teeth larger and occlusal enamel wrinkles less and simpler. They are classified temporarily as the subspecies of Pongo pygmaeus weidenreichi. Concerning the variations of morphological features and dental sizes of orangutan-like teeth from southern China and neighboring northern Vietnam, different subspecies or species or genus possibly, but the key evidence is necessary to be identified. | ZHAO LingXia WANG CuiBin JIN ChangZhu QIN DaGong PAN WenShi | 2009 | Chinese Science Bulletin2009,54,21: | 1 |

| 7 | Ancient dormant virus remnant ERVW-1 drives ferroptosis via degradation of GPX4 and SLC3A2 in schizophrenia显示文摘Human endogenous retroviruses(HERVs)are remnants of retroviral infections in human germline cells from millions of years ago.Among these,ERVW-1(also known as HERV-W-ENV,ERVWE1,or ENVW)encodes the envelope protein of the HERV-W family, which contributes to the pathophysiology of schizophrenia.Additionally, neuropathological studies have revealed cell death and disruption of iron homeostasis in the brains of individuals with schizophrenia. Here, our bioinformatics analysis showed that differentially expressed genes in the human prefrontal cortex RNA microarray dataset(GSE53987)were mainly related to ferroptosis and its associated pathways.Clinical data demonstrated significantly lower expression levels of ferroptosis-related genes, particularly Glutathione peroxidase 4(GPX4)and solute carrier family 3 member 2(SLC3A2),in schizophrenia patients compared to normal controls.Further in-depth analyses revealed a significant negative correlation between ERVW-1 expression and the levels of GPX4/SLC3A2 in schizophrenia.Studies indicated that ERVW-1 increased iron levels, malondialdehyde(MDA),and transferrin receptor protein 1(TFR1)expression while decreasing glutathione(GSH)levels and triggering the loss of mitochondrial membrane potential, suggesting that ERVW-1 can induce ferroptosis.Ongoing research has shown that ERVW-1 reduced the expression of GPX4 and SLC3A2 by inhibiting their promoter activities.Moreover,Ferrostatin-1(Fer-1),the ferroptosis inhibitor, reversed the iron accumulation and mitochondrial membrane potential loss,as well as restored the expressions of ferroptosis markers GSH,MDA,and TFR1 induced by ERVW-1.In conclusion,ERVW-1 could promote ferroptosis by downregulating the expression of GPX4 and SLC3A2,revealing a novel mechanism by which ERVW-1 contributes to neuronal cell death in schizophrenia. | Dongyan Zhang Xiulin Wu Xing Xue Wenshi Li Ping Zhou Zhao Lv Kexin Zhao Fan Zhu | 2024 | Virologica Sinica2024,39,1: | 0 |
