1C-isotope composition and significance of the Sinian on the Tarim plate显示文摘samples of limestones, mudrocks shales and tillites from the Sinian in Kuluketage have been analyzed. Four formations in the Sinian belong to glacial deposits in which the differences in d 13C are distinct (14.7‰—+4.2‰). Distinctly negative d 13C excursions for three times support the view of three glacial deposits in this area suggested by previous authors, except for the durations of them. d 13C values are generally positive in the Beiyixi Formation of lower part of the Lower Sinian, representing probably the rock records of a continental rift related to break-up of the Rodinian supercontinent. There are three times of distinct excursions of d 13C curve in all strata. The first one is from positive values at the bottom to about -5‰ at the top of the Beiyixi Formation. The second one, from 0‰—3‰ in the Arletonggou Formation of upper part of the Lower Sinian to 3.4‰— 14.4‰ in the Teruiaiken Formation. 2Climate as the dominant control on C3 and C4 plant abundance in the Loess Plateau: Organic carbon isotope evidence from the last glacial-interglacial loess-soil sequences显示文摘Abundance of C3 and C4 photosynthesis plants can be inferred relatively from stable carbon isotopic composition of organic matter in soils. The samples from five sequences of the last glacial-interglacial loess-soil in the Chinese Loess Plateau have been measured for organic carbon isotopic ratios (? 13Corg). The organic carbon isotope data show that relative abundance (or biomass) of C4 plants was increased ca. 40% for each sampling site from the last glacial maximum (LGM) to Holocene optimum, and increased southeastward on the Loess Plateau during both periods of LGM and Holocene. Statistic analyses on the steady maximumδ 13Corg values of Holocene soils and modern climatic data from the Loess Plateau and Inner Mongolia indicate that the C4 plant abundance increases with increasing temperature and decreasing precipitation. The C4 plant abundance is related much closer with mean April temperature and precipitation than annual. These results lead us to deduce following conclusions. First, temperature is the major factor for control on variations in C4 plant abundance in the Loess Plateau from the last glacial to interglacial. In the absence of favorable temperature condition, both of low moisture and low atmospheric CO2 concentration are insufficient to drive an expansion of the C4 plants in the plateau. Second, ? 13Corg in the loess-paleosol sequences, as a proxy of the relative abundance of C4 plants in the Loess Plateau, could not be used as an indicator of changes in the summer monsoon intensity unless the temperature had changed without great amplitude. 3Si-DLC films deposited by a novel method equipped with a co-potential auxiliary cathode for anti-corrosion and anti-wear application显示文摘A novel DLC film deposition method was proposed to realize the deposition of DLC film on the surface of complex shaped workpiece.Meanwhile,Si-DLC film was deposited on the surface of M2 high-speed steel(HSS M2)and 304 stainless steel(304SS),and the microstructure,surface roughness,mechanical properties,corrosion resistance and tribological properties of Si-DLC films were characterized in detail.Results show that Si-DLC film at different axial positions of the auxiliary cathode possesses similar microstructure,film thickness and surface roughness,and the as-deposited Si-DLC film shows the low intrinsic stress of<0.3 GPa.Compared with the 304SS substrate,the Si-DLC film presents more noble corrosion potential,lower corrosion current density and higher polarization resistance,exhibiting higher corrosion resistance.Moreover,the Si-DLC film exhibits higher hardness,elastic factor and plastic factor than HSS M2 substrate and the corresponding adhesive strength is more than 10 N.The Si-DLC film sliding against GCr15 steel ball shows a lower friction coefficient than that of HSS M2 substrate and the wear rate of GCr15 steel ball sliding against the Si-DLC is lower than that of HSS M2 substrate.In addition,this novel method was used to deposit Si-DLC film on gears,drills and bearings without rotating sample racks.As a consequence,this method possesses great potential and can be generalized for the deposition of DLC film on the surface of complex shape workpiece.Xubing Wei Shaomiao Shi Chuangming Ning Zhibin Lu Guangan Zhang 2022Journal of Materials Science & Technology2022,,14:4
4STUDY ON RECIPROCATING SEALS FOR A LARGER DIAMETER AXIAL PISTON显示文摘Sealing performance of the reciprocating seals on a larger diameter (100 mm in diameter ) axial piston is theoretically investigated.Based on the characteristics of the clearance flow between the seal and the piston, reasonable boundary conditions for Navier-Stokes equations are determined and the equations are modified, so that the final equations can describe the real flow state of the clearance flow.Through combining the final equations with finite element method, the pressure distributions within the clearance field during the reciprocating motion of the piston and the leakage rate with the pressure are studied.The deflections of the seal which affect sealing performance are calculated as well.Sealing performance of piston seals using oil as the working liquid is compared with using water.It is concluded that the seal using water as the working liquid is under dry friction, which cannot be dealt with the theory of fluid mechanics.The seal structure is only acceptable using oil as the working liquid..YangJian YangHuayong XuBing 2004Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2004,17,1:2
5Carbon isotopic record from Upper Devonian carbonates at Dongcun in Guilin, southern China, supporting the worldwide pattern of carbon isotope excursions during Frasnian-Famennian transition显示文摘Two positive δ13C excursions are presented in records from the Frasnian-Famennian (F-F) marine carbonate sediments in Europe, America, Africa, and Australia, having been considered as a worldwide pattern, and attributed to enhanced organic carbon burial during the F-F biological mass extinction. However, this worldwide pattern has not been revealed from the well-deposited Late Devonian sequences in southern China. In this paper, a detailed investigation has been made on the Late Devonian section at Dongcun, Guilin, southern China to constrain perturbations in δ13C of carbonates in the F-F deposited sequence. The result from this section also indicates two positive δ13C excursions during the F-F transition. The first excursion with an amplitude of 1.5‰ occurred at the bottom of linguiformis Zone, later than the early excursion existing in the Late rhenana Zone of the Late Devonian profiles in other continents, especially, in central Europe. This difference has been expected to be a result as conodont Palmatolepis linguiformis occurred earlier in southern China than other sites. The second excursion with an amplitude of 2.1‰ is located at the F-F boundary, same as the records from other continents. 6A manifold approach to generating iso-scallop trajectories in three-axis machining显示文摘A novel approach of iso-scallop trajectory generation for smooth manifold surfaces has been developed. Firstly,by defining homeomorphism mapping relations and differentiable structures,the smooth manifold surface is mapped into several Euclidean planes,thus its trajectory generation can be decomposed into planar curve-filling tasks. Secondly,in the generation of direction-parallel trajectories,the calculation of the cutting interval and the curvature is given,depending on the generation of the first curve in the projection view. Thirdly,after automatic adherences of inverse projection curves,the filled curves are mapped into the original surface inversely to form trajectories. Although the required trajectories are iso-scallop,the trajectory intervals are variable according to the curvature changes at the projection point,which is advantageous to improving the trajectory quality. The proposed approach has appealing merits of dimensionality reduction,which decreases the algorithm complexity. 11Ferroelectricity in dopant-free HfO_(2) thin films prepared by pulsed laser deposition显示文摘As a high-k material,hafnium oxide(HfO_(2))has been used in gate dielectrics for decades.Since the discovery of polar phase in Si-doped HfO_(2) films,chemical doping has been widely demonstrated as an effective approach to stabilize the ferroelectric phase in HfO_(2) based thin films.However,the extra capping layer deposition,post-growth annealing and wake-up effect are usually required to arouse the ferroelectricity in HfO_(2) based thin films,resulting in the increase of complexity for sample synthesis and the impediment of device application.In this study,the ferroelectricity is observed in non-capped dopant-free HfO_(2) thin films prepared by pulsed laser deposition(PLD)without post-growth annealing.By adjusting the deposited temperature,oxygen pressure and thickness,the maximum polarization up to 14.7 m C/cm^(2) was obtained in 7.4 nm-thick film.The fraction of orthorhombic phase,concentrations of defects and size effects are considered as possible mechanisms for the influences of ferroelectric prop-erties.This study indicates that PLD is an effective technique to fabricate high-quality ferroelectric HfO_(2) thin films in the absence of chemical doping,capping layer deposition and post-growth annealing,which may boost the process of nonvolatile memory device application.Yongjian Luo Zhenxun Tang Xiaozhe Yin Chao Chen Zhen Fan Minghui Qin Min Zeng Guofu Zhou Xingsen Gao Xubing Lu Jiyan Dai Deyang Chen Jun-Ming Liu 2022Journal of Materiomics2022,8,2:1

14Enhanced ferroelectric polarization with less wake-up effect and improved endurance of Hf_(0.5)Zr_(0.5)O_(2)thin films by implementing W electrode显示文摘This paper reports the improvement of electrical,ferroelectric and endurance of Hf_(0.5)Zr_(0.5)O_(2)(HZO)thinfilm capacitors by implementing W electrode.The W/HZO/W capacitor shows excellent pristine 2 P_(r)values of 45.1 gC/cm^(2)at±6 V,which are much higher than those of TiN/HZO/W(34.4μC/cm^(2))and W/HZO/TiN(26.9μC/cm^(2))capacitors.Notably,the maximum initial 2 P_(r)value of W/HZO/W capacitor can reach as high as 57.9μC/cm^(2)at±7.5 V.These strong ferroelectric polarization effects are ascribed to the W electrode with a fairly low thermal expansion coefficient which provides a larger in-plane tensile strain compared with TiN electrode,allowing for enhancement of o-phase formation.Moreover,the W/HZO/W capacitor also exhibits higher endurance,smaller wake-up effect(10.1%)and superior fatigue properties up to 1.5×10^(10)cycles compared to the TiN/HZO/W and W/HZO/TiN capacitors.Such improvements of W/HZO/W capacitor are mainly due to the decreased leakage current by more than an order of magnitude compared to the W/HZO/TiN capacitor.These results demonstrate that capping electrode material plays an important role in the enhancement of o-phase formation,reduces oxygen vacancies,mitigates wake-up effect and improves reliability.Dao Wang Yan Zhang Jiali Wang Chunlai Luo Ming Li Wentao Shuai Ruiqiang Tao Zhen Fan Deyang Chen Min Zeng Jiyan Y.Dai Xubing B.Lu J-M.Liu 2022Journal of Materials Science & Technology2022,,9:1

17Pathological significance and regulatory mechanism of lymphotoxin β receptor overexpression in T cells of patients with systemic lupus erythematosus显示文摘Systemic lupus erythematosus(SLE) is a typical autoimmune disease. Lymphotoxin β receptor(LTβR) signaling plays an important role in autoimmune inflammations. LTβR-Ig fusion protein, LTβR blocking agent, has been used to treat SLE, while its mechanism remains to be fully elucidated. In this study, to investigate the expression of LTβR in the T cells of SLE patients and its roles in the pathogenesis of SLE, we isolated the peripheral blood T cells of SLE patients and normal controls to detect expression of LTβR by flow cytometry and RNA assay. T cells were also stimulated with LIGHT, a ligand of LTβR, and then detected for their LTβR expressions and apoptosis by flow cytometry. Also, their expressions of inflammatory factors and receptors were determined by RNA assay. The results showed that LTβR positive cells were 22.75%±6.98% in CD3^+ cells of SLE patients, while there were almost no LTβR positive cells in CD3^+ cells of normal persons. Moreover, LTβR expression was remarkably higher in CD3,CD4 and CD8 positive T cells of active SLE patients than non/low active patients(all P<0.05), and positively correlated with increased Ig level, decreased complement level and renal damage. Moreover, the stimulation of SLE T cells with LIGHT promoted higher expression of LTβR, IL-23 R and IL-17 A, and apoptosis of T cells.
