5A non-opioid pathway for dynorphin-caused spinal cord injury in rats显示文摘Intrathecal injection of dynorphin into rats via subarachnoid catheter induces damage to spinal cord tissue and motor function. Injection of the kappa opioid receptor antagonist nor-binaltorphine, or the excitatory amino acid N-methyl-D-aspartate receptor antagonist MK-801 into rats alleviated the pathological changes of dynorphin-caused spinal cord tissue injury and reduced the acid phosphatase activity in the spinal cord. The experimental findings indicate that there are opioid and non-opioid pathways for dynorphin-induced spinal cord injury, and that the non-opioid receptor pathway may be mediated by the excitatory amino acid N-methyl-D-aspartate receptor.Yu Chen Liangbi Xiang Jun Liu Dapeng Zhou Hailong Yu Qi Wang Wenfeng Han Mingming Guo 2012Neural Regeneration Research2012,7,11:1
6Differences between laminar convections through parallel plain planes with uniform wall temperature and heat flux in terms of process parameter显示文摘Using the process parameter description,we analyzed the difference between the characteristics of laminar convections through parallel plain planes with uniform temperature and heat flux. The results show the following.(1)On the wall surface of the developing region, under uniform heat flux boundary condition, the heat flux normal to the wall surface is transported through a convection process although the velocity is zero;the velocity gradient contributes to this transport, but under uniform temperature boundary condition, the heat flux normal to the wall surface is transported through a difussion process.(2)Inside the flow of the developing region, whether under uniform temperature or heat flux boundary condition, the heat flux along the main flow direction and the heat flux normal to the wall surface are transported through a convection process, and the contributions of velocity and velocity gradient are dependent on the thermal boundary condition.(3)On the wall surface of the fully developed region, under uniform heat flux boundary condition, the heat flux normal to the wall surface is transported through a convection process;the velocity gradient contributes to this transport, but under uniform temperature boundary condition, the heat flux normal to the wall surface is transported through a diffusion process.(4)Inside the flow of the fully developed region, under uniform temperature boundary condition, the heat flux along the main flow direction and the heat flux normal to the wall surface are transported through a convection process, and the velocity and velocity gradient contribute to these transports;under uniform heat flux boundary condition, the heat flux along the main flow direction and the heat flux normal to the wall surface are transported through a convection process.Furthermore, the transport of the heat flux along the main flow direction is a no-net convection process;the velocity gradient contributes to the transport of the heat flux only in the normal direction of the wall surface.(5)Simply because the maximum velocity gradient component on the wall surface contributes to the transport of the heat flux normal to the wall surface under uniform heat flux boundary condition,it does not contribute to this transport under uniform temperature boundary condition;thus, the heat transfer intensity under uniform heat flux boundary condition is stronger than that under uniform temperature boundary condition.WANG LiangBi,LIN ZhiMin,WU Xiang&SONG KeWei School of Mechatronic Engineering,Lanzhou Jiaotong University,Lanzhou 730070,China 2010Science China(Technological Sciences)2010,53,3:0
7Kappa opioid receptor antagonist and N-methyl-D-aspartate receptor antagonist affect dynorphin-induced spinal cord electrophysiologic impairment显示文摘The latencies of motor-and somatosensory-evoked potentials were prolonged to different degrees, and wave amplitude was obviously decreased, after injection of dynorphin into the rat subarachnoid cavity. The wave amplitude and latencies of motor-and somatosensory-evoked potentials were significantly recovered at 7 and 14 days after combined injection of dynorphin and either the kappa opioid receptor antagonist nor-binaltorphimine or the N-methyl-D-aspartate receptor antagonist MK-801. The wave amplitude and latency were similar in rats after combined injection of dynorphin and nor-binaltorphimine or MK-801. These results suggest that intrathecal injection of dynorphin causes damage to spinal cord function. Prevention of N-methyl-D-aspartate receptor or kappa receptor activation lessened the injury to spinal cord function induced by dynorphin.Yu Chen Liangbi Xiang Jun Liu Dapeng Zhou Hailong Yu Qi Wang Wenfeng Han Weijian Ren 2012Neural Regeneration Research2012,7,7:0
8Chondroitinase ABC improves recovery of long sciatic nerve defects显示文摘Sciatic nerves from allogeneic Sprague-Dawley rats were pretreated with chondroitinase ABC and were used to bridge damaged sciatic nerves in Wistar rats. Chondroitin sulfate proteoglycans were removed from the chemically extracted acellular nerves. At 3 months after grafting, the footplate pinch test result was positive in the Wistar rats. Autotomy scores decreased, and increased muscular contraction tension appeared when triceps surae muscles were stimulated. In addition, the recovery rate of wet triceps surae muscle weight increased, and the distal segment of the chondroitinase ABC-treated graft exhibited Schwann cells next to the nerve fibers. These results suggested that chondroitinase ABC pretreatment enhanced repair of long nerve defects via acellular nerve grafting.Hailong Yu Liangbi Xiang Wenjing Xu Bin Zhao Yu Wang Jiang Peng Shibi Lu 2012Neural Regeneration Research2012,7,1:0
