1Effects of key design parameters of tine furrow opener on soil seedbed properties显示文摘The structural parameters of tine furrow openers have significant effects on soil property of seed furrow in no-till planting,thereby affecting crop growth and yields.In order to analyze the effects of key parameters of tine furrow openers on soil properties(soil bulk density,soil water-stable aggregates(WSA),and soil disturbance)of the surface soil layer of 0-10 cm and surface straw disturbance,the tine furrow openers with different structural parameters,including cutting edge thickness,cutting edge curve,penetration clearance angle and rake angle,were designed and tested under no-till conditions.Orthogonal test and single factor test were performed to analyze the effects of different parameters.Results showed that the rake angle,cutting edge thickness and cutting edge curve had significant effects on cross-sectional area of furrow(Af)and disturbance of surface straw;the rake angle had a significant effect on soil bulk density.Soil types and operating depth had significant effects on soil disturbance caused by tine furrow openers.The concave type tine furrow opener produced the lowest soil disturbance and soil bulk density of seed furrow,the highest surface straw disturbance and the greatest content of WSA(>0.5 mm).With increasing rake angles of tine furrow opener,the width of seedbed(Wsb)and the Af decreased first and then increased,respectively,while the width of soil throw(Wst)and the height of ridge(Hr)increased.The Wsb and Af created by tine furrow opener with 60°rake angle were significantly lower than that with others,respectively.The tine furrow opener with rake angle ranged from 45°to 60°created the lowest soil bulk density.As the penetration clearance angle increased,the content of WSA(>0.5 mm)decreased,but the effect of penetration clearance angle on the content of WSA(<0.5 mm)was not significant.The cutting edge thickness(<2 mm)had no significant effects on soil properties of seedbed.This study could provide a reference for optimal design of the tine furrow opener to create more suitable seedbed environment,and promote the application of the light no-till planters.Zhang Xiangcai Li Hongwen Du Ruicheng Ma Shaochun He Jin Wang Qingjie Chen Wanzhi Zheng Zhiqi Zhang Zhiqiang 2016International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2016,9,3:7
2Design and Experiment of ф-type-knots Knotters on Chinese Small Square Balers显示文摘Since the knotters on the Chinese rectangular balers are imported from outside of the country,Chinese knotters with independent intellectual property rights is far away from being closed.In order to harvest a large quantity of straw in a short period on the small-scale lands of China,basic requirements on the knotters are summarized.Mathematical model of the knotter is also determined uniquely.Furthermore,theф-type-knots knotter equipped on the Chinese square baler to form theфtype knots is designed.Knotting rate experiments of theф-type-knots knotter on the test bench and in the wheat/maize straws covered fields are carried out to check the knotting performances of the knotter.The parameters of the formed knots are also tested.The experiments results show that the knotting rate of theф-type-knots knotter reaches 100.0%on the test bench without straws,while reaches 99.6%in the wheat straws covered field and 100.0%in the maize straws covered field.The average maximum force in the knotting process is 194.7 N in the lab experiment.The length out of the knots formed in lab is 15.9%–20.6%lower than the knots formed in the field experiment.The breaking force of the knots formed in the field is 115.9%–167.2%higher than the knots formed in lab due to the higher preload and interactions with the compacted bales.Highly relevant relationships exist between the breaking force of the formed knots and the maximum force in the forming process of the knots in the lab experiment.The designed knotter breaks out the embarrassing situation of the domestic knotters which don’t have independent intellectual property rights,and promotes the development of Chinese knotter technology,and the mathematical model is helpful for designing new type of knotters.LI Hui HE Jin WANG Qingjie LI Hongwen RASAILY Rabi Gautam CAO Qingchun ZHANG Xiangcai 2014Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2014,27,1:5

8Curcumin protects against interleukin-6-induced rapid Ca~(2+) influx in rat hippocampal neurons显示文摘The current study sought to investigate the potential protective action of curcumin against interleukin-6-induced injury in rat hippocampal neurons.The results revealed that interleukin-6 induced typical cellular injury,such as the swelling of cell bodies and increased Ca2+ concentration.After administration of curcumin,interleukin-6-induced neurons recovered to a normal state,and the fluorescence intensity of Ca2+ gradually returned to normal.These findings suggest that curcumin exerts a protective effect on hippocampal neurons of rats.In addition,our results suggest that the protective effect of curcumin involves prevention of the rapid Ca2+ influx induced by interleukin-6,which maintains Ca2+ homeostasis.Qinying Deng Tao Huang Hongmei Tang Xingming Zhong Sujian Xia Xiangcai Wei Jun Dong 2011Neural Regeneration Research2011,6,24:1

11Quantification of traffic-induced compaction based on soil and agricultural implement parameters显示文摘Vehicle-induced soil compaction occurs when agricultural machinery is working in the fields.The accumulated soil compaction could destroy soil structure and inhibit crop growth.The low degree of visualization of soil compaction has always been an important reason for restricting the development of compaction alleviation technology.Therefore,the main objective of this study was to predict soil compaction based on soil and agricultural implement parameters.The component of soil compaction prediction includes traffic-induced stress transmission evaluation and the quantitative relationship between soil stress and bulk density.The modified FRIDA model was used to elucidate the soil stress propagation,which has been validated by previous studies.The Bailey formula was used to establish the intrinsic relationship between soil stress and bulk density.The soil uniaxial compression test was applied to obtain the parameters of the Bailey formula,and soil samples were prepared with three different levels of water content.After fitting with the Bailey formula,under the condition that the soil moisture contents were 16%,20%,and 24%,the fitting coefficients of soil bulk density were respectively 0.980,0.959,and 0.975,which were close to 1.The results indicated that the Bailey formula could be used to calculate soil bulk density based on the stress conditions of the soil.To verify the practicality of the soil compaction prediction model,a field experiment was carried out in Zhuozhou City,Hebei Province,China.The treatment was set for 1,3,5,7,and 9 times compaction with two different loads of compaction equipment.The results showed that the fit coefficient between the predicted and measured values of soil bulk density was greater than 0.641.The slope of the equation was greater than 0.782,proving that the soil bulk density prediction model based on agricultural implements and soil parameters has a good predictive effect on soil bulk density.The soil compaction evaluation model can provide a theoretical basis to further understand the soil compaction mechanism,allowing rational measures of soil compaction alleviation to be made.Xianliang Wang Xiangcai Zhang Xiaona Lin Luming Sha Hanyu Yang Zhaoyang Guo Zeyu Chen Rongyan Sun 2020International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2020,13,5:1

18Effect of interplanetary shock on an ongoing substorm:Simultaneous satellite-ground auroral observations显示文摘Substorm processes have been studied in detail,and it is well known that interplanetary(IP)shock encountering the terrestrial magnetosphere causes global responses.However,how IP shock compression to the magnetosphere affects the development of an ongoing substorm remains uninvestigated.Herein,the simultaneous satellite and ground-based auroral evolutions associated with an IP shock impact on the magnetopause during an ongoing substorm on May 7th,2005,were examined.The IMAGE satellite over the Southern Hemisphere captured the global development substorm,which was initiated at 17:38:47 UT.The poleward branch of the nightside auroral oval was fortuitously monitored by an all-sky camera at the Zhongshan Station(-74.5°magnetic latitude,ZHO)in Antarctica.The satellite imager observed continuous brightening and broadening of the nightside auroral oval after the IP shock arrival.The simultaneous ground-based optical aurora measurement displayed the intensification and expansion of a preexisting auroral surge poleward of the aurora oval.The geomagnetic field variations and the instantly increased PC indices indicated an elevated merging rate and enhanced the convection-related DP-2 currents.Therefore,this IP shock transient impact did not significantly change the ongoing development of the substorm,although it meets the magnetospheric precondition hypothesis.LIU JianJun CHEN XiangCai WANG ZhiQiang HU ZeJun ZHAO XingXin HU HongQiao HAN DeSheng LUI A.T.Y 2023Science China(Technological Sciences)2023,66,3:1

20Elp3 modulates neural crest and colorectal cancer migration requiring functional integrity of HAT and SAM domains显示文摘Cell migration is a finely tuned biological process that often involves epithelial-mesenchymal transition(EMT).EMT is typically characterized by the upregulation of mesenchymal markers such as Snail1.This process has been shown to be of critical importance to normal developmental processes,including neural crest migration and invasion.Interestingly,similar mechanisms are utilized in disease processes,such as tumor metastasis and migration.Notably,EMT and EMT-like processes confer tumor cells with the ability to migrate,invade,and adopt stem cell-like properties that largely account for immunosuppression and tumor recurrence.Therefore,identifying sensitive EMT markers may contribute to cancer prognosis and diagnosis in many facets.Previously,we showed that Elp3 plays an essential role during neural crest migration by stabilizing Snail1.In the current study,we further elucidate the molecular mechanism underlying colorectal cancer migration.We found that mElp3 exerted an identical function to xElp3 in modulating neural crest migration,and both HAT and SAM domains are imperative during this migratory process.Interestingly,overexpression of mElp3 in SW480 cells promoted cell migration and invasion,and we further showed that Elp3 stabilized Snail1 requiring integrity of both SAM and HAT domains.Our findings warrant further exploration of the specific target of Elp3 in cancer cells.XIANGCAI YANG YA XU SHUTING MEI JIEJING LI 2022BIOCELL2022,46,2:0
