1Habitat-induced reciprocal transformation in the root phenotype of Oriental ginseng is associated with alteration in DNA methylation显示文摘Oriental ginseng is an important medicinal plant that grows in 2 major forms or ecotypes,wild and domesticated.Each form differs conspicuously in root phenotype,but can be converted from one type to another by habitat.Here we show that the habi tat-induced transformation of ginseng root phenotype was accompanied by alteration in cytosine methylation at a large number of 5′-CCGG-3′sites detected by the methylation-sensitive polymorphism(MSAP)marker.The collective CG and CHG methylation levels of all 4 landraces of the domesticated form were significantly lower than those of the wild form.Interestingly,artificially transplanted ginseng plants recreated in both directions the methylation levels(at least in CHG)of their natural counterparts.The methylation differences between the 2 ginseng ecotypes were validated at 2 isolated MSAP loci bearing homology to a 5S rRNA gene or a copia retrotransposon.Our results implicate a link between epigenetic variation and habitat-induced phenotypic flexibility in Oriental ginseng.NGEZAHAYO Frederic WANG XiaoLi YU XiaoMing JIANG LiLi CHU YunJie SHEN BaiHua YAN ZhongKai LIU Bao 2011Chinese Science Bulletin2011,56,16:7

3Performance Analysis of Cooperative NOMA with Energy Harvesting in Multi-Cell Networks显示文摘In this paper,an energy harvesting enabled cooperative non-orthogonal multiple access(NOMA)system for a multi-cell network is investigated.Particularly,during the direct transmission phase,base stations send their superposed messages to the near users and far users simultaneously according to a NOMA principle,while the near users act as energy harvesting enabled relays employing a power splitting protocol.During the cooperative phase,the near users transmit their decoded messages to the corresponding far users using harvested energy.Using tools from stochastic geometry,we firstly calculate the signal to interference ratios of the users in each NOMA group including one near user and one far user.Then,the closed-form expressions of the coverage probability,ergodic rate,and energy efficiency are derived respectively.Numerical results validate the derived expressions and show that the energy harvesting enabled cooperative NOMA system in a multi-cell network can improve the coverage probability,ergodic rate,and energy efficiency compared to its counterpart OMA system.Cheng Guo Jie Xin Liqiang Zhao Xiaoli Chu 2019China Communications2019,16,11:5
4Corresponding Factors Influencing Crude Oils Assay Using Low-field Nuclear Magnetic Resonance显示文摘In this study, the main factors influencing the measurements by means of the off-line low-field 1H NMR in the lab were discussed base on a robust calibration model established by the PLS algorithm using 255 crude oil samples. The preheating temperature had a great influence on the viscosity of oil samples and the resolution of spectral analysis. The repeatability of spectral measurements was impacted by the metal and wax content of the oil samples. For the case of high wax content oils, the wax species began to crystallize in the course of determination that could affect the repeatability of spectral measurements. These factors have evidenced why the preheating devices and filter unit are necessary when low field NMR system is used in the online analysis process. 6Research on Determination of Nitrogen Content in Petroleum Using Mid-infrared Spectroscopy显示文摘Nitrogen content is an important parameter for petroleum refining processes. The combined use of mid-infrared attenuated total reflection spectroscopy and multivariate calibration allows accurate determination of nitrogen content in petroleum and its products. The calibration models of nitrogen content in crude oils have been established by partial least squares (PLS) method. The results predicted by this method were very close to those determined by standard methods. 17Unveiling the impact of residual Li conversion and cation ordering on electrochemical performance of Co-free Ni-rich cathodes显示文摘The residual Li and Li^(+)/Ni_(2)+cation mixing play essential roles in the electrochemical properties of Ni-rich cathodes.However,a general relationship between the residual Li conversion,cation mixing,and their effects on the Li^(+)kinetics and structural stability has yet to be established,due to the presence of cobalt in the cathode.Here,we explore the synergistic impact of the residual Li conversion and cation ordering on a Co-free Ni-rich cathode(i.e.,LiNi0.95Mn0.05O_(2)).It discloses that the rate capability is mainly affected by residual Li contents and operating voltage.Specifically,residual Li can be electrochemically converted to cathode electrolyte interphase(CEI)below 4.3 V,thus inducing high interphase resistance,and decomposes to produce CO_(2)-dominated gas at 4.5 V,causing temporary enhancement of Li^(+)diffusivity but severe surface degradation during cycling.Moreover,the cycling performance of Co-free Ni-rich cathode is not only determined by Li^(+)/Ni_(2)+cation-ordered superlattice,which enhances the structural stability as it functions as the pillar to impede lattice collapse at a highly charged state,but also by the robust CEI layers which protect the bulk from electrolyte attack under 4.3 V.These findings promote an in-depth understanding of residual Li conversion and Li^(+)/Ni_(2)+cation ordering on Co-free Ni-rich cathode.Chu Wang Lei Tan Hongling Yi Zixiang Zhao Xiaoli Yi Youyuan Zhou Junchao Zheng Jiexi Wang Lingjun Li 2022Nano Research2022,15,10:1
