2Accelerated design for magnetocaloric performance in Mn-Fe-P-Si compounds using machine learning显示文摘Magnetocaloric performance is of vital importance for Mn-Fe-P-Si alloys.However,when processes and compositions are considered,designing alloys with large magnetic entropy changes(ΔS_(m)),low thermal hysteresis(ΔT_(hys)),and Curie temperatures(T_(C))around room temperature become relatively complicated.In this study,we adopt machine learning methods to predict the magnetocaloric performance of Mn-Fe-P-Si compounds for the first time.To achieve this goal,503,465,and 660 data points for datasets with T_(C),ΔT_(hys),andΔS_(m)are collected,respectively.The collected datasets contain parameters of compositions,preparations,heat treatment,and magnetic field changes.We search for the optimal configuration using various methods and also compare their mean squared errors(MSE)and allowable errors.Evaluation results show that the performance of neural networks(NNs)is better than other methods.Therefore,we select NN to explore the T_(C),ΔT_(hys),andΔS_(m)values as a function of Mn,Si,metal/non-metal ratios,and B(Boron).We also propose to use the composition window with excellent magnetocaloric performance.These results not only help us gain deep insights into Mn-Fe-P-Si alloys but also accelerate the design process of alloys suitable for magnetocaloric materials.This work has the potential to solve the challenges and boost the research of Mn-Fe-P-Si alloys.Defang Tu Jianqi Yan Yunbo Xie Jun Li Shuo Feng Mingxu Xia Jianguo Li Alex Po Leung 2022Journal of Materials Science & Technology2022,,1:0
3Effect of human umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cells on ovarian function in lupus mice显示文摘Background:Patients with systemic lupus erythematosus(SLE)suffer from a high incidence of premature ovarian failure,which might be due to cyclophosphamide gonadal toxicity,immune abnormalities,or other reasons.This study aimed to investigate whether the transplantation of human umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cells(HUC‐MSCs)can improve ovarian reserve function in lupus mice.Methods:We used MRL/lpr mice to observe changes in ovarian structure and secretory function in SLE.Lupus mice and controls were injected with HUC‐MSCs at Weeks 12 and 16.We detected serum concentrations of the sex hormones estradiol(E2),follicle‐stimulating hormone(FSH),and anti‐Müllerian hormone(AMH),using enzyme‐linked immunosorbent assays.Hematoxylin and eosin staining showed ovarian tissue structure and enabled the counting of follicles.Hepatocyte growth factor(HGF)and insulin‐like growth factor 1(IGF‐1)expression in ovarian tissue was observed by immunohistochemistry.Results:Ovarian function in lupus mice was abnormal,as indicated by decreased serum E2 and AMH concentrations,and increased FSH concentrations.HUC‐MSC transplantation caused significant upregulation of serum E2 and AMH and downregulation of FSH(all p<0.05).Ovarian structure improved and the follicle number increased after HUC‐MSC transplantation.Multiple infusions of HUC‐MSCs at Weeks 12 and 16 resulted in a significantly higher number of primordial follicles than infusions of HUC‐MSCs at only Week 12(p<0.05).Immunohistochemistry showed that IGF‐1 and HGF expression increased after HUC‐MSC transplantation,but this was not significant.Conclusions:HUC‐MSCs transplantation restores disturbed hormone secre-tion and folliculogenesis in lupus mice.HUC‐MSC transplantation should be repeated for the best treatment effect.Defang Meng Jing Xie Hui Li Yu Tang Hua Wei 2022Rheumatology & Autoimmunity2022,2,4:0
4Progress in oncolytic viruses modified with nanomaterials for intravenous application显示文摘In oncolytic virus(OV)therapy,a critical component of tumor immunotherapy,viruses selectively infect,replicate within,and eventually destroy tumor cells.Simultaneously,this therapy activates immune responses and mobilizes immune cells,thereby eliminating residual or distant cancer cells.However,because of OVs’high immunogenicity and immune clearance during circulation,their clinical applications are currently limited to intratumoral injections,and their use is severely restricted.In recent years,numerous studies have used nanomaterials to modify OVs to decrease virulence and increase safety for intravenous injection.The most commonly used nanomaterials for modifying OVs are liposomes,polymers,and albumin,because of their biosafety,practicability,and effectiveness.The aim of this review is to summarize progress in the use of these nanomaterials in preclinical experiments to modify OVs and to discuss the challenges encountered from basic research to clinical application.Liting Chen Zhijun Ma Chen Xu Youbang Xie Defang Ouyang Shuhui Song Xiao Zhao Funan Liu 2023Cancer Biology & Medicine2023,20,11:0
5A fresh class of superconducting and hard pentaborides显示文摘On the basis of the current theoretical understanding of boron-based hard superconductors under ambient conditions,numerous studies have been conducted with the aim of developing superconducting materials with favorable mechanical properties using boron-rich compounds.In this paper,first-principles calculations reveal the existence of an unprecedented family of tetragonal pentaborides MB_(5)(M=Na,K,Rb,Ca,Sr,Ba,Sc,and Y),comprising B_(20)cages and centered metal atoms acting as stabilizers and electron donors to the boron sublattice.These compounds exhibit both superconductivity and high hardness,with the maximum superconducting transition temperature T_(c)of 18.6 K being achieved in RbB5 and the peak Vickers hardness Hv of 35.1 GPa being achieved in KB_(5)at 1 atm.The combination of these properties is particularly evident in KB_(5),RbB5,and BaB5,with Tc values of∼14.7,18.6,and 16.3 K and H_(v)values of∼35.1,32.4,and 33.8 GPa,respectively.The results presented here reveal that pentaborides can provide a framework for exploring and designing novel superconducting materials with favorable hardness at achievable pressures and even under ambient conditions.Hui Xie Hong Wang Fang Qin Wei Han Suxin Wang Youchun Wang Fubo Tian Defang Duan 2023Matter and Radiation at Extremes2023,8,5:0
6New Cage-Like Cerium Trihydride Stabilized at Ambient Conditions显示文摘Metal hydrides,generally formed by high pressure combined with high-temperature conditions,have attracted substantial interest due to their promising high-energy density and high-temperature superconductivity.Although the synthesis and properties of these hydrides have been extensively studied,an important challenge is the lack of an efficient method to retain high-pressure phases.Herein,we have successfully quenched a high-pressure phase to ambient conditions with the precise control of different compression pathways.A newβ-CeH_(3) phase(space group Pm3n)isostructural toβ-UH_(3) phase was synthesized by the reaction of Ce and H2 above 33.0 GPa in a laser-heated diamond anvil cell.Theβ-CeH_(3)phase has a cage-like framework structure that can be retained at ambient conditions.The electrical resistance as a function of temperature determines its metallic properties,but no superconductivity is observed in the current temperature range.Thermodynamic and dynamic calculations further prove the stability ofβ-CeH_(3) at ambient pressure.This work demonstrates that different synthesized paths will drive the formation of different products.Xin Li Xiaoli Huang Wuhao Chen Di Zhou Hui Xie Quan Zhuang Defang Duan Tian Cui 2022CCS Chemistry2022,4,3:0
7High T_(c) superconductivity in layered hydrides XH_(15) (X = Ca, Sr, Y, La) under high pressures显示文摘The theoretical predictions and experimental synthesis of H_(3)S and LaH_(10) superconductors with record high superconducting transition temperatures(T_(c))have promoted the hydrogen-based superconducors to be a research hotspot in the field of solid-state physics.Here,we predict an unprecedented layered structure CaH15,with high T_(c) of 189 K at 200 GPa using ab initio calculations.As concerns the novel structure,one layer is made of a hydrogen nonagon,the other layer consists of a Ca atom and six H_(2) molecular units surrounding the Ca atom.This layered structure was also found in SrH_(15),YH_(15),and LaH_(15) at high pressures,each materials exhibit high T_(c) especially YH_(15) can reach above 200 K at 220 GPa.It represents the second class of layered superhydrides with high value of Tc after pentagraphene like HfH10.Yue Chen Zhengtao Liu Ziyue Lin Qiwen Jiang Mingyang Du Zihan Zhang Hao Song Hui Xie Tian Cui Defang Duan 2022Frontiers of physics2022,17,6:0

9Determination of Metalaxyl Residues in Watermelon and Banana by HPLC显示文摘A determination method for metalaxyl(MEL) residues in watermelon and banana had been established by automated solid-phase extraction(SPE) coupled with high performance liquid hromatography(HPLC). Samples were extracted by acetonitrile,homogenized,filtrated,extracted by automated solid-phase extraction(SPE),and finally purified by C18 column. The experiment was carried on SunFireTMC18 column with the mobile phase of acetonitrile-water-methanol(25∶40∶35,by vol) at the flow rate of1.0 mL/min. The detection wavelength and injection volume were set at220 nm and10 uL,respectively. The recoveries of three different concentrations(0. 02,0. 20,1. 00 mg /kg) for watermelon and banana were 94. 3%- 101. 0% and 81. 5%- 99. 6%,respectively. RSD(n = 5)were 1. 30%- 5. 29% and 2. 66%- 6. 67%,respectively. The lower detection limit for metalaxyl was 0. 006 mg /kg.
