1Credit-based scheme for security-aware and fairness-aware resource allocation in cloud computing显示文摘Cloud computing systems include different types of participants with varied requirements for resources and multiple tasks; these varying requirements must be considered in the design of fairness-aware resource allocation schemes for better resources sharing. However, some participants may be malicious with a goal to damage the resource allocation fairness and increase their own utility. Hence, the resource scheduling policy must guarantee allocation fairness among the participants; further, it must ensure that fairness is not affected by the malicious usage of resources, that could cause resource exhaustion and lead to denial of service. In order to address this challenge, we propose a credit-based mechanism for resource allocation that will avoid the malicious usage of resources and, simultaneously, guarantee allocation fairness. In our scheme, a credit factor is introduced for each participant in order to evaluate the history of resource utilization and determine future resource allocation. Our model encourages a participant to release the occupied resources in timely manner after the completion of a task and imposes a punishment for malicious occupation of resources. We prove the fairness of our model and provide linear and variable gradient approaches to determine the credit factor for different scenarios. We simulate our model and perform experiments on a real cloud computing platform. 2Crystal phase engineering of electrocatalysts for energy conversions显示文摘Crystal phase is an intrinsic structural parameter to determine the physicochemical properties and functionalities of materials.The unconventional phases of materials with distinct atomic arrangements from their thermodynamically stable phases have attracted enormous attention.Phase engineering has recently made fruitful achievements in electrocatalysis field to optimize the performance of various electrochemical reactions.In this review,theoretical and experimental advances made in phase engineering of electrocatalysts are summarized.First,we introduce basic understanding on crystal phases of catalysts to show the dialectical relationship between bulk phase and surface catalytic layer,and highlight the multiple functions of phase engineering in catalysis studies.We then describe phase-controlled synthesis of materials through various experimental methods such as wet-chemical method,phase transition,and template growth.As a focus,we discuss the wide usage of phase engineering strategy in different kinds of electrocatalytic materials,and particular emphasis is given to establishment of reasonable crystal phase-activity relationship.Finally,we propose several future directions for developing more desirable electrocatalysts by rational crystal phase design.Hui Chen Mingcheng Zhang Yanfei Wang Ke Sun Lina Wang Zhoubing Xie Yucheng Shen Xindi Han Lan Yang Xiaoxin Zou 2022Nano Research2022,15,12:0
3Facile fabrication of drug-loaded PEGDA microcapsules for drug evaluation using droplet-based microchip显示文摘Droplet-based microfluidic technology can be utilized as a microreactor to prepare novel functional monodisperse microcapsules.In this study,a droplet-based microfluidic chip with surface modification,which allowed the one-step preparation of double emulsion microcapsules.An O/W/O double emulsion using polyethylene(glycol)diacrylate(PEGDA)solution as the intermediate water phase was prepared by regulating the hydrophilicity and hydrophobicity of the chip surface,with PEGDA microcapsules prepared using UV polymerization.And then anti-tumor drug paclitaxel and neurotoxin 6-OHDA were encapsulated in microcapsules for drug and toxicology evaluation,respectively.Compared to controls,drug-loaded mi-crocapsules caused a significant increase in the death rate of PC12 cells.This indicates that the obtained drug-loaded microcapsules could be used in drug evaluation and potentially in drug screening and deliv-ery.Xindi Sun Qirui Wu Wei Li Xiuqing Gong Jun-Yi Ge Jinbo Wu Xinghua Gao 2022Chinese Chemical Letters2022,33,5:0
