1Effects of Nitrogen Addition on Plant Functional Traits in Freshwater Wetland of Sanjiang Plain,Northeast China显示文摘To clarify the responses of plant functional traits to nitrogen(N) enrichment, we investigated the whole-plant traits(plant height and aboveground biomass), leaf morphological(specific leaf area(SLA) and leaf dry mass content(LDMC)) and chemical traits(leaf N concentration(LNC) and leaf phosphorus(P) concentration(LPC)) of Deyeuxia angustifolia and Glyceria spiculosa following seven consecutive years of N addition at four rates(0 g N/(m2·yr), 6 g N/(m2·yr), 12 g N/(m2·yr) and 24 g N/(m2·yr)) in a freshwater marsh in the Sanjiang Plain, Northeast China. The results showed that, for both D. angustifolia and G. spiculosa, N addition generally increased plant height, leaf, stem and total aboveground biomass, but did not cause changes in SLA and LDMC. Moreover, increased N availability caused an increase in LNC, and did not affect LPC. Thus, N addition decreased leaf C∶N ratio, but caused an increase in leaf N∶P ratio, and did not affect leaf C∶P ratio. Our results suggest that, in the mid-term, elevated N loading does not alter leaf morphological traits, but causes substantial changes in whole-plant traits and leaf chemical traits in temperate freshwater wetlands. 2Generation and manipulation of chiral terahertz waves in the three-dimensional topological insulator Bi2Te3显示文摘Arbitrary manipulation of broadband terahertz waves with flexible polarization shaping at the source has great potential in expanding numerous applications,such as imaging,information encryption,and all-optical coherent control of terahertz nonlinear phenomena.Topological insulators featuring unique spinmomentum-locked surface state have already exhibited very promising prospects in terahertz emission,detection,and modulation,which may lay a foundation for future on-chip topological insulator-based terahertz systems.However,polarization-shaped terahertz emitters based on topological insulators with an arbitrarily manipulated temporal evolution of the amplitude and the electric-field vector direction have not yet been explored.We systematically investigated the terahertz radiation from topological insulator Bi2Te3 nanofilms driven by femtosecond laser pulses and successfully realized the generation of efficient chiral terahertz waves with controllable chirality,ellipticity,and principal axis.The convenient engineering of the chiral terahertz waves was interpreted by a photogalvanic effect(PGE)-induced photocurrent,while the linearly polarized terahertz waves originated from linear PGE-induced shift currents.Our work not only provides further understanding of femtosecond coherent control of ultrafast spin currents but also describes an effective way to generate spin-polarized terahertz waves at the source.Haihui Zhao Xinhou Chen Chen Ouyang Hangtian Wang Deyin Kong Peidi Yang Baolong Zhang Chun Wang Gaoshuai Wei Tianxiao Nie Weisheng Zhao Jungang Miao Yutong Li Li Wang Xiaojun Wu 2020Advanced Photonics2020,2,6:6

11Structural properties of hydroxyl-substituted alkyl benzenesulfonates at the water/vapor and water/decane interfaces显示文摘Molecular dynamics simulations have been performed to investigate the structural properties of hydroxyl-substituted alkyl benzenesulfonate monolayers formed at the water/vapor and water/decane interfaces.We report a detailed study of the interfacial properties-liquid density profile,hydrogen bond structure,surfactant aggregate structure and order parameter-of the novel anionic surfactant,sodium 2-hydroxy-3-decyl-5-octylbenzenesulfonate(C10C8OHphSO3Na).Simulation results show that:with increasing number of surfactant molecules,the average number of intramolecular hydrogen bonds per surfactant molecule in the monolayer decreases,but the structures forming the intramolecular hydrogen bonds still play a dominant role;the hydrophobic part of the alkyl tail chain,especially the decyl substituent on the third carbon atom in the benzene ring,becomes straighter,and more ordered towards the external interface at higher surfactant coverage;two-dimensional radial distribution functions can describe the characteristic of surfactant aggregate structures and highlight the decane phase effect on the orientation of the hydrophobic part of the surfactant;the surfactant molecules readily form long-range hydrogen bonded structures.Our results are an important complement to experimental studies.We used the all-atom model by employing the GROMACS and ffAMBER programs in the simulations,which provides a new way to simulate the interfacial behavior of alkyl benzenesulfonate surfactants.SUN HuanQuan XIAO HongYan LIU XinHou 2011Science China Chemistry2011,54,7:1
