1Experimental study on pressure and temperature distributions for low mass flux steam jet in subcooled water显示文摘A low mass flux steam jet in subcooled water was experimentally investigated.The transition of flow pattern from stable jet to condensation oscillation was observed at relatively high water temperature.The axial total pressures,the axial and radial temperature distributions were measured in the jet region.The results indicated that the pressure and temperature distributions were mainly influenced by the water temperature.The correlations corrected with water temperature were given to predict the dimen-sionless axial pressure peak distance and axial temperature distributions in the jet region,the results showed a good agreement between the predictions and experiments.Moreover,the self-similarity property of the radial temperature was obtained,which agreed well with Gauss distribution.In present work,all the dimensionless properties were mainly dependent on the water temperature but weakly on the nozzle size under a certain steam mass flux.JunJie Yan XinZhuang Wu DaoTong Chong 2009Science China(Technological Sciences)2009,52,6:7
2A Li-S battery with ultrahigh cycling stability and enhanced rate capability based on novel ZnO yolk-shell sulfur host显示文摘Currently,lithium-sulfur(Li-S)batteries still suffer from fast capacity decay,poor coulombic efficiency(CE)and short cycling lifespan,which result from the severe shuttle effect issue caused by high solubility and rapid diffusion of lithium polysulfides(Li PSs)in organic electrolytes.Here,yolk-shell zinc oxide(YSZn O)spheres are synthesized and for the first time,applied as a host for Li-S batteries to tackle this challenge.The polar Zn O exhibits high chemical anchoring ability toward Li PSs while the unique yolk-shell structure not only provides an additional physical barrier to Li PSs but also enables much more uniform sulfur distribution,thus significantly suppressing Li PSs shuttling effect meanwhile promoting sulfur conversion reactions.As a result,the YS-Zn O enables the Li-S battery to display an initial specific capacity of1355 m Ah g^(-1) and an outstanding capacity retention capability(~89.44%retention rate)even after 500 cycles with the average CE of~99.46%at the current of 0.5 C.By contrast,the capacity of conventional-Zn O-nanoparticles based battery severely decays to 472 m Ah g^(-1) after cycling for 500 times.More impressively,the S/YS-Zn O based Li-S battery can maintain a low decay rate of 0.040%every cycle and high average CE of 98.82%over 1000 cycles at 3 C.Ruihan Zhang Maochun Wu Xinzhuang Fan Haoran Jiang Tianshou Zhao 2021Journal of Energy Chemistry2021,30,4:5
3Development of a CH4 dehydroaromatization–catalyst regeneration fluidized bed system显示文摘A pilot-scale methane dehydroaromatization–H_2regeneration fluidized bed system(MDARS)was developed.In the MDARS,the catalyst circulation between a fluidized bed reactor and a fluidized bed regenerator with the help of a catalyst feeder allowed methane dehydroaromatization(MDA)and H_2regeneration to be carried out simultaneously,which is good for maintaining a stable MDA catalytic activity.A fixed bed reactor(FB)and a single fluidized bed reactor(SFB)were also used for a comparative study.The experimental results showed that the catalytic activity in the MDARS was more stable than that in the FB and SFB reactors.The effects of some parameters of MDARS on the CH_4conversion and product selectivity were investigated.To verify the feasibility and reliability of the MDARS,an eight-hour long-term test was carried out,which demonstrated that the operation of the MDARS was stable and that the catalytic activity remained stable throughout the entire experimental period.Peng Yan Zhanguo Zhang Dapeng Li Xu Cheng Xinzhuang Zhang Fan Yang Chuanfeng Huang Xiaoxun Ma 2018Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2018,26,9:5
4A novel energy storage system incorporating electrically rechargeable liquid fuels as the storage medium显示文摘We propose a novel concept of energy storage that incorporates electrically rechargeable liquid fuels made of electroactive species, known as e-fuels, as the storage medium. This e-fuel energy storage system comprises an e-fuel charger and an e-fuel cell. The e-fuel charger electrically charges e-fuels, while the efuel cell subsequently generates electricity using charged e-fuels whenever and wherever on demand.The e-fuel energy storage system possesses all the advantages of conventional hydrogen storage systems,but unlike hydrogen, liquid e-fuels are as easy and safe to store and transport as gasoline. The potential efuel candidates have been identified to include inorganic electroactive materials, organic electroactive materials, and suspension of solid electroactive materials. In this work, we demonstrate an example efuel energy storage system for large-scale energy storage using inorganic e-fuels composed of V^(2+)/V^(3+) and VO_2^+/VO_2^+ redox couples, and compare the performance of the e-fuel energy storage system with that of existing technologies. Results show that our e-fuel charger achieves a charge efficiency of as high as~94%, while the e-fuel cell is capable of delivering a peak power density of 3.4 W cm^(-2), which is 1.7 times higher than that of hydrogen fuel cells. More excitingly, the e-fuel energy storage system exhibits a round-trip efficiency of 80.0% and an electrolyte utilization of 83.0% at an ultra-high discharge current density of 1,000 mA cm^(-2), which are 19.9% and 67.3% higher than those of conventional vanadium redox flow batteries. 18Study on attrition of spherical-shaped Mo/HZSM-5 catalyst for methane dehydro-aromatization in a gas–solid fluidized bed显示文摘As a potential methane efficient conversion process,non-oxidative aromatization of methane in fluidized bed requires a catalyst with good attrition resistance,especially in the states of high temperature,longtime rapid movement and chemical reaction.Existing evaluation methods for attrition resistance,such as ASTM D5757 and Jet Cup test,are targeted for fresh catalysts at ambient temperature,which cannot well reflect the real process.In this study,spherical-shaped Mo/HZSM-5 catalyst prepared by dipping and spray drying was placed in a self-made apparatus for attrition testing,in which the catalyst attrition under different system temperatures,running time and process factors was investigated with percent mass loss(PML),particle size-mass distribution(PSMD)and scanning electron microscope(SEM).Carbon deposition on the catalyst before and after activation,aromatization and regeneration was analyzed by thermogravimetry(TG),and the attrited catalysts were evaluated for methane dehydro-aromatization(MDA).The results show that the surface abrasion and body breakage of catalyst particles occur continuously,with the increase of system temperature and running time,and make the PML rise gradually.The process factors of activation,aromatization and regeneration can cause the catalyst attrition and carbon deposits,which broaden the PSMD in varying degrees,and the carbon-substances on catalysts greatly improve their attrition resistance at high temperature.Catalyst attrition has a certain influence on its catalytic performance,and the main reasons point to particle breakage and fine powder escape.Xinzhuang Zhang Yunda Han Dapeng Li Zhanguo Zhang Xiaoxun Ma 2021Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2021,34,10:1
