1Reduction of VOC emissions by a membrane-based gas absorption process显示文摘A membrane-based gas absorption (MGA) process was evaluated for the removal of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) based on C6H6/N2 mixture. The absorption of C6H6 from a C6H6/N2 mixture was investigated using a hydrophobic polypropylene hollow fiber membrane contactor and the aqueous solution of N-formyl morpholine (NFM) as absorbent. The effects of various factors on the overall mass transfer coefficient was investigated. The experimental results showed that the removal efficiency of C6H6 could reach 99.5% in present studied system. A mathematical model based on resistance-in-series concept was presented to predict the value of overall mass transfer coefficient. The average error between the predicted and experimental values is 7.9%. 2Sporopollen Assemblages from the Cretaceous Yimin Formation of the Hailar Basin,Inner Mongolia,China显示文摘Three sporopollen assemblages are recognized for the first time from the Cretaceous Yimin Formation in the Hailar Basin of eastern Inner Mongolia. They are (in ascending order): the Impardecispora-Aequitriradites-Clavatipollenites assemblage; the Triporoletes-Pilosisporites-Asteropollis assemblage; and the Appendicisporites-Asteropollis-Tricolpites assemblage, distributed in Members 1, 2 and 3 of the Yimin Formation respectively. Recognition of this biostratigraphic sequence is very important for the division and correlation of the Yimin Formation in the basin. 4Cloning and expression of the Chinese wheat mosaic virus RNA2 coat protein read-through and 19 ku cysteine-rich domains and localization of these proteins显示文摘The 5’-terminal (RTn) and 3’-terminal (RTc) halves of the coat protein readthrough domain and the 19 ku cysteine-rich protein of Chinese wheat mosaic virus (CWMV) were amplified by RT-PCR, cloned and expressed in E. coll. Antisera and monoclonal antibodies against these proteins were prepared by immunising these purified proteins to mice. 5Methyltransferase like 13 mediates the translation of Snail in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma显示文摘Methyltransferase like 13(METTL13),a kind of methyltransferase,is implicated in protein binding and synthesis.The upregulation of METTL13 has been reported in a variety of tumors.However,little was known about its potential function in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma(HNSCC)so far.In this study,we found that METTL13 was significantly upregulated in HNSCC at both mRNA and protein level.Increased METTL13 was negatively associated with clinical prognosis.And METTL13 markedly affected HNSCC cellular phenotypes in vivo and vitro.Further mechanism study revealed that METTL13 could regulate EMT signaling pathway by mediating enhancing translation efficiency of Snail,the key transcription factor in EMT,hence regulating the progression of EMT.Furthermore,Snail was verified to mediate METTL13-induced HNSCC cell malignant phenotypes.Altogether,our study had revealed the oncogenic role of METTL13 in HNSCC,and provided a potential therapeutic strategy.Xiaochen Wang Kang Li Yuehan Wan Fangfang Chen Maosheng Cheng Gan Xiong Ganping Wang Shuang Chen Zhi Chen Jianwen Chen Xiuyun Xu Cheng Wang Liang Peng Demeng Chen 2021International Journal of Oral Science2021,13,3:3

7Injectable melatonin-loaded carboxymethyl chitosan(CMCS)-based hydrogel accelerates wound healing by reducing inflammation and promoting angiogenesis and collagen deposition显示文摘Carboxymethyl chitosan(CMCS)-based hydrogels have antibacterial activity,and have shown the abilities of preventing wound infection,promoting cell proliferation,accelerating collagen deposition,and stimulating hyaluronic acid formation during wound healing.As a hormone produced by the pineal gland in humans and animals,melatonin promotes skin wound healing by regulating the release of inflammatory mediators and accelerating the proliferation and migration of cells,angiogenesis,and collagen deposition.However,the combined effects of CMCS and melatonin on wound healing remain unclear.Injectable CMCS-based hydrogels containing melatonin were prepared,and their healing effects were evaluated using a full-thickness cutaneous wound model in rats.Compared with the control and the hydrogel with no melatonin groups,the melatonin-loaded hydrogel significantly increased the percentage of wound closure,promoted the proliferation of granulation tissue and re-epithelialization,and accelerated collagen deposition.Additionally,the melatonin-loaded hydrogel promoted angiogenesis and vascular endothelial growth factor receptor protein expression and increased the expression of cyclooxygenase-2 and inducible nitric oxide synthase.The melatonin-loaded hydrogel also markedly increased the expression of collagen III,α-smooth muscle actin,and transforming growth factor-β1 proteins and reduced collagen I expression.These results suggest that the melatonin-loaded hydrogel promoted granulation tissue formation and accelerated wound healing by reducing inflammation and promoting angiogenesis and collagen deposition.Kai Chen Changci Tong Jinge Yang Peifang Cong Ying Liu Xiuyun Shi Xu Liu Jun Zhang Rufei Zou Keshen Xiao Yuyang Ni Lei Xu Mingxiao Hou Hongxu Jin Yunen Liu 2021Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,4:2

13Transcriptome shock in an interspecific F1 triploid hybrid of Oryza revealed by RNA sequencing显示文摘Interspecific hybridization is a driving force in evolution and speciation of higher plants. Interspecific hybridization often induces immediate and saltational changes in gene expression,a phenomenon collectively termed 'transcriptome shock'. Although transcriptome shock has been reported in various plant and animal taxa,the extent and pattern of shock-induced expression changes are often highly idiosyncratic,and hence entails additional investigations. Here,we produced a set of interspecific F_1 triploid hybrid plants between Oryza sativa,ssp. japonica(2n=2x=24,genome AA) and the tetraploid form of O. punctata(2n=4x=48,genome,BBCC),and conducted RNA-seq transcriptome profiling of the hybrids and their exact parental plants. We analyzed both homeolog expression bias and overall gene expression level difference in the hybrids relative to the in silico 'hybrids'(parental mixtures). We found that approximately 16%(2,541) of the 16,112 expressed genes in leaf tissue of the F_1 hybrids showed nonadditive expression, which were specifically enriched in photosynthesis-related pathways. Interestingly,changes in the maternal homeolog expression, including non-stochastic silencing, were the major causes for altered homeolog expression partitioning in the F_1 hybrids. 15Genomic mosaicism due to homoeologous exchange generates extensive phenotypic diversity in nascent allopolyploids显示文摘Allopolyploidy is an important process in plant speciation,yet newly formed allopolyploid species typically suffer from extreme genetic bottlenecks.One escape from this impasse might be homoeologous meiotic pairing,during which homoeologous exchanges(HEs)generate phenotypically variable progeny.However,the immediate genome-wide patterns and resulting phenotypic diversity generated by HEs remain largely unknown.Here,we analyzed the genome composition of 202 phenotyped euploid segmental allopolyploid individuals from the fourth selfed generation following chromosomal doubling of reciprocal F1 hybrids of crosses between rice subspecies,using whole-genome sequencing.We describe rampant occurrence of HEs that,by overcoming incompatibility or conferring superiority of hetero-cytonuclear interactions,generate extensive and individualized genomic mosaicism across the analyzed tetraploids.We show that the resulting homoeolog copy number alteration in tetraploids affects known-function genes and their complex genetic interactions,in the process creating extraordinary phenotypic diversity at the population level following a single initial hybridization.Our results illuminate the immediate genomic landscapes possible in a tetraploid genomic environment,and underscore HE as an important mechanism that fuels rapid phenotypic diversification accompanying the initial stages of allopolyploid evolution.Ying Wu Fan Lin Yao Zhou Jie Wang Shuai Sun Bin Wang Zhibin Zhang Guo Li Xiuyun Lin Xutong Wang Yue Sun Qianli Dong Chunming Xu Lei Gong Jonathan F.Wendel Zhiwu Zhang Bao Liu 2021National Science Review2021,8,5:1
16An Analysis on the Relationship between Maize Heterosis and Genetic Distance显示文摘13 normal maize inbred lines with quite different quantitative traits were used as experimental materials in this paper. The results showed that there was significantly positive correlation between genetic distance and plot yield,mid-parent heterosis,super heterosis,or SCA of yield. In a certain range,the longer the genetic distance between parental inbred lines,the stronger the heterosis. 17Oil and Gas Distribution in Hailar Basin,Northeast China显示文摘Through petroleum exploration of 20 years, a new petroleum production area has been constructed in Hailar Basin. Their petroleum geological characteristics and hydrocarbon distribution has been known in detail. The Hailar Basin is a basin group consisted of many scattered sub-basins with similar structural developed history. 18Anti-oxidative effect of ribonuclease inhibitor by site-directed mutagenesis and expression in Pichia pastoris显示文摘Human placental ribonuclease inhibitor(hRI)is an acidic protein of Mr∼50kDa with unusually high contents of leucine and cysteine residues.It is a cytosolic protein that protects cells from the adventitious invasion of pancreatic-type ribonuclease.hRI has 32 cysteine residues,and the oxidative formation of disulfide bonds from those cysteine residues is a rapid cooperative process that inactivates hRI.The most proximal cysteine residues in native hRI are two pairs that are adjacent in sequence.In the present aork,two molecules of alanine substituting for Cys328 and Cys329 were performed by site-directed mutagenesis.The site-mutated RI cDNA was constructed into plasmid pPIC9K and then transformed Pichia pastoris GS115 by electroporation.After colony screening,the bacterium was cultured and the product was purified with affinity chromatography.The affinity of the recombinant human RI with double site mutation was examined for RNase A and its anti-oxidative effect.Results indicated that there were not many changes in the affinity for RNase A detected when compared with the wild type of RI.But the capacity of anti-oxidative effect increased by 7~9 times.The enhancement in anti-oxidative effect might be attributed to preventing the formation of disulfide bond between Cys328 and Cys329 and the three dimensional structure of RI was thereby maintained.Wu Yu Cui Xiuyun Wang Jihong Zhao Peng Xu Yuefei Zhao Baochang 2006Frontiers in Biology2006,1,2:0
19Experimental investigation on the spray characteristics of agricultural full-cone pressure swirl nozzle显示文摘The spray characteristics of a full-cone pressure swirl nozzle have been investigated in this study.The results were defined by Reynolds number,which focuses on the breakup of liquid film,droplet size,velocity,and liquid volume flux under different Reynolds numbers at the near-field spray.The spray structure was visualized using a high-speed camera,and the characteristics of droplets were measured using a Phase Doppler Anemometer(PDA)in both the radial and axial directions.The tests were carried out at varying spray pressures(0.2 to 1.0 MPa),corresponding to different Reynolds numbers(5369 to 12006).It was found that when the Reynolds number rises,the liquid became more unstable after leaving the nozzle,causing the liquid film to break up faster.According to the measurements of PDA,the coalescence of droplets increased due to the centrifugal effect.What’s more,the velocity of the droplets fluctuates significantly in the radial direction,and the droplets with a smaller particle size had a higher average velocity.From the perspective of liquid distribution,the increase in Reynolds number caused the spray liquid to move in the radial direction gradually.In contrast,the liquid volume distribution changed in the radial direction more obviously than in the axial direction,growing to the maximum along the radial direction and gradually reducing.It can provide a reference for selecting operating parameters for actual agricultural spray operations and the design of electrostatic nozzles through the research on breakup and droplet characteristics.Xiuyun Xue Xufeng Xu Shilei Lyu Shuran Song Xin Ai Nengchao Li Zhenyu Yang Zhen Li 2023International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2023,16,4:0
20Single-cell transcriptomic analysis uncovers the origin and intratumoral heterogeneity of parotid pleomorphic adenoma显示文摘Pleomorphic adenoma(PA)is the most common benign tumour in the salivary gland and has high morphological complexity.However,the origin and intratumoral heterogeneity of PA are largely unknown.Here,we constructed a comprehensive atlas of PA at single-cell resolution and showed that PA exhibited five tumour subpopulations,three recapitulating the epithelial states of the normal parotid gland,and two PA-specific epithelial cell(PASE)populations unique to tumours.Then,six subgroups of PASE cells were identified,which varied in epithelium,bone,immune,metabolism,stemness and cell cycle signatures.Moreover,we revealed that CD36+myoepithelial cells were the tumour-initiating cells(TICs)in PA,and were dominated by the PI3K-AKT pathway.Targeting the PI3K-AKT pathway significantly inhibited CD36+myoepithelial cell-derived tumour spheres and the growth of PA organoids.Our results provide new insights into the diversity and origin of PA,offering an important clinical implication for targeting the PI3K-AKT signalling pathway in PA treatment.Xiuyun Xu Jiaxiang Xie Rongsong Ling Shengqi Ouyang Gan Xiong Yanwen Lu Bokai Yun Ming Zhang Wenjin Wang Xiqiang Liu Demeng Chen Cheng Wang 2023International Journal of Oral Science2023,15,3:0
