| 1 | Analysis of period doubling bifurcation and chaos mirror of biped passive dynamic robot gait显示文摘With a reasonable parameter configuration,the passive dynamic walking model has a stable,efficient,natural periodic gait,which depends only on gravity and inertia when walking down a slight slope.In fact,there is a delicate balance in the energy conversion in the stable periodic gait,making the gait adjustable by changing the model parameters.Poincaré mapping is combined with Newton-Raphson iteration to obtain the numerical solution of the final state of the passive dynamic walking model.In addition,a simulation on the walking gait of the model is performed by increasing the slope step by step,thereby fixing the model's parameters synchronously.Then,the gait features obtained in the different slope stages are analyzed and discussed,the intrinsic laws are revealed in depth.The results indicate that the gait can present features of a single period,doubling period,the entrance of chaos,merging of sub-bands,and so on,because of the high sensitivity of the passive dynamic walking to the slope.From a global viewpoint,the gait becomes chaotic by way of period doubling bifurcation,with a self-similar Feigenbaum fractal structure in the process.At the entrance of chaos,the gait sequence comprises a Cantor set,and during the chaotic stage,sub-bands in the final-state diagram of the robot system present as a mirror of the period doubling bifurcation. | ZHAO Jie WU XiaoGuang ZANG XiZhe YAN JiHong | 2012 | Chinese Science Bulletin2012,57,14: | 4 |
| 2 | A single-cell transcriptome of mesenchymal stromal cells to fabricate bioactive hydroxyapatite materials for bone regeneration显示文摘The osteogenic microenvironment of bone-repairing materials plays a key role in accelerating bone regeneration but remains incompletely defined,which significantly limits the application of such bioactive materials.Here,the transcriptional landscapes of different osteogenic microenvironments,including three-dimensional(3D)hydroxyapatite(HA)scaffolds and osteogenic medium(OM),for mesenchymal stromal cells(MSCs)in vitro were mapped at single-cell resolution.Our findings suggested that an osteogenic process reminiscent of endochondral ossification occurred in HA scaffolds through sequential activation of osteogenic-related signaling pathways,along with inflammation and angiogenesis,but inhibition of adipogenesis and fibrosis.Moreover,we revealed the mechanism during OM-mediated osteogenesis involves the ZBTB16 and WNT signaling pathways.Heterogeneity of MSCs was also demonstrated.In vitro ossification of LRRC75A+MSCs was shown to have better utilization of WNT-related ossification process,and PCDH10+MSCs with superiority in hydroxyapatite-related osteogenic process.These findings provided further understanding of the cellular activity modulated by OM conditions and HA scaffolds,providing new insights for the improvement of osteogenic biomaterials.This atlas provides a blueprint for research on MSC heterogeneity and the osteogenic microenvironment of HA scaffolds and a database reference for the application of bioactive materials for bone regeneration. | Peng Guo Xizhe Liu Penghui Zhang Zhongyuan He Zhen Li Mauro Alini RGeoff Richards Sibylle Grad Martin J.Stoddart Guangqian Zhou Xuenong Zou Danny Chan Wei Tian Dafu Chen Manman Gao Zhiyu Zhou Shaoyu Liu | 2022 | Bioactive Materials2022,7,3: | 3 |
| 3 | Changes in the death probability of China’s elderly population and rethinking the definition of old age显示文摘A study of the age-specific death probability of China’s elderly population from 1982 to 2010 shows that,during the past 30 years,the death probability of China’s elderly population has decreased over time.This indicates that the health status of and meaning of age for the elderly population has been changing.At the same time,changes in economic,social and environmental factors and the development of science and technology have not only greatly changed the lifestyles and work situation of the elderly population,but also provided them with more opportunities to participate in economic and social activities,thus making today’s elderly people“healthier”and“younger”than those of previous generations.In conclusion,the findings of this paper suggest that it is necessary to rethink the traditional definition of elderly population.In addition,changes in the death probability of the elderly population of China also show significant gender and regional differences domestically,and there are gaps in the death probability of the elderly in China versus in developed countries,indicating that China still has a long way to go to complete a fundamental transformation of death patterns.A full understanding of such changes and differences will allow us to redefine old age and develop a new understanding of the aging society.Such an understanding can also help us to reconstruct the public policy system to meet the needs of a future society in which aging is the normal state of affairs. | Min Lu Xizhe Peng Mengxue Chen | 2019 | China Population and Development Studies2019,2,1: | 2 |
| 4 | Effect of cyclic mechanical loading on immunoinflammatory microenvironment in biofabricating hydroxyapatite scaffold for bone regeneration显示文摘It has been proven that the mechanical microenvironment can impact the differentiation of mesenchymal stem cells(MSCs).However,the effect of mechanical stimuli in biofabricating hydroxyapatite scaffolds on the inflammatory response of MSCs remains unclear.This study aimed to investigate the effect of mechanical loading on the inflammatory response of MSCs seeded on scaffolds.Cyclic mechanical loading was applied to biofabricate the cell-scaffold composite for 15 min/day over 7,14,or 21 days.At the predetermined time points,culture supernatant was collected for inflammatory mediator detection,and gene expression was analyzed by qRT-PCR.The results showed that the expression of inflammatory mediators(IL1B and IL8)was downregulated(p<0.05)and the expression of ALP(p<0.01)and COL1A1(p<0.05)was upregulated under mechanical loading.The cell-scaffold composites biofabricated with or without mechanical loading were freeze-dried to prepare extracellular matrix-based scaffolds(ECM-based scaffolds).Murine macrophages were seeded on the ECM-based scaffolds to evaluate their polarization.The ECM-based scaffolds that were biofabricated with mechanical loading before freeze-drying enhanced the expression of M2 polarization-related biomarkers(Arginase 1 and Mrc1,p<0.05)of macrophages in vitro and increased bone volume/total volume ratio in vivo.Overall,these findings demonstrated that mechanical loading could dually modulate the inflammatory responses and osteogenic differentiation of MSCs.Besides,the ECM-based scaffolds that were biofabricated with mechanical loading before freeze-drying facilitated the M2 polarization of macrophages in vitro and bone regeneration in vivo.Mechanical loading may be a promising biofabrication strategy for bone biomaterials. | Penghui Zhang Xizhe Liu Peng Guo Xianlong Li Zhongyuan He Zhen Li Martin J.Stoddart Sibylle Grad Wei Tian Dafu Chen Xuenong Zou Zhiyu Zhou Shaoyu Liu | 2021 | Bioactive Materials2021,6,10: | 2 |

A total of 30 samples were collected and analyzed for major cations and anions. The Eh-p H diagrams identified Fe2O3 as the dominant iron species, while 2?4SO was the dominant sulfide species, which indicates acid production. The major acid producing minerals undergoing oxidation were identified to be pyrite, pyrrhotite, arsenopyrite and siderite. Other secondary sulfide minerals that contributed to 2?4SO concentration in the groundwater were gypsum and epsomite. Calcite and dolomite were the main buffering carbonate minerals. | 9 | H_(2)O_(2)mediates transcriptome reprogramming during Soybean mosaic virus-induced callose deposition in soybean显示文摘The main defense response to Soybean mosaic virus(SMV)infection in soybean[Glycine max(L.)Merr.]is thought to be blockage of intercellular virus transport by callose deposition on plasmodesmata.But the specific regulatory mechanism remains largely unknown.In this study,we found that hydrogen peroxide(H_(2)O_(2))signal downstream of NO was associated with the regulation of callose accumulation.Abundant H_(2)O_(2)was produced on the cell membrane and cell wall in the incompatible combination of soybean cultivar Jidou 7 and SMV strain N3,whereas no obvious H_(2)O_(2)was observed in the compatible combination of Jidou 7 and strain SC-8.When H_(2)O_(2)production was inhibited,callose accumulation induced by SMV infection decreased to a level insufficient to restrict virus transport in the incompatible combination.The H_(2)O_(2)-associated transcriptome dynamics of soybean during SMV infection was investigated.Transcriptome and functional analysis using virus-induced gene silencing showed that Gm SEOB and Gm PAP27,two genes regulated by H_(2)O_(2),functioned in resistance by positively regulating the accumulation of callose in response to SMV infection.These results lay a foundation for further research on the signal transduction and molecular regulation of callose deposition during soybean resistance to SMV infection. | Tianjie Sun Xizhe Sun Fukuan Li Nan Ma Mengxuan Wang Yan Chen Na Liu Yuan Jin Jie Zhang Chunyan Hou Chunyan Yang Dongmei Wang | 2022 | The Crop Journal2022,10,1: | 1 |
