1Design and experiments of an active isolator for satellite micro-vibration显示文摘In this paper, a soft active isolator(SAI) derived from a voice coil motor is studied to determine its abilities as a micro-vibration isolation device for sensitive satellite payloads. Firstly,the two most important parts of the SAI, the mechanical unit and the low-noise driver, are designed and manufactured. Then, a rigid-flexible coupling dynamic model of the SAI is built, and a dynamic analysis is conducted. Furthermore, a controller with a sky-hook damper is designed. Finally,results from the performance tests of the mechanical/electronic parts and the isolation experiments are presented. 2Decreased b-Cell Function is Associated with Cardiovascular Autonomic Neuropathy in Chinese Patients Newly Diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes显示文摘The influence of b-cell function on cardiovascular autonomic neuropathy(CAN), an important diabetesrelated complication, is still unclear. In this study, we aimed to investigate the association between residual b-cell function and CAN in patients newly diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. We enrolled 90 newly-diagnosed type 2 diabetic patients and 37 participants with normal glucose tolerance as controls. The patients were divided into a CAN? group(diabetic patients with CAN, n = 20) and a CAN-group(diabetic patients without CAN, n = 70) according to the standard Ewing battery of tests. Fasting and postprandial plasma glucose, insulin, and C-peptide were measured.Homeostasis model assessment-beta cells(HOMA-B) and HOMA-insulin resistance(IR) were calculated. The prevalence of CAN in this population was 22.2%. Compared with the CAN-group, the CAN? group had significantly lower fasting plasma insulin(6.60 ± 4.39 vs 10.45 ± 7.82 l/L, P = 0.029), fasting C-peptide(0.51 ± 0.20 vs0.82 ± 0.51 nmol/L, P = 0.004), and HOMA-B(21.44 ± 17.06 vs 44.17 ± 38.49, P = 0.002). Fasting C-peptide was correlated with the Valsalva ratio(r = 0.24, P = 0.043) and the 30:15 test(r = 0.26,P = 0.023). Further analysis showed that fasting C-peptide(OR: 0.041, 95% CI 0.003–0.501, P = 0.012) and HOMAB(OR: 0.965, 95% CI 0.934–0.996, P = 0.028) were independently associated with cardiovascular autonomic nerve function in this population. The patients with fasting C-peptide values \ 0.67 nmol/L were more likely to have CAN than those with C-peptide levels C0.67 nmol/L(OR:6.00, 95% CI 1.815–19.830, P = 0.003). A high prevalence of CAN was found in patients with newly-diagnosed type 2 diabetes. 3Insulin requirement profiles and related factors of insulin pump therapy in patients with type 2 diabetes显示文摘Continuous subcutaneous insulin infusion(CSII)is an effective therapy to control hyperglycemia in both patients with type 1 diabetes and type 2 diabetes.However,there is little data investigating the insulin dose setting during CSII therapy in type 2 diabetes to achieve optimal glycemic control and avoid the risk of hypoglycemia.Thus,this study is aimed to assess the dose characteristics of insulin requirement and explore the related clinical factors in patients with type 2 diabetes who were treated with CSII.A total of 327 patients(195 males)aged 52.9±12.5 years old were included in this study.Patients were treated with CSII to achieve the target fasting capillary blood glucose(4.4-7.0 mmol L^(-1))and 2-h postprandial capillary blood glucose(4.4-10.0 mmol L^(-1))by adjusting insulin infusion according to the seven-point capillary blood glucose profiles.Total daily insulin dose(TDD),total daily insulin dose per kilogram(TDD kg-1)and the ratio of total basal insulin dose(TBD)to TDD(%TBa)were calculated after patients achieved the glucose targets for at least 3 days via 1-2 weeks of CSII treatment.And insulin dose,insulin dosing patterns and the relevant clinical factors were analyzed.The mean ratio of basal/bolus insulin distribution of all patients was 40%:60%.Patients with central obesity needed more TDD(51.3±17.1 U versus 43.5±14.0 U,P<0.05)and TDD kg^(-1)(0.8±0.3 U kg^(-1)versus 0.7±0.2 U kg^(-1),P<0.05)than those without central obesity.Pearson's correlation analysis demonstrated that TDD was positively correlated with body mass index(BMI),waist circumference(WC),baseline fasting plasma glucose(FPG),fasting C-peptide level,2 h-postprandial C-peptide level and time to achieve glycemic target(all P<0.05);TDD kg^(-1)was positively correlated with waist-to-hip ratio(WHR),baseline FPG,glycosylated hemoglobin Ale(HbAlc),fasting C-peptide level and time to achieve glycemic target,and negatively correlated with BMI(all P<0.05).Multiple linear regression analyses revealed that BMI(β=1.796,P<0.01),WC(β=0.109,P<0.01),baseline FPG(β=1.459,P<0.01)and HbAlc(β=0.930,P=0.021)were independently related to TDD.Gender(β=-0.107,P=0.003),WC(β=0.005,P=0.029),baseline FPG(β=0.025,P<0.01)and HbAlc(β=0.016,β=0.007)were independently associated with TDD kg^(-1).Gender(β=-0.015,P=0.048)and disease duration(β=0.134,P=0.029)were independently associated with%TBa.%TBa is around 40%in Chinese patients with type 2 diabetes treated with CSII when glycemic control is achieved.In addition to body weight or BMI,WC and glucose levels before CSII should be considered to set TDD.Patients with central obesity or poor glycemic control might need more TDD.Higher%TBa should be considered in female patients or patients with longer disease duration.Xubin Yang Hongrong Deng Xiuzhen Zhang Daizhi Yang Jinhua Yan Bin Yao Jianping Weng Wen Xu 2019Science China(Life Sciences)2019,62,11:6

5RBC:A Memory Architecture for Improved Performance and Energy Efficiency显示文摘DRAM-based memory suffers from increasing row buffer conflicts,which causes significant performance degradation and power consumption.As memory capacity increases,the overheads of the row buffer conflict are increasingly worse as increasing bitline length,which results in high row activation and precharge latencies.In this work,we propose a practical approach called Row Buffer Cache(RBC)to mitigate row buffer conflict overheads efficiently.At the core of our proposed RBC architecture,the rows with good spatial locality are cached and protected,which are exempted from being interrupted by the accesses for rows with poor locality.Such an RBC architecture significantly reduces the overheads of performance and energy caused by row activation and precharge,and thus improves overall system performance and energy efficiency.We evaluate RBC architecture using SPEC CPU2006 on a DDR4 memory compared to a commodity baseline memory system.Results show that RBC improves the overall performance by up to 2:24(16:1%on average)and reduces the memory energy by up to 68:2%(23:6%on average)for single-core simulations.For multi-core simulations,RBC increases the overall performance by up to1:55(17%on average)and reduces memory energy consumption by up to 35:4%(21:3%on average).Wenjie Liu Ke Zhou Ping Huang Tianming Yang Xubin He 2021Tsinghua Science and Technology2021,26,3:1

12Preparation of Vitamin E Intermediate from an Inexpensive Substrate by Selective Oxidation of Pseudocumene in HCOOH–H_2O_2 System显示文摘In this paper, 2,3,5-trimethyl-1,4-benzoquinone(TMBQ) was synthesized through the direct oxidation of1,2,4-trimethylbenzene(pseudocumene, TMB) in the HCOOH–H_2O_2 system. The influence ofthree active species was studied, including performic acid(PFA) generated in formic acid, peracetic acid(PAA) generated in acetic acid, and trifluoroperacetic(TFPA) acid generated in trifluoroacetic acid. The effects ofsulfuric acid and sodium formate addition were investigated, the overoxidation ofTMB was discussed, and the main reason for the decreasing selectivity was revealed. The oxidation ofTMB can be controlled and improved through adjusting the reaction temperature, mole ratio ofoxidant to substrate, and reactant concentration. The TMBQ yield of28% was achieved with a TMB concentration of0.2 mol/L, H_2O_2/TMB mole ratio of6:1, and reaction temperature 37 °C. The selectivity of72% was obtained with a TMB concentration of0.2 mol/L, H_2O_2/TMB mole ratio of5:1, and reaction temperature of27 °C. 16Novel CoFeAlMn high-entropy alloys with excellentsoft magnetic properties and high thermal stability显示文摘High-entropy alloys(HEAs),which are composed of 3d transition metals such as Fe,Co,and Ni,exhibit an exceptional combination of magnetic and other properties;however,the addition of non-ferromagnetic elements always negatively affects the saturation magnetization strength(M s).Co_(4)Fe_(2)Al_(x)Mn_(y) alloys were designed and investigated in this study to develop a novel HEA with excellent soft magnetic properties.The Co_(4)Fe_(2)Al_(1.5)Mn_(1.5) HEA possesses the highest M s of 161.3 emu g^(-1) thus far reported for magnetic HEAs,a low coercivity of 1.9 Oe,a high electrical resistivity of 173μΩ cm,a superior thermal stability up to 600℃,which originates from the novel microstructure of B2 nanoparticles distributed in a DO_(3) matrix phase,and the crucial transition of Mn from antiferromagnetism to ferromagnetism with the assistance of Al.The Co_(4)Fe_(2_)Al_(1.5)Mn_(1.5) HEA was selected to produce micron-sized powder and soft magnetic powder cores(SMPCs)for application in the exploration field.The SMPCs exhibit a high stable effective perme-ability of 35.9 up to 1 MHz,low core loss of 38.1 mW cm^(-3)(@100 kHz,20 mT),and an excellent direct current(DC)bias performance of 87.7%at 100 Oe.This study paves the way for the development of soft magnetic HEAs with promising applications as magnetic functional materials.Wei Gao Yaqiang Dong Xingjie Jia Liping Yang Xubin Li Shouding Wu Ronglin Zhao Hang Wu Qiang Li Aina He Jiawei Li 2023Journal of Materials Science & Technology2023,,22:0
17A Recombination Clustering Technique for Forecasting of Tropical Cyclone Tracks Based on the CMA-TRAMS Ensemble Prediction System显示文摘Despite marked improvements in tropical cyclone(TC) track ensemble forecasting,forecasters still have difficulty in making quick decisions when facing multiple potential predictions,so it is demanding to develop post-processing techniques reducing the uncertainty in TC track forecasts,and one of such techniques is the cluster-based methods.To improve the effect and efficiency of the previous cluster-based methods,this study adopts recombination clustering(RC) by optimizing the use of limited TC variables and constructing better features that can accurately capture the good TC track forecasts from the ensemble prediction system(EPS) of the China Meteorological Administration Tropical Regional Atmosphere Model for the South China Sea(CMA-TRAMS).The RC technique is further optimized by constraining the number of clusters using the absolute track bias between the ensemble mean(EM) and ensemble spread(ES).Finally,the RC-based deterministic and weighted probabilistic forecasts are compared with the TC track forecasts from traditional methods.It is found that(1) for deterministic TC track forecasts,the RC-based TC track forecasts outperform all other methods at 12–72-h lead times;compared with the skillful EM(118.6 km),the improvements introduced by the use of RC reach up to 10.8%(8.1 km),10.2%(13.7 km),and 8.7%(20.5 km) at forecast times of 24,48,and 72 h,respectively.(2) For probabilistic TC track forecasts,RC yields significantly more accurate and discriminative forecasts than traditional equal-weight track forecasts,by increasing the weight of the best cluster,with a decrease of 4.1% in brier score(BS) and an increase of 1.4% in area under the relative operating characteristic curve(AUC).(3) In particular,for cases with recurved tracks,such as typhoons Saudel(2017) and Bavi(2008),RC significantly reduces track errors relative to EM by 56.0%(125.5 km) and 77.7%(192.2 km),respectively.Our results demonstrate that the RC technique not only improves TC track forecasts but also helps to unravel skillful ensemble members,and is likely useful for feature construction in machine learning.Jinqing LIU Xubin ZHANG Zejun DAI Hui ZHOU Zhaoli YANG 2023Journal of Meteorological Research2023,37,6:0
18Metformin alleviates LTA-induced inflammatory response through PPARγ/MAPK/NF-κB signaling pathway in bovine mammary epithelial cells显示文摘Mastitis is a common inflammatory cow mammary infection;that causes significant economic loss in dairy industry.Given the interesting connection between metformin’s anti-inflammatory function and mastitis model induced by LTA in pbMECs,our objective was to prove that metformin was beneficial in suppressing proinflammatory response induced by LTA through modulation of mitogen-activated protein kinase(MAPK)and nuclear factor kappa B(NF-κB)signaling pathways and activation of peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor-γ(PPARγ)in pbMECs.The proliferation of cells and mRNA expression were measured using EdU assay and quantitative reverse transcriptase-polymerase chain reaction(qRT-PCR).Immunoblotting and immunofluorescence analysis were conducted to evaluate the expression of target proteins in inflammatory and anti-inflammatory responses to metformin and LTA.Finally,pbMECs were allowed to treat with the PPAR antagonist GW9662,and inflammatory markers were detected in the cells.Our results showed that LTA concentration at 100μg/mL significantly stimulated the MAPK14,IL-6 and IL-1βmRNA expressions compared to the control cells(P<0.05)in dose-dependent tests for LTA.Metformin suppressed the phosphorylation expressions of MAPK(ERK1/2,p38,and JNK)in LTA-stimulated pbMECs.Metformin also reduced the protein expression of NF-κB,interleukin-8(IL-8),interleukin-1β(IL-1β)and interleukin-6(IL-6)in pbMECs pretreated with LTA.Metformin administration activated PPARγphosphorylation by up-regulating the expression of PPARγin LTA-stimulated pbMECs.Treatment with GW9662 resulted in increased IL-6 expression,which was reversed by metformin.These findings collectively indicated that metformin act to attenuate LTA-stimulated inflammatory response in pbMECs by suppressing MAPK and NF-κB activation via a mechanism partially dependent on PPARγactivation.These results suggested that metformin could function as an anti-inflammatory drug in the treatment of mastitis.ABDELAZIZ ADAM IDRISS ARBAB CHUNQING YIN XUBIN LU YAN LIANG ISMAIL MOHAMED ABDALLA AMER ADAM IDRIS TIANLE XU YONGJIANG MAO ZHANGPING YANG 2022BIOCELL2022,46,11:0
19Large magnetic entropy change in weberite-type oxides Gd_(3)MO_(7)(M=Nb,Sb,and Ta)显示文摘In the present work,the structure,magnetic properties,and cryogenic magnetocaloric effect of weberite-type oxides Gd_(3)MO_(7)(M=Nb,Sb,and Ta)are reported through powder X-ray diffraction,bulk susceptibility,and heat capacity measurements,as well as scaling law analysis and a mean-field approach.A remarkably large isothermal magnetic entropy change of 354.0 m J K^(-1)cm^(-3)is observed for Gd_(3)SbO_(7)under an external field of 9 T at 2.0 K.The relative cooling power is estimated to be 618.9 J kg^(-1)(4.8 J cm^(-3))for an applied field of 8.9 T,with the largest adiabatic temperature change being 22.4 K at 6.3 K.The magnetocaloric performance of these oxides is quite impressive when compared with the benchmark magnetic refrigerant,gadolinium gallium garnet(Gd_(3)Ga_(5)O_(12),GGG).Therefore,Gd_(3)MO_(7)(M=Nb,Sb,and Ta)are promising alternatives for cryogenic cooling techniques,especially for the magnetic liquefaction of helium.Ziyu Yang Shijun Qin Xubin Ye Zhehong Liu Yujie Guo Hongzhi Cui Jun-Yi Ge Hui Li Youwen Long Yu-Jia Zeng 2022Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2022,65,4:0
