| 1 | Mapping and characterization of a tiller-spreading mutant lazy-2 in rice显示文摘Tiller angle of rice is an important agronomic trait that contributes to breed new varieties with ideal archi-tecture. In this study, we report mapping and characteriza-tion of a rice mutant defective in tiller angle. At the seedling stage, the newly developed tillers of the mutant plants grow with a large angle that leads to a lazy phenotype at the mature stage. Genetic analysis indicates that this tiller- spreading phenotype is controlled by one recessive gene that is allelic to a reported mutant la. Therefore, the mutant was named la-2 and la renamed la-1. To map and clone LA, we constructed a large mapping population. Genetic linkage analysis showed that the LA gene is located between 2 SSR markers RM202 and RM229. | 2 | Properties of Xanthoceras sorbifolia Husk Fibers With Chemical Treatment for Applications in Polymer Composites显示文摘Surface science of natural fibers plays an important role in polymer/natural fiber composites. The Xanthoceras sorbifolia husk fibers were selected and chemically treated by sodium hydroxide(Na OH) solution,coupling agents,their combination,and the mixtures of acetic acid with hydrogen peroxide,respectively. 3-aminopropyltriethoxysilane(KH550),γ-methacryloxypropyltrimethoxylsilane(KH570) and organic titanate(JN-9A) were used as coupling agents in this work. Cellulose content was found to be increased after alkalization due to the removal of the non-cellulose substances,which was evidenced by attenuated total reflectance-Fourier transform infrared(ATR e FTIR) spectroscopy spectrum analysis and thermogravimetric analysis(TGA) measurements. The highest cellulose content was obtained in the bleached fibers. TGA analysis revealed an improvement in thermal stability of the treated fibers,especially for alkali-KH570 treated fibers. | 3 | Distribution of methylsiloxanes in benthic mollusks from the Chinese Bohai Sea显示文摘Methylsiloxanes are a class of silicone compounds that have been widely used in various industrial processes and personal care products for several decades. This study investigated the spatial distribution of three cyclic methylsiloxanes(D4–D6) and twelve linear methylsiloxanes(L5–L16) in mollusks collected from seven cities along the Bohai Sea. D4–D6(df = 71%–81%) and L8–L16(df = 32%–40%) were frequently detectable in the mollusk samples, while L5–L7 were not found in any mollusk samples. Cyclic methylsiloxanes(D4–D6) were found in mollusks with the mean concentrations of 15.7 ± 12.3 ng/g ww for D4,24.6 ± 15.8 ng/g ww for D5 and 34.0 ± 23.0 ng/g ww for D6. Among the seven sampling cities, the cyclic methylsiloxanes were predominant in mollusks, with the total cyclic methylsiloxanes(sum of D4–D6, ∑ CMS) accounting for 74.2%–80.7% of the total methylsiloxanes. ∑ CMS along the coastline demonstrated a clear gradient, with the highest concentrations in mollusks at the sampling sites located in the western part of the Bohai Sea and the lowest concentrations in mollusks from cities located in the eastern part of the Bohai Sea. | 10 | Versatile band structure and electron-phonon coupling in layered PtSe_(2) with strong interlayer interaction显示文摘The large tunability in the band structure is ubiquitous in two-dimensional(2D)materials,and PtSe_(2) is not an exception,which has attracted considerable attention in electronic and optoelectronic applications due to its high carrier mobility and long-term airstability.Such dimensional dependent properties are closely related to the evolution of electronic band structures.Critical points(CPs),the extrema or saddle points of electronic bands,are the cornerstone of condensed-matter physics and fundamentally determine the optical and transport phenomena of the layered PtSe_(2).Here,we have experimentally revealed the detailed electronic structures in layered PtSe_(2),including the CPs in the Brillouin zones(BZs),by means of reflection contrast spectroscopy and spectroscopic ellipsometry(SE).There are three critical points in the BZs attributed to the excitonic transition,quasi-particle band gap,and the band nesting effect related transition,respectively.Three CPs show red-shifting trends with increasing layer number under the mechanism of strong interlayer coupling.We have further revealed the electron–phonon(e–ph)interaction in such layered material,utilizing temperature-dependent absorbance spectroscopy.The strength of e–ph interaction and the average phonon energy also decline with the increasement of layer number.Our findings give a deep understanding to the physics of the layer-dependent evolution of the electronic structure of PtSe_(2),potentially leading to applications in optoelectronics and electronic devices. | Junbo He Xudan Zhu Weiming Liu Ertao Hu Jianlu Wang Rongjun Zhang | 2022 | Nano Research2022,15,7: | 1 |

| 12 | Interannual Variations of Phytoplankton, Zooplankton and Chlorophyll a in the Arctic Seas and Their Relations to ENSO and AO显示文摘To study effects of variations in climate-marine environment in the Arctic Ocean on ecology,based on the actual and reestablished data by biomarkers of algae in sediment in 1997,1999,2003,2008,and 2010,the interannual and spatial variations of phytoplankton,zooplankton and chlorophyll a concentration in the Chukchi Sea and the Bering Sea as well as their relations to El Nino-Southern Oscillation( ENSO) and Arctic Oscillation( AO) were analyzed. The results show that there were spatial and temporal anomalies in the phytoplankton community structure reestablished by biomarkers of algae in the Chukchi Sea and the Bering Sea in 1999 and 2010. The total content of biomarkers( brassicasterol,dinosterol,C37 alkenones and chlesterol) in sediment collected in 2010 was far lower than that in 1999,but brassicasterol was dominant in the two years,that is,diatom was dominant,which was consistent with the actual structure and distribution of phytoplankton community in 1999 and 2010; there were great changes in the dominant species of plankton in the two seas in 1999 and 2010,which could be regarded as the ecological response of the North Pole under the background of global warming. Chlorophyll a concentration in the water of the Bering Sea was 0. 720 μg/dm^3 at 0 m and 0. 765μg/dm^3 at 10 m in 1997 and 0. 723 μg/dm^3 at 0 m and 0. 731 μg/dm^3 at 10 m in 2003,and the concentration was very close to each other,which was affected by El Ni1 o and the negative phase of AO. It was 0. 395 μg/dm^3 at 0 m in 1999 and 0. 399 μg/dm^3 at 0 m and 0. 357 μg/dm^3 at 10 m in 2008,which was influenced by La Ni1 a and the positive phase of AO. The phases and intensity of AO and ENSO had various effects on the quantity and dominant species of phytoplankton and zooplankton in the Chukchi Sea and the Bering Sea. During the period of AO with positive or negative phase and El Ni1o( in 1997 and 2003),their combination was favorable to the growth of phytoplankton and zooplankton,while the combination of negative phase of AO and La Nina( in 2010) had adverse effects on the growth of phytoplankton. | 13 | Effects of interlayer coupling on the excitons and electronic structures of WS_(2)/hBN/MoS_(2) van der Waals heterostructures显示文摘Inserting hexagonal boron nitride(hBN)as barrier layers into bilayer transition metal dichalcogenides heterointerface has been proved an efficient method to improve two dimensional tunneling optoelectronic device performance.Nevertheless,the physical picture of interlayer coupling effect during incorporation of monolayer(1L-)hBN is not explicit yet.In this article,spectroscopic ellipsometry was used to experimentally obtain the broadband excitonic and critical point properties of WS_(2)/MoS_(2)and WS_(2)/hBN/MoS_(2)van der Waals heterostructures.We find that 1L-hBN can only slightly block the interlayer electron transfer from WS_(2)layer to MoS_(2)layer.Moreover,insertion of 1L-hBN weakens the interlayer coupling effect by releasing quantum confinement and reducing efficient dielectric screening.Consequently,the exciton binding energies in WS_(2)/hBN/MoS_(2)heterostructures blueshift comparing to those in WS_(2)/MoS_(2)heterostructures.In this exciton binding energies tuning process,the reducing dielectric screening effect plays a leading role.In the meantime,the quasi-particle(QP)bandgap remains unchanged before and after 1L-hBN insertion,which is attributed to released quantum confinement and decreased dielectric screening effects canceling each other.Unchanged QP bandgap as along with blueshift exciton binding energies lead to the redshift exciton transition energies in WS_(2)/hBN/MoS_(2)heterostructures. | Xudan Zhu Junbo He Rongjun Zhang Chunxiao Cong Yuxiang Zheng Hao Zhang Songyou Wang Haibin Zhao Meiping Zhu Shanwen Zhang Shaojuan Li Liangyao Chen | 2022 | Nano Research2022,15,3: | 1 |

| 16 | Expression of acetylated histone 3 in the spinal cord and the effect of morphine on inflammatory pain in rats显示文摘In this study, a rat model of inflammatory pain was produced by injecting complete Freund's adjuvant into the hind paw, and the expression of acetylated histone 3 in the spinal cord dorsal horn was examined using immunohistochemical staining. One day following injection, there was a dramatic decrease in acetylated histone 3 expression in spinal cord dorsal horn neurons. However, on day 7, expression recovered in adjuvant-injected rats. While acetylated histone 3 labeling was present in dorsal horn neurons, it was more abundant in astrocytes and microglial cells. The recovery of acetylated histone 3 expression was associated with a shift in expression of the protein from neurons to glial cells. Morphine injection significantly upregulated the expression of acetylated histone 3 in spinal cord dorsal horn neurons and glial cells 1 day after injection, especially in astrocytes, preventing the transient downregulation. Our results indicate that inflammatory pain induces a transient downregulation of acetylated histone 3 in the spinal cord dorsal horn at an early stage following adjuvant injection, and that this effect can be reversed by morphine. | 20 | Distribution and Sources of Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons in the Sediment Cores M2 from the Prydz Bay and Implications for Sedimentary Environment显示文摘In this study, the polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) from the sediment cores M2 in the Pryza Bay of the Antarctica were quantitatively measured using GC-MS analysis, and it is found that the PAHs mainly included bicyclic naphthalene compounds, tricyclic phenanthrene and fluorine series (dibenzofuran and dibenzothiophene), and tetracyclic fluoranthene, pyrene and chrysene series. The results showed that the phenanthrene series with low molecular weight (tricyclic compounds) had a relatively higher content than the series with high molecular weight (tetracyclic compounds). The fluoranthene/(fluoranthene and pyrene) ratio of M2 varied from 0.46 to 0.54. Integrated with the content of 1,7-dimethylphenanthrene and terrigenous chrysene, it is inferred that PAHs in the sediments from the Pryzd Bay were originated from a mixed source of the products of petroleum, refined products and coal combustion, natural source and terrigenous higher plants. Complete methyl dibenzothiophene and dimethyldibenzothiophene series compounds were detected in the sediment cores, which are closely associated with a reducing environment. The ratio of dibenzothiophene to dibenzofuran was between 0.46 and 3.21, mostly greater than 0.7. Combined with the oxidation/reduction index (Pr/Ph) ranging from 0.45 to 0.61 for the sediment cores, it is indicated that these compounds were formed in a normal reducing environment. Geochemical parameters of PAHs such as TNR-1 (0.53-1.57), MPI (0.24-1.21), MDR (1.83-5.57), and MDBI (0.41-0.93), and maturity parameters such as C 29 /C 29 (+), C 31 22S/C 31 (22S+22R), C 32 22S/C 32 (22S+22R) and Ts/(Tm+Ts) were all indicative of high maturity.
