1Comparative analyses of leaf anatomy of dicotyledonous species in Tibetan and Inner Mongolian grasslands显示文摘Knowledge of the leaf anatomy of grassland plants is crucial for understanding how these plants adapt to the environment. Tibetan alpine grasslands and Inner Mongolian temperate grasslands are two major grassland types in northern China. Tibetan alpine grasslands occur in high-altitude regions where the low temperatures limit plant growth. Inner Mongolian temperate grasslands are found in arid regions where moisture is the limiting factor. Few comparative studies concerning the leaf anatomy of grassland plants of the Tibetan Plateau and Inner Mongolian Plateau have been conducted. We examined leaf characteristics at 71 sites and among 65 species, across the alpine grasslands of the Tibetan Plateau and the temperate grasslands of the Inner Mongolian Plateau. We compared the leaf structures of plants with different life forms and taxonomies, and their adaptation to arid or cold environments. We explored relationships among leaf features and the effects of climatic factors (i.e., growing season temperature and precipitation) on leaf characteristics. Our results showed that (i) there were significant differences in leaf anatomy between Tibetan alpine and Inner Mongolian temperate grasslands. Except for mesophyll cell density, the values obtained for thickness of leaf tissue, surface area and volume of mesophyll cells were larger on the Tibetan Plateau than on the Inner Mongolian Plateau. (ii) Within the same family or genus, leaf anatomy showed significant differences between two regions, and trends were consistent with those of whole species. (iii) Leaf anatomy of woody and herbaceous plants also showed significant differences between the regions. Except for mesophyll cell density, the values obtained for the thickness of leaf tissue, and the surface area and volume of mesophyll cells were larger in herbaceous than in woody plants. (iv) Leaf anatomical traits changed accordingly. Total leaf thickness, thicknesses of lower and upper epidermal cells, and surface area and volume of mesophyll cells were positively correlated, while mesophyll cell density was negatively associated with those traits. (v) Growing season temperature had stronger effects on leaf anatomy than growing season precipitation. 2The Oral Microbiome Bank of China显示文摘The human microbiome project(HMP) promoted further understanding of human oral microbes. However, research on the human oral microbiota has not made as much progress as research on the gut microbiota. Currently, the causal relationship between the oral microbiota and oral diseases remains unclear, and little is known about the link between the oral microbiota and human systemic diseases. To further understand the contribution of the oral microbiota in oral diseases and systemic diseases, a Human Oral Microbiome Database(HOMD) was established in the US. The HOMD includes 619 taxa in 13 phyla, and most of the microorganisms are from American populations. Due to individual differences in the microbiome, the HOMD does not reflect the Chinese oral microbial status. Herein, we established a new oral microbiome database—the Oral Microbiome Bank of China(OMBC,http://www.sklod.org/ombc). Currently, the OMBC includes information on 289 bacterial strains and 720 clinical samples from the Chinese population, along with lab and clinical information. 3Salivary mycobiome dysbiosis and its potential impact on bacteriome shifts and host immunity in oral lichen planus显示文摘The biodiversity of the mycobiome,an important component of the oral microbial community,and the roles of fungal–bacterial and fungal–immune system interactions in the pathogenesis of oral lichen planus (OLP) remain largely uncharacterized.In this study,we sequenced the salivary mycobiome and bacteriome associated with OLP.First,we described the dysbiosis of the microbiome in OLP patients,which exhibits lower levels of fungi and higher levels of bacteria.Significantly higher abundances of the fungi Candida and Aspergillus in patients with reticular OLP and of Alternaria and Sclerotiniaceae_unidentified in patients with erosive OLP were observed compared to the healthy controls.Aspergillus was identified as an “OLP-associated” fungus because of its detection at a higher frequency than in the healthy controls.Second,the co-occurrence patterns of the salivary mycobiome–bacteriome demonstrated negative associations between specific fungal and bacterial taxa identified in the healthy controls,which diminished in the reticular OLP group and even became positive in the erosive OLP group.Moreover,the oral cavities of OLP patients were colonized by dysbiotic oral flora with lower ecological network complexity and decreased fungal–Firmicutes and increased fungal–Bacteroidetes sub-networks.Third,several keystone fungal genera (Bovista,Erysiphe,Psathyrella,etc.) demonstrated significant correlations with clinical scores and IL-17 levels.Thus,we established that fungal dysbiosis is associated with the aggravation of OLP.Fungal dysbiosis could alter the salivary bacteriome or may reflect a direct effect of host immunity,which participates in OLP pathogenesis.Yan Li Kun Wang Bo Zhang Qichao Tu Yufei Yao Bomiao Cui Biao Ren Jinzhi He Xin Shen Joy D.Van Nostrand Jizhong Zhou Wenyuan Shi Liying Xiao Changqing Lu Xuedong Zhou 2019International Journal of Oral Science2019,11,3:8

5DYNAMIC CHARACTERISTIC ANALY-SIS OF PRECISE LONG STROKE LINEAR MOTOR WITH AIR-BEARING IN OPTICAL LITHOGRAPHY显示文摘Dynamic characteristic is presented by identifying the model and the dynamic parameters of a precise long stroke linear motor (PLSLM) with the air-bearing in optical lithography.The PLSLM is supported by air-bearing on the stator,and is driven by on-board two large linear motors in a cross-configuration.Firstly,a model of the PLSLM is established by finite element method (FEM). Secondly,based on the model,the natural frequencies and model shapes are discussed.And the contribution of each active mode is evaluated by computing the modal participation factors (MPF), which indicates the major vibration direction.Furthermore,by the experimental modal analysis,the experimental results are in agreement with simulation results,which it is sure that the FEM is reasonable.What′s more,comparing with the effects on the frequency due to the air-bearing stiffness, the relations of the natural frequencies with the air-bearing stiffness are found.It is found that the frequency response curve is fluctuant with the air-bearing stiffness in each direction.Finally,it is conclusion that the natural frequency of the PLSLM is largely affected by the air-bearing stiffness variety.This research is contributed to the dynamic characteristics resulted from the air-bearing stiffness.Further work will include better optimization on the dynamic parameter in the controller design through the control algorithm for the precise long stroke motor.CHEN Xuedong YU Xianzhong HE Xueming YAN Tianhong 2008Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2008,21,2:4
62D interspace confined growth of ultrathin MoS_(2)-intercalated graphite hetero-layers for high-rate Li/K storage显示文摘Herein,a two-dimensional(2D)interspace-confined synthetic strategy is developed for producing MoS_(2)intercalated graphite(G-MoS_(2))hetero-layers composite through sulfuring the pre-synthesized stage-1 MoCI5-graphite intercalation compound(M0 CI5-GIC).The in situ grown MoS_(2)nanosheets(3-7 layers)are evenly encapsulated in graphite layers with intimate interface thus forming layer-by-layer MoS_(2)-intercalated graphite composite.In this structure,the unique merits of MoS_(2)and graphite components are integrated,such as high capacity contribution of MoS_(2)and the flexibility of graphite layers.Besides,the tight interfacial interaction between hetero-layers optimizes the potential of conductive graphite layers as matrix for MoS_(2).As a result,the G-MoS_(2)exhibits a high reversible Li+storage of 344 mAh·g^(-1)even at 10 A·g^(-1)and a capacity of 539.9 mAh·g^(-1)after 1,500 cycles at 5 A·g^(-1).As for potassium ion battery,G-MoS_(2)delivers a reversible capacity of 377.0 mAh·g^(-1)at 0.1 A·g^(-1)and 141.2 mAh·g^(-1)even at 2 A·g^(-1).Detailed experiments and density functional theory calculation demonstrate the existence of hetero-layers enhances the diffusion rates of Li^(+)and K^(+).This graphite interspace-confined synthetic methodology would provide new ideas for preparing function-integrated materials in energy storage and conversion,catalysis or other fields.Yang Li Song Jiang Yong Qian Xuedong Yan Jie Zhou Zheng Yi Ning Lin Yitai Qian 2021Nano Research2021,14,4:3

8Chronic inflammation deteriorates structure and function of collagen fibril in rat temporomandibular joint disc显示文摘Collagen is the building component of temporomandibular joint(TMJ) discs and is often affected by inflammation in temporomandibular disorders. The macromechanical properties of collagen are deteriorated by chronic inflammation. However,the mechanism by which inflammation influences disc function remains unknown. The relationship between the ultrastructure and nanomechanical properties of collagen in inflamed discs should be clarified. Seven-week-old female Sprague–Dawley rats were randomly divided into two groups. Chronic TMJ inflammation was induced by intra-articular injection of complete Freund's adjuvant, and samples were harvested after 5 weeks. Picrosirius staining revealed multiple colours under polarized light, which represented alternative collagen bundles in inflamed discs. Using atomic force microscopy scanning, the magnitude of Young's modulus was reduced significantly accompanied with disordered collagen fibril arrangement with porous architecture of inflamed discs. Transmission electron microscopy scanning revealed a non-uniform distribution of collagen fibres, and oversized collagen fibrils were observed in inflamed discs. Fourier transform infrared microspectroscopy revealed a decrease in 1 338 cm^(-1)/amide II area ratio of collagen in different regions. The peak positions of amide I and amide II bands were altered in inflamed discs,indicating collagen unfolding.
