| 1 | Salivary mycobiome dysbiosis and its potential impact on bacteriome shifts and host immunity in oral lichen planus显示文摘The biodiversity of the mycobiome,an important component of the oral microbial community,and the roles of fungal–bacterial and fungal–immune system interactions in the pathogenesis of oral lichen planus (OLP) remain largely uncharacterized.In this study,we sequenced the salivary mycobiome and bacteriome associated with OLP.First,we described the dysbiosis of the microbiome in OLP patients,which exhibits lower levels of fungi and higher levels of bacteria.Significantly higher abundances of the fungi Candida and Aspergillus in patients with reticular OLP and of Alternaria and Sclerotiniaceae_unidentified in patients with erosive OLP were observed compared to the healthy controls.Aspergillus was identified as an “OLP-associated” fungus because of its detection at a higher frequency than in the healthy controls.Second,the co-occurrence patterns of the salivary mycobiome–bacteriome demonstrated negative associations between specific fungal and bacterial taxa identified in the healthy controls,which diminished in the reticular OLP group and even became positive in the erosive OLP group.Moreover,the oral cavities of OLP patients were colonized by dysbiotic oral flora with lower ecological network complexity and decreased fungal–Firmicutes and increased fungal–Bacteroidetes sub-networks.Third,several keystone fungal genera (Bovista,Erysiphe,Psathyrella,etc.) demonstrated significant correlations with clinical scores and IL-17 levels.Thus,we established that fungal dysbiosis is associated with the aggravation of OLP.Fungal dysbiosis could alter the salivary bacteriome or may reflect a direct effect of host immunity,which participates in OLP pathogenesis. | Yan Li Kun Wang Bo Zhang Qichao Tu Yufei Yao Bomiao Cui Biao Ren Jinzhi He Xin Shen Joy D.Van Nostrand Jizhong Zhou Wenyuan Shi Liying Xiao Changqing Lu Xuedong Zhou | 2019 | International Journal of Oral Science2019,11,3: | 8 |
| 2 | Genome-wide identification and co-expression network analysis of the Os NF-Y gene family in rice显示文摘Nuclear factor Y(NF-Y) is a ubiquitous transcription factor that regulates important physiological and developmental processes. In this study, we identified 34 Os NF-Y genes in rice, including 6 newly identified genes. Expression profile analysis covering the whole life cycle revealed that transcripts of Os NF-Y differentially accumulated in a tissue-specific,preferential or constitutive manner. In addition, gene duplication studies and expression analyses were performed to determine the evolutionary origins of the Os NF-Y gene family.Nine Os NF-Y genes were differentially expressed after treatment of seedlings with one or more abiotic stresses such as drought, salt and cold. Analysis of expression correlation and Gene Ontology annotation suggested that Os NF-Y genes were co-expressed with genes that participated in stress, accumulation of seed storage reserves, and plant development.Co-expression analysis also revealed that Os NF-Y genes might interact with each other,suggesting that NF-Y subunits formed complexes that take part in transcriptional regulation. | 3 | Effectiveness of moxibustion alone on lumbar disc herniation:a Meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To evaluate the available evidence from randomized controlled trials(RCTs)of moxibustion alone for lumbar disc herniation(LDH)treatment.METHODS:A systematic search of 10 databases(until August 30,2021)was used to identify studies that reported the response rate,visual analogue scale(VAS)score,Japanese Orthopedic Association(JOA)score,and Oswestry Disability Index(ODI)score.Study selection and data extraction were independently performed by two reviewers.Cochrane criteria for risk of bias were used to assess the methodological quality of the trials.The Grading of Recommendations Assessment,Development,and Evaluation Methodology(GRADE)were also used to test the quality of the result evidence.RESULTS:Nineteen RCTs,including 1888 patients,met the inclusion criteria.Five studies showed no difference between moxibustion and acupuncture on response rate[risk ratio(RR)=1.07,95%CI(0.98,1.16),P=0.11].Meanwhile,six studies suggested that there is no significant difference between moxibustion and acupuncture on VAS score[mean difference(MD)=-0.43,95%CI(-0.91,0.05),P=0.08].Eight studies implied that there is no significant difference between moxibustion and acupuncture on JOA score[MD=0.84,95%CI(-1.27,2.96),P=0.44].Two studies indicated that moxibustion may have equivalent effects for treating LDH in the VAS score in comparison with drug therapy[MD=-1.16,95%CI(-2.63,0.31),P=0.12].The evidence level of results was determined to be very low to low.CONCLUSIONS:Based on the existing evidence,moxibustion may not be suitable for treating LDH alone,but it may be applied as an adjuvant treatment.Furthermore,well-designed RCTs with high quality and larger samples are still needed to evaluate the efficacy and safety of moxibustion alone for LDH treatment. | YAO Yao ZHAO Zhenni CHEN Fengqin LENG Yufei PANG Xiangtian XU Xiao SUN Zhiling | 2023 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2023,43,1: | 3 |

| 8 | Cytological and molecular characteristics of delayed spike development in wheat under low temperature in early spring显示文摘Low temperature in early spring impairs wheat growth and grain yield.However,little is known about the cytological and molecular mechanisms underlying low temperature regulation of wheat spike development.Microstructure observation and transcriptome sequencing of wheat spikes under low temperature were conducted.Low temperature slowed spike development,reduced the yield-component parameters of wheat spikes at the harvest stage,delayed the formation of lateral spikelets and tissue development,and induced the early differentiation of terminal spikelets.Low temperature increased the content of abscisic acid and caused the upregulation of genes in the abscisic acid signaling pathway,including those encoding PP2 Cs,Sn RK2 s,and b ZIP transcription factors.Low temperature also induced the upregulation of 33 cold-responsive genes involved in wheat response to low-temperature stress and regulation of abscisic acid biosynthesis and metabolism of other substances.The wheat spike adapted to cold conditions by changing the expression levels of genes involved in spike morphogenesis,including the transcription-factor genes MADS6,ERF4,ERF78,WOX6,and NAC48.These findings suggest that low temperature in early spring delays wheat spike development by increasing abscisic acid content or affecting the expression of genes involved in morphogenesis. | Xurun Yu Yufei Jiang Huihui Yao Liping Ran Yong Zang Fei Xiong | 2022 | The Crop Journal2022,10,3: | 1 |

| 10 | Feasibility and physics potential of detecting ^(8)B solar neutrinos at JUNO显示文摘The Jiangmen Underground Neutrino Observatory(JUNO)features a 20 kt multi-purpose underground liquid scintillator sphere as its main detector.Some of JUNO's features make it an excellent location for^8B solar neutrino measurements,such as its low-energy threshold,high energy resolution compared with water Cherenkov detectors,and much larger target mass compared with previous liquid scintillator detectors.In this paper,we present a comprehensive assessment of JUNO's potential for detecting^8B solar neutrinos via the neutrino-electron elastic scattering process.A reduced 2 MeV threshold for the recoil electron energy is found to be achievable,assuming that the intrinsic radioactive background^(238)U and^(232)Th in the liquid scintillator can be controlled to 10^(-17)g/g.With ten years of data acquisition,approximately 60,000 signal and 30,000 background events are expected.This large sample will enable an examination of the distortion of the recoil electron spectrum that is dominated by the neutrino flavor transformation in the dense solar matter,which will shed new light on the inconsistency between the measured electron spectra and the predictions of the standard three-flavor neutrino oscillation framework.IfDelta m^(2)_(21)=4.8times10^(-5);(7.5times10^(-5))eV^(2),JUNO can provide evidence of neutrino oscillation in the Earth at approximately the 3sigma(2sigma)level by measuring the non-zero signal rate variation with respect to the solar zenith angle.Moreover,JUNO can simultaneously measureDelta m^2_(21)using^8B solar neutrinos to a precision of 20% or better,depending on the central value,and to sub-percent precision using reactor antineutrinos.A comparison of these two measurements from the same detector will help understand the current mild inconsistency between the value of Delta m^2_(21)reported by solar neutrino experiments and the KamLAND experiment.
