| 1 | Contralateral needling at unblocked collaterals for hemiplegia following acute ischemic stroke显示文摘Hemiplegia caused by stroke indicates dysfunction of the network between the brain and limbs,namely collateral shock in the brain.Contralateral needling is the insertion of needles into acupoints on the relative healthy side of the body to treat diseases such as apoplexy.However,there is little well-designed and controlled clinical evidence for this practice.This study investigated whether contralateral needling could treat hemiplegia after acute ischemic stroke in 106 randomly selected patients with acute ischemic stroke.These patients were randomly assigned to three groups:45 in the contralateral needling group,receiving acupuncture on the unaffected limbs;45 in the conventional acupuncture group,receiving acupuncture on the hemiplegic limbs;and 16 in the control group,receiving routine treatments without acupuncture.Acupuncture at acupoints Chize(LU5)in the upper limb and Jianliao(TE14)in the lower limb was performed for 45 minutes daily for 30consecutive days.The therapeutic effective rate,Neurological Deficit Score,Modified Barthel Index and Fugl-Meyer Assessment were evaluated.The therapeutic effective rate of contralateral needling was higher than that of conventional acupuncture(46.67%vs.31.11%,P<0.05).The neurological deficit score of contralateral needling was significantly decreased compared with conventional acupuncture(P<0.01).The Modified Barthel Index and Fugl-Meyer Assessment score of contralateral needling increased more significantly than those of conventional acupuncture(both P<0.01).The present findings suggest that contralateral needling unblocks collaterals and might be more effective than conventional acupuncture in the treatment of hemiplegia following acute ischemic stroke. | Huanmin Gao Xugang Li Xia Gao Benxu Ma | 2013 | Neural Regeneration Research2013,8,31: | 10 |

| 5 | Preparation and Characterization of Potassium Monopersulfate/Ethyl Cellulose Microcapsules and Their Sustained Release Performance显示文摘Environmental cleaning is an important aspect of bacteria control.Ethyl cellulose microcapsules containing potassium monopersulfate(PMCM)were prepared by emulsified solvent diffusion method.The chemical structure and microstructure of the obtained PMCM was characterized by methods of Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FT-IR),optical microscopy,scanning electron microscopy and X-ACT energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy.The SEM micrographs of the PMCM containing 21.6%of C,46.8%of O,10.7%of S and 19.4%of K was relatively smooth.Thermal stability,sustained release performance,and antimicrobial activity of PMCM were investigated.The results showed that the drug loading and encapsulation efficiency of PMCM were 30.3%and 42.6%respectively.Potassium monopersulfate was fully released after 8 h,following a Fickian diffusion mechanism.Results showed that the microcapsules prepared with a high concentration of potassium monopersulfate solution showed a good antimicrobial effect.The microcapsule wall of the resulting PMCM increased with increasing ethyl cellulose content and had high thermal stability from the data of 69%residue rate.The excellent thermal stability and high sustained release performance of PMCM showed high application value. | Qiaoguang Li Xuming Yan Jialong Chen Xugang Shu Puyou Jia Xiangjun Liang | 2021 | Journal of Renewable Materials2021,9,10: | 2 |
| 6 | Dietary calcium requirements of broilers fed a conventional corn-soybean meal diet from 1 to 21 days of age显示文摘Background:The current calcium(Ca)recommendation for broilers is primarily based on studies conducted more than 30 years ago with birds of markedly different productive potentials from those which exist today.And the response indicators in these studies are mainly growth performance and bone ash percentage.Therefore,the present study was carried out to investigate the effect of dietary Ca level on growth performance,serum parameters,bone characteristics and Ca metabolism-related gene expressions,so as to estimate dietary Ca requirements of broilers fed a conventional corn-soybean meal diet from 1 to 21 days of age.Methods:A total of 4201-day-old Arbor Acres male broilers were randomly assigned to 1 of 7 treatments with 6 replicates(10 birds per cage)and fed the corn-soybean meal diets containing 0.60%,0.70%,0.80%,0.90%,1.00%,1.10%or 1.20%Ca for 21 days.Each diet contained the constant non-phytate phosphorus content of about 0.39%.Results:The average daily gain decreased linearly(P<0.001)as dietary Ca level increased.The serum and tibia alkaline phosphatase(ALP)activities,tibia bone mineral density(BMD),middle toe BMD,tibia ash percentage,tibia breaking strength,and tibia ALP protein expression level were affected(P<0.05)by dietary Ca level,and showed significant quadratic responses(P<0.02)to dietary Ca levels.The estimates of dietary Ca requirements were 0.80 to 1.00%based on the best fitted broken-line or quadratic models(P<0.03)of the above serum and bone parameters,respectively.Conclusions:The results from the present study indicate that the Ca requirements would be about 0.60%to obtain the best growth rate,and 1.00%to meet all of the Ca metabolisms and bone development of broilers fed a conventional corn-soybean meal diet from 1 to 21 days of age. | Shiping Bai Yunfeng Yang Xuelian Ma Xiudong Liao Runlian Wang Liyang Zhang Sufen Li Xugang Luo Lin Lu | 2022 | Journal of Animal Science and Biotechnology2022,13,4: | 2 |
| 7 | A Cost-Effective D-A-D Type Hole-Transport Material Enabling 20% Efficiency Inverted Perovskite Solar Celis显示文摘High-performance,cost-effective hole-transport materials(HTMs)are greatly desired for the commercialization of perovskite solar cells(PVSCs).Herein,two new HTMs,TPA-FO and TPA-PDO,are devised and synthesized,which have a donor-acceptor-donor(D-A-D)type molecule design featuring carbonyl group-functionalized arenes as the acceptor(A)units.The carbonyl group at the central core of HTMs can not only tune frontier molecular orbital(FMO)energy levels and surface wettability,but also can enable efficient surface passivation effects,resulting in reduced recombination loss.When employed as HTMs in inverted PVSCs without using dopant,TPA-FO with one carbonyl group yields a high power conversion efficiency(PCE)of 20.24%,which is among the highest values reported in the inverted PVSCs with dopant-free HTMs.More importantly,the facile one-step synthetic process enables a low cost of 30 USD g^(-1) for TPA-FO,much cheaper than the most studied HTMs used for high-efficiency dopant-free PVSCs.These results demonstrate the potential of D-A-D type molecules with carbonyl group-functionalized arene core in developing the low-cost dopant-free HTMs toward highly efficient PVSCs. | Jiachen Huang Jie Yang Huiliang Sun Kui Feng Qiaogan Liao Bolin Li He Yan Xugang Guo | 2021 | Chinese Journal of Chemistry2021,39,6: | 2 |
| 8 | Synthesis and Kinetics of Hydrogenated Rosin Dodecyl Ester as an Environmentally Friendly Plasticizer显示文摘The plasticizer is an important polymer material additive.Non-toxic and environmentally friendly plasticizers are developed recently in order to decrease fossil fuel reserves,serious environmental pollution and the toxicity of phthalate esters.In this study,a new,efficient and environmentally friendly plasticizer of hydrogenated rosin dodecyl ester was prepared by an esterification reaction of hydrogenated rosin and dodecanol.The influences of different reaction conditions(including different catalysts,the catalyst concentration,the ratio of the reactants,reaction temperature,and reaction time)on the esterification yield are examined and discussed.Hydrogenated rosin dodecyl ester with 71.8%yield was synthesized under the optimized reaction conditions(1:0.8 molar ratio of rosin to dodecanol,1 mol%tetrabutyl titanate concentration,and 210℃for 6 h).The esterification reaction is a second-order reaction,and kinetic calculations showed that the activation energy is 39.77 KJ·mol^(−1).The structure of the hydrogenated rosin dodecyl ester was confirmed by FT-IR spectroscopy and^(13)C NMR spectrum.Besides,the thermal stability of target product(hydrogenated rosin dodecyl ester)was also tested by thermal gravimetric analysis(TGA),which showed a good thermal stability. | Qiaoguang Li Sheng Gong Jie Yan Hongchao Hu Xugang Shu Hanqing Tong Zhiye Cai | 2020 | Journal of Renewable Materials2020,8,3: | 2 |

| 12 | Regulation of bone phosphorus retention and bone development possibly by related hormones and local bone-derived regulators in broiler chicks显示文摘Background:Phosphorus is essential for bone mineralization in broilers,however,the underlying mechanisms remain unclear.We aimed to investigate whether bone phosphorus retention and bone development might be regulated by related hormones and local bone-derived regulators in broilers.Methods:Broilers were fed diets containing different levels of non-phytate phosphorus(NPP)0.15%,0.25%,0.35%,0.45% and 0.55% or 0.15%,0.22%,0.29%,0.36% and 0.43% from 1 to 21 or 22 to 42 days of age.Serum and tibia samples were collected for determinations of bone phosphorus retention and bone development parameters,related hormones and local bone-derived regulators of broiler chickens on d 14,28 and 42,respectively.Results:Tibia ash phosphorus,total phosphorus accumulation in tibia ash(TP_(TA)),bone mineral concentration(BMC),bone mineral density(BMD),bone breaking strength(BBS),and ash on d 14,28 or 42,serum 1,25-dihydroxyvitamin D_(3)(1,25(OH)_(2)D_(3))on d 28 and 42,mRNA expressions of tibia fibroblast growth factor 23(FGF23)and dentin matrix protein 1(DMP1)on d 14 and 28 increased linearly or quadratically(P<0.05),while serum parathyroid hormone(PTH)on d 28,tibia alkaline phosphatase(ALP)on d 14,28 and 42,bone gal protein(BGP)on d 14,and mRNA expression of tibia phosphate-regulating gene with homologies to endopeptidases on the X chromosome(PHEX)on d 14 and 28 decreased linearly or quadratically(P<0.04)as dietary NPP level increased.TPTA,BMC,BMD,and ash on d 28 and 42,BBS on d 28,and ash phosphorus on d 42 were positively correlated(r=0.389 to 0.486,P<0.03)with serum 1,25(OH)_(2)D_(3).All of the above parameters were positively correlated(r=0.380 to 0.689,P<0.05)with tibia DMP1 mRNA expression on d 14,28 and 42,but negatively correlated(r=−0.609 to−0.538,P<0.02)with serum PTH on d 28,tibia ALP on d 14,28 and 42,and BGP on d 14.TP_(TA),BMC and ash on d 14 and BMD on d 28 were negatively correlated(r=−0.397 to−0.362,P<0.03)with tibia PHEX mRNA expression,and BMD on d 28 was positively correlated(r=0.384,P=0.04)with tibia FGF23 mRNA expression.Conclusions:These results suggested that bone phosphorus retention and bone development parameters had moderate to strong correlations with serum PTH and 1,25(OH)2D3 and tibia DMP1,PHEX,FGF23,ALP and BGP in broilers during the whole growth period,and thus they might be partly regulated by these related hormones and local bone-derived regulators. | Sumei Cao Tingting Li Yuxin Shao Liyang Zhang Lin Lu Rijun Zhang Shuisheng Hou Xugang Luo Xiudong Liao | 2022 | Journal of Animal Science and Biotechnology2022,13,1: | 1 |

| 14 | Optimization of solvent swelling for efficient organic solar cells via sequential deposition显示文摘Compared to bulk heterojunction(BHJ)organic solar cells(OSCs)prepared by the blend casting in“one step process”,sequential deposition(SD)processed OSCs can realize an ideal profile of vertical component distribution due to the swelling of polymer films.Herein,we did trials on several kinds of second solvents for swelling the polymer layer,and investigated the packing structure and morphology of the swollen films and the performance of the resulting devices.We found that an optimized morphology can be achieved by solvent swelling while using orthodichlorobenzene(o-DCB)as the second layer processing-solvent,with polymer donor PffBT-3 as bottom layer,PC71BM as top layer and bicontinuous networks in the middle.Such solvent swelling process also makes the SD method exempt from thermal annealing treatment.The device based on SD yields a power conversion effi-ciency(PCE)up to 8.7%without any post-treatment,outperforming those from the devices based on SD using other solvents and that(7.06%)from BHJ device,respectively.We also extended the use of this approach to allpolymer blend system,and successfully improved the efficiency from 4.72%(chloroform)to 9.35%(o-DCB),which is among the highest PCEs in all-polymer-based OSCs fabricated with SD method.The results demonstrate that the swelling of the polymer by the second layer solvent is a necessity for SD,paving the way towards additivefree high-performance OSCs. | Qiaogan Liao Bangbang Li Huiliang Sun Chang Woo Koh Xianhe Zhang Bin Liu Han Young Woo Xugang Guo | 2021 | Materials Reports(Energy)2021,1,4: | 1 |
