| 2 | Mn-SOD and CuZn-SOD polymorphisms and interactions with risk factors in gastric cancer显示文摘AIM: To investigate the effects of superoxide dismutase (SOD) polymorphisms (rs4998557 , rs4880), Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori ) infection and environmental factors in gastric cancer (GC) and malignant potential of gastric precancerous lesions (GPL). METHODS: Copper-zinc superoxide dismutase (SOD1, CuZn-SOD)-G7958A (rs4998557 ) and manganese superoxide dismutase (SOD2, Mn-SOD)-Val16Ala (rs4880 ) polymorphisms were genotyped by SNaPshot multiplex polymerase chain reaction (PCR) in 145 patients with GPL (87 cases of gastric ulcer, 33 cases of gastric polyps and 25 cases of atrophic gastritis), 140 patients with GC and 147 healthy controls. H. pylori infection was detected by immunoblotting analysis. RESULTS: The SOD1-7958A allele was associated with a higher risk of gastric cancer [odds ratio (OR) = 3.01, 95% confidence intervals (95% CI): 1.83-4.95]. SOD216Ala/Val genotype was a risk factor for malignant potential of GPL (OR = 2.04, 95% CI: 1.19-3.49). SOD216Ala/genotype increased the risk of gastric cancer (OR = 2.85, 95% CI: 1.66-4.89). SOD1-7958A/genotype, SOD2-16Ala/genotype, alcohol drinking, positive family history and type Ⅰ H. pylori infection were associated with risk of gastric cancer, and there were additive interactions between the two genotypes and the other three risk factors. SOD2-16Ala/Val genotype and positive family history were associated with malignant potential of GPL and jointly contributed to a higher risk for malignant potential of GPL (OR = 7.71, 95% CI: 2.10-28.22). SOD1-7958A/genotype and SOD2-16Ala/genotype jointly contributed to a higher risk for gastric cancer (OR = 6.43, 95% CI: 3.20-12.91). CONCLUSION: SOD1-7958A/and SOD2-16Ala/-genotypes increase the risk of gastric cancer in Chinese Han population. | 4 | Dynamic tensile properties and microstructural evolution of extruded EW75 magnesium alloy at high strain rates显示文摘The dynamic tensile properties and microstructural evolution of an extruded EW75 magnesium alloy deformed at ambient temperature and different high strain rates(from 1000 to 3000 s^(-1))along extrusion direction(ED)were investigated by Split Hopkinson Tension Bar(SHTB).The corresponding deformation mechanisms,texture evolution and microstructure changes were analyzed by optical microscope(OM),electron backscatter diffraction(EBSD)and transmission electron microscope(TEM).The results show that the extruded EW75 magnesium alloy along ED exhibits a conventional positive strain rate sensitivity that the dynamic flow stresses increase with in creasing strain rate.Texture measurements show that after dynamic tension,the initial weak texture of extruded EW75 magnesium alloy tansforms to a relatively strong<10-10>//ED texture with increasing strain rates.The microstructural analysis demonstrates that dislocation motion are main deformatin mode to accommodate dynamic tensile deformation at high strain rates.In addition,the interactions of dislocation-dislocation and dislocation-second phase lead to the in crease of flow stress and strain hardening with increasing strain rate. | Jincheng Yu Bo Song Dabiao Xia Xun Zeng Yuanding Huang Norbert Hort Pingli Mao Zheng Liu | 2020 | Journal of Magnesium and Alloys2020,8,3: | 7 |

This paper aims to investigate the growth kinetics of precipitates in commercial silicon steel by analyzing its magnetic properties during isothermal annealing at 200°C. The growth of precipitates was studied by optical microscopy, scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy, and magnetic measurements. In combination with the coercive field and initial susceptibility, this technique offers the advantage of being non-destructive and providing quantitative information about the number, mean radius of precipitates, and fraction of transformation. | 7 | Shellac-coated iron oxide nanoparticles for removal of cadmium(Ⅱ) ions from aqueous solution显示文摘This study describes a new effective adsorbent for cadmium removal from aqueous solution synthesized by coating a shellac layer, a natural biodegradable and renewable resin with abundant hydroxyl and carboxylic groups, on the surface of iron oxide magnetic nanoparticles. Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM) imaging showed shellac-coated magnetic nanoparticle (SCMN) adsorbents had a core-shell structure with a core of 20 nm and shell of 5 nm. Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopic analysis suggested the occurrence of reaction between carboxyl groups on the SCMN adsorbent surface and cadmium ions in aqueous solution. Kinetic data were well described by pseudo second-order model and adsorption isotherms were fitted with both Langmuir and Freundlich models with maximum adsorption capacity of 18.80 mg/g. The photocatalytic ac- tivities of the samples were evaluated by the degradation of harmful acid orange 7(AO7) azo-dye in aqueous solution. The effects of La3+ ion implantation on the photocatalytic activity of TiO2 were also discussed. The results show that the La3+ content plays an essential role in affecting the photocatalytic activity of the La3+-doped TiO2 and the optimum content of La3+-doped is 1.0 wt.%. The photocatalytic activity of the samples with La3+-doped TiO2 is higher than that of pure TiO2 in the treatment of AO7 wastewater. Light scatter in KDP crystal was detected with the ultramicroscopic method. The light scatter in KDP crystal was aggravated when pyro-phosphate was doped into the growth solution, which was distributed ununiformly in prism and pyramidal sectors of KDP crystal. Different effects of pyrophosphate on prism and pyramidal sectors of KDP crystal can explain this case. | 11 | Nature and timing of a prehistoric giant landslide on the eastern margin of the Tibetan Plateau显示文摘Studying the characteristics of a prehistoric giant landslide and ascertaining its relationship with palaeo-seismic events could provide useful information on the role of regional tectonic activities in hillslope evolution.Here,a giant palaeoseismic landslide(GPSL),namely,the Luanshibao(LSB)landslide,located on the eastern margin of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau,was investigated to ascertain its characteristics and occurrence age.The relationship between occurrence age and palaeoseismic episodes was also discussed by using 14 C dating on the adjacent active faults,including the regional Yidun-Litang-Dewu(YD-LT-DW)fault zone,which crossed the LSB landslide.The dating of multiple samples acquired from palaeo-seismic trenches revealed that at least 5 palaeo-seismic episodes had occurred in the vicinity of the LSB landslide over the last 5000 years.The occurrence age of the LSB landslide(3635±387 a BP)coincides with palaeo-seismic episode I,and the LSB landslide is convincingly inferred to have been triggered during episode I,which reached a seismic intensity(Chinese scale)of at least degree VII near the LSB landslide during failure.The timing of a second reactivation phase coincides with palaeo-seismic episode IV,which occurred at 2100-2200 a BP.The study could provide reference for studying the regional palaeoseismic activities and palaeo landslide evolution near the Litang area. | ZHAO Xun WANG Yun-sheng WANG Shi-yuan ZHAO Bo ZENG Lu LIU Yu FENG Qian-qian | 2020 | Journal of Mountain Science2020,17,6: | 3 |
| 12 | Evaluating the efficacy of endoscopic sphincterotomy on biliary-type sphincter of Oddi dysfunction: A retrospective clinical trial显示文摘BACKGROUND Although endoscopic sphincterotomy(EST)has a positive therapeutic effect on biliary-type sphincter of Oddi dysfunction(SOD),some patients still have little relief after EST,which implies that other functional abdominal pain may also be present with biliary-type SOD and interfere with the diagnosis and treatment of it.AIM To retrospectively assess EST as a treatment for biliary-type SOD and analyze the importance of functional gastrointestinal disorder(FGID)in guiding endoscopic treatment of SOD.METHODS Clinical data of 79 patients with biliary-type SOD(type I and type II)treated with EST at Affiliated Hospital of Guizhou Medical University from January 2014 to January 2019 were retrospectively collected to evaluate the clinical therapeutic effect of EST.The significance of relationship between FGID and biliary-type SOD was analyzed.RESULTS Seventy-nine patients with biliary-type SOD received EST,including 29 type 1 patients and 50 type 2 patients.The verbal rating scale-5(VRS-5)scores before EST were all 3 or 4 points,and the scores decreased after EST;the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After EST,the serum indexes of alanine aminotransferase,aspartate aminotransferase,alkaline phosphatase and total bilirubin in biliary-type SOD were significantly lower than before(P<0.05).After EST,67(84.8%)and 8(10.1%)of the 79 patients with biliary-type SOD had obviously effective(VRS-5=0 points)and effective treatment(VRS-5=1-2 points),with an overall effectiveness rate of 94.9%(75/79).There was no difference in VRS-5 scores between biliary-type SOD patients with or without FGID before EST(P>0.05).Of 12 biliary-type SOD(with FGID)patients,11 had abdominal pain after EST;of 67 biliary-type SOD(without FGID)patients,0 had abdominal pain after EST.The difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The 11 biliary-type SOD(with FGID)patients with recurrence of symptoms,the recurrence time was about half a year after the EST,and the symptoms were significantly relieved after regular medical treatment.There were 4 cases of postendoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography pancreatitis(5.1%),and no cholangitis,bleeding or perforation occurred.Patients were followed up for 1 year to 5 years after EST,with an average follow-up time of 2.34 years,and there were no long-term adverse events such as sphincter of Oddi restenosis or cholangitis caused by intestinal bile reflux during the follow-up.CONCLUSION EST is a safe and effective treatment for SOD.For patients with type I and II SOD combined with FGID,single EST or medical treatment has limited efficacy.It is recommended that EST and medicine be combined to improve the cure rate of such patients. | Li-Kun Ren Zhi-Yuan Cai Xun Ran Neng-Hong Yang Xing-Zhi Li Hao Liu Chang-Wei Wu Wen-Ying Zeng Min Han | 2021 | World Journal of Clinical Cases2021,9,32: | 3 |

| 14 | Effect of electropulsing treatment on static recrystallization behavior of cold-rolled magnesium alloy ZK60 with different reductions显示文摘Effect of electropulsing treatment(EPT) on recrystallization behavior of cold-rolled Mg alloy ZK60 strips was investigated. It was found that EPT significantly improved nucleation rate and migration ability of grain boundaries, leading to accelerated recrystallization of the deformed metals at relatively low temperature. After the recrystallization induced by EPT, the average grain size of 20% rolling reduction samples decreased from 113 um to around 10 um, meanwhile the typical basal-type texture of the coldrolled sample was weakened. EPT was normally accompanied with a thermal and an athermal effects. The athermal effect played a dominated role in increasing nucleation rate, while the thermal effect promoted grain growth. | 18 | A new method of block shape classification显示文摘The shapes of block within the rock mass have an important effect on the rock properties,so it’s very important to evaluate the shapes of rock fragmentation and to determine the geometric characteristics distribution of the block. The previous methods to classify rock block shape are based on the assumption that a block shape is approximately orthogonal,which is acceptable in only a few rock masses. This paper proposes a new method for block shape classification using triangular diagram together with parameters of co-linearity ε and volume coefficient κ,which combines the shape categorization with block volume for statistical analysis. Rock block equivalent size calculation methods based on block shape is proposed and the block cumulative percentage of total volume statistical analysis is given.
