1Evaluation of human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 status of breast cancer using preoperative multidetector computed tomography with deep learning and handcrafted radiomics features显示文摘Objective:To evaluate the human epidermal growth factor receptor 2(HER2)status in patients with breast cancer using multidetector computed tomography(MDCT)-based handcrafted and deep radiomics features.Methods:This retrospective study enrolled 339 female patients(primary cohort,n=177;validation cohort,n=162)with pathologically confirmed invasive breast cancer.Handcrafted and deep radiomics features were extracted from the MDCT images during the arterial phase.After the feature selection procedures,handcrafted and deep radiomics signatures and the combined model were built using multivariate logistic regression analysis.Performance was assessed by measures of discrimination,calibration,and clinical usefulness in the primary cohort and validated in the validation cohort.Results:The handcrafted radiomics signature had a discriminative ability with a C-index of 0.739[95%confidence interval(95%CI):0.661-0.818]in the primary cohort and 0.695(95%CI:0.609-0.781)in the validation cohort.The deep radiomics signature also had a discriminative ability with a C-index of 0.760(95%CI:0.690-0.831)in the primary cohort and 0.777(95%CI:0.696-0.857)in the validation cohort.The combined model,which incorporated both the handcrafted and deep radiomics signatures,showed good discriminative ability with a C-index of 0.829(95%CI:0.767-0.890)in the primary cohort and 0.809(95%CI:0.740-0.879)in the validation cohort.Conclusions:Handcrafted and deep radiomics features from MDCT images were associated with HER2 status in patients with breast cancer.Thus,these features could provide complementary aid for the radiological evaluation of HER2 status in breast cancer.Xiaojun Yang Lei Wu Ke Zhao Weitao Ye Weixiao Liu Yingyi Wang Jiao Li Hanxiao Li Xiaomei Huang Wen Zhang Yanqi Huang Xin Chen Su Yao Zaiyi Liu Changhong Liang 2020Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2020,32,2:4

3AN INTRUSION DETECTION SYSTEM BASED ON EVIDENCE THEORY AND ROUGH SET THEORY显示文摘In this paper,we propose a novel Intrusion Detection System (IDS) architecture utilizing both the evidence theory and Rough Set Theory (RST). Evidence theory is an effective tool in dealing with uncertainty question. It relies on the expert knowledge to provide evidences,needing the evidences to be independent,and this make it difficult in application. To solve this problem,a hybrid system of rough sets and evidence theory is proposed. Firstly,simplification are made based on Variable Precision Rough Set (VPRS) conditional entropy. Thus,the Basic Belief Assignment (BBA) for all evidences can be calculated. Secondly,Dempster’s rule of combination is used,and a decision-making is given. In the proposed approach,the difficulties in acquiring the BBAs are solved,the correlativity among the evidences is reduced and the subjectivity of evidences is weakened. 5Unbiased transcriptomic analyses reveal distinet effects of immune deficiency in CNS function with and without injury显示文摘The mammalian central nervous system (CNS) is considered an immune privileged system as it is separated from the periphery by the blood brain barrier (BBB). Yet, immune functions have been postulated to heavily influence the functional state of the CNS, especially after injury or during neurodegeneration. There is controversy regarding whether adaptive immune responses are beneficial or detrimental to CNS injury repair. In this study, we utilized immunocompromised SCID mice and subjected them to spinal cord injury (SCI). We analyzed motor function, electrophysiology, histochemistry, and performed unbiased RNA-sequencing. SCID mice displayed improved CNS functional recovery compared to WT mice after SCI. Weighted gene-coexpression network analysis (WGCNA) of spinal cord transcriptomes revealed that SCID mice had reduced expression of immune function-related genes and heightened expression of neural transmission-related genes after SCI, which was confirmed by immunohistochemical analysis and was consistent with better functional recovery. Transcriptomic analyses also indicated heightened expression of neurotransmission-related genes before injury in SCID mice, suggesting that a steady state of immune-deficiency potentially led to CNS hyper-connectivity. Consequently, SCID mice without injury demonstrated worse performance in Morris water maze test. Taken together, not only reduced inflammation after injury but also dampened steady-state immune function without injury heightened the neurotransmission program, resulting in better or worse behavioral outcomes respectively. 6Aged hematopoietic stem cells entrap regulatory T cells to create a prosurvival microenvironment显示文摘Although DNA mutation drives stem cell aging,how mutation-accumulated stem cells obtain clonal advantage during aging remains poorly understood.Here,using a mouse model of irradiation-induced premature aging and middle-aged mice,we show that DNA mutation accumulation in hematopoietic stem cells(HSCs)during aging upregulates their surface expression of major histocompatibility complex class II(MHCII).MHCII upregulation increases the chance for recognition by bone marrow(BM)-resident regulatory T cells(Tregs),resulting in their clonal expansion and accumulation in the HSC niche.On the basis of the establishment of connexin 43(Cx43)-mediated gap junctions,BM Tregs transfer cyclic adenosine monophosphate(cAMP)to aged HSCs to diminish apoptotic priming and promote their survival via activation of protein kinase A(PKA)signaling.Importantly,targeting the HSC–Treg interaction or depleting Tregs effectively prevents the premature/physiological aging of HSCs.These findings show that aged HSCs use an active self-protective mechanism by entrapping local Tregs to construct a prosurvival niche and obtain a clonal advantage.Weinian Liao Chaonan Liu Ke Yang Jun Chen Yiding Wu Shuzhen Zhang Kuan Yu Lisha Wang Li Ran Mo Chen Fang Chen Yang Xu Song Wang Fengchao Wang Qian Zhang Jinghong Zhao Lilin Ye Changhong Du Junping Wang 2023Cellular & Molecular Immunology2023,20,10:0
7Microstructure of shot-blasting casting roll and effect on strip solidification during strip-casting process显示文摘In the strip-casting process,the surface topography of the casting roll has a significant influence on the solidification microstructure and surface quality of the as-cast strip. Shot-blasting treatment is an important way to achieve a suitable surface topography on the casting roll. In this study,a casting roll of beryllium copper alloy was shot blasted using steel pellets in the laboratory,resulting in a randomly distributed discontinuous peak and dent surface topography,in which cold deformation-slip bands and fine-deformation twins were formed. The thickness of the deformed copper alloy was about 100 μm during the shot-blasting process,and the copper hardness value increased significantly within 40 μm of the surface,with a maximum increase of more than 20% compared to the mean substrate hardness value. Within 60-100 μm of the surface,the hardness at the peak position was still higher than the copper substrate mean value,but the hardness at the dents was not,which was mainly due to the copper alloy slip and twinning deformation mechanisms. The surface hardness was similar to that of the substrate after the shot-blasted sample had been subjected to thermal shock. The molten steel first chilled and nucleated at the surface peaks of the casting roll;furthermore,fine dendrites grew and crossed over the middle of the dents. 8A unified computational model for surface texturing process of strip casting rollers显示文摘A new unified computational method is proposed for modeling the relationship between the parameters of the high-speed particle-impact texturing process and the final surface morphology of the casting roller. The whole surface-texturing process is divided into three parts. The first part is the acceleration process of particles inside and outside the nozzle,which can be analyzed using the computational fluid dynamics method to obtain the particle impact velocities. The second part is a simulation of the bombardment process of particles onto the roller surface using the LS-DYNA software as the analysis tool and the results obtained in the first part as input parameters. The last part is the continuously random impact process of particles on the casting roller surface to form a functional surface,which is characterized by a simplified roughness model. 9Design of a high-precision twin-roll strip caster显示文摘During strip casting,the thickness deviation of casting strip directly affects the quality of the hot-rolled sheet because the casting strip needs to be rolled only once.To accurately control the gap between casting rolls and reduce the thickness deviation of the casting strip,a conceptual design of a prestressed twin-roll caster is proposed herein;this caster involves the setting of a constant pressure balancing cylinder between the chocks of two casting rolls.The balancing cylinder hydraulic system adopts a three-way servo valve that controls the hydraulic cylinder.The parameters of the hydraulic power components are determined using the principle of optimal power matching,and the hydraulic system model of the balancing cylinder is thus established.The dynamic analysis and simulation of the hydraulic system are performed using finite element model to obtain relevant evaluation indexes.Finally,the hydraulic system is corrected using proportional-integral-derivative (PID) correction to achieve a well-controlled effect.Thus,the engineering requirements of the strip casting process can be met.YE Changhong QIAO Jianji WANG Chengquan 2019Baosteel Technical Research2019,13,3:0

11Interface phonon polariton coupling to enhance grapheneabsorption显示文摘Here we present a graphene photodetector ofwhich the graphene and structural system infraredabsorptions are enhanced by interface phonon polariton(IPhP) coupling. IPhPs are supported at the SiC/AlNinterface of device structure and used to excite interbandtransitions of the intrinsic graphene under gated-fieldtuning. The simulation results show that at normalincidence the absorbance of graphene or system reachesup to 43% or closes to unity in a mid-infrared frequencyrange. In addition, we found the peak-absorption frequencyis mainly decided by the AlN thickness, and it has ared-shift as the thickness decreases.
