| 1 | Urea combustion synthesis of LiNi_(0.5)Mn_(1.5)O_4 as a cathode material for lithium ion batteries显示文摘LiNi0.5Mn1.5O4 was synthesized by combustion synthesis(UCS) using urea as fuel.X-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscope measurements showed that the spinel structure LiNi0.5Mn1.5O4 with the space group Fd3m was formed during urea combustion.Both structure and particle size could be adjusted by the amount of urea and the heat treatment temperature used in the UCS.For the LiNi0.5Mn1.5O4 sample prepared with a urea/Li molar ratio of 0.57 and a heat treatment temperature of 900 C,the particle-size distribution fell in a narrow range of 1-2 m.Electrochemical tests indicated that this LiNi0.5Mn1.5O4 sample delivered a discharge capacity of 133.6 mAh/g with a capacity retention rate of 99.6% after 20 cycles at 0.5 C. | Kedi Yang Jing Su Li Zhang Yunfei Long Xiaoyan Lv Yanxuan Wen | 2012 | Particuology2012,10,6: | 3 |
| 2 | Effects of NS1 variants of H5N1 influenza virus on interferon induction, TNFa response and p53 activity显示文摘Non-structural protein 1(NS1)is an important virulence factor of the highly pathogenic H5N1 avian influenza virus.A five-amino-acid(5 aa)deletion at position 80–84 and an aspartic acid to glutamic acid substitution at position 92(D92E)are two major NS1 mutations that are highly correlated with enhanced virulence.To investigate the effect of these mutations in H5N1 virulence,three H5N1-NS1 variants were constructed:NS51(lacking 5 aa at position 80–84),NS51(I)(carrying a 5-aa insertion at position 80–84)and NS51(IM)(carrying both the 5-aa insertion and the D92E mutation).We examined the effects of these mutations on interferon(IFN)induction,tumor-necrosis factor(TNF)a response,p53 activity and apoptosis.We found that the D92E mutation eliminated NS1’s repressive effect on IFN induction,while the 5-aa deletion resulted in enhanced resistance to TNFa responses.We also observed that all three variants exhibited a similar suppressive effect on p53 transcriptional activity,although none of them significantly influenced apoptosis of host cells.Our findings shed new light on the role of NS1 in the pathogenicity of H5N1 virus. | Weizhong Li Gefei Wang Heng Zhang Gang Xin Dangui Zhang Jun Zeng Xiaoxuan Chen Yanxuan Xu Youhong Cui Kangsheng Li | 2010 | Cellular & Molecular Immunology2010,7,3: | 3 |

| 6 | SOX2-dependent expression of dihydroorotate dehydrogenase regulates oral squamous cell carcinoma cell proliferation显示文摘Oral squamous cell carcinoma(OSCC)become a heavy burden of public health,with approximately 300000 newly diagnosed cases and 145000 deaths worldwide per year.Nucleotide metabolism fuel DNA replication and RNA synthesis,which is indispensable for cell proliferation.But how tumor cells orchestrate nucleotide metabolic enzymes to support their rapid growth is largely unknown.Here we show that expression of pyrimidine metabolic enzyme dihydroorotate dehydrogenase(DHODH)is upregulated in OSCC tissues,compared to non-cancerous adjacent tissues.Enhanced expression of DHODH is correlated with a shortened patient survival time.Inhibition of DHODH by either shRNA or selective inhibitors impairs proliferation of OSCC cells and growth of tumor xenograft.Further,loss of functional DHODH imped de novo pyrimidine synthesis,and disrupt mitochondrial respiration probably through destabilizing the MICOS complex.Mechanistic study shows that transcriptional factor SOX2 plays an important role in the upregulation of DHODH in OSCC.Our findings add to the knowledge of how cancer cells co-opt nucleotide metabolism to support their rapid growth,and thereby highlight DHODH as a potential prognostic and therapeutic target for OSCC treatment. | Xuemei Qiu Sheng Jiang Yanxuan Xiao Yumin He Tao Ren Lu Jiang Rui Liu Qianming Chen | 2021 | International Journal of Oral Science2021,13,1: | 1 |

| 14 | Auriferous karst breccias in East Hebei Province, China显示文摘RECENTLY, a new type of gold deposits was discovered along the Great Wall in East Hebei Province, thatis the so-called ’Great Wall Type gold deposit’, a-kind of carbonate breccias with micro-disseminated(invisible) gold hosted in Middle-Proterozoic carbonate rocks. In the 30th IGC in August 1996 in Beijing, it was reported as the largest belt of Carlin-type gold deposits in China, and over 1 000 tons of goldreserves were estimated (oral report). Up to now, very little is known about its genesis. Our researchshows large differences between Great Wall type and Carlin-type gold. Most remarkable is that gold ishosted in carbonate breccias, to be precise, in cements (matrix) of breccias. Because of this, we consider the breccias as a key to understanding the genesis.
