| 1 | The C-Terminal Portion of the Nucleocapsid Protein Demonstrates SARS-CoV Antigenicity显示文摘In order to develop clinical diagnostic tools for rapid detection of SARS-CoV (severe acute respiratory syndrome-associated coronavirus) and to identify candidate proteins for vaccine development, the C-terminal portion of the nucleocapsid (NC)gene was amplified using RT-PCR from the SARS-CoV genome, cloned into a yeast expression vector (pEGH), and expressed as a glutathione S-transferase (GST) and Hisx6 double-tagged fusion protein under the control of an inducible promoter.Western analysis on the purified protein confirmed the expression and purification of the NC fusion proteins from yeast. | 3 | Allelopathic eff ects of mixotrophic dinofl agellate Akashiwo sanguinea on co-occurring phytoplankton:the signifi cance of nutritional ecology显示文摘Blooms of Akashiwo sanguinea frequently break out around the world,causing huge economic losses to the aquaculture industry and seriously damaging coastal ecosystems.However,the formation mechanisms of A.sanguinea blooms remain unclear.We investigated the allelopathic effects of A.sanguinea on multiple phytoplankton species,explored the mode of allelochemicals action and the way of nutrient factors regulation of the allelopathic activity.Results show that strains of A.sanguinea could inhibit the growth of co-occurring phytoplankton including Scrippsiella trochoidea,Phaeocystis globosa,and Rhodomonas salina,but inhibition of Prorocentrum micans was not obvious.The inhibition rates on phytoplankton were positively correlated with the cell densities of A.sanguinea.The highest inhibition rate of 94%on R.salina was for A.sanguinea CCMA256 culture of 2000 cells/mL at 72 h.We observed that cells of S.trochoidea,Ph.g lobosa,and R.sali na were lysed when co-cultured with A.sanguinea,with the shortest time for S.trochoidea.Additionally,the growth rates of A.sanguinea were promoted by coculturing with S.trochoidea,Ph.globosa,and R.salina.Four components of A.sanguinea culture were all able to inhibit growth of R.salina:the strongest inhibitory effect was found in the sonicated culture,followed by whole-cell culture,filtrates of sonicated culture,and filtrate culture.The crude extract of A.sanguinea culture also lysed cells of R.salina,and the inhibition rates on R.salina increased with the increasing dose of crude extract.It was shown that both nutrient enrichment and nitrogen:phosphorus ratio imbalance enhanced remarkably the allelopathic activity of A.sanguinea.The highest inhibition rate on R.salina of 70%occurred in A.sanguinea JX13 treatment at 2000 cells/mL under high nutrient condition in 48 h.In JX14 treatment at 2000 cells/mL for N:P of 10:1,the inhibition rate increased by 1.7 times of that for N:P of 20:1.In addition,the allelopathy of A.sanguinea could not only be a competitive strategy but also a nutrition strategy,playing an important role in formation and/or maintenance of blooms of the mixotrophic dinoflagellate A.sanguinea. | Yeyin YANG Bozhu HUANG Yingzhong TANG Ning XU | 2021 | Journal of Oceanology and Limnology2021,39,3: | 1 |

| 5 | Evaluation of UAV-derived multimodal remote sensing data for biomass prediction and drought tolerance assessment in bioenergy sorghum显示文摘Screening for drought tolerance is critical to ensure high biomass production of bioenergy sorghum in arid or semi-arid environments. The bottleneck in drought tolerance selection is the challenge of accurately predicting biomass for a large number of genotypes. Although biomass prediction by lowaltitude remote sensing has been widely investigated on various crops, the performance of the predictions are not consistent, especially when applied in a breeding context with hundreds of genotypes. In some cases, biomass prediction of a large group of genotypes benefited from multimodal remote sensing data;while in other cases, the benefits were not obvious. In this study, we evaluated the performance of single and multimodal data(thermal, RGB, and multispectral) derived from an unmanned aerial vehicle(UAV) for biomass prediction for drought tolerance assessments within a context of bioenergy sorghum breeding. The biomass of 360 sorghum genotypes grown under well-watered and water-stressed regimes was predicted with a series of UAV-derived canopy features, including canopy structure, spectral reflectance, and thermal radiation features. Biomass predictions using canopy features derived from the multimodal data showed comparable performance with the best results obtained with the single modal data with coefficients of determination(R2) ranging from 0.40 to 0.53 under water-stressed environment and0.11 to 0.35 under well-watered environment. The significance in biomass prediction was highest with multispectral followed by RGB and lowest with the thermal sensor. Finally, two well-recognized yieldbased drought tolerance indices were calculated from ground truth biomass data and UAV predicted biomass, respectively. | 6 | Treatment of refractory H.pylori by Chai Ping Decoction:two case reports显示文摘目的:幽门螺杆菌感染是最常见的感染之一,目前已经广泛应用了很多医学治疗措施,比如四联疗法和序贯疗法。但部分患者经多次治疗仍有感染。在幽门螺杆菌感染的治疗中,中药得到了广泛的应用。对于反复感染幽门螺杆菌的患者,中医治疗与抗生素治疗相结合是否有效尚需临床观察。方法:报告2例难治性幽门螺杆菌感染病例。一例是一名60岁的中国妇女,诊断为慢性萎缩性胃炎和幽门螺杆菌感染,胃部不适,食欲不振,情绪低落,排便不规律。另一例是一名46岁的越南妇女,已经腹痛11年。我们采用柴平汤联合序贯治疗两例患者。结果:两例患者治疗后均疼痛缓解,幽门螺杆菌被根除。结论:中药联合序贯治疗可能清除幽门螺杆菌感染。根据中医理论,患者出现腹部不适症状,为脾虚湿气证,可以被较好的治疗。 | Heqing Chen Yawei Du Xiaoyi Tang Shuo Feng Xiaoli Wang Xinyi Li Yeyin Hu Youping Li Guihua Tian Bo Li | 2018 | TMR Clinical Research2018,1,2: | 0 |
| 7 | Study of radiation-induced grafting of acrylic acid-sodium styrene sulfonate onto poly (tetrafluoroethylene-co-hexafluoropropylene) film显示文摘Poly(tetrafluoroethylene-co-hexafluoropropylene) (FEP) films were immersed in aqueous solution of acrylic acid (AA) and sodium styrene sulfonate (SSS), then irradiated by Co γ-rays at 25℃. The effects of reaction 60 time,absorbed dose, dose-rate, inhibitor and monomer concentration on the grafting yield were studied. Grafting yields of both AA and SSS onto FEP, respectively, increase with irradiation dose, but some saturation will appear at high dose and monomer concentration. The grafting yield increases with reaction time and then levels off. The graft- ing of SSS onto FEP is more difficult than the grafting of AA.
