1Characterization of humic acids extracted from the sediments of the various rivers and lakes in China显示文摘The humic acids (HAs) isolated from the sediments of the various rivers,lakes,and reservoirs in China were studied using elemental analyzer,fourier transform infrared (FT-IR),and CP/MAS 13C nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy.The results showed that the HAs were characterized by some common chemical and physicochemical properties,but they also pose some differences in the C-containing functional groups.The C/N,C/H,O/C,and O/H ratios differ widely for the various HAs,showing that the elemental composition of the HAs from the various sediments was different due to the different environmental conditions.All HAs show similar spectra with different intense absorbance in the region of 4000-2000 cm-1,suggesting that they have very similar structures and functional groups.The absorbance region between 1900 and 400 cm-1 also showed similar spectra with different intense absorbance,different relative intensities,and some relevant differences for the various HAs.The total aromaticities for the six HAs varied from 23.1% to 41.8%.The differences in the elemental composition and functional groups for the various HAs were attributed to their different biogeochemical origins.The HAs in the sediments from Taihu Lake (one freshwater shallow lake with heavy eutrophication),the Pearl River (the tropical river),and the Liao River (located at the joint of the temperate zone and cold-temperate zone) showed different structural properties due to their different geographical and climate zones.These different properties for the six HAs were expected to affect the sorption,distributions,and fates of heavy metals and organic chemicals.Mengchang HE Chunye LIN 2008Journal of Environmental Sciences2008,20,11:35

7The essential oil components of Cinnamomum cassia: an analysis under different thinning models of plantation Pinus massoniana显示文摘Thinning is an important activity employed in forest management. To date, studies have mainly focused on the effects of thinning on the growth of trees during the same thinning period. In this study, plantation Pinus massoniana Lamb. near maturity were thinned at varying intensities and an economically important species, Cinnamomum cassia Presl., was planted beneath the thinned canopy. The aim of the study was to explore the effects of the extent of thinning on the essential oil content and its components of C. cassia in different parts of the plant, as well as the economic feasibility of the P. massoniana–C.cassia management model. Thinning significantly reduced the oil yield in the bark and branches of C. cassia, but hardly impacted the oil yield from C. cassia leaves compared with pure C. cassia forest(CK). Among the different thinning treatments, both light(T.4) and extensive(T.1)thinning reduced the oil yield of C. cassia bark and new branches. The concentrations of the main aldehydes differed in different parts of the plant and were affected by the extent of thinning. The influence on cinnamaldehyde in the bark was minor, but was much greater in the branches and leaves. Both the oil yield and content of cinnamaldehyde showed that moderate(T.3) thinning was more favorable than other thinning models. 9Residents’ Attitudes Towards Tourism in a Globally Important Agricultural Heritage Systems Pilot Site: a Case Study in China显示文摘Globally Important Agricultural Heritage Systems (GIAHS) is a wide program to promote the conservation and adap-tive management of such systems and their associated landscapes, biodiversity, knowledge systems and cultures. Rice-Fish Systems (RFS) in Longxian village of China, as a traditional agricultural system, was selected as one of the five pilot sites of GIAHS in 2005. Researchers have paid more attention to the dynamic conser-vation and adaptive management of RFS because it is under severe threats from global development challenges. Tourism is suggested to be brought into the RFS conservation program as an alternative industry. This paper presents a comparative study of residents in three types of farm household in Longxian, seeking attitudes to the RFS conservation and tourism development and ways in which such information may guide future strategies. Results show resi-dents, belonging to the household type in which most family mem-bers are abroad, have the most positive attitudes to RFS conserva-tion and tourism development; while residents, as other household type in which less than 50% of family members are abroad, are the least sensitive group in these three household types, due to the motivation of moving abroad weakening their enthusiasm to participate in the local activities. 10Single Atom Alloy Preparation and Applications in Heterogeneous Catalysis显示文摘There have been remarkable progresses in manipulating heterogeneous catalysts' nanostructures in the past decade.The concept of single atom alloy (SAA) was firstly proposed in 2012 when researchers successfully stabilized single Pd atoms on the Cu(111) surface.However,earlier work in 2009,which focused on replacing one Au atom with a Pd atom in thiolate protected Au25 nanoclusters,could also be considered as the pioneer work of single atom alloy.Both kinds of single atom alloys exhibited the potential of maximum utilization of scarce elements and attractive catalytic performances.The well-defined structures of SAA catalysts make accurate modeling possible,which further realizes the rational design of single atom alloy catalysts.In this review,we summarize the research trajectory of single atom alloys as well as recent achievements in this field.We also Introduce several commonly adopted characterization methods for SAA catalysts such as scanning tunneling microscopy (STM),temperature programmed reaction (TPR),extended X-ray absorption fine structure (EXAFS) spectra,matrix assisted laser desorption/ionization mass spectrum (MALDI-MS) and differential pulse voltammetry (DPV).Through discussing recent progresses in SAA catalysts,we propose that future researches in this filed should be focused on exploring new kinds of metal nanocrystals and controlling the nanostructure of SAA even more precisely.Jianyu Han jjanmin Lu Min Wang Yehong Wang Feng Wang 2019Chinese Journal of Chemistry2019,37,9:4
11Tunable oxygen vacancy concentration in vanadium oxide as mass-produced cathode for aqueous zinc-ion batteries显示文摘Oxygen vacancy(Vö)is important in the modification of electrode for rechargeable batteries.However,due to the scarcity of suitable preparation strategy with controllable Vöincorporation,the impact of Vöconcentration on the electrochemical performances remains unclear.Thus,in this work,Vö-V_(2)O_(5)-PEDOT(VöVP)with tunable Vöconcentration is achieved via a spontaneous polymerization strategy,with the capability of mass-production.The introduction of poly(2,3-dihydrothieno-1,4-dioxin)(PEDOT)not only leads to the formation of Vöin V_(2)O_(5),but it also results in a larger interlayer spacing.The as-prepared Vö-V_(2)O_(5)-PEDOT-20.3%with Vöconcentration of 20.3%(denoted as VöVP-20)is able to exhibit high capacity of 449 mAh·g^(−1) at current density of 0.2 A·g^(−1),with excellent cyclic performance of 94.3% after 6,000 cycles.It is shown in the theoretical calculations that excessive Vöin V_(2)O_(5) will lead to an increase in the band gap,which inhibits the electrochemical kinetics and charge conductivity.This is further demonstrated in the experimental results as the electrochemical performance starts to decline when Vöconcentration increases beyond 20.3%.Thus,based on this work,scalable fabrication of high-performance electrode with tunable Vöconcentration can be achieved with the proposed strategy.Yehong Du Xinyu Wang Juncai Sun 2021Nano Research2021,14,3:4
12Peripheral Nerve and Transgene Cells Transplantation in the Treatment of Experimental Neuropathy of SD Rats显示文摘Purpose: To observe whether optic nerve can regenerate by peripheral nerve transplantation and GDNF gene transfer.Methods: Optic nerve was transected about 2 mm posterior to the eye to establish experimental models of optic neuropathy. Sciatic nerve was sutured to the sheath of injury optic nerve by a 10 - 0 nylon, pcDNA3-GDNF was smeared to the joint and injected to the vitreous cavity. The regenerated retinal ganglion cells axons were observed by HRP. The retina and optic nerve were observed by pathohistological methods.Results: Some retinal ganglion cells with regenerated axons could be seen a week after transplantation with large cell bodies. The cells could be identified by HRP. The regenerated nerve fibers grew to the transplanted sciatic nerve. Then the number of retinal ganglion cells with regenerated axons increased with time going. Only a few regenerated retinal ganglion cells could be seen two months after transplantation. 13Characterization of Glucocorticoid Receptor on Lymphocytes in Chinese Patients with Glucocorticoid-induced Glaucoma显示文摘Purpose : We studied the pathogenesis of glucocorticoid-induced glucoma (GIG) through characterization of glucocorticoid receptor (GR) on lymphocytes in Chinese patients with GIG.Methods:By radioligand receptor binding followed by Scatchard analysis, the specific binding sites were characterized and quantitated for glucocorticoid receptors on peripheral blood lymphocytes obtained from patients with GIG and the control group.Results:The binding sites we detected were as follows; 12.7 ± 1.47 × 103 receptors per cell with a KD of 3.02 ± 0.62nmol/L in patients with GIG, 7.26 ± 0.45 × 103 receptors per cell with a KD of 3.03 ± 0.56nmol/L in the control group. The statistical difference of receptors per cell is significant between two groups (p < 0.05), patients with GIG having more GR binding sites, while the difference of Kd is not significant ( p > 0.05 ) . 14Determination of dioxin-like polychlorinated biphenyls in soil and moss from Fildes Peninsula,Antarctica显示文摘Dioxin-like polychlorinated biphenyls(PCBs) are a class of toxic and persistent chemicals that are often found in the environment.The determination of dioxin-like PCBs in Fildes Peninsula,Antarctica,is reported in this paper.Dioxin-like PCBs were widely distributed in Antarctic soil and moss with concentration of 2.23-27.2 pg/g in soil and 10.4-812 pg/g in moss.The highest concentrations were found in the Ardley Island area and the lowest concentrations on the west coast.The contribution of PCB-118 to the ∑12PCBs ranged from 36.0% to 69.6% in soil,and 17.2% to 43.4% in moss.The congener specific patterns in soil and moss were similar.Long-range atmospheric transport is thought to be the main source of PCBs detected on King George Island.The ∑12PCBs toxic equivalent(TEQ) in soil was 0.400×10?3 to 516×10?3 pg(TEQ)/g with a mean value of 147×10?3 pg(TEQ)/g.PCB-126 had the largest contribution(81.1%) to the ∑12PCBs TEQ in soil.The ∑12PCBs TEQ in moss ranged from 2.90×10?3 to 1.19 pg/g with a mean value of 0.482 pg/g.PCB-126 was also the largest contributor(91.4%) to the ∑12PCBs TEQ in moss.The mean TEQ in moss was about 40 times that in soil.WANG Qiang SHI YeHong HU JianXin YAO ZiWei FANG XueKun DONG YiAn 2012Chinese Science Bulletin2012,57,9:3

16Cutaneous Hypersensitivity as an Indicator of Visceral Inflammation via C-Nociceptor Axon Bifurcation显示文摘Pain on the body surface can accompany disorders in the deep tissue or internal organs. However, the anatomical and physiological mechanisms are obscure.Here, we provided direct evidence of axon bifurcation in primary C-nociceptive neurons that innervate both the skin and a visceral organ. Double-labeled dorsal root ganglion(DRG) neurons and Evans blue extravasation were observed in 3 types of chemically-induced visceral inflammation(colitis, urocystitis, and acute gastritis) rat models.In the colitis model, mechanical hypersensitivity and spontaneous activity were recorded in vivo from doublelabeled C-nociceptive neurons in S1 or L6 DRGs. These neurons showed significantly enhanced responses to both somatic stimulation and colorectal distension. Our findings suggest that the branching of C-nociceptor axons contribute to cutaneous hypersensitivity in visceral inflammation. 18Inhibition of Muscular Nociceptive Afferents via the Activation of Cutaneous Nociceptors in a Rat Model of Inflammatory Muscle Pain显示文摘Topical irritants such as capsaicin(CAP),peppermint oil(PO),and mustard oil(MO)are effective in relieving inflammatory muscle pain.We investigated the effects of topical irritants in a rat model of inflammatory muscle pain produced by injecting complete Freund's adjuvant(CFA)into the tibialis anterior muscle.CFAinduced mechanical hypersensitivity and the spontaneous activity of muscular nociceptive afferents,and decreased weight-bearing of the hindlimb were relieved by topical application of CAP,PO,or MO on the skin overlying the inflamed muscle.The effects of topical irritants were abolished when applied to the skin on the ipsilateral plantar region or on the contralateral leg,or when the relevant cutaneous nerve or dorsal root was transected.Our results demonstrated that topical irritants may alleviate inflammatory muscle pain via activating cutaneous nociceptors and subsequently inhibiting the abnormal activity of muscular nociceptive neurons.Yehong Fang Jie Zhu Wanru Duan Yikuan Xie Chao Ma 2020Neuroscience Bulletin2020,36,1:2
19Aquaporin-1 Expressed in Cultured Human Trabecular Meshwork Cells显示文摘Objective:To determine if aquaporin-1 could be detected in cultures of human trabecularshwork cells. Methods: Using primers specific for aquaporin-1, reverse transcription combined withpolymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) yielded a product and its size with total RNAprepared from the human trabecular meshwork cells. SDS-PAGE and immunoblottingwere also used in this study to detect the specific water channel.Results: The presence of this product and its size (298 base pairs) are consistent withthat of an aquaporin-1 message in these cells. 20Human umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cells for psoriasis:a phase 1/2a,single-arm study显示文摘Psoriasis is a common,chronic immune-mediated systemic disease that had no effective and durable treatment.Mesenchymal stem cells(MSCs)have immunomodulatory properties.Therefore,we performed a phase 1/2a,single-arm clinical trial to evaluate the safety and efficacy of human umbilical cord-derived MSCs(UMSCs)in the treatment of psoriasis and to preliminarily explore the possible mechanisms.Seventeen patients with psoriasis were enrolled and received UMsC infusions.Adverse events,laboratory parameters,PASl,and PGA were analyzed.We did not observe obvious side effects during the treatment and 6-month follow-up.A total of 47.1%(8/17)of the psoriasis patients had at least 40%improvement in the PASl score,and 17.6%(3/17)had no sign of disease or minimal disease based on the PGA score.And the efficiency was 25%(2/8)for males and 66.7%(6/9)for females.After UMSC transplantation(UMSCT),the frequencies of Tregs and CD4^(+)memory T cells were significantly increased,and the frequencies of T helper(Th)17 and CD4^(+)naive T cells were significantly decreased in peripheral blood(PB)of psoriasis patients.And all responders showed significant increases in Tregs and CD4^(+)memory T cells,and significant decreases in Th17 cells and serum IL-17 level after UMsCT.And baseline level of Tregs in responders were significantly lower than those in nonresponders.In conclusion,allogeneic UMSCT is safe and partially effective in psoriasis patients,and level of Tregs may be used as a potent biomarker to predict the clinical efficacy of UMSCT.Trial registration Clinical Trials NCT03765957.Lamei Cheng Siqi Wang Cong Peng Xiao Zou Chao Yang Hua Mei Chuang Li Xian Su Na Xiao Qi Ouyang Mi Zhang Qiaolin Wang Yan Luo Minxue Shen Qun Qin Honglin Wang Wu Zhu Guangxiu Lu Ge Lin Yehong Kuang Xiang Chen 2022Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2022,7,9:2
