Outcome of the efficacy of Chinese herbal medicine for functional constipation:A systematic review and meta-analysis显示文摘BACKGROUND Functional constipation(FC)is a common and chronic gastrointestinal disease and its treatment remains challenging.AIM To evaluate the efficacy and safety of Chinese herbal medicine(CHM)on efficacy rate, global symptoms, bowel movements and the Bristol Stool Scale score in patients with FC by summarizing current available randomized controlled trials(RCTs).METHODS RCTs with CHM to treat FC were identified by a systematic search of six databases from inception to October 20,2020.Two independent reviewers assessed the quality of the included articles and extracted data.Meta-analyses were performed to odds ratio(OR),mean differences(MD)and 95%confidence interval(CI)using random-effects models.Subgroup analyses and sensitivity analyses were used to explore and interpret the sources of heterogeneity. The funnel plot,Begg’s test and Egger’s test were used to detect publication bias.RESULTS Ninety-seven studies involving 8693 patients were included in this work.CHM was significantly associated with a higher efficacy rate(OR:3.62,95%CI:3.19-4.11,P<0.00001)less severe global symptoms(OR:4.03,95%CI:3.49-4.65,P<0.00001)compared with control treatment, with the low heterogeneity between studies(I2=0%,P=0.76).CHM was also associated with more frequent bowel movements(MD 0.83,95%CI:0.67-0.98,P<0.00001),a lower score on the Bristol Stool Scale(OR:1.63,95%CI:1.15-2.32,P<0.006),and a not significant recurrence rate(OR:0.47,95%CI:0.22-0.99,P=0.05).No serious adverse effects of CHM were reported.CONCLUSION In this meta-analysis,we found that CHM may have potential benefits in increasing the number of bowel movements, improving stool characteristics and alleviating global symptoms in FC patients. However,a firm conclusion could not be reached because of the poor quality of the included trials.Further trials with higher quality are required. | Zipan Lyu Yibo Fan Yang Bai Tao Liu Linda LD Zhong Hui-Feng Liang | 2022 | World Journal of Clinical Cases2022,10,15: | 4
MHGCN:Multiview Highway Graph Convolutional Network for Cross-Lingual Entity Alignment显示文摘Knowledge graphs(KGs)provide a wealth of prior knowledge for the research on social networks.Crosslingual entity alignment aims at integrating complementary KGs from different languages and thus benefits various knowledge-driven social network studies.Recent entity alignment methods often take an embedding-based approach to model the entity and relation embedding of KGs.However, these studies mostly focus on the information of the entity itself and its structural features but ignore the influence of multiple types of data in KGs.In this paper,we propose a new embedding-based framework named multiview highway graph convolutional network(MHGCN),which considers the entity alignment from the views of entity semantic, relation semantic, and entity attribute. To learn the structural features of an entity, the MHGCN employs a highway graph convolutional network(GCN)for entity embedding in each view.In addition, the MHGCN weights and fuses the multiple views according to the importance of the embedding from each view to obtain a better entity embedding. The alignment entities are identified based on the similarity of entity embeddings. The experimental results show that the MHGCN consistently outperforms the state-of-the-art alignment methods. The research also will benefit knowledge fusion through cross-lingual KG entity alignment. | Jianliang Gao Xiangyue Liu Yibo Chen Fan Xiong | 2022 | Tsinghua Science and Technology2022,27,4: | 3
Stable Ni-rich layered oxide cathode for sulfide-based all-solid-state lithium battery显示文摘Sulfide-based all-solid-state lithium-ion batteries(ASSLIBs)are one of the most promising energy storage technologies due to their high safety and ionic conductivity. To achieve greater energy density,a Ni-rich layered oxide LiNi_(x)Co_(y)M_(1-x-y)O_(2)(NCM,MMn/Al,x≥0.6)is desirable due to its relatively high voltage and large capacity. However, interfacial side reactions between the NCM and sulfide solid electrolytes lead to undesirable interfacial passivation layers and low ionic conductivity, thereby degrading the electrochemical performance of NCM sulfide all-solid-state batteries.Herein,a time-/cost-effective sulfidation strategy is exploited to sulfidize a Ni-rich NCM_(88) cathode in a mixed gas atmosphere of N_(2) and CS_(2).A new type of cathode(NCM88-S)with an ultrathin(∼2nm)surface layer is obtained, which significantly reduces the interfacial side reactions/resistance and improves the interfacial stability. The resulting NCM_(88)-S/Li_(6)PS_(5)Cl/Li_(4)Ti_(5)O_(12) ASSLIB exhibits superior performance, including a high discharge specific capacity(200.7 mAh g−1)close to that of liquid batteries, excellent cycling performance(a capacity retention of 87%after 500 cycles),and satisfactory rate performance(158.3 mAh g^(−1) at 1C). | Yue Wang Zhixuan Wang Dengxu Wu Quanhai Niu Pushun Lu Tenghuan Ma Yibo Su Liquan Chen Hong Li Fan Wu | 2022 | eScience2022,2,5: | 2

A novel approach to the attitude stabilization structure for ducted-fan operative aerial robots:Finding improvements for modeling error and strong external transient disturbance显示文摘This research concerns a novel attitude stabilization structure for a ducted-fan aerial robot to work against modeling error and strong external transient disturbance, and it focuses on two main control targets:modeling error compensation, and the improvement of disturbance resistance along the rolling channel. For the first research objective,we proposed an adaptive nominal controller with the reconfigurable control law design based on the estimation of the modeling error found in the closed-loop.Results of simulations and corresponding flight tests verified that the proposed adaptive control structure is robust against both constant and time-varying modeling error. For the other research objective,a SAC(Stability Augmentation Control)structure was devised based on the CMG(Control Moment Gyroscope)theory in order to provide extra moment which effectively withstands the transient disturbance beyond the CDG(Critical Disturbance Gain).Furthermore,we studied the corresponding controller for the SAC via the SMC(sliding mode control)theory, while the working mechanism and performance of the SAC were verified through a specially devised prototype. | Wei FAN Bin XU Changle XIANG Yibo ZHANG Haiyang YANG | 2022 | Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2022,35,2: | 1

Enhanced hydrothermal stability of Cu-SAPO-34 with an ultrathin TiO_(2)coated by atomic layer deposition for NH3-SCR显示文摘Reducing pollution and carbon emissions is an important step toward peaking CO_(2)emissions before 2030 and reaching carbon neutrality before 2060,and heavy diesel vehicle pollution, particularly nitrogen oxides(NOx)emissions,is an essential part.CuSAPO-34 is a CHA-type small pore molecular sieve with excellent ammonia(NH_(3))selective catalytic reduction(NH_(3)-SCR)catalytic activity, but it cannot be stored or applied because of severe degradation caused by low-temperature hydrothermal aging. To improve the hydrothermal stability,TiO_(2)was coated on the surface of Cu-SAPO-34 by the ALD method to form a uniform nanolayer.Though this ultrathin TiO_(2)nanolayer has little effect on NH_(3)-SCR catalytic activity of Cu-SAPO-34,the resistance to low-temperature hydrothermal aging in liquid water at 80℃for 24 h has greatly been improved.A study carried out by SEM,XRD,NH_(3)-TPD,and EPR,showed that the ultra-thin TiO_(2)nanolayers were covered uniformly and hydrolysis of frameworks silicon and the migration of Cu^(2+)was retarded. This method has some implications for the future preparation of highly robust Cu-SAPO-34 catalysts for industrial applications. This research could inspire the development of highly robust CuSAPO-34 catalysts to control the NOx emissions from diesel engines. | TIAN HeYuan XI WenChang ZHANG YiBo SUN LiWei LIU Peng WU Fan YANG Guo GUO Feng YANG XiangGuang | 2022 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2022,65,10: | 1
Conservation genetics and genomics of threatened vertebrates in China显示文摘Conservation genetics and genomics are two independent disciplines that focus on using new techniques in genetics and genomics to solve problems in conservation biology. During the past two decades, conservation genetics and genomics have experienced rapid progress. Here, we summarize the research advances in the conservation genetics and genomics of threatened vertebrates(e.g., carnivorans, primates, ungulates, cetaceans, avians, amphibians and reptiles) in China. First, we introduce the concepts of conservation genetics and genomics and their development. Second, we review the recent advances in conservation genetics research, including noninvasive genetics and landscape genetics. Third, we summarize the progress in conservation genomics research, which mainly focuses on resolving genetic problems relevant to conservation such as genetic diversity, genetic structure, demographic history, and genomic evolution and adaptation. Finally, we discuss the future directions of conservation genetics and genomics. | Huizhong Fan Yibo Hu Qi Wu Yonggang Nie Li Yan Fuwen Wei | 2018 | Journal of Genetics and Genomics2018,45,11: | 1
Influence of Wall Effect on Comprehensive Controllability for Ducted Fan Aircraft显示文摘A novel coaxial ducted fan structure aircraft is proposed to enable the aircraft near vertical walls at high altitudes. The state space equation of the system can be obtained by correlation deduction and identification of the whole prototype model.Based on the duct test bench experiment and computational fluid dynamics(CFD)simulation analysis, the expressions between the different distances dWE from the rotor center of the prototype to the wall and the thrust, reaction torque, and tilting moment of the system under hovering conditions are obtained. The influence of the wall effect of the prototype is incorporated into the system model to analyze the relationship between distance dWE and the comprehensive controllability of the system. The results show that the system comprehensive controllability vector of other channels changes little with the decrease of the distance dWE,and only the controllability vector of the rolling channel increases significantly. At the same time, the tilting moment also increases significantly, which strengthens the tendency of the prototype to tilt towards the wall. | Tianfu Ai Changle Xiang Bin Xu Wei Fan Yibo Zhang | 2020 | Journal of Beijing Institute of Technology2020,29,4: | 0
A whole-genome association approach for large-scale interspecies traits显示文摘Dear Editor,The genetic mechanism of large-scale interspecies traits, including evolutionary novelties and the characteristics of high taxa,is a central issue in evolutionary biology. At present,genome-wide association studies(GWAS)are known as one of the most powerful and affordable tools for understanding the association between heritable variations and phenotypic changes in populations of single species. Therefore,it would be interesting to determine whether GWAS can be applied to study large-scale interspecies traits. | Huizhong Fan Lei Chen Yibo Hu Guohui Shi Yi Dai Fuwen Wei Qi Wu | 2021 | Science China(Life Sciences)2021,64,8: | 0
Synteny search identifies carnivore Y chromosome for evolution of male specific genes显示文摘The explosive accumulation of mammalian genomes has provided a valuable resource to characterize the evolution of the Y chromosome.Unexpectedly, the Y-chromosome sequence has been characterized in only a small handful of species, with the majority being model organisms. Thus, identification of Y-linked scaffolds from unordered genome sequences is becoming more important. Here,we used a syntenic-based approach to generate the scaffolds of the male-specific region of the Y chromosome(MSY)from the genome sequence of 6 male carnivore species. Our results identified 14,15,9,28,14 and 11 Y-linked scaffolds in polar bears, pacific walruses, red pandas, cheetahs, ferrets and tigers, covering 1.55 Mbp,2.62 Mbp,964 Kb,1.75 Mb,2.17 Mbp and 1.84 Mb MSY,respectively. All the candidate Y-linked scaffolds in 3 selected species(red pandas, polar bears and tigers)were successfully verified using polymerase chain reaction. We re-annotated 8 carnivore MSYs including these 6 Y-linked scaffolds and domestic dog and cat MSY;a total of 11 orthologous genes conserved in at least 7 of the 8 carnivores were identified. These 11 Y-linked genes have significantly higher evolutionary rates compared with their X-linked counterparts, indicating less purifying selection for MSY genes.Taken together, our study shows that the approach of synteny search is a reliable and easily affordable strategy to identify Y-linked scaffolds from unordered carnivore genomes and provides a preliminary evolutionary study for carnivore MSY genes. | Huizhong FAN Yibo HU Lei SHAN Lijun YU Bing WANG Min LI Qi WU Fuwen WEI | 2019 | Integrative Zoology2019,14,3: | 0
Comparative Analysis of Steel Plates and PLA Used for Joint Repair in Humans and Canines显示文摘The exploration of fracture internal fixation materials has been one of the research hotspots in the field of biomedical materials. The traditional internal fixation material for fracture is metal fixation.Although its mechanical strength is very large,it can not be degraded and absorbed in human body after implantation of human body or canine joint, which requires a secondary operation to remove, which not only brings pain to patients, but also causes economic pay.[1]Therefore,the development of a biodegradable fracture internal fixation material has become the goal of many researchers.Polylactic acid(PLA)is nontoxic and harmless, has good biocompatibility and strong mechanical properties. It can be degraded in vivo after implantation. The degradation products are CO2 and H2O.[2]For the study of the feasibility of polylactic acid as a substitute for common fracture fixation materials,18 northern Chinese pastoral dogs were randomly divided into blank group,PLA group and plate group. The data were recorded according to the Wakitani score from the first week to the fifteenth week after operation.First, all the indexes were divided into two categories by principal component analysis[3],then the blank group, steel plate group and PLA group were fitted and compared. Finally,it is concluded that PLA is more beneficial to joint repair than steel plate. | Yi Zhu Yibo Wang Fan Yang Hao Yue | 2021 | Journal of Integrative Medicine(双语)2021,10,1: | 0

Tuning the crystallinity of MnO_(2) oxidant to achieve highly efficient pollutant degradation显示文摘Manganese dioxide(MnO_(2)), a commonly find oxidant in both natural environment and industrial application, plays a crucial role for various organic compound degradation. Tuning the MnO_(2) crystal structure is a cost-effective strategy to boost the oxidation reactions, where the challenge remains due to lacking indepth investigation of the crystal properties. Herein, MnO_(2) with different crystalline structures(x-MnO_(2))including α-, β-and δ-was prepared through the hydrothermal synthesis for a typical organic pollutant removal. The structural and degradation analysis indicated that the oxidation capacity was originated from Mn^(3+) and oxygen vacancies(OVs). The intrinsic relationships between oxidation performance and other physiochemical properties such as morphology and electrochemistry were thoroughly discussed, and positive correlations between oxidation capacity and electrochemical properties were found which eventually led to excellent oxidation performance via modulating the above-mentioned properties. Moreover, the K^(+) content was determined to be the most crucial role in manipulating the structure properties. This work offers a crystal-level insight into the relationship between the crystal structure and oxidative property, promoting rational design of highly efficient oxidant. | Min Zhong Meng Li Zixi Fan Wansong Huang Huiru Hao Zhixuan Xia Qian Zhang Haojin Peng Yibo Zhang | 2023 | Chinese Chemical Letters2023,34,1: | 0
