2The 2016 Summer Floods in China and Associated Physical Mechanisms:A Comparison with 1998显示文摘The characteristics of droughts and floods in China during the summers(May–August)of 2016 and 1998 were compared in great detail,together with the associated atmospheric circulations and external-forcing factors.Following results are obtained.(1)The precipitation was mostly above normal in China in summer 2016,with two main rainfall belts located in the Yangtze River valley(YRV)and North China.Compared with 1998,a similar rainfall belt was located over the YRV,with precipitation 100%and more above normal.However,the seasonal processes of Meiyu were different.A typical'Secondary Meiyu'occurred in 1998,whereas dry conditions dominated the YRV in2016.(2)During May–July 2016,the Ural high was weaker than normal,but it was stronger than normal in 1998.This difference resulted from fairly different distributions of sea surface temperature anomalies(SSTAs)over the North Atlantic Ocean during the preceding winter and spring of the two years.(3)Nonetheless,tropical and subtropical circulation systems were much more similar in May–July of 2016 and 1998.The circulation systems in both years were characterized by a stronger than normal and more westward-extending western Pacific subtropical high(WPSH),a weaker than normal East Asian summer monsoon(EASM),and anomalous convergence of moisture flux in the mid and lower reaches of the YRV.These similar circulation anomalies were attributed to the similar tropical SSTA pattern in the preceding seasons,i.e.,the super El Ni?o and strong warming in the tropical Indian Ocean.(4)Significant differences in the circulation pattern were observed in August between the two years.The WPSH broke up in August 2016,with its western part being combined with the continental high and persistently dominating eastern China.The EASM suddenly became stronger,and dry conditions prevailed in the YRV.On the contrary,the EASM was weaker in August 1998 and the'Secondary Meiyu'took place in the YRV.The Madden–Julian Oscillation(MJO)was extremely active in August 2016 and stayed in western Pacific for 25 days.It triggered frequent tropical cyclone activities and further influenced the significant turning of tropical and subtropical circulations in August2016.In contrast,the MJO was active over the tropical Indian Ocean in August 1998,conducive to the maintenance of a strong WPSH.Alongside the above oceanic factors and atmospheric circulation anomalies,the thermal effect of snow cover over the Qinghai–Tibetan Plateau from the preceding winter to spring in 2016 was much weaker than that in 1998.This may explain the relatively stronger EASM and more abundant precipitation in North China in 2016than those in 1998.Yuan YUAN Hui GAO Weijing LI Yanju LIU Lijuan CHEN Bin ZHOU Yihui DING 2017Journal of Meteorological Research2017,31,2:11
3Experimental study of hollow rectangular bridge column performance under vertical and cyclically bilateral loads显示文摘To investigate the seismic performance of hollow reinforced concrete(RC) bridge columns of rectangular cross section under constant axial load and cyclically biaxial bending,five specimens were tested.A parametric study is carried out for different axial load ratios,longitudinal reinforcement ratios and lateral reinforcement ratios.The experimental results showed that all tested specimens failed in the flexural failure mode and their ultimate performance was dominated by flexural capacity,which is represented by the rupture/buckling of tensile longitudinal rebars at the bottom of the bridge columns.Biaxial force and displacement hysteresis loops showed significant stiffness and strength degradations,and the pinching effect and coupling interaction effect of both directions severely decrease the structural seismic resistance.However,the measured ductility coefficient varying from 3.5 to 5.7 and the equivalent viscous damping ratio varying from 0.19 and 0.26 can meet the requirements of the seismic design.The hollow RC rectangular bridge columns with configurations of lateral reinforcement in this study have excellent performance under bidirectional earthquake excitations,and may be considered as a substitute for current hollow RC rectangular section configurations described in the Guideline for Seismic Design of Highway Bridges(JTG/T B02-01-2008).The length of the plastic hinge region was found to approach one sixth of the hollow RC rectangular bridge column height for all specimen columns,and it was much less than those specified in the current JTG/T.Thus,the length of the plastic hinge region is more concentrated for RC rectangular hollow bridge columns.Han Qiang Du Xiuli Yihui Zhou George C. 4Electroacupuncture at Tianshu (ST 25) for diarrhea-predominant irritable bowel syndrome using positron emission tomography Changes in visceral sensation center显示文摘Previous studies have demonstrated that electroacupuncture therapy is effective in the treatment of irritable bowel syndrome. However, the precise mechanism of this therapy is unknown. The present study served to investigate the effects of electroacupuncture therapy on treatment of patients with diarrhea-predominant irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). We compared brain activation maps based on the changes of cerebral glucose metabolism obtained by 18-fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission tomography scanning under three conditions: resting, rectal balloon distension and rectal balloon distension plus electroacupuncture. Under the resting condition, compared with healthy controls, IBS patients displayed an increasing regional cerebral metabolic rate of glucose over a wide range: bilateral superior temporal gyrus, right middle occipital gyrus, superior frontal gyrus and bilateral middle frontal gyrus. However, there was no significant activity in the visceral pain center. Compared with the resting condition, under the rectal balloon distension condition, patients with IBS had a greater regional cerebral metabolic rate of glucose in the prefrontal cortex, left anterior cingulate cortex, postcentral gyrus, precentral gyrus and temporal gyrus. Under the rectal balloon distension plus electroacupuncture condition, stimulation by electroacupuncture at Tianshu (ST 25) manifested a decreased regional cerebral metabolic rate of glucose in the left cingulate gyrus, right insula, right caudate nucleus, fusiform gyrus and hippocampal gyrus. 5Effect of Stress and Galvanic Factors on the Corrosion Behave of Aluminum Alloy显示文摘The interaction between stress and galvanic during the corrosion process of 5050 aluminum alloys was studied and the evolution of mechanics properties was indicated. Electrochemical impedance technique and scanning electron microscopy were used to analyze the surface electrochemical states and the corrosion morphology. At the same time, corrosion kinetics and thermodynamic theory were used to analyze the influencing mechanism of the stress factor and the galvanic factor. The results show that both of galvanic factor and tensile stress factor can increase the corrosion potential of aluminum alloys and result in the corrosion resistance decrease. With decreasing corrosion resistance, the mechanical properties of aluminum alloys decrease. These phenomena are attributed to two reasons: One is that aluminum alloys may under the condition of anodic polarization after coupled with 40 Cr Ni Mo A steel, so the corrosion can be promoted; The other is that with increasing stress, the electrochemical potential of 5050 aluminum alloys decreases and the potential difference between two materials increases, so the corrosion becomes serious. 6A tubular focused sonochemistry reactor显示文摘This paper presents a new sonochemistry reactor, which consists of a cylindrical tube with a certain length and piezoelectric transducers at tube’s end with the longitudinal vibration. The tube can effectively transform the longitudinal vibration into the radial vibration and thereby generates ultrasound. Furthermore, ultrasound can be focused to form high-intensity ultrasonic field inside tube. The reactor boasts of simple structure and its whole vessel wall can radiate ultrasound so that the electroacoustic transfer efficiency is high. The focused ultrasonic field provides good condition for sonochemical reaction. 8The effect of monosialylganglioside mix modifying the PEGylated liposomal epirubicin on the accelerated blood clearance phenomenon显示文摘PEGylated liposomes are potential candidates to improve the pharmacokinetic characteristics of encapsulated drugs, to extend their circulation half-life and facilitate their passive accumulation at tumour sites. However, PEG-modified liposomes can induce accelerated blood clearance(ABC) upon repeated administration, and the extent of ABC phenomenon on the cytotoxic drugs-containing PEGylated liposomes is related to the dose of the cytotoxic drugs.In this study, EPI served as a model cytotoxic drug, a hydrophilic surfactant molecule,monosialylganglioside(GM1) was chosen and modified on the liposomes together with PEG.It was shown that upon mixed modification, when GM1 contents reached 10% or 15% mol,the ABC phenomenon of the PEGylated liposomal EPI significantly reduced. We also found that GM1 played an important role in abrogating the ABC phenomenon in both the induction phase and the effectuation phase. The results suggested that GM1 incorporation unfortunately did not avoid occurrence of ABC phenomenon completely, but GM1 modification on PEGylated liposomes may provide a significant improvement in clinical practice of PEGylated liposomes. 9Effects of extrusion and enzymatic debranching on the structural characteristics and digestibility of corn and potato starches显示文摘Amylose content has a profound impact on the contents of slowly digestible starch and resistant starch.Enzymatic debranching is a safe method to increase the amylose content,however,the lower substrate concentration and high viscosity of fully gelatinized starch limit the efficiency and yield of this method.This paper aims to explore the effects of extrusion and enzymatic debranching on increasing the amylose content thereby increasing slowly digestible starch and resistant starch contents.Different starch concentrations (10%,15%,and 20%) of extruded corn starch (ECS) and extruded potato starch (EPS) were used to debranch.Both debranched ECS and debranched EPS showed high amylose content of approximately 90%,indicating that all samples with different starch concentrations achieved high-efficiency enzymatic debranching.The high-performance liquid chromatograph results indicated that the samples were mainly short amylose.The samples exhibit a typical B-type crystalline structure and the relative crystallinity of them exceeds 37%.The short amylose exhibited rapid rearrangement ability,with the gelatinization temperature range of rescanning determined as 80–125℃,this will facilitate the formation of slowly digestible starch and resistant starch.The slowly digestible starch and resistant starch contents of the samples (debranched ECS and debranched EPS) were between 23% and 30% and between 31% and 37%,respectively.These results indicate that the extrusion and enzymatic debranching of a high substrate concentration can efficiently increase the amylose content,thereby significantly reducing the digestibility of starch,and has broad prospects of the actual production of slowly digestible starch and resistant starch.Qing Liu Yihui Wang Yueyue Yang Shichao Bian Xing Zhou Kunfu Zhu Lulian Xu Zhengyu Jin Aiquan Jiao 2022Food Bioscience2022,47,3:2
10Electronic Structure and Physical Characteristics of Dioxin Under External Electric Field显示文摘Dioxin is a highly toxic and caustic substance,which widely existed in the atmosphere,soil and water with tiny particles.Dioxin pollution has become a major problem that concerns the survival of mankind,which must be strictly controlled.The bond length,bond angle,energy,dipole moment,orbital energy level distribution of dioxin under the external field are investigated using DFT(density functional theory)on basis set level of B3LYP/6-31G(d,p).The results indicate that with the increase of the electric field,the length of one Carbon-Oxygen bond increases while another Carbon-Oxygen bond decreases.The energy gradually decreases with the electric field,while the change of the dipole moment has an opposite trend.In the infrared spectra,the vibration frequency decreases with the electric field increasing and shows an obvious red shift.Moreover,the ultraviolet-visible absorption spectra under different electric fields are analyzed with TD-DFT(time-dependent density functional theory)method.The wavelength of the strongest absorption peak increases and occurs red shift with the increase of the electric field.All the above results can provide reference for further research on the properties of dioxin under different external electric field.Wenyi Yin Xiangyun Zhang Bumaliya Abulimiti Yuzhu Liu Yihui Yan Fengbin Zhou Feng Jin 2018Computers, Materials & Continua2018,,4:2
11Bibliometrics and visual analysis for clinical research on intervention of traditional Chinese medicine nursing technology on rheumatoid arthritis显示文摘Objective:The objective of this study is to explore the current situation,clinical research hot spots,and trends of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)nursing technology in rheumatoid arthritis(RA),to draw a panorama of clinical research,to provide the basis and clues for subsequent high-level evidence integration and further in-depth research.Materials and Methods:Seven databases including China National Knowledge Infrastructure,Chinese Scientific Journal Database(VIP),Wanfang Database,Chinese Biomedical Literature Database(Sino-Med),PubMed,Embase,and the Cochrane Library were searched.The bibliometric method and visualization software CiteSpace were used to conduct a multi-dimensional analysis of the included literature.Results:A total of 805 pieces of literature were included(of them,one was written in German and four in English),and the number of published literature showed an increasing trend year by year.There were only 30(3.73%)pieces of literature published in nursing journals.The hot spots of the co-occurrence map were concentrated in:(1)the nursing of fumigation in RA;(2)the efficacy evaluation of TCM nursing technology on pain,joint malformation,and joint dysfunction caused by RA.The included literature themes focused on five TCM technologies:fumigation,moxibustion,acupoint patching,acupoint injection,and Chinese herbal soaking.The beginning year and strength in TCM fumigation were 2012 and 5.2,and those in moxibustion were 2011 and 3.38.Conclusion:The related studies are on the rise.It has entered the field of international readers with clear research hot spots.However,there are still shortcomings such as little literature published in Chinese nursing core journals,few non-Chinese-related documents,and a lack of international exchanges and cooperation.The current research hot spots in this field are TCM fumigation,and the cutting-edge trend of future research may be fumigation and moxibustion technology.It is suggested that further research can focus on evidence integration and original research on the self-optimization of these two techniques.Ling TANG Jianni QU Hong GUO Mei WANG Nini XU Xiaoyan BAI Xueyan FAN Zhixuan XU Yihui TIAN Fen ZHOU 2022Journal of Integrative Nursing2022,4,1:2
12Mechanical and low-cycle fatigue behavior of stainless reinforcing steel for earthquake engineering applications显示文摘Use of stainless reinforcing steel (SRS) in reinforced concrete (RC) structures is a promising solution to corrosion issues.However, for SRS to be used in seismic applications, several mechanical properties need to be investigated.These include specifi ed and actual yield strengths, tensile strengths, uniform elongations and low-cycle fatigue behavior.Three types of SRSs (Talley S24100, Talley 316LN and Talley 2205) were tested and the results are reported in this paper.They were compared with the properties of A706 carbon reinforcing steel (RS), which is typical for seismic applications, and MMFX II, which is a high strength, corrosion resistant RS.Low-cycle fatigue tests of the RS coupons were conducted under strain control with constant amplitude to obtain strain life models of the steels.Test results show that the SRSs have slightly lower moduli of elasticity, higher uniform elongations before necking, and better low-cycle fatigue performance than A706 and MMFX II.All five types of RSs tested satisfy the requirements of the ACI 318 code on the lower limit of the tensile to yield strength ratio.Except Talley 2205, the other four types of RSs investigated meet the ACI 318 requirement that the actual yield strength does not exceed the specified yield strength by more than 18 ksi (124 MPa).Among the three types of SRSs tested, Talley S24100 possesses the highest uniform elongation before necking, and the best low-cycle fatigue performance.Yihui Zhou Yu-Chen OU George C.
